Refund
My husband and I had a flight scheduled on Caribbean Air in February, but the airline changed our flight, which did not sync with the other reservations we had.
We were told we would receive a full refund, and as of today, we have not received it.
We are:
Richard and Patricia Edwards

Our flight was scheduled to fly into Montego Bay, Jamaica on February 10, 2021 and return on February 20, 2021
Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Requesting travel voucher for tickets purchased pre-covid19
Good afternoon, I would like to get feedback on the process for acquiring a travel voucher for two tickets purchased last year for my son and I to travel to Trinidad in April 2020 to participate in a junior tennis tournament. I went to the V.C. Bird Int'l Airport today and enquired on the process and was advised by the helpdesk that I needed to call the 800 #. I called the 800 # and was advised by the automated answering service that I needed to file a complaint via this medium.
Due to the onset of COVID19 the T&T Tennis tournament was cancelled. At the time the flights were cancelled, I was advised that I would get credit towards future travel on Caribbean Airlines. The E-ticket numbers are 106-[protected] and 106-[protected] in the names of Peter Quinn and Giovanni Quinn respectively.
It would be very unfortunate if I could not get credit toward future travel given that the cancellation of the travel itinerary was through no fault of mine but due to COVID19.
Please advise.
Desired outcome: Travel voucher towards future travel

Request of Refund not received
On Wednesday June 17th, 2020 I purchased a one-way ticket from POS Trinidad to YYZ Toronto departing July 18th, 2020. The flight was cancelled due to COVID-19, however I was not informed of the cancellation. I contacted Caribbean Airlines after hearing from a fellow passenger on the flight that there would be a flight on morning of July 17th, 2020. I contacted Caribbean Airlines on the week of July 13th, 2020 and I was informed by the representative on the phone that there was indeed a flight on the 17th but I need to be added to a list and where I will be contacted. On July 15th, 2020 I contacted Caribbean Airlines to get feedback on the flight. I was told my name was not on the list of passengers as only farm workers were eligible to be on the flight. I immediately requested a refund. I was told by the representative I will receive my refund in 90 working day. I booked a flight with another airline which departed on July 17th, 2020.
Numerous calls were made to Caribbean Airlines after the 90 working day period. To this day I have not received my requested refund.

Charged for a second bag with an upgraded ticket
My name is Krishma Fernander. I travelled on 1 January 2021 on an upgraded ticket and was charged 40 dollars for a second bag and 75 dollars for overweight. I have contacted the airline and was told that I should not have had to pay for a second bag. I am upset and would like to be refunded in cash for the second bag especially. Why did I pay overweight when I was instructed to use my third bag as a carry-on and was charged 75 dollars overweight for the second one. I am highly upset and would like a cash refund! CONFIRMATION CODE NL4D4X. I pray that I will not be given a hard time when I'm returning home. My telephone number [protected] or [protected].
Desired outcome: Cash Refund

Delay in processing a refund requested 6 months ago
I have put in a request for a refund on 11/19/2020 for not being able to travel for a booked return flight dated for 04/13/20 from montego Bay to nyc BOOKING REF: J5GKMQ. They advised me it would take 5 months to be processed due to covid. Here it is 6 months and I keep getting lied to that they can't tell me when my refund will finally get processed. I have no more patience left. I want my refund to go back to my credit card immediately. I called them last week and a rep named Silomy couldn't put her supervisor on the line, I asked for a supervisor to call me back, and Silomy herself called me back to let me know she spoke to the refund department and still can't say when my refund will be processed. I may proceed with legal action if this matter does not get resolved soon.
Desired outcome: Refund back to my credit card
I sent the email customer-relations@caribbean-airlines.com and this issue is still not resolved. I even heard from the manager Giselle who still says my refund is being expediting but can't say when it will be processed. This makes no sense. I've Been waiting almost 7 months for my refund. Please process it ASAP
I had a similar problem with Caribbean Air. They cancelled my flight and promised a full refund. Months went by, and after a few calls to the airline, I got tired of getting the run around. If your light originated in the US, file a complaint with the US Department of Transportation online. It will take a week or two, but they will contact the airline officially and cc: you on the correspondence. rom the date of filing, I got my refund in 8 weeks. You might think that's a long time, but look how long you have been waiting for the Airline to do the right thing.
Refund
When I booked my ticket, the agent said that I would be able to receive a full refund within 24 hours. Fast forward to 3 months later, I decided to, in fact, cancel my ticket. I was told that the refund could take a minimum of 3 months to be processed and by the way, the process to even actually get the refund requested was hell and back for me. From calling and constantly getting hung up on, to having to go into the actual location for the airline several times. As it came upon the 3 month timeline, I called in to ask if anything was happening with the refund only to be told very rudely that the refund will take more than 6 months. MORE THAN 6 MONTHS? What am I supposed to do with that? If I knew that the deadline to get a refund was so open ended, I would've booked with another airline all together. Point being, you should let your customers know what they are getting themselves into before entrapping them to sit here for what could be years on end for their money back.
Desired outcome: To get a refund ASAP

Refund for cancelled flights due to covid 19
Flight BW 601 which was purchased in January 2020 for my husband and I was cancelled in October 2020 as the TT borders were closed. On November 02, 2020, I spoke with the Service Rep Tiana who confirmed that a refund would be applied in the amount of $940.86 CAN . This was processed as I remained on hold. I was told the said refund would take up to 3 months. This was over 5 months ago.
Desired outcome: I would like my money refunded as agreed upon

Lawn mower battery is missing
Good Day,
My name is Conmelia Sezana Austin. I travel on Caribbean Airline on March 20 2021. With four pieces of luggage one of my suitcase inside there was a lawn mower charger and battery. When I reach home and was checking my suit cases the charger is there but the battery is missing. When I asked my sister to check again for me please she said its not there I feel so broken inside knowing that I can't use my lawn mower because the battery is missing. When my Quarantine finished I went to the Adolph Levy & Bro Limited to collect the lawn mower and to check if the battery is there but its not there even though I know that put it in my suitcase because I am the one who pack my suit case. Because it make it very heavy. I will love to know what happen to my lawn mower battery because this is unacceptable and really BAD. Now I can't use my lawn mower because the battery is missing. So many time call and report the matter to customer service, send email about the situation but still no help. They said sorry we were unable to deliver your message to the following address. Please and thank you for your Corporation and understanding.
Desired outcome: I love to get back back my lawn mower battery please and than. The picture below is the charger and they together in one suitcase and the battery is gone.

Repatriation flight booking jfk to pos
My son and I (Desell & Carol Austin) came into JFK via Caribbean Airlines (32NDFX) to attend my mother's funeral. To do so we were advised by the CAL Booking attendant, that we must book a return ticket online after all travel arrangements were approved and effected.
We were told that this would be some time in November 2021 since that is where the system generated next available dates would fall and that is just the procedure so do not be concerned. What would obtain is that at approval by the Ministry of National Security for the return flight into Trinidad, CAL should be contacted to have the one-way return ticket re-dated.
This was done as advised however the attendant Lynelle who was very professional and patient advised that a Penalty Fee of US$125 per person would be applied to the re-dated tickets.
You must be aware that Trinidad and Tobago's borders are closed and this is not a normal case of a delinquent passenger missing a flight but a passenger in grief fully executing an established protocol for travel from a country whose borders are closed during a pandemic.
Not only was the initial one-way return ticket cost per person (US$ 255.20) increased by an additional US$ 389 (152%) but a Penalty Fee of US$ 125 was added which brought the additional payment to US$ 514 per person which is 201% of the original payment of US$ 255.20. (Ref No - 3D69XP).
A strong case was proffered to the customer representative, Lynelle who had recourse to her manager however this amount was still enforced. As such, I wish to lodge my utmost disappointment and the fact that I felt unfairly treated and also that the measure to avoid the penalty fee should have been communicated at the onset to allow for avoidance of this onerous fee.
I am a loyal Trinidadian and very supportive of my country and as we say it a "trini-to-de-bone". I buy local in support of stimulating the local economy which is much needed at this time. As such, kindly mediate here to allow for a full refund of the unwarranted US$ 125 per person Penalty Fee for Desell and Carol Austin.
Thanking you for your intervention which I trust would be extended to all unsuspecting travellers as well.
Carol Austin
Desired outcome: Full refund of US $ 250

Services not rendered
I originally purchase 2 round trip tickets from JFK International Airport to MBJ Airport on 12/30/2019. Due to COVID this flight which was scheduled to leave JFK on 3/28/2020 (booking reference KBGAZ6) was cancelled. After learning of the cancellation I called Caribbean Airlines customer service and I was told I had 1 year from date of original purchase (until 12/30/2020) to re-book my flight to MBJ. On 9/24/2020 I called Caribbean Airlines customer service again because I only had about 3 months to re-book my flight to MBJ and at that time Caribbean Airlines was still not booking flights from JFK to MBJ so I requested a refund. I was told by the representative that I was not eligible for a monetary refund at that time but that I could instead be issued a voucher that would extend my eligibility for re-booking my flight from JFK to MBJ for another year (until 9/24/2021). As of today Caribbean Airlines is still not booking flights from JFK to MBJ. It has been over 1 year since booking my original flight and re-accommodation for my cancelled flight has not been provided in a reasonable time frame. Upon calling Caribbean Airlines customer service today I was again denied a refund even though it has not been possible to book a flight from JFK to MBJ since March of 2020 and they have had my money to purchase this flight since December of 2019 with no current knowledge of when they will be offering this flight in the future.
I want to add that I am a first responder and nurse and have also become pregnant since this all began. I think it is not only poor business practice but also completely insensitive and unethical to be withholding money from my growing family especially during this pandemic.
Desired outcome: Refund of my payment

On Sunday October 18, while on the escalator to board my flight 079 to Toronto Canada, I fell on the moving escalator wounding my right foot above the heels and below the leg.
I got first aid treatment from some of the crew members on the airline but no one was there to assist me when I fell as the escalator kept moving.
I had to seek medical care in Canada, and even though with several treatments from the doctors and health workers, I am still in pains and the wounds are not healed. I am at great disadvantage because I am diabetic.
A young crew member whose name I did not received took my name and address in Canada, but no one ever called.
I requested a name from another crew member but was only given the name"Phillip." The crew was sympathetic but did no follow up.
So without good medical care I can suffer amputation or infections which could cause death, I am asking the responsible persons between the Airline and Airport to act responsible and caring in this matter.
I should have returned on a confirmed flight 078 on November 18, but when I called Caribbean airline on Monday November 16, I was hearing for the first time that the flight is cancelled and the next flight will be December 16th which is not convenient for me as I have urgent matters and emergencies to deal with in Jamaica. This could also cause me to lose my job. I was given options to wait until December 16 or book with another airline and Caribbean airline would refund me.
This is a very irresponsible action by the airline, and I believe it is a breach of the airline policy and the law which governs airlines.
Please do not ignore my letter but I am expecting a favorable response urgently and expeditiously
Regards
Albert Mais Rev.
I am requesting refund of the fare I paid Westjet for my return because Caribbean airline closed down flights to Jamaica without informing me.
I sent emails to you but I received no response.

Service; caribbean airlines customer service to the male flight attendant on flight# bw1545_8/3/2021.
My 4yr old toddler was sleeping when we boarded the flight. So, unknowingly I fastened my seatbelt with her. A male flight attendant came when the plane already started moving and said, "she has to sit in the seat." so, I responded, "you could've said that before when you were conducting your checks." him: "that's not for me to do, she has to sit in the seat." me: "ok, but she's sleeping and she's only 4, is that a little inhumane. Am I to wake her up?" him: "yes". In addition, to his insensitive tone and consideration for a single mother with a toddler, he also stood up in front my seat, until I fastened by daughter in her seat and then myself, despite the fact that I was already complying when he first said it. In my opinion, he lacked customer service, consideration and a some decent courtesy. I understand, it is for safety but there is a way to speak and approach people. I have one child and the times before this, she sat on my lap or was up, so I was completely unaware. He conducted 3 spot checks and showed how to put on and wear a "mask" and not once came to me but only did so whilst the plane was preparing for take over. The lack of customer service was very evident. Some training needs to considered.
