Cartrack Warranty Claims

On the 17th of November 2021 my brand new car was stolen from a parking in Durban... I was informed 30minutes later of the theft through CARTRACK asking if I'm tampering with my tracking unit I immediately scream no I'm not my car is being stolen. They sent a ground unit to search for my vehicle to which they found the unit in Umlazi. .. I did the necessary and followed through with every single detail needed ...I then spike to CARTRACK that stated it was highly unlikely that my vehicle would be found to which I looked at my terms and conditions and realised I had the warranty and I called to find out more about it ...they stated I need to fill in the application and send through a ton of documents and wait 90days for them to review my application...

On the 4th of February 2022 I received an email from Chantal Dipenaar which stated that because I was paying a discounted rate for my tracker my application was rejected ...1. I was never told that my rate was discounted!

2. The terms and conditions state nothing about discounted rates with regards to the warranty.

3. I met every criteria under the warranty terms and conditions.

PLEASE HELP!

Because I'm tired or explaining myself what happened with my account. I was working for a company so I organized them cartrack for all their vehicles. The company got rid of me okay so the company took their time changing ownership including paying the amount due. That arrears is not my arrears it's the companies problem to pay. I won't get threaten to have my name bad because of that company that won't pay their outstanding amount

Cartrack Car watch not working driving with it on and no call from your control room

New units are in fitted to my vehicle and the problem is still not resolved i active the car watch on my phone app you can open any door start the vehicle and drive off, some days you can drive the hole day with this active no one call to confirm that you vehicle is moving please assist in this matter and on cancelation of my previous system it was not done and was paying for 4 units cancelation was done and still waiting for my refund .

Cartrack Fraud

Cartrack debit my account this morning with R2000 for no reason. I pay 228 every for tracking device and have never missed a payment. Please refund my money together with interest for bank charges as my other debit orders bounced because of your incompetence.
I did not receive any communication whatsoever and the reference used is not the same as the monthly payment reference.

Cartrack DUPL01555

I did cancel my contract due to Financial distress. When the vehicle was brought they inform me that is was a pay as you go. when I have cancel it they said it was a 36 months I need pay R2650.00

I have receive the cancellation letter

They call me on daily basis to demand outstanding amount

they have hand me over tot attorney.

No one can provide me with signed binding contract.

Cartrack have deducted R2000.00 from my account without my permission

I need some assist in this matter very urgently

otherwise we need to go to a attorney

I can't take 20 calls a they explaining myself

provide me with the contract and then I can make arrangements for payment.

hope you can assist me in the matter

Cartrack Cancellation of my tracking device

I have cancelled my tracking unit almost 2 months ago and an e mail was sent by the assistan accounts manager to credit my invoice as I do not owe them a cent and they captured it on the late date not me, now I get called numerous of times everyday and on a Sunday at 7 in the morning to say I owe them money and I dont, I mean come at 7 on a Sunday morning ? Who does that to a client on a SUNDAY and wrongfully for that matter?

I have sent them a screenshot of the copy of the mail to prove a credit was supposed to be done by them but yet they are still harrasing me on a daily basis.

They are also messing with my credit rating and I HAVE HAD ENOUGH NOW.

I think I am going to have to put an article in the newspaper and post this all on social media platforms maybe then they will stop!

Desired outcome: To stop trying to take the debit order and send me proof that they did what the manager requested and to credit and a formal apology

Cartrack Poor service

Goodday Sir/Madam

I have been recently been hijacked and we have reported the issue but one of the agents ask to speak to the owner of the car and no help was provided instead you contact center agent ask to speak to the owner of the Car, The person who was calling she has the authority to do so. we receiver a call after two days saying that you sent the recovery unit to trace the car which you never did, no communication was receiver after the incident.
lucky enough I manager to trace the car using the police and the car was found

On 11 /10/2021 I have discovered that the car track is not working, so I decide to give you guys a call and report the issue but again you agent promise to give me a call, I have called to make the follow-up and getting the same messenger that you will give me a call, the car is driving without a track and I am waiting for you guy to give a call.

I have also logged a ticket for call recording, I have only received the above ticket number I have been mailing you guys for feedback but nothing.

Your service is very poor and I need those calls recordings because I can't go on paying for service that is not working or it either you come to take off your unit in my car so that I can look for a better company that does the job

Cartrack Service and harrasment

My husband and i went under secustration adn our court order was granted in May 2021. We sent thru the court order to Cartrack more that once and our laywer enven spoke and emailed cartrack, but still we are being hassased by cartrack. THEY ARE NOT DOING THERE JOB IN UPDATING THERE SISTEMS. We are receivings calls from them at 23h00 at night.
And everytime we have to tell them over and over again to update there systems and we hace to sent thru the court order again, this is unacceptable .
it has to stop. and if it does not stop im going to open a crimminal case of harrasment against cartrack

I am Sboniso Mthembu and a new client to your company. I got two units fitted to my two vehicles (Ford Ranger and Merc c-class) last week. Unfortunately immediately after the c-class installation the vehicle starting losing power on the main car battery and Mercedes support has come out three times to charge the battery and even took it into the workshop. After many attempts the battery can charge but looses power over night. They have now come to a conclusion that the tracker system battery might be faulty or the entire tracker unit which is compromising the car's main power systems. I therefore kindly request your support technicians to look at the unit. The car is at the Mercedes dealership in Pietermaritzburg, Garden City Motors and you can contact Candice who is the service adviser. The registration number of the vehicle is HS36JMGP.

I would really appreciate your support today bearing in mind that I have not been able to use the vehicle for over a week now after the installation of the tracker unit.

No one has given me feedback therefore I hereby would like to cancel all my vehicle units contract with car track with immediate effect and furthermore requests a refund for the unit installed in the Mercedes as it has never been operational. Charging me for services not rendered would amount to theft. I cannot take the service of your organisation and the [censored] in installing faulty units that break our cars so please cancel. I have kindly requested new contracts from Tracker SA who know what they are doing.

Cartrack Poor service and scammed false advertising

On 01 sep 2021 at about 11.35 my daughter received a call from cartrack control room informing her polo vivo
Reg sis meek zn vehicle was in motion.. From the cornubia mall parkimg. She ran to the parking no car. She called me her dads started crying... So cartrack called me at 11.55 they informed me that the tracking unit was compromised the ground team found the unit...In kwa mashu in some bush. But no vehicle.. The airteam is still looking for the vehicle.
I received a e mail from chalan diepnaar saying my unit was not a search and recovery unit so they cannot find the vehicle... Or get compensated because it wasnt serviced.
What [censored] story was that.
1. Cartrack called us..
2. Cartrack sent the ground team n airteam to recover.
3. The unit was found on the ground still working wothout the car.. Wat was faulty.
4. She stated unit wasnt tested...16 aug 2021 unit tested at 09.37.

I requested my full telephonic contract I had on the phone... To. Prove to cartrack are scaming people with that r150k recovery if not found.. What way to get easy money..
In my case if its not resolved I would be taking up with soical media.
Please dont waste your time sending the mail to the ceo coz he is just enjoying the perks from us... He didnt reply to. My mail.
Lets hear what reply anyone of you scammer give me.
Cartrack should track themselves... Look for what you guys goimg to loose.

Desired outcome: cartrack must pay me for not recovery it was my daughtersjoy and pride ber first brand new car.

Cartrack Service

I had a cartrack device installed, in January 2021 I started noticing a problem and realized that what was advertised is in fact not the service I received, there was also a problem with the actual device. I advised cartrack and waited 3 months for someone to contact me who could actually assist, all the while they were debiting my account. I advised that it was false advertising and that I want to cancel. Since then no one at the cartrack call center have been able to assist me they keep debitung my account even though I have canceled in March already. The service is pathetic and no one seems to be able to assist with anything,

Cartrack Fee for removing tracker

My Mom has the paperwork that was signed on the day tracker was installed into her car. And no where does it say upon cancellation/removing car track she would need to pay R 2000.00.

She's a pensioner and can't afford to have the car anymore so that means she can't afford the tracker. that's why she needs it removed and canceled.

So can someone please help me sort this out and tell me why she has to pay R2000.00 to have it removed?

Cartrack Car track services

I had car track installed in my vehicle which now has been sold. Before receiving the new car I was informed that tracker must be installed which has been done. I am now unable to cancel the car track on my old car which has now been sold to someone else whom is benefiting from a service which I must pay for. I tried contacting the dealer to assist in enquiring if the new owner can take over the installments and have been advised that they cannot. It is absolute [censored] to have to pay for something which I am not even using due to being stuck with a contract surely there should be some leeway should the vehicle be sold.

I canceled my account with Cartrack because I had an accident an my car was written of.! I settled the account that was outstanding for the remainder of the contract. I received a letter from Cartrack the said the contact was canceled and everything was settled, now more than a year later I started receiving emails and messages from a debt collection company, saying that I've been handed over by Cartrack because I owe them money! And I've been black listed too! Needless to say I couldn't get any help by trying to phone and sort this out myself by Cartrack! I will definitely not ever in my life recommend Cartrack to anyone, ever!

Desired outcome: I would like my name of the black list and a confirmation letter from Cartrack stating I don’t owe them money.! Anf obviously for this debt collecting complete to stop harassing me!!

Cartrack Technical services

Reporting/ Bad service
Cartrack technician was installing a tracking device one of my busses, he was alone working on it for more than an hour idling the vehicle and he Rev the engine till it blew up, I done have any report from management, they blocked my call and not replying my emails. Please intervene I just need a full written report from them.
So I can see what route to take.

Cartrack technician blew my bus engine.
A tracking device was to be fitted on the bus a technician arrive at our depot in the after to do 2 Fitment on our buses he did fit one on 1st buses the second bus arrive b4 he finish the 1st one and our depot was about to close, we ask him to come back next day to do the second bus . But he said he will do the bus he does not need us, we should show him how to start and switch off and we gladly did, he was left alone with security guard at the gate, I was called by Cartrack call centre reporting excessive idling 30 minutes after we all left I told them that Cartrack technician is working on the bus they call me the second time after 15 minutes plus minus told them the same but I also called my security to check he said the chap is still working on the bus, next call I get was from the technician saying my engine exploded,
My problem is we left the bus with the technician as running bus, when he left my engine had blown up. Cartrack manage does not want to take any responsibility, they send in their investigation team, I did not get a written report when I ask for one the responsible guy Anton block my calls he is not replying my emails, Cartrack have left me him and dry. He said verbally to me they not responsible, who is responsible? No reply 3 weeks now after the incident, they have business of 10 of our vehicles but they don't care about me

Cartrack Complaint

Good day

Before I sold my old car I asked Car track to come and remove the tracking unit so it can go to my new vehicle. They never came to do so which then was said I have to cancel the tracker. Car track wants to force me now to pay the remainder of the 3 year contract with as the contract was canceled. This would've never happened if they installed my old unit in my new car and I could carry on with the contract. I said to Car track that it is wrong to expect me to pay for something I don't have due to their negligence. They even debit my account twice with the entire amount without my consent where I then reversed the debit orders. How rude and unfair is this to do so with a consumer that struggles financially in the current economic situation.
Car track now send me a letter to blacklist me for the outstanding amount on the 3 year contract.

Cartrack Warranty cover

My car is stolen and car track is unable to recover my vehicle, I was told when I joined that if they don't recover my vehicle I will get R150k I tried claiming for it and I was told that the warrant cover laps after 3 years no one told that even the sales consultant did not tell me that. I am taking this matter further. This is miss leading people I even asked the consultant who was helping me she confirmed that I qualify for the warranty but when I try to claim they decline what kind of service is that

Cartrack Account

In 2018 I replaced my vehicle. I tried to transfer my Cartrack subscription to my new vehicle but was not able to. I then tried to cancel the subscription of the old vehicle and took out a new subscription on the current vehicle. Cartrack charged an exorbitant cancellation fee which I queried without success. My opinion was that they did not loose business and should transfer my subscription which they refused. It took me another 2 years for them to eventually cancel the subscription which cost me around R9 000 for no service rendered. I recently bought a new vehicle and was charged R245 for transfer of ownership. I refuse to pay this until my old query is resolved and the R245 written off against the R9k. Various mails to their creditors department and CEO escalations mailbox "Kavitha Lalla | Cartrack ". was merely met with we owe you nothing, you are in the wrong and pay your R245. I find this exceptional bad customer service. They where quite happy to take my money for no service and are now unwilling to write of R245 against the R9k they owe me to settle this.

Desired outcome: Write off the R245 you say I owe you for transfer of ownership. That is good customer service.

Cartrack Cancellation fee

I have used cartrack because I needed a tracker for insurance purposes, however, my car was in an accident and I decided to sell it as the damage was too hectic. Thus, I now needed to cancel with them as I am no longer the owner of the car. NOw they tell me I need to pay a fee upon cancellation, something that was not disclosed when I started my journey with them. How can I be paying for a service I do not need? Also, I do not have another car so I cannot transfer the tracker... The car is also already sold so I am so confused. When I called them they told me that I must pay a cancellation fee which amounts to what my premiums would be, they haven't even given me an option to pay less. How can they do this? How can I pay for something I no longer use? If I as paying for the device I would still understand. I just feel they are a rip off! They do not even consider my circumstances, especially during the pandemic.

Cartrack is the worst company ever. I signed a contract with them and I now sold the Car to their company, CarZuka but they want me to pay cancellation fee of tracker R2650 plus a premium of R189. It's unbelievable. So they have the device and they want me to pay for it too.

Cartrack Rip off and undelivered service

My name is Kgosi who regret ever signing a contract with this company.
I am receiving calls every month advising and every month I advice consultant to load a debit order and they promise to have loaded it, but someone in their company cancels it and it become my monthly problem. To make matters even worse in the mists of all this, they installed a unit and it melted to a visible place where everyone could see it, I advice them of this and they took long to respond, then they came to ifx it, but it was not working, it is still not working even today, they promise to send a consultant, even now and it has been 2 months, they are going to call again, I'm going to ask them to load a debit order, they will take me to the accounts department who will confirm that it is loaded, but come next month you will see, i have a statement to show that I have never reversed their debit order.

Desired outcome: How do i sign out of their contract.
