Electrical Faults after Installation
on the 12 June 2021 the Technicialn came to install tracker in my car and the very same day later when i used my car i realised electrical faults, my cluster light goes on and off, radio light is off even when the radio plays but is not showing anything, the interior light also goes on and off even when doors are closed, i called car track on Monday the 14th June 2021 and complained, but still nothing was done, no even getting back to me for an update, on Tuesday 15 June 2021 i received a call from Car Tracker accounts Department telling me that they have not received any pro-rata payment and i asked them to attend to the Rubbish their Technician did on my car because i do not know if my car will burn or what, they said the matter will be escalated to the Repairs department and they will contact me soon, till today no one has called me the only thing Car Track is after is money, they do not take customer complains serious, especially the one that put my life at risk, imagine my car burning because of the faulty Fusebox, HOW CAN I TRUST CAR TRACK GOING FORWARD?Kindly note that should there be any electrical Damages on my car i will held you responsible.

I reported a problem with our unit in vehicle BS54RDGP this morning at 07h48 (6min 41 sec). We had a battery tampering on Tuesday 15 Jun 2021 at about 13h00 with no call back. The request was to phone back when the operator is on the line so that he can check the battery tampering. Spoke to cartrack again at 10h55 (9min 41 sec) to check what was requested of me. I was told that my query will be transferred to the technical department that will make contact. No contact and I had to phone again at 03:22pm. I was put on hold for 6 min 5 seconds after which I dropped the call. Your call centre service is pathetic to say the least. The operators are unfriendly and does not really want to assist. Removal of tracking devices, due to early cancelation
To whom it may concern,
I will continue to make payment when I can, as I'm currently unemployed as discussed earlier last month with your accounts department.
For safety and security reasons, I would prefer your tracking devise to be removed from my bakkie. The tracking devise in the bakkie can be removed anytime from the 10th of May 20201 - 14th of May 2021.

I have a Problem with the system of Car Track and the bad Attitude given by your consultants. They are not well trained. I am not happy because i installed a car track last year on the 22/07/2020 and i got an accident on the 06/08/2020 and my car was written off . I phoned and spoke to a guy called David. I explained what happened with the car and i want to cancel. He told me that i mist wait until i get a new car i wont be charged. I bought a car and then bow I'm ready to install a new one . A very rude lady from account speaking Sesotho told me that i should have canceled last year now im owing lots of money and i am asking myself why my case was not attended .i need answers to this hence i wont pay for a car track that never worked for me and by right the car doesn't exist. Good afternoon my name is bony George kappalumakkal I'd number [protected].early this month I made a 36 month contract with cartrack, till today no one came to install tracking system in my car, I phoned them many times, no one giving a proper feedback, finally they gave appointment date(28/04/2021) but no one came.i dont know what is happening, what type service is this.
Complaint about unauthorised debit order for cars belonging to third-party
On the 12 of April, I got a call from Cartrack where they had my brother on the line and trying to sell a product to him. The lady explained that my brother didn't qualify for debit order and wanted me to assist him by giving him a bank account number that I did not use for him to deposit the debits. I gave an Absa account, but they traced my details using my ID number and put the 2 vehicles(YKX482GP Toyota Quantum white 2012, WMX292GP Inyathi white 2012 ) as mine and starting sending me notifications. I queried this and asked them to correct this mistakes as the vehicles belongs to my brother. I was given a change of ownership form and I sent it back. A day after they added another vehicle(NSP561GP Toyota Siyaya Maroon ) . When I queried they told me to speak to my brother as cartrack is not the mediator between me and my brother. This morning they just deducted R900 from my FNB account. I was told to pay R7950 for this to be cancelled.
Desired outcome: I want all my money to be refunded and these vehicles to be transfered to the rightful owner and all communication be directed to the correct person. Can the consultant be coached not to be rude when calling us.
Amount of phone calls and unprofessionalism
I am tired of the daily fone calls that i receive from car track and have to explain every time the same story, they are so incompetent that they don't note what the customer said in their system that every agent calls you with one problem everyday. I am sick and tired of their level of unprofessionalism.
I have requested to cancel my contract since last December but to my surprise i am still billed till this day and my tracker stopped working last year June so i have been paying for nothing and yet they don't want to cancel my contract. Its irritating

Ive been trying for months to get a fair cancelation fee from cartrack to cancel this contract. 1/2 cars ive sold years ago, the other one traded in. I cannot use their service. They want to charge me full contract value to cancel this service i simply cannot use.
No matter how u ask they are addiment you will do it their way. They are using bullying tactics and just do n9t want to listen. A repair enquiry was logged and I was told a technician will contact me. It's Friday today no one has called me, I wasted R50 airtime for the past two trying to follow up. Your agents are not helping and can't even connect me to the right department. When I eventually get to repairs my call is taken but agents are having a conversation. I am not sure Quality Assurance is conducted at your company and am driving a high risk car to give up. I have been with your company for over 2years and its my first complaint. I will move to Matrix

Failing to recover my car
I was involed in a car accident on 11th of march, magic towing company took my to their pkace without my consent I reported the issue to cartrack control room. Mbali refused to help me saying I have agreement with magictowing and she wont give me the documents that she said they produced. Kabelo from recovery sent me the wrong coordinates of where the car is has to ask around myself, called their manager preggie who promised to dispatch a team after I opened a case with the police cas 319/3/2021 but innocetia came back to me saying they cannot assist me cause I opened a fraud case. Yesterday I got an alert that the power is being removed spoke to lesego who advise that I must go open a case my question is for you to recover a car do you need case number that to respond to the calk?

Car track only takes your money,
I have a panic button in my car, i pressed it several times last Thursday, up until now not phone call back.
When calling car track to cancel my contract, they say i need to pay them. They even want to charge me to come out and see what is wrong, so basically i am paying them for no service at all.

Faulty device
Tracker and panic button was installed in my vehicle on 19 February 2021, I installed the app but it couldn't locate my car I also tested panic button but didn't receive the call, I contacted cartrack and informed about matter, they admitted that faulty device was installed the technician will contact me for reinstallation but till today no arrangements has been made
Debit order was done just after installation and again at end of February, I reversed the debit order since I receive no service I believe I don't need to pay, again at end of much debit order went through and I reversed again
I contacted cartrack to try and cancel and requested to speak to a senior person since I believe that I'm not obliged to pay the cancellation fee but I hold the line for almost 10mins until I dropped the phone
Can I please get assistant because this matter is affecting my credit record and also emotionally since I receive calls for not paying this account daily

Poor service
Their service is really poor. On the 19th March 2021 I went in to a dealership to trade in my car and prior to me going there I gave cartrack a call to find out what's the procedure. I was told that they will charge me a fee for that service however I need to give them a call once I get to the dealership to give them details on where to go to unistall their tracking device. I gave them all the details along with the person they needed to contact in order to unistall it since I had left it at the dealership. To my surprise when I called on the 20th to find out the progress I was told it was never scheduled with their technicians to which I requested for a technician to be assigned to the matter. I am on the 24th today with a reinstalling bill for a service which was never rendered to me. I had to stay on my like for more 20 minutes with no assistance. I am told that I need to call them all the time. So basically the customer doesn't have customer care. The only time they call you is when they want their money but never deliver good customer service. I wouldn't recommend Cartrack to any of my friends, family and colleagues.
Appeal against a cartrack decision not to pay recovery warranty
Very long story, I have enough proof of correspondence with Cartrack and the office that installed. Tracking device did not work, after many correspondence Cartrack technician moved the device at my house, 2 to 4 weeks later the vehicle is stolen and not recovered, after 60 working days Cartrack inform me the Recovery Warantee will not be paid R150 000. I have a small vehicle full of contact with Catrack specifically where I inform them that the device is not working. Cartrack you are not playing fair. The day after loss and no recovery a Cartrack delegate from the office where I installed the device cancelled my account, for 3 weeks my phone rang of the charts, really not fair to have faced that abuse and to think your system cannot pick up the first contact and allow 300 people each on a new shift at the call center to abuse this client at leasure about an account that do not exist any more. You will pay my recovery warrantee, the onbudsman will tell you to do so your business is not - un regulated

I'm filling complaint about poor service and thread which has been made towards me
I got involved in a car accident on 29 April 2020. Consequently, my vehicle was unfortunately written off. I contacted CarTrack to arrange to cancel the contract as my car was written off. They informed me that it would cost me R2800 to cancel the contract or around R860 to remove the tracker from that vehicle to the new one that I would purchase. I opted for the cheaper option which was to remove the tracker from my old vehicle. They said they logged that on their system and someone would get back to me to make all necessary arrangements for deinstallation and reinstallation. A week elapsed and no one had gotten back to me. I then called again and they apologised for not getting back to me. They said if I then start a new contract for my new vehicle it would cost me neither the R2800 or R860 of which I was delighted. The consultant I spoke to assured me that they gonna send technician to reinstall the device, I gave them all details of where the car, I have even told them that the car will be taken to salvage within 3 days, so suddenly when I make follow up they told me lots of stories that there are still making arrangements until one day I call then they told me that they didn't manage to take the device nd the appointment was made with the panel beater, nd that was not my fault, they debited R860 while nothing has been done for reinstallation and still debit monthly fee of R143 every month, they made all the promises of which they never fulfill up until now so I stopped the debit orders coz I can't pay for service which is not delivered and i'm getting calls everyday regarding payment for what? I won't pay any amount and now im getting the threat of blacklisting me, coz now the calls im getting everytime is about the outstanding amount while they failed to deliver the service nd agreement we made, I had risked my car since may 2020 till now without tracker. I have been getting in touch with them everyday nothing happened still to arrange fitting of a tracking device. I am really not impressed with your service at all.

I am getting harassed by you every day I am getting calls to say I owe you. Not once have I ignore your calls but in all the calls I must explain my self giving one story. This is abuse, I have attached my bank statement on the email showing that I am paying . I am getting SMS that you taking me to lawyers but I am making payment. I refuse to be abused by you. I had the same experience, a Cartrack delegate stopped my account the day after my vehicle was stolen and not recovered, Cartrack call center delegates phoned me without stopping for 3 weeks and I was also threathened. Cartrack is not the best they did not recover my vehicle and now refuse to pay out the contracted recovery guarantee, it is like making promises on the first day and Cartrack is now walking away from their promises
Poor services and incompetency
My name is Busi, last year I traded in my car and bought a new car . I called Car Tracker Cape Town to de-active my old tracker and to install a tracker in my new car and this was last year October 2020 . During this time debit order for the old tracker were still being deducted, I have done a number of follow up and still have all emails and up until today nothing has been done. I decided to stop debit order this month as I was paying for services which I do not use, I receive few calls from Car tracker collections inquiring about the debit order and when I explained my story they all compromised to come back to me and I AM STILL WAITING AND MY NEW CAR IS STILL WITHOUT TRACKER .

Device not working since 2019 yet I'm expected to pay for a service that they not rendering to me. Cartrack is threatening to blacklist me for stopping payment because they taking my money but their device is not working, the legal team promised to investigate they then confirmedthedevice is not working, their CEO office promised to investigate and they came back they confirmed and apologized for the faulty device and they promised to further investigate but I'm still getting 20 calls every day from their accounts department harassing me. Im getting SMS 's I have 8 days to be blacklisted for a device that hasn't been working for almost 2 years

Unit draining battery
I called cartrack on Thursday notifying them that the tracker is draining my battery as a result I have to jump start my car at all time before being able to use it. I keep calling them and I am being transferred from one consultant to the other with no help. its been 6 days and seems to them this is not an emergency and how not having a car is affecting my livelihood. They claim to care about my car however they have the most strangest ways to show that.
