Vehicle not starting after unit installation
Hi I am Samuel Zininga with passport number DN567665. My vehicle 2015 Toyota Quantum Reg JT78DVGP White color. The tracker unit was installed on Friday 08 January 2020 at my residence 596 Visvanger street Daleside Meyerton. Pre check list was done by the technician and the vehicle was starting in my presence, instalment was done in my absence with I had gone to work. When I tried to start my vehicle upon my return it was not starting.
I called on monday morning and I was promised that the technical manager would call me back and send a senior technician to assist which did not happen yesterday. I called again today and im still waiting for the call. The vehicle is now costing me money as it is still standing since Friday.
Vehicle hijacked
I joined car tracker last year and everything was ok until i couldn't afford to pay my fees, when i called to canceled they told me its impossible since there's a tracking device on my car therefore ill have to find a way to pay but it cant be cancelled
I agreed to arrears and continue with the tracker but to my surprise.
I was hijacked and my car was stolen all of the sudden I can't get help to recover my hijacked vehicle since my account is behind with payments by R500.00.
Iam told to pay a recovery fee of R25 000.00 plus the arrears off which its not refundable.
I feel it's a scam since they didn't wanna cancel and continued but in need they cant help me

Cartrack camera systems
Cartrack is a FRAUD. They offer camera service that they don't have or doesn't work. They keep deducting R573pm for service not rendered since August 2020😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

I'm having the same problem. Last week pushed the button cause I felt something was not right only to realize that is not working. Their customer service is very poor. I have been transferred from pillar to post. No one is getting back to me to resolve this. Their phone are not working they keep getting cut off. But when you request to be called for a qoute you get a response immediately. Fraudulent and incompetent indeed.
Bad service / ignoring emails from clients
Please note that this is unacceptable, as I have send through emails to Cartrack to cancel an agreement because my car is not moving all.
There has not being any response and now I have been handed over to a legal team.
I will not accept this and If this is not resolved then I will take it to the ombudsman as unfair practices.
I need a response today and can this email be acknowledged and not be ignored.

An insult
I talked to a lady who was handling my appointment based in the joburg headquarters on the 12th of November 2020 around 12:40 regarding wby the technician didn't pitch. She told me that she had set up an appointment for 8 am and that the technician had shifted it to 3pm. When I asked why I had no knowledge of it she then said she would put me through to the polokwane offices and proceeded to tell her colleague, "this lady is complaining about [censored]!"
Product and service and operators and wasted time
I am so upset. My unit doesn't work, no one cares.
Only operators answer the phone (sometimes).
they never actually book a repair.
I been reporting this faulty unit on one of our trucks for over a week. The unit stop responding on 8/11/2020 at 22:15 SA time. Eventually on the 13/11/2020 they told me they would get someone to contact me to book a repair. It's the 17th today, and nothing been booked.
So what I have found is that an email was sent, but their emails are slower than the postal service as it only reached them on the 16th. According to the Pinetown operator no one called me as the email was not sent to anybody. She said it was just sent. I said it needed to be sent to someone and I need to speak to that person. She promptly transferred me to another operator. After going through the wait I explained myself again and went through the lengthy security check again, and soon realised that the Pintown operator was sneaky and transferred me to Johannesburg. I was horrid and demanded to speak to a manager, and several calls and several transfers lead to un answer or cut calls, and no managers. I have tried to call the Pinetown branch again, and cant get past the stubborn operator
There service was never like this before. What has happened to them?
Are they under new management.
If you are asked to be put through to a manager, they refuse, or put you through a call which is unanswered and eventually cut or transfered back.
I leave messages for a manager to call back, but thats like expecting a chicken to grow teeth. They never do.
Even the operators take time to answer.
My main question is:
Is this the emergency protocol of there response time, as its the same number I must call.
Now I envisaged an emergency, maybe a common hijack.
First before you get to an operator, or a self help menu, you have to listen to a lengthy self advertisement of how great they are, and how efficient they are, and wonderful they are and quick to respond they are, and need I go on. Then you got to listen to the self help menu, then you need to select an option. Then as you go to the next department, you have to first listen to the self advertisement of how great they are, and how efficient they are, and wonderful they are and quick to respond they are, and need I go on.
You then need to do the security check which is also lengthy, and then explain yourself, and when you think your there, they will transfer you to another department. You go through all the advertising, menus and security checks and transfers several more times.
No. I am just frustrating my self unnecessary. Cartrack is supposed to give me peace of mind. Are we safer. Can I count on them in a time of emergency. Can they rise up to the occasion.
The answer is no, as they need to fix the unit first before they can rise to the occasion.
I have been trying to deal with their fleet management dep, the Pinetown branch and also the client services department as well as the repair department. They pass my calls to each other each not being accountable.
I guess That I am not important to them, but I would still have to honour my contract and pay my bill, so they can get their salaries.

I had tried to get company to reinstall devices without any assistance. Contract expired I sent an email to cancel up to date, they don't want to cancel contract
Bad telephone manners and technician make appointment and never showed up
When ever I phone car track the phone just keeps on ringing and if they answer they don't help me at all.
Then there was a appointment made to re-install car track in my car after it was stolen and the technician never came and no one has called me as yet.
The day my car was stolen they took to long to answer and had to many questions to ask before I could be helped. They are also not very friendly.

Worst and life threatening service
I bought a new car 6 weeks ago and immediately requested car track to remove the old unit to install it in my new car. They were unable to locate it and an agreement and payment of R1600 was made to install the new units. For the last 6 weeks I have been calling begging asking for the installation but the other end does not know what the other is doing. I have spent over R1000 calling. For a new fitment. The new insurance is putting me under pressure for a certificate. I have to drive from work at night alone after work afraid for loosing my car. Im afraid to drive anywhere as I live in a high crime area. I want to cancel my contract mmediately with no penalties as I have tried all I can to stay with the company. I can no longer risk my car and my safety. I'm a bread winner to 10 people and should I get hijacked my family would like to be able to find me. You have put me at risk.

Fleet trackers to be repaired, though they don't give a damn
So far I had 2 trucks where the trackers stopped working.
Since the 21/09/20 I struggled to get an appointment, Finally got an appointment for the 13/10/20, I kept the trucks in the yard, Technician never showed up and cartrack was unreachable. Finally the next day I got hold of them many excuses later I got another appointment, This one was for the 18th of October which was a Sunday since I told them there is no way I can let the trucks stand a working day again. I drove to the sight of the trucks as per the time we scheduled, I sat here waiting and waiting. Called cartrack to find out where the technician is, sadly it was only the emergency control room and yet again the appointment was dishonored, I called them again to today on the 19th of October, Not 1 single person apologized for their incompetence. I can't believe a company with this non existent level of service still exists in this day and age. I made on final appointment for the 24th of October, If this appointment isn't honored I will have no choice but to move the whole fleet to another hopefully more competent company.
Service is a disgrace
I've bought a car @ August paid R870.00 for the device re installation from my previous to my new car. monthly car track is debiting my account but my car is not tracked as yet. I've tried to make a booking for the reinstallation they keep on promising that they'll call me but they don't. Can somebody please help me here... Since well my car is not tracked but I'm paying my premium every month, should my car be stolen what will happen.

They deduct way more than i agreed to and not on the dates i agreed upon. They deduct atleast 3 times a month without my consent. I will not recommend this company to anyone. Worst service EVER.
Harassment from cartrack
The company is harassing me due to overdue account that resulted from a faulty device. Why the company expects payment when I don't have a functional unit in my car baffles me. I tried to replace the unit and the company failed to show up. I have indicated my desire to cancel my contract and everyday I speak to a consultant who promises that it's done only for them to start harassing me. This company has the worst service and puts profit before customer satisfaction. The different departments don't communicate because from the different phone calls it's clear that the left hand doesn't know what the right is doing and they expect us to trust them with our properties.
Installation that was done
We had two cars where we have inserted car track as from day one we had issues with both of our case. the techniction firstly damage my one car battery while installing the unit how unprofessional we had to get a manager out to come and check as the car did not want to start. after a few weeks (not even a month) we told them to come and take out these units as we have to jump starts our cars ever 3rd day, then they cam out with excuses that our batteries was finished. Wihch it was not. Eventuallu after a huge fight they came to take out the units now they want us to pay for it which I will not as we had problems since it was put in and you can phone them their client service is pathetic. now we had to replace both our cars batteries due to the car track unit that was draining the batteries and we had to keep on restarting the batteries. I want car track to give me back my money of the two batteries that we had to buy we do have the invoices and my one month debit order as their unit did not do anything for me it only damaged our car batteries. On the form it was written that unit is draining batteries at the Boksburg branch where the manager said we must right it down.

I recieved a call from the accounts department although I have explained almost everyday when they call that I am unemployed and lost my job due to covid. I have said over and over that I unfortunately cannot pay right now and I am trying to make a plan to organize money. All the operators were friendly but not this last call. Please go back to the call and listen. I asked him not to keep on interuppting me when I was trying to also speak and he said "I am the one who called you and cut me off. That was very unprofessional and distasteful. I am not happy.
repairs on tracker
i pay every month car track but my car is not covered i foned them they said the going to send a technician but no one came i email one of there workers but no reply i wasted airtime to get a hold of them im very furious can some do something im reversing my money

I mr ssw mate lay a complain to cartrack about there installation but no one is planning to help me if I m phoning the sales personnel they keep on telling me that they ll send an email to relevant people but no response after that. I m not happy about the service of cartrack at this moment. My car is not covered because at night I hv to take of the battery

I joined cartrack in July when I spoke to the Sales Person I told him that they must deduct only from end of August 2020 and he agreed. I told him that they can do the installation only in August after I paid and he said no he can do the installation immediately because it was a transfer. I had to pay R350 and R99 the end of July and R859 the end of August.
First the installor was late and was suppose to be here at 08h00 but only arrived to do installation at 13h00. Second after making the necessary arrangements 10 people phoned me to tell me that I am late with the R859 payments from July and I explained to all of them that my payment will only be due the end of August. Your calls are recorded and I asked them to check recording. They had the audacity to deduct my account on 18 August and now I have a returned debit order on my account.
After information almost 10 people about my arrangement they still deducted on the wrong date without my consent. I just received a call again today after calling Accounts 5 times.
