Coke Zero and Cherry Coke Zero
For the past year, I have been buying plastic bottles of coke zero and cherry coke zero and thought I was Imagining the horrific mildew stench when I opened the bottle. I'm not sure if the liquid inside is rancid or if the bottles are mildewed prior to the liquid going in. I googled the problem and see that coke has had literally hundreds of similar complaints. My suspicion is that in the bottling plant based in the bay area, San Leandro, where our current humidity has been averaging 90-99 plus percent, the plastic bottles may have accrued mold or mildew prior to the drink going in. Or perhaps the stuff is rancid due to heat?
I hope that my stomach acid is strong enough to kill the mold, but, I have asthma and I intend to reach out to Channel 5 on your side to complain. Coke needs to take this seriously as Target and Safeway both have been selling this offensive mildew-scented cola.
This is not what I expect from a company with such hefty profits. There need to be more rigorous safety checks implemented by the FDA. Or face a class action lawsuit. Consider this your notice Coca-Cola.
Desired outcome: Coke makes a Public declaration on TV and recalls the offending soda flavors and batches. They tighten up cleanliness and safety standards at the bottling plants
Recent changes to delivery quantity
Recently I have recieved a letter in regards to your shortage of drivers and workers in Australia. In said letter you specify that due to these shortages Coke will no longer get their drivers in queensland to accept cheques (which is fine) and that your drink minimum order has been increased to 10 boxes.
As a small business I am outraged by these changes due to the fact that having to order 10 cases of your products is over the top for alot of small businesses. Not everyone is a massive conglomerate or a large store that pumps your product off of shelves and needs massive orders to keep up. There are still small businesses like myself that already found your 7 box ordering limit difficult at times due to the fact that most of the time 5 or 6 boxes is all our store needs and we ended up ordering extra stock for no reason other than to get a delivery of a certain item (or items) we needed.
This decision is made worse by not explaining how it benefits us as it seems like these decisions only benefit Coke and you have given NOTHING back to your customers at all.
Mildew smell with coke zero bottles
I am consistently getting bottles that smell like Mildew/Mold in 20 oz coke zero bottles. This has been going on for the last year plus. I have switched to cans. I usually drink multiple bottles a day, I prefer the bottles because I can cap them, and they don't get spilled. This is not just at one store. From multiple stores, in multiple towns. The latest one is marked nov1422uvc1707 and was bought at Rotton Robbies in Lakeport
Desired outcome: Fix your bottling plant
Diet Coke mildew smell under lid
I usually consume at least a six-pack of diet cokes weekly. I will have to say within the last 6 months I have had almost every single bottle have a mildew smell under the cap and it is progressively happening more often. I am very surprised that a company as large as Coca-cola simply cannot take care of this problem. This problem is apparently prevalent. I would hate to stop drinking my favorite soda but I may have to switch to a different one. I am obviously not the only consumer with this issue. Out of the last 12 bottles that I have opened only 3 have been okay. I am a 46-year-old woman that works full time and goes to college full time. Needless to say, I am not a wealthy person and I simply cannot afford to keep wasting money.
One of your truck drivers. CoCa Cola Truck. License number TUJ 30K
On August 30, 2022, I was entering the 95 expressway at 18B south in Mamaroneck New York, approximately 5:40 pm in the evening.
The entrance ramp for 18B south does not have a long runway, knowing this I go slowly when I use that ramp because the 95 is usually busy, especially during rush hour.
Driving slowly on the entry ramp, looking over my shoulder and in my mirror, I saw the truck coming, he was a distance away from me at that time. I'm still on the entry ramp about to go over when the truck sped up and came down on me, trying to pass my car.
By this time I'm about to run out of ramp, so I had to make a full stop before the driver hit me.
Instead of the truck slowing down to let me enter the expressway the driver sped up. I could not believe the driver was so unsafe, inconsiderate and dangerous.
Why was the driver rushing? The driver should have slowed down, let me merge and be on our way.
I saw the truck's license plate number afterwards, the number is from memory because I was driving, I'm not sure if all the number is hundred percent accurate.
Desired outcome: I would like the driver to know how scary it was, this massive truck so close to me.The driver caused me stress, was thoughtless, that's why I'm writing this complaint. Safety and kindness goes a long way when you're driving.Thank you.
Truck driver literally intentionally drove me off the road
On August 13, a Coke Zero truck with license plate D75281 was driving in Saint George, Utah. The freeway converges from 3 lanes to 2 (not a construction merge). I was in the right lane that converges. The Coke driver was in the middle lane, about a car length behind. Knowing it would converge, I put my blinker on well in advance. Despite having the blinker on and signs saying the road was converging, the Coke driver accelerated fully to not let me get over and then continued to angle to the right, literally pushing me off the road. I had not passed him prior to this moment or had any interaction that would possibly incite any road rage. He just did not want to let me over and despite being behind me, raced forward and then shoved me off the road. It was called into highway patrol, but not follow up was received.
Desired outcome: This driver is not only dangerous, he literally tried to intentionally provoke an accident. He should have his CDL revoked.
Diet a & w root beer
Every time I open a Diet A & W Root Beer 20 oz bottle I smell a TERRIBLE B.O. smell. I thought this was my imagination and have started rinsing the top of the bottle under running water before opening. That has not helped. This has been happening for 6-8 months, and I was drinking 2 or 3 of these a day. I am finally giving up because it's just too gross.
This is an overwhelming smell and taste of either B.O. or must or mildew. And I have been very sick with a sore throat, etc. so that is enough.
I did a Google Search and found this thread.
Desired outcome: Refund, replace - IF they can send me some that are not this way.
Coca Cola in cans
12pks of Coke are FLAT
Every single 12pk I bought from different stores wad always FLAT
This has been ongoing for years now...
Coke Rep told me the cans are thinner and any "hard bumps" can effect them...
Meanwhile, I see Coke warehouse workers tossing them around and slamming them down hard when loading...Then the Coke driver also tosses them around when loading shelves...Gee, I wonder why every 12pk is flat?
So I started buying the 24pk cases
Still, way to many cases that contain all FLAT cans of Coke...At least 3 out of ten cases I buy are FLAT...
Desired outcome: Fix the problem
Service
Good day,
I will like to make an official complaint about the way I am being treated as a customer. I have been told when I signed up, I was told that my buying pattern had to be monitored. About six months later, I asked my rep about the full requirements and she informed me that I had to purchase ten (10) cases consisting of all the products every week. I run a simple mini mart and given the challenges today in this economy, I cannot meet such demands, but I remain positive.
From a simple ice box, I moved to a freezer and there I keep the drinks. Whatever products I can afford, I try to do so every week. I had asked for the display chiller as a marketing strategy to increase sales, which will allow me to increase my orders, in other words, progress. I asked the rep some months later and she repeated herself. I asked for a sign and I was told that it did not have any at the moment. A couple of weeks after I asked again, I was told that I don’t buy the products the signs have. How ironic, because I usually have more than five to six different Coca-Cola products selling. Eventually, I got a Coca-Cola sign. I was not even offered any shelves either.
Almost one year, and I suddenly have issues getting my goods. I had to keep calling both the rep, distribution, and the office. I was told that the goods were returned to the factory because the driver said that the road was too narrow.
After speaking with someone in distribution about my concerns I was also advised that I can at least try to meet half of the demands to qualify for the chiller.
Apparently, my concerns escalated and things took their own course. I say this because, cunningly, my rep contacted me stating that her manager informed her that I phoned and complained about her, and she did this more than once, which quite frankly I found to be disrespectful and unprofessional. The rep gave me a form about two months ago.
Then one week when she came and took my order, which was three items, Sarcastically she asked if that was all I said yes and I showed her that I still had a lot of drinks. It was a month's end and I often told her that were my slower days. When I gave her back the form, she told me that I may not get through with a chiller, looked at my order to see how much my order does be. I smiled and asked to still hand it in, she then asked me, “what if I misplace it?" Again, I just smiled and told her that she wouldn’t. I reviewed the situation and decided to withdraw the application. I asked the rep to return it. Which she never did.
About two weeks ago I encountered a situation with one of your salesmen and the loader which got me upset. They were upset with having to deliver only three items and suggested to me to purchase from a wholesales place instead, that it was a waste of time. I was confused and upset altogether. Cause you all have customers in Aranguez who only order one case of Coke every week and I am being made an issue. Early this week I video record a huge Coca-Cola truck that came and turned in the same street which is too narrow! Funny how things happen, cause the driver made the wrong delivery.
Yes, what I am doing now should have been done first, but I am seeking some sort of redress as to why as a down trader I was given such poor service.
Bad customer service
Good Morning.
I have a problem and I do not know whom to talk to... but I need a resolution ASAP.
I am a transplant from Dallas, Texas and I have retired here in Licab, Nueva Ecija with my wife of 30 years. We have a little store here to keep us busy. We are having a SERIOUS problem with our Coca-Cola Distributor. I DO understand that there have been some issues with Covid and recent plant closures … BUT… our problem goes far beyond these facts.
Five months ago we went to the Coca-Cola Distribution center in Cabatuan to inquire about getting coke products wholesale and one of you Coca-Cola Representatives visited our store. He told us at that time they where holding back on expanding distribution in our area because Covid has caused shortages. BUT he assured us, he would be happy to set us up in a couple of months and that we would be the first on the list. In the mean time we have been buying Coke products from AEN Variety Store, Ilog Baliwag, Quezon, Nueva Ecija. We are currently able to sell around 500 cases of product per month and we haven’t even started to provide product to the local area.. We estimate the we will be able to sell about 1,000 CASES Per Month as soon as we can have a RELIABLE distribution source of your product.
The first problem is that we are UNABLE to purchase your product WHOLESALE! We are told by one of your representatives, (Anjaneite Nicdao) that they are actually doing us a FAVOR by selling product to US (WHAT?), I have never heard of any business model that says that.
That statement is a perfect example of the problems that exists. We have asked for a meeting with your coke representatives to set up an account with you but we have been STONE WALLED several times… your local people do NOT wish to entertain us. Last month we went back to your distribution center in Cabatuan to talk to your supervisors located there. We where given an appointment for a few days later … we arrived an hour early to ensure our promptness… we where told everyone was in a meeting and that as soon as it was over we could have our meeting… two hours passed, the meeting let out and everyone was leaving… we asked again about our appointment that was now 1.5 hours late and was told wait just a minuet in our car and they will be right with you.
What happened next was so unprofessional that the people involved should be removed from their position. The first thing that happened is that they repositioned a large delivery truck next to our van blocking the view of the main gate, NO … IT WAS NOT MY IMAGINATION. It was too obvious, what was done and why. The next thing that happened was, 5 cars with representatives and supervisors maneuvered around several obstacles in the yard and then went around the blind side of the parked truck. They didn’t think I saw them, I had gone over by the fence to see what was going on… but they all came out of the building, I saw the guard, that knew we where waiting for our appointment, talk to them and pointed out where we where waiting. They grouped together, discussed something and then went to their cars… All of the cars positioned themselves in a position that would allow them a straight shot to the exit…. They had a guard stop traffic and they all rushed the gate and left. I thought that was a very unusual for that type of behavior… Then the truck parked next to us left… I went to the guard and asked about our appointment again… he said they all had to leave… PLEASE explain to ME how a company like Coca-Cola can allow its representative to give this type of Customer Service to anyone… If you cant do the appointment as agreed, come to me FACE TO FACE and tell me. Don’t SNEAK OUT AND LEAVE ME STANDING THERE.
On an additional matter with the same people. Yesterday, I sent my truck over to AEN Coke Distributor to purchase 100 cases of Coke products (Yes I am sending MY truck over to get product, I can not even get reliable delivery of your product) and your Representative, Anjaneite Nicdao was there and told the owner / operator NOT to sell us any product… she told him to only sell us 25 cases and NOT to sell any large quantities of product to us again…. AGAIN PLEASE EXPLAIN to me just what type of a business model do you have in place here… I know it is NOT Coca-Cola’s Business model
Bottom Line … I want to be able to compete with other stores in my area that are being delivered product straight form the Cabatuan distribution center. I would like to purchase WHOLESALE so I can sell RETAIL.
Please set up an account for us … we are not even asking for credit, cash transactions are fine with us.

Diet Coke 20oz bottle
I have been an avid Diet Coke drinker for years. I buy 1 20oz bottle a day. Over the past couple of months, the bottles are smelling like mildew/cat pee. To the point where I cannot drink them. Also, if I get a bottle that does not smell- it is almost completely flat. No fiz and tastes like our syrup. I have even been delivered a six pack with bottles that are sealed but half empty.
Desired outcome: Can you check your products and fix it?
Bottled Diet Coke
I have smelled mildew on my bottled Diet Coke many times, but today was the worst. I bought 2 bottles of Diet Coke from a CVS. Both of them smelled so much like mildew that they were undrinkable from the bottle. The smell was so strong that it made me sick top my stomach. I poured one bottle over ice and the smell remained and the soda tasted flat and like chemicals. I ended up pouring out both bottles because they were undrinkable. I'm worried that this is a health hazard.
Desired outcome: Please refund and respond with what could cause the mildew smell/flavor.

New coke zero is zero. I thought i had mistakely bought diet coke! Blah!
I am told i drink far too much coke zero at 6 0r 8 cans a day and buy flats of 24.
So now I have 48 cans of undrinkable crap and the store won't refund because the plastic wrap was cut off when I put it in the fridge.
I Really like Stevia coke despite only half stevia but then you pulled it...then coke zero fit the hole left in the choices.
You should be concerned that I just discovered PEPSI ZERO taste much better than the NEW coke zero.
Desired outcome: How can I get a refund? or at least 2 flats of OLD coke zero?I will provide evidence of purchase
Diet coke
6/20/2022 5:30 am
Bought a 20 oz Diet Coke at a gas station off of hwy 287 and S. Walnut hill
I opened and took a drink, there was no or less then noticeable any fizz. It was more like syrup thinned out.
I know there allot of people who drink Diet Coke because it has been hard trying to get it at stores. I just know that I am one of the biggest fans of diet coke and can tell you when something is bad from just the first drink.
This makes about the 3rd 2 litter and 2nd 20oz drink that haven't meet standards.
Desired outcome: Just to make sure that somewhere when making the product that it would follow a better quality check so that it doesn't get out. It could make people change to another product.
coke zero cans smell and taste bad after opening
recently opened several coke zero cans and they omitted a bad smell - others in the thread say it's like BO or mold but I can't distinguish it - to me it smells a bit like engine oil and is quite offensive. The cans were purchased at our local Tesco in the UK and have all been stored in the fridge and are all well within date - 30-11-22. They came from a box of 24 cans (I bought 3 boxes) so am worried that the others will be the same?
If you need further info, please let me know
I also had this same issue, but I am in the US (Florida). My husband thinks they smell like a chemical, but I think they smell like engine oil or maybe exhaust fumes. Whatever it is it isn't pleasant and they actually taste horrible too. I was thinking of taking them somewhere for testing.
New fridge req reg
I want to raise a complaint against the cocacola Distributor Located at India, Tamilnadu (state), Coimbatore (district), Karamadai. I own a restaurant called Samura, Bakery (Timepass), Sweetshop (Ms Sweet) and doing a continuous follow up for new fridge but Coke supplier says that No new fridge available.
I got totally disappointed with this follow up.
So kindly take an immediate action for this and arrange a new machine for the business
Regards,
Ramesh

Coke Zero 12 pack
I had opened a 12 pack a few days ago and had 1 in the past 4 days--which was fine. Today, 6/2/22, I opened another and took a sip. As I was doing so it tasted weird and a chemical smell hit me. At the same time, I realized it was fizzing like the can had been dropped and wouldn't stop. I had a family member smell it and they too said it smelled like a chemical. I poured it down the kitchen sink and it frothed around the bottom of the sink at the drain. I don't know. Just glad I didn't take a bigger sip. I'm not angry, just think it might be good the company is aware so others don't have the same experience. I'm still not sure if I should dump the 10 cans I still have. As I said, the first can was fine.
Anyway, thanks for reading.
Desired outcome: Could someone tell me what this chemical could be? Should I dump the rest of the 12 pack?
20oz Coke Zero
More often than not when I buy a 20oz bottle of Coke Zero, the smell of the cap and mouthpiece is absolutely sickening. I've poured out so many sodas over it. This has been happening for the past year or so. It's my favorite soda and I've spent a lot of money gambling on whether the one I purchase will stink or not. What is the deal?
I don't have receipts because most were purchased at corner markets which don't list the items which you've bought. Almost all were purchased at Circle CK 5219 Elkhorn Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95842 right across the street from where I lived and shopped almost daily for 9 years, or Discount Liquor 5225 Elkhorn Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95842. I purchased 2 today at Stop and Shop 6007 Dry Creek Rd, Rio Linda, CA 95673 and they both smell awful.
Desired outcome: A refund for the money I've wasted on undrinkable sodas
Cola-cola in cans
We buy lots of regular coke but I noticed lately that no matter where we purchase they are all the same, flat coke. I purchased from a grocery around my home and I thought maybe it was that particular store so I then bought some from CVS and Walmart and they are all flat. The coke goes flat even before finishing the whole can. If this continues I will be switching to Pepsi. And like I said we buy a lot of coke.
Desired outcome: Refund or compensation
