checkout service staff
went to the checkout on 30/09/19 had all my empty bags in my freezer bag which was zipped up, the checkout staff member asked me if anything was in the bag which I said my empty bags she proceeded to scan my items and leave them beside the bag I asked her why she wasn't putting them into the bags which she replied I haven't got the time to unzip the bag I said what do you mean you haven't got time to unzip the bag then she said she couldn't be bothered to do it so I then started putting them in myself then she started to help me and I told her not to bother I do it myself I use to work on the checkout at coles and I never served/treated customers like that somebody ought to teach her how to serve customers she was on register 13 at 4pm and my receipt no 6444.
so much plastic being used in deli - not environmentally supportive
I can't believe that a company that has taken plastic bags away can be so 2 faced about the new processes being used in the Fresh Food Deli. Every time ham or lunch meat etc get sliced/customer served it requires new plastic wrap and placed in back fridge. What was wrong with putting it back on the plate in the cabinet that the customer can see product and...

Visited the coles taigum qld au store (circa 1pm, 2/10/2019) to order cigarettes. I placed my order clearly as I do regularly. the clerk repeated my order correctly, so I had no reason to believe that I was paying for the wrong product. As most cigarette packaging looks quite similar nowadays, I can understand that the clerk may have mistaken one packet...

I purchased a hot chicken from the Southland Store on Thursday 26/9/19, please picture of bag and bar code attached. I was eating the stuffing out of the middle of it and I came across something hard in my mouth, it nearly broke my tooth, I swallowed it accidentally. I then scooped out the rest of the stuffing and found another small rock in it. Surely the...

Hi I'm writing to complain about coles gluten free bread.
Recently when I buy the bread it is all broken and doesn't form a piece of bread. I'm sick of paying $5 for the bread for my daughter when it's constantly broken. Gluten free bread is not easy to come by or cheap and having to keep replacing loaf after loaf due to not being able to use pieces is ridiculous.
I have attached pics of the latest bread only opened today.
pls see below
Hi coles. We've shopped with you for decades. Yesterday we had a very disappointing experience at Coles Manly Vale. We would like to complain. Would you kindly let us know who to contact. This staff member, tall, about 35, not caucasian, was very rude and put us down in front of a number of other customers and staff. it was completely unacceptable and belittling. We were in fact only at the information counter because you're Coles online store had totally stuffed up our order of over $100 and substituted items even though we had clearly stated no substitution. what's worse is the substituted items were nothing like what we wanted. In fact one item was substituted for another item which was of lesser size than what we paid for originally.
This is so disappointing given the thousands of dollars we have spent in your store over the years. It really put me enough on edge to decide not to continue my loyalty anymore.
What can you do to rectify this?
By the way I have noticed the staff in that Manly Vale store with only a few exceptions are generally rude and uptight. It must be coming from upper management. I notice it a lot less in your other stores. I look forward to hearing from you. A very disappointed previous (?) customer
extremely rude and judgmental manager maria
I have been shopping at the coles Grote street store for almost 5 years on a weekly basis I go there 5 sometimes 6 times a week and have literally spent thousands upon thousands at this store. I am a regular andost of the staff know me.
I have 2 kids ages 3 and 4.5 the eldest has special needs. I am a single mother raising them doing everything I can to provide for them in every way.
For the past year the Manager Maria has been giving me rude and judgmental looks and shaking her head at me when I'm trying to get my sons to leave the store with me.
At first I ignored it but just today she rudely told me to keep my voice down and that I am distracting the other customers.
I was at the checkout and had just finished packing my groceries
By this time both my sons were running around and refusing to hop on the pram so we could all leave... this was happening for a good 20 mins before I firmly told my eldest son to hop in the pram or I will tell him off.
The manager then prepcreded to tell me to just calm down and keep my voice down because I am distracting the other customers.
I feel this was super rude as I wasn't even yelling was talking firmly trying to teach my sons.
And she has no right to talk to me in such a manner or question my parenting.
I would like for her to be re trained on dealing with costumers as I am a regular, I have two sons who are at very difficult stages in development ie testing everything 24/7 which makes it difficult to get them to do even the simplest of tasks.
as well as a son who has special needs on top of it all.
lack of stock
I'm bitterly disappointed with the lack of urgency when replenishing stock in Chipping Norton coles, management should be held accountable for the lack of interest in their customers. Could someone ask this incompetent unprofessional disappointing manager to restock the empty isles. This complaint may be of little to no relevance to you but I'm really really disappointed and frustrated. In fact if this store manager was working for me I would fire him. Not good enough.
plastic packaging
I am continually shocked at the amount of plastic packaging you use, I do not buy any of these products anymore and am tempted to stop shopping at Coles.
This morning I was asked to lay out some cakes someone brought for a staff farewell that they had purchased from Coles (cheesecake, sponge cake & macaroons).
The amount of plastic I then had to throw away was depressing. This happens daily in every suburb - amazing you can allow this.
What are you doing to the environment! I am forced to vote with my wallet if you can't take responsibility.
Very disappointed!

On Friday Sian bought a $40 recharge voucher at Coles. Sian did not realize until she got home they gave her optus instead of telstra. I rang Whitford Coles and told them on sunday. Lady said no problems, she can go to any Coles store and ask for it to be changed over, she does not have to come back to whitford. She said it is not the first time this has happened. Today Jess took Sian to Alexander Heights to change it. Lady said no, it has to be done at whitfords. Jess spoke and lady said no. Sian rang me, i rang lady, told her etc etc, she said you can speak to the person in charge of me, I said yes, put him on. I told him that I was told she could exchange it any coles. He said that is not correct.
So I then said to him, she is Autistic, she needs credit on her phone so she can go out and be in contact. I said, I live an hour away and I am not coming down to take her to coles at whitfords. I was told she can change it anywhere. She is with her carer who can't be running her around everywhere. He said, okay, i will do it now, but I can't do it again. I said, thankyou, much appreciated. goodbye
Then apparantly the lady was not that nice to Sian when she handed her the new voucher. She said to me first, well how do i know the voucher has not been used. I said, my daughter has a telstra phone and know what she needs every month, she cannotuse it. I was so annoyed
car park
Hi I would like to voice a concern and complaint about the car park at Eden coles I went with my 80 year old grandmother and found the car park full and she has a disability ticket and the car in it's spot had nothing on display I went to the driver of the car and asked if she had a parking permit and was told to F off I had enough and told her off and demanded she move only moved when I informed her I was calling the police I asked for assistance from staff and was told just calm down my grandmother cannot walk the distance from under the shop I'm just a full time career who has had enough of cars and people who think they can do what they won't
coles. slow cooked pork belly slices
I purchased the above product for the first time today the 20/9. My complaint is the details regarding the product should be defrosted before cooking should be listed in the cooking instructions NOT listed in small print in storage instructions. I did think it was strange that it could be cooked frozen. However so many frozen foods are cooked from a frozen state l just assumed. Very disappointed but the the Pork Bellys is now defrosting in the fridge for tomorrow's dinner. Just thought l would bring this to your attention.
Kind regards
Bev Ferguson.

out of stock and poor customer service
I shop at coles west end brisbane. My complaint is that products are not in stock and poor customer service. Today (19 september) there were no chicken wings at the deli section or on the shelves. Another customer and I were looking for the wings and asked 2 different coles staff to be told by both they were out of stock in the entire store. Another...

Leanne was extremely rude, didn't ask or attempt to provide friendly customer service and when I apologised for accidentally leaving my debit card at home and asked if she could put my groceries aside for me she gave me the angriest glare she thought she could get away with and when I returned she barely acknowledged that I was there didn't say hello or morning, handled my groceries roughly, refused to pack, didn't ask for flybys or say anything when I left instead she turned her back to me and refused to acknowledge I was there and proceeded with the next customer
green and black 85% chocolate organic
This product appears to be no longer stocked
Seems crazy at a time when the efficacy of dark chocolate for lining blood vessels with a substance which prevents cholesterol from settling is well established.
From the number of times I have taken the last 2 tablets from the shelf over the years I have been using it turnover was not the problem.
Please bring it back - the non-organic similar products are not satisfactory replacement - clearly clients who appreciate the health effects will also be concerned to have the organic benefits.
staff attitude, very poor
Waited at the deli section for about 10 minutes which I did not mind, another customer was being served so I waited my turn, the customer I waited on bought about 2 dozen chicken wings which was fine by me. Then the employee came to serve me, by this times there was only one chicken wing remaining in the display tray so I asked if there was any more available to come out, she said there was another box to come out but they were reserved for the manager. I said (so much for customer relations) to her and went on my way to woolworths. I've always been a pretty loyal customer of coles but lately I think woolworths have the edge on supermarket shopping. And thats where i'll be doing my shopping in future. I've recently moved up to townsville from nsw and I must say the staff at the coles store here at deeragun nq
Leave a lot to be desired, their class is in their feet.
coles gluten free bread
Hi there I am writing to complain about the Coles brand gluten free bread soy and linseed bread I opened the bread to toast it and it started falling apart as seen in photos that have been attached, this is disgusting and can't be toasted when falling apart what can be done about this please sick of complaining in store as nothing gets done thanks.

Hi on the 5th of September I had 1st shopped at Woolworth's Parkmore I placed the items in a coles freezer/ cold bag, I then shopped at Coles Keysborough my trolley was quite full. coles australian almonds 350g
Hi Guys, I am writing to you to advise that a couple of nights ago I opened a packet of the above mentioned almonds purchased from Coles Birkdale Qld.
About half way through the packet and at approximately 9:45pm whilst operating a mining Haul Truck, I place a few almonds into my mouth and began chewing. I bit down and felt an heard a crunch and felt something sharp catch the back of my throat as I swallowed. As well as a pain to my top right rear moler. At the same time I had what I thought was part of an almond trapped between my clenched teeth from biting down. I reached into my mouth and removed a hard piece of cylindrical plastic with a section missing. Presumably the piece I believe I swallowed?
I presented to our companies medic within 30-45 mins of this happening and received some pain killers. 3 days later I am still experiencing discomfort to this tooth/gum when I chew or clench my teeth together to which previously to this, I had no discomfort what so ever.
I wanted to let you guys know so you could perhaps review or check the quality control on this product.
I have attached photos for you and please feel free to contact me for further information on mobile [protected]. Or alternatively you can email me at [protected]@gmail.com
Sincerely,
Darren Chesney
