I was wrongfully accused of stealing an item right after making a purchase
I was wrongfully accused of stealing an item right after making a purchase. This wasn't the only time where this had occurred. There have been numerous accounts of harassment from the staff rushing me to buy what I needed or keeping a constant eye on me as if I were a convict. Due to the incompetence of the staff workers in this establishment, the police were called and the matter was dealt with, but I will not return to this store if that employee continues to work there.
shorting on medication. ongoing problem
Shorted me hydrocodone. I brought to their attention and was treated rudely and basically accused of being drug user. Was told that note put in file and that medication would be double counted in future. Got new prescription today and not only shorted pills but labeled changed to show 30 rather than 40. Manager of store tried to pass off that it was a...

I have another situation that just happened over the weekend. On 2/24, I went to an oral surgeon to have teeth extracted. He gave me 2 prescriptions, one for pain and antiboitic. I had the five teeth removed on 2/26, and started taking the medicines. I stopped (or I thought I had stopped) taking the pain medicine and how my liver problems and only took the antiboitic. I felt very tired and took several naps during the day. Then on 3/6, I needed the pain medicine,
then I dropped one and then noticed that the same medicine was in both medicine bottles. I stopped both medicines, and my wife checked with CVS on 3/7. Both medicines were the pain medicine. I called a supervisor at Medco Health, for another reason, and he told me that that was the worst thing that a pharmacy could do. He said it could have killed me either from overdose of pain medicine or infection from not taking antiboitics to protect me from infection.
I thought I should refer this to you, to get your advice in what I should do. Heaven forbid that I would have died and no one would have known it was due to a mistake by CVS.
Myself and my husband have been CVS customers for many years. for the past 11 years we have been with CVS in Paulsboro, NJ Recently I experienced their worst mistake ever. I ordered a refill from their refill line and it was confirmed. I picked up the script and didn't open it until a few days later when I would refill my script container for the week. Much to my surprise the script had a new number and was completely different from what my doctor had prescribed in the original script. The "floating pharmacist" was very condesending and tried to get rid of me ASAP by telling me I had to accept the med they prescribed along with additional medication and that the script number had been changed because it was a new script and not a refill. This went on and on. Even with a print out from their computer reflecting that an unauthorized change had been made, he continued to say the script was the correct script. I could go on and on. I did call their customer service line and related what had happened. They said they would have the supervisor of pharmacy for the area call me. He called and said "you had a complaint because you were given your script in a box instead of a container". I knew then it was one big fix. Please give me a break. He said he would call me back after he spoke with the pharmacist if he needed to speak with me further. I told him "Please don'tcall me back, I have had enough aggravation. It is your job to investigate your paharmacies, not mine.
I WON'T EVER USE CVS AGAIN. I HAVE NOTICED SINCE 2011 THAT THE ATTITUDES OF THE EMPLOYEES IN THE ENTIRE STORE HAVE CHANGED. CAN IT BE THE NEW CEO?
expired food
I had purchased 2 bags of the CVS pita chips and both bags were expired since august...I knew they didn't taste the same but I also told myself that since they weren't my favorite brand, that was probably why my taste buds weren't enjoying them as much. Finally when my stomach began to hurt, I looked at the expiration date, and almost threw up. I immediately had to leave school from feeling so sick, and returned these items back to CVS. The manager apologized, but in this case, I feel something more should be done for me. I spend tons of money in there all the time, and it would be nice to know that they care so much, they are willing to send me a gift card for more than two bags of chips are worth! Please call me at [protected]...or send me a gift card to 17 Cemetery Rd.Derry NH 03038. You can check up on this incident by checking with the night manager for Oct. 25, 2011. Thank you, miss Andrea Capozzi

believe me they don't want to sell expired stuff.. but chips and others like it have a very short shelf life.. check your date and don't be a ### about it...
Definitely remove personal info.. why would you even put the on a site like this? Anyway, always look at expiration for your own safety. Often times I find that a lot of items are expired at CVS, Walmart, Target, etc. Usually chocolate bars.. which I found was a buy 1 get 1 free at a Walmart and usually they're about $5 so I turned them over and found out they were expired. Please, they know what they are doing selling expired stuff and hope no one notices.
awful, awful service
I was a long’s customer for over 30 years, until now when cvs took over.
(1) they reduced their merchandise by about 20% and introduced cvs brand (Which does not have my confidence)
(2) long’s had a 24 hr “1-hour” photo service, fill out the envelope and you’re on your way; cvs has to input and type out a form, and only when an attendant is there, limited hours.
(4) very few magazines now.
(5) the ridiculous “cvs card” program, which offers little benefit (After spending over $100 I was offered a free chapstick] the program also generates a flood of useless junk email promotions. Why don’t they just give a discount to every customer and scrap the card? A lot of elderly folks go there and are confused by the card thing. I presume this is how they can track your purchases. One more thing to carry.
(6) they give you a ton of receipts with coupons, contests, polls, etc. Which I usually throw away and don’t have time to read.
(7) they installed rubber carpet-tiles and the whole place has stunk like burnt rubber for months.
(8) my atm card has problems reading only at cvs. Some clerks can “make” it work, some can’t.
(9) the pharmacy operates limited hours. Every time I need an rx, late, their closed. Walgreens has a 24 hour pharmacy.
Needless to say, after so many years, I am taking all my business to walgreens. They also have their pharmacy on a network, so you can get your rx at another location.

poor service
I recently retired and tried to switch from care mark to silver script which is also care mark but for over 65. I had 4 scripts to transfer and only 2 of them actually went to the new site. I finally got 1 more over to the new site but the 4th one is a real problem. I called them on the 10 of August and spoke to a cust service rep who never fixed the problem. It is now the 23rd of August and after talking to 3 different supervisors, I still can't get my medicine. Each one i talk to gives me a different story. One said they see I still have 2 refills and will take care of it promptly and next I'm told they have no knowledge of a refill. Today I called my previous employer to try to get help and she did a three way conference call with care mark and was told the same thing they are telling me. We are looking into it, but not letting me know if I will get my meds. Now keep in mind, I pay $82 a month for this plus a deductible, and I'm getting NO medicine! I want to drop out of silverscript but I don't know if my employer will let me. what can I do?
I have a son with life threatening illnesses and I can't even begin to tell you how frustrating it is to have to deal with a company such as CVS Caremark on top of having to deal with these illnesses. They will routinely hold onto prescriptions for weeks and THEN send letters saying they have tried to contact your doctor with questions, not true, and will then take additional time filling the orders if at all! It has become apparent to me that they care more about money than people and I will now just go to my local pharmacy and pay more than I should have to get my son's prescriptions.
I have had epic bad service from CVS Caremark, when they shipped the wrong medicine, iy took 7 phone calls to get it turned around. 6 weeks later, I dont have the medicine-get this, I called tonight-my prescription was on hold. They credited my credit card for the previous wrong prescription, then charged a VISA card I hadnt used for over a year! All the while it was on hold, they didnt notify me!
Looking at my cell phone, I have spent over 6 hours talking and waiting...
Unless you are going to save a fortune, I suggest you not use this service.
CVS/Caremark quotes rules that don't exist. They avoid putting anything in writing. The one time they did put something in writing, they failed to follow their own policy, required mail-order when we were previously told it could be gotten at retail. Then they asked for a dr's letter to approve a dose increase (which is, in effect, practicing medicine without a license)--and then denied the prescription. They stalled until it was not possible to get the mail-order Rx in time--unless we paid for expedited shipping for their mistake. Forced us to go to a pharmacy 20 miles from home.

fired
Basically to make a long story short I have been a shift supervisor for CVS for only 3months, had been there for 2 years total. I got fired becuase I accidently left the safe open and what I thought at the time was a secured office space. I was in between counting money helping cashiers and customers on a busy panthers football game day, so as HUMAN BEING and NOT a MACHINE I made a mistake and left the office without closing the safe to return a change drawer when 2 suspects broke into the office and stole the money from the safe and the deposit. Just let you know the office is not located by the registers like most CVS's its like walking the green mile all the way back by the minute clinic and PUBLIC RESTROOMS! Anyway the next day loss prevention told me my negligence was unforgivable and that he hates that things like this happen to good people. I stressed it over and over that it was a mistake and the whole time he just wanted to be clear that i wasn't being fired because of what the robbers did...hmm makes me think they think I had something to do with it. Not only that but he didn't want to believe that I was not the only supervisor breaking policy...But where does it actually say that if you leave a safe open your fired? It only instructs to protect company assets not what happens if you don't. Ultimately, I didn't want to give this much fight but I've been thinking that if they deny my unemployments benefits they won't hear the last of me. If you have any clue as to what actions I should take or have any simpler stories please feel free to email me.
Considering that other supervisors committed the same act but yet I'm the only one who gets fired Is what I was really making a complaint about.
they may have commited the same act, but did they get robbed when doing it?
as much as you want to clear yourself because "well, they did it too", THEY were fortunate enough to not get robbed because of it. right now, its time to take your medicine and take responsibility for the mistake. yes, your human and mistakes happen. but, anywhere you go, if this happened, you would have been fired for it. you simply broke a rule that is in place for a reason. and now, you know the reason why the rule is in place.
bad service
I was in the cvs pharmacy the other night, very disappointed in the customer service. the man was older and was alone he told me 3 hours to fill one prescription. when i told him i could take it some where else he got mad and threw his glasses on the counter and asked what i wanted him to do. i will never go back to that cvs again. ford road and inkster cvs one bad apple spoils it for everyone else

I had precription filled with me about how his shaving cream container does the same thing! And that I should have used it up within 3 months when it was dated 8/11/2012 to discard. I had it filled 8/11/11. Today is 9/28 I'm not suppose to use it everyday per Doctor. I told him I wasn't going to argue with him and that I would be transferring my business elsewhere...He gave me a new one after offending me in front of his staff and customers.I won't use them again.I will be using another pharmacy.

charged twice for same purchase
I am complaining that your company illegally manually entered my card number in your system 6 weeks after I left the area after a business visit in July. The Card would not go through a charge and as a result cash was paid for the items. 6 weeks later
08/22/2011 DEBIT CARD DEBIT EQUIFAX - 05 - CVS PHARMACY #3210 Q03 LAS VEGAS NV 35.63 was charged to my account. I live in WNY not on the west coast and could not have possibly charged this transaction. Your customer service dept was not helpful so I have to go through my bank to dispute this. This is NOT good customer service, many company s much smaller would make this right for to keep the patronage of their customers. It is sad that a company many people trust does not service their customers well. I do not expect any satisfactory reply after dealing with your company and will not spend another dime again.
perscription loss
Wow I thought it was just me, I was in the twilight zone yesterday, I got prescription jacked by CVS, took my narcotic med for my client on Sat. Then said they had to order, so called every day did not arrive, plus holiday, so dropped by on Tuesday, pharmacists says someone already picked the order, then that I never showed up by proof that he did not remember me and not on video tape from cameras, so I called the police! And the cop was taking his side, we will see what the report looks like, no wonder suburban Americans are so happy from prescription meds their street pharmacists are real pharmacists! I was robbed, and I am not alone!

insurance error
I switched insurance companies in November 2010 from Blue Cross/Blue Shield (BC/BS) to CVS Caremark. I provided the CVS pharmacy with my new insurance card as soon as I received it, and my coverage began on November 1, 2010. Several months ago, I received a bill from BC/BS indicating that I owe them $1, 8010.60 for medications that CVS Pharmacy continued to bill through BC/BS from November 2010 through the end of JANUARY 2011. For several months, I have been on the phone with BC/BS who directed me to contact CVS Carmark, who, when I finally reach a human being, was forwarded to another "person who could help me, " and finally spoke with someone to submit all the receipts for the prescriptions they should have been billed for. This took several weeks. Meanwhile, I received letters from BC/BS indicating that they are very serious about my paying them and I may be sent to collections. I have informed them that I am trying to remedy the situation. I received a "reimbursement check" from CVS Caremark for $26.00. Yep, $26.00. CVS Careark informed me that there is nothing else they can do. I am beyond furious with the incompetence and inability for the insurance companies and CVS to work together to correct the error that was made by the CVS pharmacy. I am being directed to jump through hoops, attempting to correct a MAJOR error that I DID NOT EVEN MAKE! How is it now my responsibility to remedy this situation. CVS pharmacy needs to take action and responsibility and figure out how to reimburse BC/BS, because I certainly do NOT have an extra $1, 810.60 to fix SOMEONE ELSE'S ERROR. If anyone knows how to help me in this situation, please let me know. I cannot handle any more of the going in circles and accomplishing nothing, yet being expected to fix something I don't even understand. Help. CVS take some responsibility and help.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
number one, . cvs pharmacy is going to have to retract their claim from bcbs so it isnt showing liability. as icu2 said, why would they have even processed it to begin with if you arent covered. Unless of course, you are just getting an EOB that says you they didnt cover it?
but, if they retract the calim from bcbs, they would basically reverse the whole charge.
sucks big time
Oh how we miss the days of Long’s Drugs ! At first when CVS came into the picture we had great feeling this would be a good company and that they would take care of their employees ! WRONG over the last 18 months they have done everything and nothing to make CVS a nice place top shop ! The stores are dirty, the employees are required to vaccumm, mop the floors, take out the trash and clean the restrooms and toilets, all because CVS will NOT pay for professional janitors, except for the Beauty 350 locations that cost 1 million $$$$$$ oer store.
We are paid crap wages and hours are cut to the bare bone to ensure the management get’s their numbers right and who cares of we can’t pay our rent or bills. Forget the poor customers who can’t find the items that are looking for because there are not enough staff to stock the shelves abd do check out the shelving and how dirty they are behind the products.
The poor communicatiion between management and the DM’s just goes to show you that they don’t give a rat’s a$$ about our concerns or issues that make us unhappy employees. I gave up shopping at CVS, even with my employee discount as I find the prices and selections at Target Stores much better. Besides why get called up to the office to be reamed over something you did not do by a manager who has no idea who or what you are to CVS as a person.
CVS is suposed to stand for Consumer Value Shopping, what a joke, it’s more like crap virus ### with regards to the stock and CVS’s plan to copy each and every brand name product as their own which fails to live up to the standards that the major brands do.
Enough said, check it out for yourself and ask your favorite cashier, if you can find them what’s up? 10-4 over and out CVS Sucks. Me Twinkle Toes
The CVS in downtown San Leandro California is really weak in the pharmacy. They need more help behind the counter. The line starts to build up and people are waiting 15-20 minutes to get waited on. Why is there not an express lane for people who are just picking up prescriptions? I would like to take my business somewhere else I'm just tired of waiting every time I go in that place
I have worked for CVS for 3 years and have received 60 cents in raises in that time. I agree that the DM & above (corporate) do not care about the employees. In my case (Oklahoma) the DM & RM etc are all pharmacists that have no idea about RETAIL & I had a great SM but he retired due to being 67 yrs old and having to work 70+ hours a week, he worked 90 before I came in under him. They pay crap wages so they do not get many good employees. We do not have enough hours to actually get the work done and then get griped at due to things not being perfect. If I did not have a family to support and my vacation built up I would leave but honestly there are not many jobs out there that are worth leaving everything for, especially since then I would fall behind more on my bills, .
poor customer service
Aug. 28, 2011: I spend a lot of money at this location because it is a small town and really there are no other places to shop. I often experience serious attitude problems with cashier # 0318566. I once asked for the manager and she gave me the run around, and this morning I went to get the paper and she did not hand me my receipt or give me a bag. I would really prefer a self service register if this is the kind of acceptable customer service this store will provide. I have to say I was a customer service associate for nearly 9 years through out high school and college and this would have never been acceptable. This is the second complaint I am making pertaining the the behavior of this particular employee. This person is very lucky to maintain her position. I also have a feeling it is because I tan deep, I am often discriminated against, not just at this location but other businesses as well.
I live around the corner and expecting someone to at least have a minimal amount of verbal interaction while making a purchase is to me not extremely unreasonable. I noticed there are a lot of trolls on this site thats why I haven’t posted in nearly a year. But talking to my neighbors I learned no one really likes to buy anything from this particular cvs location, but as I said it is a rural area and there are few choices
when theres a hurricane and its the sunday paper, all the inserts went flying
The pharmacy staff at the CVS in Pinellas Park, Florida treated me so rudely this afternoon, May 16th, 2010. My wife and daughter asked to use the bathroom bef0re doing our shopping there, and when I also stepped into the corridor to use the water fountain, "Jessica" yelled out across the counter, "SIR, SIR, YOU'LL HAVE TO STEP OUT OF THERE AND WAIT TILL THEY ARE DONE." I explained I was just getting some water, that's all, and it was just my wife and daughter and I was with them, and that we were a family. She said, "I DON'T CARE, THAT'S OUR POLICY. ONLY TWO PEOPLE AT A TIME USING THE BATHROOM." I told her I wasn't using the bathroom; I'd been out in 90 degree weather for several hours and wanted a drink of water. I could see the water fountain in front of me on the other side of the door was located about 15 feet from another door down a hallway that led to the bathroom. I'm a 52-year old man; I don't look threatening and I'm not a security risk. We didn't have any packages, so theft was not a consideration. We didn't look like hoodlums. There were very few people in the store. But to hear Jessica and then the other pharmacy employees yelling at me in public, chastising me for trying to drink water while my wife and our 7-year old daughter were using the bathroom, was humiliating. The store manager had to get involved before the pharmacy employees apologized. Such blind allegiance to "following orders" and not exercising any common sense judgment or discretion is reprehensible. We left the store and went to a Walgreen's down the street. I might dump my CVS card, and I'm tempted to seek legal counsel for the humiliation I suffered.
If you hadnt made an ### out of yourself you wouldnt have been humiliated to begin with. Once you were told to get out of there, you should have just backed off.
Now you wanna scream lawsuit? Good luck finding the attorney that wants an ### for a client. Looking for a little free money are ya?
Oh good lord. If it's store policy, don't be a dick. I agree with Irish 100%. You showed your very young daughter how to break rules and demand an apology in order to turn the tables on innocent store clerks just doing what they're told to do.
Nice one. And good luck getting any respectable lawyer to take your case of "humiliation".
rip off
I just received a prescription through the cvs mail order 90 day supply service. Cvs sent me only 2 bottles (1 bottle is a 30 day supply) and charged me 4x what the medication costs at kroger, meijer, or walmart. Four times! When I callerd to complain they told me that 1. I could not return it 2. I would pay the bill, or else! They would not adjust the price, I must simply pay their bill. They are crooks! I (My family) will never use them again, in fact, I am cancelling all of my wife's medication that we have neen receiving from cvs.
They do this all the time to their customers. Someone should start a class action suit. I will never do business with them again.
prescription error
I went to CVS pharmacy on 08/01/2011 afternoon for my prescription. The store's address is 5764 Peachtree Industrial Blvd, Chamblee, GA 30341 and the store's number is 4505. The pharmacist gave me Levaquin and Flonase. The first medicine is for antibiotic and the second one is for sinus. I was surprised because I don't have any sinus problem. So I returned it because I thought doctor's mistake. I couldn't sleep well, unhappy and a lot of stress. These made me I had serious arguments with my wife and daughter. On 08/18/2011 I didn't see any improve my benign prostate so I went to doctor's office again. Doctor told me my prostate was the same as before and he asked me why. We discussed and then we found that CVS gave me the wrong drug that I returned was for my prostate enlargement.Pharmacist should give me Flomax instead of Flonase. This is very terrible and dangerous situation for prescription error. I went there and complaint. The store manager is not nice enough.Pharmacist told me she'll make a correction in their system. I have all evidence in my hand. Mistake is mistake. How could they make such a mistake? Who are going to response my painful, time and money? THIT IS UNPROFESSIONAL PHARMACIST.
Similar issue happen to my dad the meds he was given belong to someone else he was unable to read and he had vision problems one was a blood thinner and the other was a vitamin no excuse my dad has issues before and was already on a blood thinner he was brought to the er for heart failure I'm so upset he is far from the same
restrooms disgusting
So a few months back I took photos of the restrooms at this CVS location because I was absolutely disgusted with the restrooms. I had the intention of sending these to CVS so that they can get someone on this, but since they do not have an email or complaint department on their website, I never did anything. So, today, 8/22/2011, went into this CVS location...

I get a monthly script of the same medication every month, and I always go to cvs to fill it maybe not the same every month but still a cvs, I went to a cvs my normal routine to get it filled and the lady filling my script treated me like I was an addict because of the type of medication I needed filled, she gave me a hard time on filling it right away, by telling me I needed prior authorization by my doctor, (my first time ever hearing this) so I asked why and how I did that, she was very rude when telling me how to go about it, now mind you my doctor had wrote on the script may fill today because of medical reasons and she would not even give me the time of day to explain that and ask her questions on why it could not be filled as a generic.
When I get it filled every month her customer service skills were very poor and I felt so discriminated I walked out teary eyed and confused. I have been clean off of the reason I have been on the medication for more then a year and a half and I take my sobriety very seriously and this medication helped me in getting this far. So I went to another cvs thinking to my self positve and giving that lady the bennifit of the doubt maybe that was just her or maybe I even I took it the wrong way, so I get to another cvs and the phamacist was so nice and explained every thing I needed and wanted to know with out no discrimination and seen what my doctor wrote on the script called it in and I got it filled in 15 minutes.
And I told her what had just happened and she said that the lady either just did not want to do her job.
Its so sad when you have so much trouble getting a script filled...I have Many complaints from work area's that look dirty and also techs that are wearing dirty smocks to being called to pick up a script and when I get there they only had 1/2 the meds available. I also have been promised something would be ready and available by noon the next day after making 2 other trips for same meds and when I got there .it still wasn't filled there was some other issue and they failed to call me AGAIN . I have walked up to turn in a script and been met with rude and curt attitude... I would not use CVS except that is my insurance plan. I just don't understand how so many people are so unhappy with CVS yet they do little to improve. It breaks my heart to see Senior Citizens have to deal with them. The people who work they seem unhappy...Boy they sure work hard to make me unhappy
rude and unhelpful staff
At the CVS pharmacy in Bloomington Indiana on walnut, or college by campus I have repeatedly had very poor encounters with the staff. I am not sure if they are underpaid, overworked or under-qualified but enough is enough. I have taken friends in CVS on two separate occasions because they had issues that they were embarrassed about. The most recent instance was a friend of mine who was dating a male that could not fit into normal condoms, so when I asked for some guidance the CVS pharmacists just laughed and left. When I called him back and tried to explain that it was an honest question he told me to just read the boxes.
The boxes themselves are very unhelpful when it comes to giving actual dimensions, so I asked him again for any guidance and he said he didn’t have time go away. My friend was already embarrassed to come in, and when it comes to something as important as safe sex I feel that the staff should act much more professionally than they did.
Is this for real? I don't care who or how professional a person is...this is funny. I worked in a doctor's office, pharmacy, hospital and retail pharmacy and if anyone was asked this question, it would humorous and talked about for years to come. Give me a break!
scam
I feel like i have been recently cheated by CVS Caremark . I had ordered a 90 day refill for a allergy medication - XYZAL - as a mail order for my wife. As she had side effects from Allegra and OTC medications we had to order prescription medicine. I received the medication on 04/06/2010 and then got a invoice on 05/25/2010 for 200$. On calling CVS Caremark...
