repossession at 14 days past due
I purchased a car from Drivetime on 11/06/2018. I attempted to make my first augment on 12/05/2018 using a bank account. As i learned on 12/18/2018 I unattentionally entered the incorrect account number with a typo error. My car was repossessed from my place of employment 14 days after the initial due date. Once I identified that the car was repossessed I contacted Bridgectest to inquire about the reason for the repossession. It was at this time that i learned that the payment was not processed and the rejection code they received advised that the account number could not be found.
After contacting my financial institution I learned the routing information is for incoming transactions not valid for payments. I made another call to bridge crest and asked for any option to bring the account current explaining the situation Art was not only insensitive but demeaning and condescending telling me several times that "I" entered the incorrect information. Well genus that was never the agreement. The request is to help me rectify the issue as they stated that they attempted to contact me several times once on my cell phone and twice in my work phone 4 days prior. As i was out of work and i get 20 calls a day about warranties my daughter advised wrong number. I received 20 emails for everything but the returned payment or delinquent notice on 2 different emails from Bridgecrest. Mind you they claimed they sent me an email on 12/08/2028 but per Sidney the manger on duty they are unable to resend the email because it was an auto reply ( 3 days) after the payment attempt.
Additionally i called Bridgectest for s separate issue on 12/7 and while speaking with Mayra P. The receipt of my payment was confirmed but never was it addressedwith the gentleman that transferred me to her or by Mayra that there was an issue with my payment.
I have NEVER heard of repossession at 14 days of delinquency
warranty info and sold me a lemon
Hi, I bought a car from Drivetime about 2 years ago. I have had nothing but problems with my car since I bought it from them, from my battery being changed out 3 times, my fuel injector had to be replaced, and now my alternator is what is wrong which is what's draining my battery. I have spent thousands of dollars on my car since I bought it Drivetime.

I try to keep up with my balance on my account. Of course I'm paying a high interest rate. I had called the company a couple of months ago and my balance was around $4000. When I checked again last month my balance had gone up to over $5000. It's bad enough that I'm being penalized for things that happened in the past with a high interest rate, but why are they increasing my balance with no explanation. I have insurance and I make my payments on time. This company is scandulous and needs to be stopped. These companies take advantage of people that have had problems in the past without knowing their situation.
Unfair interest rates and adding tonmoney to ones balance.

May we send a copy of this to the person or business you are complaining against? Yes Please explain the entire circumstances surrounding your complaint below:
am writing in regards to owning this lemon of a vehicle for 2 years and 2 months now. I have been paying way over market value and I was promised to be considered for the CHAMP program after 2 years and satisfaction payments made to my account. Well I went in to talk to the office on Saturday 10/3/20105 and was told by the receptionist at the Camelback location that I would have to pay the vehicle down to $5000 to be able to participate. I am current at a payoff amount of $16, 446.75 for a 2005 BMW 325i and this is worth $4000 in Good condition. I am paying over $450.00 a month for this used car. Having numerous issues with the repairs and I have a list of items I have had to fight for since I owned the car. Poor customer service to add on to the dissatisfaction and lurk/bait and lye sales tactics. I have spoken to numerous managers from the beginning, Josh, Marco and the regional office. I have now spoken to someone because I went months trying to get a bill date change and it took me 2 or 3 months to get this rectified. However I want to return the car and this payment reduced to the market value and whipped off of my financial obligations. There were too many promises made that have not been fulfilled and I am being charge 400% of what the car is worth. This is ridiculous. I am not happy with my purchase and the way I have been treated and I am not making any leeway of ever getting the balance down. This is a scam to get people to purchase a car and I needed reliable transportation. I have a list of recent bills and also previous emails that I can print off and send to you that I have been trying for months and years to rectify this situation. Now its just overwhelming and exhausting. I felt so betrayed from Saturday until now.
Desired Resolution: Refund
Desired Outcome
I would like to voluntarily like to return this used car and my refund provided back on my payments and provided a letter of forgiveness of the over charge of the car I signed and the debt whipped clear of the purchasing charges. I want the resolution so that I can purchase a car out right instead of being changed this 400% for a used car that I will never get any repairs done because they refuse to pay for and poor service.
Have you complained to the firm/agency/business? Yes What was their response? I kept being referred to different managers or I was provided a number to like a manager named Frank in Texas that never answered his phone nor returned my phone messages I left his number is [protected] and I have spoken with a Alejandro Macias, Joshua Maenza, Marko vlaicevic to name a few that I have reached out since I purchased this car.

company/sales/product/service
Hello,
I am a Nursing Grad whom at this time makes very little money and put my trust In Drive Time. They lied to me on all aspects and has sold me a vehicle that was rated as no accidents. I was told after an inspection for service that in fact the vehicle had most likely been in an accident.
The contact was also a scam as I requested to pay Monthly only for Drive Time to repo the vehicle and stated that they expect me to pay every two weeks. They also stated a $6000 Chrysler 200 which I have from Drive Time due to me going to retrieve his vehicle from the repo yard is costing me $22, 000 still a year later and after a years payment of the $410 monthly has not went towards the principle of the loan to date.
Drive Time has been charging me $10.03 daily interest which is now $2100 in back fees for a year. It gets better, However, I would and will hold out on the rest until JUDGEMENT DAY FOR US ALL IN COURT.
Sincerely & Professionally,
Larry Walker

upside down loan
I purchased a 2011 as Hyundai Sonata from Drive Time in 2016. I own $13, 000 on a car that is worth $3400 at best. I have paid in advance and paid the full amount of $450 per month each month. They charge me $8.45 per day due to them collecting 2 payments per month I have called multiple times about making the payment one for $450 becuase of how I get paid. They have not helped at all.
I Live in Wilmington NC and was Mandatory evacuated due to Hurricane Florence. I was not able to work from the 12th of September- 1st of Oct. Bridgecrest called me Multiple times harassing me to pay the payments or have my vehicle repoed.
2015 jeep patriot
I am contacting the attorney general's office Monday for price gouging. All other customers should also do so. I tried to trade my 2015 Jeep Patriot in and I can not get a trade or anyone to refinance it because Drivetime/Bridgecrest is charging me almost 3 times what the car is worth. I also had to put down 1575. I owe over 18, 000 on a car that is worth 7000. I feel so ripped off. They alsp have me paying 222 every 2 weeks. Its a big rip off.
car
I bought a 2013 Nissan Altima From drivetime 1week later the check engine light came on I took it to a repair shop with they informed me that it needed a software update which could only be done at a Nissan dealership where I took the carAnd also had done the two recalls which were hood latch and passenger airbag.1 week later the car is running funny so I take it to a repair shop they look at the car and informed me that it needed a new transmission. The repair shop had the car for three weeks one and a half weeks was waiting for the warranty company to send them the transmission and once they got the transmission in the system needed a transmission update I finally picked up the car 1 week later the car wouldn't start it wouldn't take a jump nothing had to have it towed to a repair shop they informed me that something may have been draining the battery so they remove the battery charge the battery overnight the next Day put the battery in the car is now working I just hope and pray that I don't have anymore problems with this car that I've only had for 2 1/2 months .(remember I said it was in the shop for 3weeks well they were only willing to give me a rental car for 5 days that I have to pay for then get reimbursed inconvenience).
financial services
My complaint is drive Time post fake balances and begging balances on your credit report.. And pay schedules are listed at monthly when my pay schedule is Bi weekly.. My biggest concern is drive time is an buy here pay here company .. Now they act as if you get a loan for the vehicle and that's not true in anyway.. So your paying an ungodly amount of interest on a loan that doesn't exist.. So you buy a car worth 6 or 7000.00 and with intrest you end up paying 29, 000 for a car worth way less. This has to be illegal in many ways.. I have reported them to the government and they haven't done anything.. This company needs investigating deeply ..
lemon, repo, recalls, false signature
Well they too advantage of the fact it was my first time buying a car? And my credit wasn't great but after going to real dealerships they all told me iv been had the car was over priced, the apr was way too high even with my credit. I could of got a pretty much brand new car with what I'm paying monthly. They also sold me a car with recalls that cause me to almost lose my life and alot of money. They repo my car even when I told them and had proof I was in the hospital then on bed rest for a month. If tried to even return the car they told me in screwed either way. Id still have to pay them back the remaining balance.
also known as bridgecrest
I was approved for financing through drivetime I was really excited to get this 2008 infinity ex35 nice, the problem was my payments were bi weekly and I got paid semi monthly I kept asking them to change the payment date so my payments don't fall behind but they wouldn't they are going off a payment schedule I no longer had which put me in a bind so they repo my car I got it back but they said my payments would be monthly now I was fine with I thought but they are not even paying the past due which I don't understand how I still have a past due when I paid them 1700 to get it back and my payments I made 3 payments combined was 1500, there only applying money to the loan so my pay due still there they just don't hold it against as long as you agree to pay on time, I made a half payment they took my car the next day I was pissed like really I had to call off unable to get to work and they just be like you can get it back there going off of a verbal contract not the original contract which I'm confused how they can do that isn't that illegal my credit is not the best but you just paying to rent a car because you never own it I want to take legal action against them as well
sold me a lemon 🍋
I bought a 2011 Ford Fusion back in 2017 and from the day I got it everything was just falling apart. It started with the battery in the car, then I found out that It was programmed so if I did anything above 60 it will ding and my music wouldn't go loud as well. I called them and ask for a key and he said I had to buy one from the ford dealership. After a day I got it I started noticing that the door panel was a bit wobbly. So a couple of months later I was getting out of my car and the whole door panel just came off ( really embarrassing). Then Bridgecrest harassed me for $2.00 damnn dolllars. Calling me and my co signer back to back. I am all in for THIS LAW SUIT! [protected]@gmail.com
I Bought a Kia and the engine insurance and Now 2months after I got it won't start the powertrain control module is shot and the parts are back-ordered what can I do I don't want the car anymore and it's crap I the door handle came off and things are falling apart on it.
fraud
In February of 2016, I purchased a 2010 Ford Flex from DriveTime. I had less than perfect credit and needed something reliable/larger for my family and would also be driving to and from work (at the time less than 10 miles round trip). 3 weeks after I had the car, my husband and I noticed hail damage to the hood and the roof of the car. At this time I should mention that 1)I kept the car in a covered carport until it left my property and 2)when I was being sold the car, they got it into their lot (it had to come from another DriveTime), and I wasn't allowed to test drive it/see it until they "cleaned it up", which lead to us looking at it in not the best lighting due to it getting late (that was our fault). Anyhow, I shrugged off the damage because I fell in love with my car, and at the time, I didn't think my payments were bad ($235 bi-weekly.). Fast forward several months and I start falling behind on my payment (my husband lost his job, and I'm sorry, but making sure my kids have water/power/food comes before a car payment). I call Bridgecrest (who took over for DT Acceptance Group), explain the situation, and they are very kind and help me to eventually get caught up. I still love my car, no problems, no accidents, no nothing. Life is grand. Fast forward several months later again, and I change jobs (long story short, I was going to be laid off, and I have a family to help provide for. I moved on so I can continue to provide). Again, I call Bridgecrest and they again help me to get caught up. I started my new job January of 2018. As time progressed, I realize that I cannot keep up with these payments and I truly do not have any other way around it but to voluntarily surrender my 2010 Ford Flex. I began my process by first seeing if I could just trade in the Flex because I knew either way that I would be upside down. I take it to a car lot and they only appraise the Flex at $3000! WHAT?! HOW?! They explain to me that there has been hail damage (which we knew) passenger side quarter panel damage, as well as some more damage down the passenger side. I ask the person to explain it to me, and apparently my Flex had been in an accident at some point. I know I haven't been in an accident, so by this point I'm furious. I've already paid more on it than what it's actually worth! I call Bridgecrest and let them know that I want to surrender the car. They try to help me figure out another way around it, but there is just nothing that will help. We get it arranged to be picked up and they pick it up that day. About a week or so later, I get a call from my insurance company. They proceed to ask me questions and tell me about DriveTime calling and filing a claim against me for "hood and roof damage, passenger side quarter panel damage, dent in passenger door, among other things...". Again, "WHAT?!" I explain to my insurance company that I knew about the hail damage about 3 weeks after I got the Flex, that it was there when we bought it (yet we were never told about it. Looking back, seems like the salesman was being a bit shady taking so long with everything, so...). I then proceed to explain to my insurance company that the Flex stayed covered until the day I had them pick it up, and there was no damage to the passenger side that I knew about whatsoever when the Flex left my property (I had them to come pick it up). My insurance company made note of all of this. Now, I'm just waiting to see what else DriveTime can come up with.
car purchase
I purchased a Nissan Sentra 2014 last year December 2017. I purchase this car in hopes to build my credit up but instead its turned out to be a nightmare. My car starting acting up on me in May 2018- five months after buying this car with only 82, 000 miles on it
Fast forward my car now need a new transmission. DriveTime sold me a car with a bad transmission. I took this car to SILVER Rock, some company they used- the day after I bought this car because as I drove off the lot, the car was making sounds. Silver Rock told me the car was fine.
I tried calling them back- letting them know I was having transmission pronlems- they shoved me off and told me it was my problem now. The car was As Is! This was clearly a lemon sold to me!
Not only do I want to sue their [censored] but I want to include the Lein Holder as well.
I've talk with Drive Time and Bridgcrest- both companies have ignored my plea for help! But yet instead they are inspecting me to pay monthly on a car I cant drive. I called them last Monday and asked to to pick the car up. I'm not able to pay for a transmission and s car payment. It now has been over a week now and the car is still outside my house. The car is dangerous to drive. It only goes 20 miles per hr. Oh i forgot this last bit here, they called me today saying that my payment was now late. Im like ma'am, i call you a week ago and ask you guys to pick up the vehicle. She then says- oh yea, the repo guy will be out to get it.
What She thought was I had changed my mine. Nope, come pick up this garbage you sold me. DriveTime knew the transmission was bad but they were banking om me getting iy fixed. No, not in this lifetime! Now before it goes on Auction for sale- they have yo fix it. You cost me money Drive Time- now you deal with it! They are a very deceitful company and that's putting it lightly.
Unable to edit my complaint. Few mispelled words. I meant expecting, and another error word (to)
car rusted out.
Making payments on a 2010 subaru legacy to find out the under carriage is all rusted out and I had to drop 2100 to repair the back axel. Now the front axel and and muffler is falling apart and I have had the car under 12 months. It seems I was told they do an inspection and test of the vehicle before selling it but a rusted out under carriage would make a vehicle unsafe to drive.
2009 mitsubishi galant
There's no use of complaining unless something is really going to get done. I got my car July 14, 2015 and they have changed financing companies like 2 or 3 times. and I have never missed a payment. EVER! I've already paid them $15, 698.00 called to get my payments lowered like they said and they wouldn't even do it. Told me to refinance my car but I can't do it with them or drivetime... WHAAAT! LUDACRIS! NOBODY IS GOING TO REFINANCE A 2009 VEHICLE ANYWAY.. JESUS TAKE THE WHEEL!
took advantage of single mom paying 422 a month for a car
I recently went to DriveTime as my car was having issues . I bought a car from them . I felt like I was being taken advantage off . I traded my car in they said the trade in was 2700 which I still owed 2100 . That was 600 put down .they asked if I could put any more down abd I said no all I have is 300 to get me through till pay day, we'll they talked me into giving me the 300 which left me broke .i signed my contract in the computer. I received my paperwork and it said that the trade in was 3300 and I was told it was 2700 . Plus I put down the 300 all I had . My credit isn't the best, currently going through a divorce, I'm a single mom paying 206 every 2 weeks for the car. I just felt like I was ripped off . The interest rate is the same price as the car.
2013 ford fusion
Purchased a car 7 months ago from drive time and preparing for it's 4th visit to dealership for repairs. The car makes this noise and they told me that it was the flywheel. Few weeks later, the car is making this same noise and ended up replacing the entire transmission because of a messed up torque converter. Just got it out of the shop in May and it's making the same noise again and were preparing to take it back to the dealership to see what's wrong with it now. Can't afford to pay for repairs and a car note too. Thought by getting a newer model car, 2013 Ford fusion, it would not be this much to operate it. Within 7 months, this has been a total inconvenience and complete disaster. My son is the the military and he has to fight for his country and fight to keep this car running as well. It's ridiculous. This car IS a LEMON. What process must be started to initiate legal proceedings?
overpaying for a vehicle that I was forced to keep
I have had major problems with this company. I bought a chevy equinox and when I was close to paying it off I went back to them because I had serious problems with the vehicle. They traded it in for a chevy impala and told me I had 72 hours to decide if I want to keep it. Well I took it back the next day and told them I rather keep the equinox pay it off and have it fixed since I was about done paying for it. I was told if I didn't keep the impala I would have to start over from the beginning paying for the equinox. I signed a contract in which I don't have or ever received a copy of saing the impala would be paid for in 3 years. Now my 3 years is up they have added 10 months to it and had it repossessed and charged me 1400 to get it back. They or trying to charge me 20k for a 3k vehicle. Yes I do want to file a lawsuit against drivetime.
