wrong commitment & billing
I was offered a Post-paid connection from a Executive - Shazib S at my office. I already had a mobile handset - HTC M8. I was offered a plan with mins + data. But never mentioned about any Contract Plan. I was told about given 10GB data. However, I received the Plan activation as SMS stating 1 GB only. Now I moved to Etisalat for better plan. But i am charged of 500 AED for migrating during contract period. i was told coz i opted for 10GB data plan, its a contract plan. But I was not told by the executive that it was a contract plan neither go the 10 GB plan as they mentioned. The SMS proof was shown to the help desk lady at Deira City Center on 25th March while loggin the complaint. I am been forced to pay the amount for what wasn't promised to me nor availed for. SO requesting someone to check and help me urgently. Orelse my Etisalat connection would get barred.
fake delivery promise
Don't trust DU for their delivery, they told me they had sent for delivery of my PREORDERED IPHONE 6 to Aramax few days back and I checked with Aramax with my given number and they said they have not received anything at all. DU just wants to be out there to show off but really they are full of it just like their customer service . When you pay cheap you get cheap services ..A clear example ...never use them again.

Good afternoon,
Im writting this email as a sign of absolute discontent and disguss.
I have been a client of DU for almost 2 years, during this time I have aquired data packages and more credit packages.
Now the thing is, I used to charge my phone with 100dirhams of data, being that I mostly used whats up and facebook this would allow me to have internet on my phone for quite some time, being for the effect that I would, every month, purchase 20 dirhams so that the data package deadline would be extendedx for more 30 days.
Now on the 1st of September I charged my phone with 500 dirhams data, and on the 24th I bought 20 dirhams data so that my deadline would be extended.
Now for apparent reason Du decided to change the company policy in regards with extending the data package deadline to avoy situations like this.
As you might now, any company from anywhere in the world, specially when it comes to communications must thereby inform their customers of any change to the company products.
This particular case was not advertised or communicated to the Du customers.
I feel thereby violated and robbed by Du being that I had no knowledge or was there any information on the Du charging cards that anyone can purchase from anywhere about this new change.
I searched the web and the only place where this new change is mentioned is on the Du website.
Therefore as Du customer I feel that Du is obligated to return back either the money that I spent in a product which is falsily advertised.
This situation by itself is in fact suable and therefore I demand that either my money is returned to me or you find a way that I will keep my 25gbs.
I will wait eagerly for a reply to this email. Failure to correct this situation and I will seek judicial council and take matters into my own hands.

charged 50 aed wrongly
I activate the 'Daily Data Bundle' for AED 2.50 per day. This deducts money from 'More Time' account and I have been using this for the past three months without any issues. This package gives me 5 mins, 5 sms's and 50 MB data daily.
Yesterday, I did not have sufficient amount and therefore I loaded AED 50 credits and Activated the Daily Data Bundle immediately. By the end of the day, a total of AED 52 was taken from my account without my knowledge.
Calling up the Customer Service, you are obviously greeted very nicely, but when the matter is to understand the problem at hand, the staff are trained to avoid refunds etc. at any cost. At one point in time, my handset (iPhone) was blamed to be the problem that used the data package. I was told that the charges should be accepted by me as it was my phone that was using a different data 'session' and not the Daily Data Bundle that was activated.
Obviously, it is shamelful that I had to go through such charges and there is no way to verify this on either side. There are no terms and conditions, there is no written fact explaining this technical BS about data sessions.
I would request the telecom operator to bring this issue to closure and refund my money or compensate me ASAP.
The amount has now been reversed. The complete issue from start to finish was well under 48 hours too which is according to international standards. Thanks and regards AP

I can't believe DU is doing this to me when I am paying over 500 Dirhams monthly on personal & business lines!! No matter how much I complained no body seems to care or reply my emails, I keep getting emails from collection department & now Tasheel are calling me over an agent's mistake that was worth AED200! I won't pay the amount just because nobody cares to understand the situation!

Du is really stupid and I never saw anybody stupid then this. I had more credit of AED 200 above on my mobile and they pass a plan on 27th june that from 28th june that we can only transfer from more time. But due to other sms of du like bollywood, offer, cricket I overlooked the sms, but now when i went to transfer the money they say I have to use it for calling and sms within 57 days whereas I go to my country for two months vacation. they are not ready to transfer on more time. They did not even have the courtesy to sending a reminder. I du is cheating his customers as they know customers in dubai don't have time to go thorough the sms they send.
I plead du not to cheat the customers. If you want to increase the business increasing nicely and in a proper way and not cheating the customers.
Du cheating with customers, they give free SIM cards but after that charging money, if we want to cancel the SIM ( even with packing) need to pay 200 AED

Beware of DU! they are simply stealing money from customers! a had an internet line in my appartment with DU, and one day I got a bill for 1500 aed out of nowhere. When I cam to their office they told me that I had requested to increase my internet capacity...that's why the charge changed. I claimed I never called them and requested for anything! However, they were pressing on me that they have a request registered in their computer system... I was fighting with them for a few months but couldn't prove anything and had to pay the outstanding balance of 3000 aed!...it's just a one example...I can go on...simply saying, the company who is just stealing money from custormers is DU!

unprofessional service done by du telecom uae
I would like to bring into your attention the most unprofessional service done by Du Telecom UAE. I had subscribed to a du post-paid account, which was registered along with the purchase of an Apple IPhone product 2years back which has a monthly rental of AED 200 per month. I had used this service all these two years without any failure for the bill payments. One week back I was informed by advertising that there was an option to purchase a new Apple IPhone product with the same number by paying AED 799/- and continuing the same monthly rental for another 24 month contract. I was asked to change the SIM card as the new product supports only Nano SIM card and hence the old SIM card was deactivated. From that moment until now, that is almost 5 days my new SIM is not activated. I had registered a complaint very next day with the Du customer service for which I received a huge apology and was explained that it was due to some mistake during the activation. I have made more than 20 follow up calls for the last 4 days for which the most unprofessional explanation from the helpdesk was that they are just answering to the complaints and no action could be done from their side.
I have been out of contact for last 5 days now and it was really difficult as I had several travels during these days. Kindly take up this matter as one of your subject and take proper action against the service provider.
credit deduction
This is so irritating. My credit always gets deducted. I use a blackberry curve 9360. I keep my data service and wifi off still it goes... How?! I have called them a 1000 times and all they say is some lame excuses. None of us get free money to put credit. For me, even a.25 fils is valuable. I don't like to waste. It just gets deducted from 20 to 17, from 7 to 5, from 1.48 to 1.24 and so on...
I need a solution for this.
Agree, have had this problem. Complained many times, happened again today; switching service provider is the only solution. DU has a problem.

I have a DU sim bearing [protected] and was surprised to see a call charge of 9 AED for a local call of 30 seconds. Immediately calling the customer care and was just to know that i have used a mobile data which has costed 6.5 AED and a call at 8:19 pm of 63 Fills. Surprisingly, i just reached my home at that time, have used wifi which is etisalat network, and never made a call to any. The amount i lost was just negligeble, but the faith...is totally lost on their mechanism. Attached is my data usage in my mobile.

TRA of uae is performing at it worst, so many are facing problems. DU servers are down 364 days in a year and their billing system is one of the worst in the world. One of the worst call centers in the world, no one will be able to solve any issues.

As an ordinary residents people are suffering in the hands of service providers like DU and Etisalt, TRA should alter the guidlines to safeguard the endusers and insist to provide the right service to the endusers, instead of making their life difficult. There seem to be basic fault in their billing issue which has to be rectified and they have been given sufficent time to rectify it, yet customers are facing problem which is in no way acceptable, better change or dont do the business which troubles the end users.
worst service
Actually I dunno from where to start. Unfortunately I am a Du customer since 2009 after being a satisfied customer with Etisalat. Currently I have 2 elite mobile lines, 16MB Home Internet, landline phone and 2 TVs with OSN connection from Du. Accordingly, and since I always pay before time I was nominated as a privilege customer through there loyalty program. On 31 Dec 2012 my Tv service stopped out of a sudden, imagine it was new year eve, to be spent with the entire family at home expecting to watch TV...Due to Du, it was the worst night ever for sure and as usual...I logged. Y complaint on the Same day and Imagine that I was promised to be contacted within 48 HOURS... Today is already 2 Jan 2013, and within the past 2 days I have calling Du about 2 times per day to remind them that somebody is supposed to call me to solve the problem... and Hurrayyyy I just knew from the call center age t when I called, that the problem is across Dubai and same for other Du TV customers ( as if I should be relieved), more over DU CRM was under upgrade and it will take at least 2 hours to be operational (the upgrade is done at About 4 pm, which is never supposed to be conducted at this time, always IT applications should be upgraded during low operation time). And the worst was, the. During my last call with the call center agent, I was hearing the staff applauding as if they were cutting a cake without even caring about the suffer of their customers ;) Ahhh, forgot to mention that I am still paying for this faulty service for the past 2 days...Till now nobody called from Dy technical support and I dunno when to expect it... I believe the best way, is to switch again my mobile lines to Etisalat, I will get data package as well for my iPad to surf Internet at home and as for the TV I will have a direct contract with OsN rather than having it through Du... Keep it Du!

I purchased galaxy note 2 from your shop at gitex on oct 5th and the offers was 1gb internet for 12 months, 1 usb netsetter free along with 3 months data package, 200aed du recharge voucher, 150aed du bill pay voucher, 1 smasung cheap mobile worth 100 aed and 200 aed joy alukkas voucher. when I got my mobile activated they are telling there is only 3 months data for my mobile and no data offers for the usb. what kind of cheating is this? you were displaying as buy for 2699 and get offers worth 2399. i want to know whats the issue you cheaters.

I am facing problem from last 1 month every time I recharge they deduct my balance, and when I call them they tell the server is down and no one is answering my question why it is happening... I wa having around 200 dhs deduct it... I complained more then 30 times every time they tell there is some problem. any package without internet will be a great solution for DU, since their billiing system is one of the WORST IN THE WORLD, atleast the customer will not endup calling their call centre (useless staff) since their application or technical problem most of the time they will not be able to answer) so calling them is of no use. Du behaves as if we are living in 17th century, third grade service and lots of basic problem in setting up business. End users are suffering for the ineffiency of du management. Hope they will grow in the right field so that the end users are not victimised.

This company clearly has a problem with its mobile and data services. I have complained several times with regard to my account balance Data & Call credit being zeroed shortly after applying credit. This has now happened today being the second occasion; customer service response is poor. They do not refund the credit and actually tell me its my fault. I have phone and data acounts in several countries and like to think I know how to manage my phone usage re wifi/data via GSM. Never had this problem elsewhere. Switching service provider is the final solution.

They have been charging me 25dhs every month for a mobile line that was blocked since 2010, i paid my full and final settlement last Oct 2012 And just as 2013 is starting they started to charged me again 25dhs every month, I thought it is already closed after paying the whole amount now im so frustrated of they are doing their business, they are charging anybody for nothing... I too did that and then he told that I should buy Du recharge for 1000DHs and give him the details. I called du customer care and checked and found out it is fraud. So ppl be very careful. These guys have already done this with lot of Etisalat customer and in the net when we search "Du Lottery fruad", no pages are found, but when we search "Etisalat Lottery Fraud ". There are so many pages and posts. Hence I am posting this, so that all Du customers will be alert.

fantastic, i am not the only one, the only difference is my lottery is bigger than most of you its 500000 and some bugger started talking in Urdu thinking that i would be trapped.. call was from [protected].. blackberry not working
The past 4 days i havent been able to send or receive any blackberry messages, i did call du and logged a call with their customer care regarding this issue. I now have heard 6 different stories of why my bbm is not working. 1 no megabytes on the phone, technical bb isues. Problematic phone(So i bought a new one) no credit on my phone ect. Everytime a different story. That not even the worst part, i went into the du store at ibn battuta mall and the consultant told me to take my new blackberry to sharaf dg. Ive been informed on more then one ocasions the exact time when this issues will be sorted out but up untill now i can still not comunicate to my friends and family, no one has called me back or have been able to give me the exact details of why this is happening. The most popular answer amongst the du staff is "wait a short while" i dont think in any part of the world 4 days is a short while to wait. Is there anyone out there that care about this issue that i am having! Because im beginning to think that this network doesnt care about their clients? I even spoke with a manager and was also promised to be called back the following morning, the only reason why i do not take this du sim out of my phone and throw it in the trash is because i already printed by bussines cards! Hey same problem with me...since last 3-4 months the whenever m sending message to activate my bb social plan m getting reply that "sorry! We have already recieved your Blackberry social deactivation request .you will receive your deactivation sms soo. you can only activate your service once the deactivation sms has been recieved" . For this matter number of times i have contacted customer care and everytime they raised my complaints and said that i will get call from technical team. But i didn't receive any calls. But got the message that my prpoblem has been resolved. But when i checked the same problem persists. Then again i contacted customer service. but every time m raising complaints...they are closing it unecessarily with the message that my problem has been resolved. After 4 months i had no other option i switched to Etisalat. But really i had hard time with DU...Really the poor service.. m using the du sim till now as i hv given my relatives the same no. ...Still m having hope that some day i can use the no. again. raised a complaint again. M really f**** up with du. The most unreliable network in the universe.

I have DU data card no ;[protected] I bought theat on 1st January 2011, , withe 180DHM package 10 GB data per monthe... I recharged theat twice till 6the of January & I got 20GB in my account which i can access & I did theat .. On thee date of 15the Jan I recharged withe 200 DHM again to get 10GB data in my account which I didn't got theat day I called DU customer care regarding theis issue theey guided me ...actually that was misguided started by theem to me.. After recharging withe 200DHM theey said theat it would take 2 hrs time to activate thee data bundle package so plz don't worry ..after waiting for 3 hours when notheing happened again I called theey again misguided me to recharge withe 160 DHM again theen thee total would be 360DHM I did theat too after doing theat also I haven't got theat 10GB data in my account, , They have ate my money theey cheated me theey misguided me & theey wasted my 5 days & my 360DHM has been blocked..After made several complaints theey advice me to for time being & urgency matter I can go to theeir website & recharge withe 200DHM & use 2 GB data I did theat theey later on refund me .. Now theey are refusing me to give me 10 GB & misguided me & saying theat They will not give any money & data, Do whatever I ca do to theem. This is Dubai no one can do anytheing to us.. I request to thee UAE autheority to take thee legal action against theem & give me thee appropriate compensation.. still in my account u can see 360DHM... During theis period I spoke withe RUPA (Supervisor), , ESHA (SUPERVISOR), RAJESH SINGH (MANAGER), , & 7 tele executive.. I believe DUBAI is not corrupt & take thee legal actions against DU to give me refund & some compensation..

When I purchase a iPhone from du I subscribe a data facility which is coast me AED 50 and they gave me 1GB Data and they said that if I spend AED 100 for calling next month I will get 1GB Data, I was using the data while they deduct from my account AED 123 for DATA usage when I call customer care they said you are entitled for 1GB Free Data but it's not updated in the system that's way they deducted
Updating is not customer job it's there system for that I have to pay 12 mb data usage AED 123 when it was ETISALAT only in UAE we think that they pick pocketing but du is real thief or smugglers there is no consumer court also in UAE what do ?

wrongly billed
I have migrated of my du lines from prepaid to post paid ELITE 100 plan and opted 1GB data bundle of which payment will be 125 extra.As agreed it was activated few hours later so i started using as normal, few days passed while checking the amount was high while enquiring iwas told that is just unbilled nothing to worry and wait till billing date.Comes a billing date the amount was unbelievable, then i came to know the 1GB bundle for internet was not activated so i was using internet for a whole month and getting charge reason is the Du AGENT did not activate the data bundle i logged a complain from 2nd December untill now its has not been resolve and the service is suspended, the worst part is i have send emails to customer service but all replies are hopeless and thier customer service can do nothing apart from registering complains which registered at least 7 of them and so far nothing has happened.If there is anyone knows a way to solve this please do let me know.Thanks
