they sent me shoes there wasn't the right size and then they told me that they would send me some more shoes if I wrote a good review for them so I screen shot it all the messages from them that they sent me for like 2 months they meant telling me they was going send me some shoes then they sent some shoes and told me a number there wasn't my number in DHL said that that was not my number so all along they been lying to me telling me they sent me some more shoes out for 2 months to keep me quiet which they really didn't and I spent a 150 dollars with them that I am out of and I bought to try to find a way that I could sue them

So many times I tried to contact the seller regarding my order delivery. But once she got the money she disappeared. The customer service is absolutely useless and I tried to figure out with help of my bank. They are still working on this matter. But I would like to warn you and ask you to be very careful before choosing the seller. Most of them aren't checked and the eCrater provides no protection fro both sides. So you'll be on your own there...
not worth dealing
I regret I ordered from them. Absolutely not worth dealing with this store. I bought an item and the seller forgot to mention they are not from the US, so it meant that for me the shipping was not for free. I didn't know it. And simply ordered. And several days ago after they sent me a notification with information about my shipping I found out that the seller is not from the US, they are from China, and I don't know when I will receive my order that's actually a gift and it's important to me to get it on time. Well, the seller is silent, I can reach them out and have no idea where my order is and when it will arrive. Never again I will shop here.
regarding their website
I regret I messed with them. I ordered an item from a seller who didn't say they were not from the US because in this case, you'd have to pay for delivery, though it's free within the United States. So that's what I had to do. It was important to get it on time, but a little later I found out that this item was shipped from Malaysia and it would take it forever to come. So I had to order the same from another store.
But I think that the information about sellers should be mentioned to avoid misunderstanding.

If you see this come up do not buy from it & do not buy through ecrater there a bunch of cabbages, they can`t sort nothing out & never intend to do so.As someone has already said on this forum they pass the buck to paypal(which i don`t & will not deal with)there`s no third parties with me, no way.Then they said if i`m not with paypal to sort it out with my bank, what a load of ###.Ecrater needs to cease to exist & the sooner the better!
Paid a month ago and still waiting
Ordered an item on 10th Nov 2016 and still waiting for the delivery. Written few emails to the supplier but no response. After emaili g ecrater couple of times got an answer that I should raise a dispute with the bank to create a pressure on supplier. Funny that ecrater will not be able to take any action in this matter. Seems like a fraud platform so will suggest to stay miles away...
Rude Abusive Communication
Copies of emails available upon request. On /2/15 I submitted a counter-offer to Get-Wired for some Coke Rewards points. In my email I explained why I was offering a lower amount than the list price and asked if that was an acceptable offer. My email was polite and explained that the Coke Rewards website lists the value of each point as $.03. In response, I received a tirade from the seller calling me names and venting his unhappiness with "people" in the US. I responded again with the way I arrived at my offer. Yet again, I received another email calling me a liar, accusing me to trying to control him with my offer (just how is that even possible?), and telling me how I should be raising my children. There is no place on the selling site to actually complain about a seller OR transaction, so I guess they don't really care that potential customers are being verbally abused by some of their sellers. I can assure anyone reading this I will NEVER buy anything from eCrater because they clearly don't care about customer experience or there would at least be a "customer service" button or email address. This seller is to be avoided, unless you happen to like abusive emails that have no basis in reality.

I've made two purchases on eCrater and BOTH of them were scams. eCrater doesn't do a single thing to prevent these kinds of transactions. Furthermore, eCrater will leave it to you to pursue a refund through Paypal.
Sellers love eCrater because there are no listing fees and no commissions, however, scammers love eCrater for the very same reason. It makes pulling their scams, just that much cheaper.
Buyers beware. NO ONE has your back if you're shopping at eCrater.
i ordered 2 laptops from mikesshop on ecrater and have not recived them and when i contacted ecrater they just tell me to keep trying to send mikeshop emails and i have done that many times and nothing and they were for my kids christmas...
BEWARE - inferior content
Lisa Arends is a rude, arrogant, and extremely unprofessional person. The study guides are inferior and awful. The stuff that is original (not much is 'original') is almost impossible to read for the misspellings and grammar. How can this person teach when she can't even use spellcheck? She says the material is copyrighted, but most of it is not her work or she covers the copyright with her own. She also states that the material is updated every year, but the dates are all 2005. I wonder if the college she teaches at knows how dishonest she is? When asked a question she pretty much told me I was stupid instead of answering my question - is this how she treats students?. Refused to refund for this inferior product. There are much better and more current products out there - if your going to spend the money, spend it on something else.

Sarah because you are angry is no reason to slander me on a public board. I recall our interactions and I was not rude, I was honest. My guides are up to date, holding an original copyright of 2005 and are currently copyrighted in 2013. I teach for an excellent private college in MN and have had the pleasure of teaching students who have completed Excelsior College using my study Guides. Interestingly, these are some of my best students.
I did complete ECs program in less than 6 months, graduating with high honors and have completed my BSN, MSN with honors and am a certified Nurse educator through the NLN. My credentials, speak for themselves. My content is superior and has helped thousands of students complete the EC program.
As I recall, you did return and purchase additional guides. Yet left your negative comment online. I am disappointed.

No consumer protection and customer service
Do not buy from ecrater.com, you have no consumer protection there, you are at the will of the seller. If the seller wants to take your money and provide you nothing in return, ecrater will not only do nothing, they will ignore your pleas completely!
I tried to purchase an apple tv from a seller at ecrater and my account was charged for the purchase, nothing was ever shipped, and the seller would not respond to my inquiries. What would ecrater do? Nothing!

I have to disagree with you. Ecrater didn't sell you the item, That particular store did. If you bought a several $100 item from Jim Bobs store without checking them out then shame on you. Use common sense people.
I will certainly never buy anything on the site again
This is certainly a "sellers' website" as many reviews state. It is, however, not at all a buyers' website. All the freedoms that sellers rave about create nightmares for buyers. I purchased a $200 item, used paypal, and never got a response from seller. No invoice, no response to emails, nothing. After I waited the 14 days, as required by ecrater, I filed a complaint with ecrater, but not until after I filed a complaint with paypal. I included a comment in my email to ecrater that I had submitted a claim to paypal already, but wanted to know what ecrater would do.
The response? "Unfortunately, the merchant's store is inactive and pending review. Please visit the PayPal Resolution Center in order to file a dispute with PayPal."
So, there may be good stores on ecrater, but there are also flat out scams. How can you ever know which you are buying from? You can't, because you can't even search for a specific buyer on the site. Do yourself a favor, and look elsewhere. I will certainly never buy anything on the site again.
I had this very same problem just happen to me and got the EXACT same response from ecrater! Sounds like they are used to this kind of business. I bought a LCD screen for my phone for 42.99 and waited 17 days. The seller did answer one question for me though the very day I ordered the part.
Today though being the 17th day, I tried to search the product and the seller's store didn't even show up anymore! I have a dispute opened in paypal as well right now. This was my first time trying eCrater and as far as I can tell, they are a joke!
Avoid this company at all costs
We were trying to get some custom wedding favors, and just trying to order samples was confusing, eventually after i managed to figure it out they stopped responding to my emails and as far as i know took my money and never sent me anything.
edit: they finally responded to my email saying they shipped my order on 5/25. i paid for my samples on 5/8 and didn't hear from them until 5/29 about the status (and only after multiple requests for information) if you are in a hurry and/or like to know whats going on with your orders, avoid this company.

Recently purchased a small item ($50) from a seller on eCrater. Received it quickly, but it was the completely wrong item. When I contacted seller about their mistake, they sent this response:
"we are really sorry for the mistake, but you see my store not accept return. so we are have a good idea. Please make the new order with a half of price for the item you need, it is only $20. it is your help to us. - [protected]@yahoo.com (full-world-new store)"
I will never buy anything on eCrater again. Ebay has much more accountability to guarantee that sellers are honest.

eCrater is a website like ebay, but unlike ebay they provide NO guarantee that any of their sellers will actually deliver anything. I ordered an item, and after two weeks, it never arrived. I emailed the seller and there was no reply. I filed a complaint as per their guidelines. eCrater responded and indicated they would take no action at all. They told me to file a complaint with paypal. They have responsibility for the purchases made on their website, otherwise, it is just a fraudulent operation and they pretend they have no responsibility. I will never shop with eCrater again, and I am considering legal action, since they shouldn't be allowed to defraud customers with no consequences. BUYERS BEWARE: eCRATER AND THEIR SELLERS TAKE YOUR MONEY AND DELIVER NOTHING.
I disagree, not every one that owns an ecrater store is dishonest. I know I purchased certain things and I did not have any problems at all. Especially using Paypal. I do understand that things does happen and it should be take care of, especially when paying money. My suggestion to you guys is to always make sure that the person has been upgrading their stores or send them an email address before ordering anything as well. If they do not respond then do not order anything at all. I always look at the bottom of their store online and see what is the last time they upgraded their stores. I hope this will help some how.

You cannot blame ecrater stores are dishonesty. Even though I do understand, I was one of the luck one to receive the products from them and also heard from them. My suggestions to you is to look when was the last time they upgraded anything or send them an email to see if they respond as well. Also if you look at the bottom, where the date is located in the bottom you will see if they are still upgrading any merchandise.

I strongly agree with this person i have had the same troubles with buying things paying for them as earler as one to two weeks before trica even had items to send me and she uses the excuse that the itemes was mailed to a different address then paypal account has my address as 1address and she seems to find the wrong address to send them to only on my high price item orders not on lower price item orders.Buys BEWARE OF theis person and save your money?

This is just my initial impression, as I just made a purchase last night. I paid with PayPal and received the receipt. Later I received an automatic email from the seller and it had a Pay Now link.(If I click there, PayPal tells me I have already paid.

Ecrater is for sellers and from what I've heard in other review sites, they aren't supported by ecrater. You cannot contact them as a seller or buyer and get a response. There is no security that the transaction will take place and nowhere on the site to search for the seller.
Luckily, I've read PayPal has rescued many a bad transaction or non-shipment. I hope I get lucky and get a response from my seller and receive my product. I will not give this a try again. You have to be lucky and pick a legit seller who is on the ball.

I ordered DVDs of TV season from seller huangfengkk99 on ecrater.com on December 18, 2011. Sent email saying if the DVDs were coming from China or were bootlegs then to refund my money. Never received confirmation of shipping. Never received a reply to my email. Never received my DVDs. Seller huangfengkk99 kept my money. Filed complaint with ecrater.com. Their message said to contact seller, which I had done before contacting ecrater. Filed claim with Paypal for refund. They said he is in fact in China. I haven't heard from Paypal since January 1, 2012.
Never recieved product
Purchsed a xbox 360 limited edition MW3 console with 2 controllers, game, 1 month xbox live membership from (upperlevelgaming) through Ecrater.com. SHould have known better than to trust another site other than E-bay. Purchsed console through PayPal and payment was recieved by seller, emailed the next day to seller through ecrater to confirm shipping and payment but recieved no response from seller. This purchse was transacted on or around Dec. 10th 2011. I waited approx. 3 days before contacting seller again, but no response. Logged onto (upperlevelgaming store) through ecrater and the seller no longer exisited...go figure! NO xbox was ever delivered, no communication from seller, money gone.
A word to the wise, do your research when it comes to ecommerce buying, trust in reviews that are posted. Not all stores listed within ecrater are a ripoff, but it would seem that the restrictions, or lack of restrictions for those setting up ecommerce stores with "Ecrater" are few if any.

Most sellers are good
They are like any other internet store except they do not charge anything for selling on there. If the seller takes Paypal a buyer is covered under Paypal. I have a store on there and have not sold much but I am honest as most people are. Etsy is a very good place to buy or sell also as an alternative to E-bay. Yes they may have some people who may scam you on there but E-bay does too! Like several buyers I had when I had a store on E-bay and they took money coming and going from the seller and are very unfair to the sellers as they almost always find in the buyers favor on everything. When they started the buyer protection it left the seller wide open for cases to be opened on them. I know many sellers, like me, who have lost large amounts due to their practices. You very rarely get correct information when you call about anything.
If they close your store for whatever reason they think up, even after you have complied with everything, they cancel orders already mailed and leave you wide open for people who want their item free.
I know this from personal experience.
So as far as internet buying
1) Yes E-bay has a large following
2) They use you until they decide you do not sell enough to their advantage.
3) Etsy is a good place to sell and buy from
4) ecrater is like E-bay was before they got so money hungry

Its been two weeks since I ordered my package. I still haven't got it.
I love ecrater especially for small, novel jewelery, used, vintage and hand made items. It's not different than any other mall type community, check out the sellers feedback or communicate with the seller. Bad apples are everywhere, most sellers are good!
