Edgars Fashion / Edcon poor service

On February 2018 I received account statement, and only to find that I have been charged Vodacom airtime and sms air subscription, which I never asked for and never agreed to, I went to jet mart store near they called the call centre, I spoke to them, and said they will call me back but never did, I went to jet mart again at CBD same procedure, but this time they gave me a reference number [protected] and said they will call but they never did, I call again this time with my own airtime and they said they are offline the lady took my cell phone number andsaid they will send me a reference number as they were offline, but never did. and I have not received any statement sense February, I would like to know because I'm not working anymore who's going to pay for all debt that is going up. My account number is [protected].

I am also having a similar incident whereby i was charged for airtime...i wasn't aware and this has been going on since 2004 till i discover on may 2018. I took the matter to the store, they phoned wherever they have to phone, gave me ref number and promise to revert back to me DOLOLO till this day and they still billing me for that

Edgars Fashion / Edcon customer service for increasing my account limit

Worst worst worst customer service in the world! 1st day went to Edgars Menyln and tried to increase my account limit i was put on hold on the phone for almost an hour. My limit was not increased. I had to come back the next day. Same thing happened. Very very disappointed with the customer services. Its not the first time i was treated poorly by edgars.

Edgars Fashion / Edcon account handed over

In 2015 i applied for an account at Jet stores in King Williams town. It was during the week afternoon when i went Jet stores in King Williams town after receiving an sms notifying me that i qualify for credit at jet.

When i got there one of their staff member assisted me to open an account, i was still an intern back then. After opening this account he then told me that i was given R5000 credit and that i need to spend R1000 right there and then to activate my account. I had to shop there that evening, shop things i dont need just for me activate this account for R1000.

After a month i then went to the store to make my first payment, to my surprise i no longer owe R1000 it was more when i inquired i was told that there were things added, i cancelled some of those things and some they said i cannot cancel some of these things another big blow for me was when i was told that i have opted to pay over 12 months when i made it clear to the gentleman that was assisting me that i want 6 months payment period. I then went to jet stores to change this payment period spent hours on the phone there calling head office that told me that this cannot be changed.

This was the beginning of my death toll. I continued to pay my account the required installment each month aroung R500 or more but i then noticed that this balance is not going down. When i did follow up on this i was told about interest charged on current balance. i did not understand because i pay every month and i pay the required amount. After a year my internship contract was terminated i was then unemployed. I made arrangements of paying atleast R150 a month, the balance got worse it went up every month the difference would be R20 after paying that R150.

Later i was told that my account has been handed over and the balance again when up i ask the lady that i was speaking with why has the balance gone up drastically she told me that legal charges were added, she further explained that no other costs will be added now. We made an arrangement of paying R100 a month i think this was in November last year. I paid November, December and January and i saw the difference i saw my balance going down by that R100 each month and i was happy and satisfied. They sent me a statement end January reflecting my balance as R3900 and i was happy.

February i did not pay because i did not have money i told the lady that phoned me that i was low on funds and that i will pay in March. I kept receiving calls and i kept explaining the same thing over and over. Beginning March i received a phone call from another legal firm not the same one saying that my account has been handed over to them and that my balance was R4500+ i was shocked firstly because this was not same legal firm that called me before and i even shocked by the balance From R3900 to R4500 i told them i was not making any arrangements until my balance is the same balance as the one reflecting on my statement. This was not resolved until this April when they called me saying that the balance is now R4900+ i am very angry i told the lady that i am not making any payment arrangements because i do not agree with the balance. This was last week April 2018

Today 26/04/2018 went to my capitec app to check my credit status i was so shocked and angry at the same time to find out that i am not credit bureau because of this account. I have been paying all my accounts very well this is the only account i had a problem with. I am very mad!

Edgars Fashion / Edcon its been 8 months still no funds being paid out. I phoned old mutual earlier they said they never received my documents.

Ive worked for edcon from 2014 untill 2017. Ive never received any of my funfs being paid out. I did a follow up and i just spoke to old mutual according to them theyve never received any documents of me there is no record what so ever. Its been 8 months now and still no pay out? If you not gonna do something about it im taking this to the next step and trust me you dont want that or your bad companies name dragged through the mutt

Good Morning Sir/Madam

My husband and I have been struggling for almost 3 years now to get a refund back from Edgars to the amount of R367.12. this amount has been going up since we finished paid the account whilst under debt review. We have been to several stores in Cape Town as well and sent e-mails and made several phone calls and still get no joy from Edgars. We have sent them all the required documents which they have requested, both hand delivered and via e-mails. Each time we call the customer services department we speak to a different person who tells us a different story and each time we are informed that the refund will be processed within 21 days! How many 21 days have to pass before they send us the refund? We are tired of being given the run-around. I am so angry right now because I spoken to Ntombenhle, Linda, Thepo and Eleanor in the last 2 weeks only to hear that it will take another 21 days to process and when I asked to speak to the manager; he was conveniently in a meeting. What do I have to do to get this money back. I have sent bank statement, clearance certificate, certified I. D.'s and a request and this was done again on the 11 & 12 April and today is 23 April with still no feedback!

23/04/2018 - I was contacted this morning Via the customer care department with regards to my overdue Edgars account!She was absolutely rude and condesending as I was trying to make sense of the information and had to say to her multiple times that "you are not listening to me" till I eventually put down the phone as I will not be spoken to like that for and outstanding amount of R650, 00 not even thousands of rand? I started a salary based job where I was earning commission before and that is how I missed 2 months payments. In previous years whenever I missed a payment my installment amount would go up and once I paid the higher amount I was then up to date again! I have been harassed by the customer care department for an amount of R750! I then made a payment in January of R400 and my next payment was of R300... that satisfies the outstanding debt! But somehow I am still in arrears to the value of R650?
It does not show on my statement that I am in arrears at all much to what the girl on the phone kept saying! I want proof that I am even in arrears! My mobi account keeps saying that my ID number and birth date are incorrect yet I have had the same details my whole life? so I called in last month and it saying my total amount payable was R212, 00 that is why last month I only paid R200. Edgars need to organise their statements etc so that the amount needed indeed reflects the amount due!

We paid the account in full on 03/03/2018 at the East Rand Mall Branch. Asked the cashier to close the account to which she replied was done and there will be no additional charges. My husband asked her twice and she replied there will be no charges. But then came a statement of R 85. Contacting customer care they say you need to pay before they close it? It was paid!

Then they give a email address ([protected]@edcon.co.za) absolutely no response!

We will not pay that!

Close the account like we requested please!

Edgars Fashion / Edcon online order not delivered but charged for

Hello,
My order [protected]: worth over R2200.00 is missing and no one will help me!
I ordered my 3 face creams and a sportsbra on the 9th of March and it has still not been delivered. Edgars told me to deal with the couriers directly as they have sent it off. I have phoned the courier company Fast and Furious and they say they'll phone me back which they never do. I just don't know what to do anymore as Edgars tells me it's with the couriers but the couriers don't get back to me. How am I supposed to get my parcel out of them? Surely Edgars can demand something from their side?
I wish I had rather just bought instore. The face creams were especially urgent but its been 21 days now and I cannot track down where my parcel is and why it's not being delivered and no one answers my emails or calls me back.

Edgars Fashion / Edcon stone harbour shoe

I've purchased a stone harbour shoe about a month ago for my dad and it already started to open...
The quality of the stone harbour range has dropped drastically and it's totally disappointing to know how the price has shot up and the quality has dropped...
My dad has been using stone harbour for year and over the years the quality has become disgusting..
I would like for the company to do something asap about it and please do get back to me thanx.

Good day

I have been retrenched last year October.
I have paid my account monthly untill desember where i found out i have been paying for the claim incase of retrenchment.
In January i sent in Papers they have listed for me to send in stating the claim will take 3 months. February i went back to follow up and they havent sent the papers at all which they have clearly stated they sent it in then. After the 3 months i went back to follow up if it has been sorted as i get phone calls for account in arrears which i will not pay because i paid for cover. After the 3 months i had to find out now i need more papers that suddenly no one was aware about and i had to smell this because no one informed me! it took me two weeks to get those extra papers. After sending that in i got an sms from hollard stating that a consultant will contact me and after this whole 4month procedure i am still waiting for a consultant to phone me and I am still receiving calls for an arreared account which tells me they have not yet sorted my account i am higly UPSET and want this matter solves ASAP so i can close my account as i have had enough of people in this whole process not doing their work but they are very quick to take your money!

Edgars Fashion / Edcon not receiving refund from edgars

I am under debt review and since January my debt review company has been trying to get the overpaid money refunded back to me.

On the 9th of February they told us that the refund will be done on the 9th of March. It is the 26th of March and no one is even responding to emails. I have personally sent an email to [protected]@edcon.co.za with not so much as a confirmation of receiving the email. To phone doesn't help because the phone just rings and if someone does answer the usual answer is they don't know when payment will be made.

The credit on my account is over R2000 already and I'm really getting frustrated with the lack of feedback from Edcon as a group.

Can anyone please get back to me regarding this issue.

Insake: teruggee van item by bloemhof jet.

Ek het op vrydag 23 maart ‘n bloes by jet bloemhof teruggee wat nie reg was nie.

Die persoon wat my gehelp het, jauta john dithebe, het op die strokie wat ek saam met die item gegee het wat moet teruggaan (strokie aangeheg) twee items gemerk wat moet teruggeskryf word, ek het dit gesien maar gedink dat dit net per ongeluk was en dit geignoreer. Hy het die transaksie voltooi. Ek moes teken dat die transaksie afgehandel is. Ek het die kontantbedrag van die pienk bloes teruggekry.
Hy het hierna gesê dis reg ek kan gaan. Ek het gevra waar is my kredietnota waarna hy gesê het ek kry nie een nie maar ek kan wag dat hy ‘n afskrif maak van die aankoopstrokie. Hy het die afskrif gaan maak en toe teruggekom en op die rekenaar begin werk. Ek het vir hom gesê waar is my strokie ek is haastig. Daarna het hy vir my gesê hy stel net iets reg op die rekenaar want hy het ‘n fout gemaak. Ek het vir hom gesê ja jy het twee items gemerk vir teruggegee maar ek het net een item se geld ontvang. Ek het daarop aangedring om die winkelbestuurder te sien. Hy het gesê dat die winkelbestuurder met verlof is. Ek het gevra vir die assistant of waarnemende bestuurder. Hy het die persoon voor by die deur gaan roep maar ek het omtrent 5 minute gewag (seker om sy storie te vertel). Ek het toe vorentoe geloop en vir die persoon by die deur gevra wat is hoofkantoor se kontak nommer en die persoon wat my gehelp het se naam.

Toe wil hul skielik weet wat die probleem is en ek het gesê toemaar ek sal dit sommer self met jul hoofkantoor uitklaar.

Ek dink u moet maar ondersoek instel na die saak want indien daar op elke kredietnota 2 items vir teruggee gemerk word maar net een item se geld word teruggegee… waar is die ander item se geld? Dalk vandaar al die verliese in u winkel.

Ek het steeds nie my bewys van teruggee strokie (kredietnota) gekry nie. Ek het wel self op die toonbank die strokie wat ek hierby aangeheg gevat aangesien dit my enigste bewys is.

Ek verneem spoedig van u.

Good day my name is zunika, I am very unhappy at moment I always swip my U thank you card when I through in petrol at the Engine Garage in Standerton I still have original recipes of when I through it it know when I went to edgard to hear how much I have on my card to spend they told me R14.00 and according to me and online for every R1.00 I spent I get 10 point and every time through in pertol I get 150 point for this month only I thought in R350.00 petrol in and my point is only R14.00 please explain it to my. Oo but not all why I am unhapp when as lady that was swipe to check how much point I have the se got all checky toe me when told I havw on black and white that I thought in R350.00 said well it black and white on the recipes that you have R14.00 then ask her where can I use that R14.00 she said here, Jet, Broadmands ens. Then I ask it can use to add on when I thought in pertol ad Engine Garages she said Yes.. When got there to add it had trought in less pertol the guy told me we can only swipe point not use it... Edgars Fashion / Edcon bad service as edgards somerset west mall

I went to Edgars Somerset West Mall today the 16 Mar18, to buy my tickets for a show I wanted to attend, when I got there, they had power failure so they were unable to sell tickets, and I was informed of that after 30min of just standing there with no one looking at me, because the lady(Prissy, Priscilla)that was there was busy helping people that are buying cellphones and got there after me, finally someone came and asked me to go Jet as Edgars has system failure, I went to jet and I was informed they don't have the tickets, I must go back to Edgars. I went back, when I got there, the was no one at the cellphone counter but luckily some of the guys saw me from my 1st visit and they asked me if I got my tickets and I told them no, so they called someone for me, and that someone was Priscilla still busy with one of her cellphone clients. Priscilla said immediately she saw me 'WHY ARE YOU GUYS CALLING ME AS IF I DONT HAVE A CLIENT", which was shocking to me as I am also a client, she did not recognised me when she got there and ask me to give her few minutes to finish with the other client. When she was finally done, she went to log on to the tickets PC, where she said 'IT DOES NOT ALLOW ME TO LOG ON', so I was not sure of how to respond to that, so I kept quiet, she told me again 'IT DOES NOT ALLOW ME TO LOG ON', and she left to continue with her work.
So I left without my tickets and no good reason why.
I had a lot of options where I could have bought my tickets, but because I was trying to be a loyal client, I drove all the way from my work to the store to be treated like no body.
Edgars do something about this as I can tell you something of this nature was not happening for the 1st time at definitely is not happening for the last.

Edgars Fashion / Edcon updating of my jet account

Morning

I received a call on Thursday 8 March stating that my account is overdue, I was surprised because I paid my account on 1st March 2018 through EFT like I have always done in the previous years.

I immediately emailed my proof to TNgwenya but the email bounced back. I called again and I was given an email address of [protected]@edcon.co.za. I emailed again. On Friday I still did not receive any feedback, I called and was put from pillar to post with no answer and again I received an sms saying my account is overdue.

On Monday I called again to find out the progress, still no one knew what was happening with my proof of payment. I was given another email to send to: [protected]@ Edcon.co.za and another 1 of Nelly Majola and another 1 of ZMhlongo.

Yesterday I got an email from Kribashnee Govender who also claims that my account is being handled.
I also got another email from Zade Oliver who now claims that I used incorrect information to pay my account. Which incorrect information is she referring to when the reference number on my proof of payment is my account number and I have used that for years to pay. I responded yesterday and asked her what she is talking about and to date she hasn't responded to me.
This morning I called again and still my account is not updated. I was again asked to send my proof of payment to [protected]@edcon.co.za for it to be escalated to the relevant department.
I just got another email now from Zinhle Ngcobo who is still telling me the same story that my account will be escalated to the relevant department.

I received a statement yesterday showing that I have been charged for late penalty fee. I refuse to pay that amount as I paid my account on time and it is not my business if your systems are not working.

I am really angry and irritated with the kind of service that I am currently receiving from you guys. I get calls and smes daily of people telling me to pay this bloody account but I had already paid.

I am being harassed as if am not a good payer but if you can go back on my account I never skip any payment.

I am really disappointed with the type of service that am receiving from everyone at Edcon and no one is willing to help. Its always not the relevant department that I have called and the excuse all the time is that the query will be escalated.

How long does it take to fix the mistake that you guys made?

I hope I did not waste my time typing this and hope that I will be responded to ASAP as am sick and tired of calling you guys and being asked the same thing over and over again without anyone doing anything about this matter.

I bought a tablet from your Westgate store on the 25/02/2018. I was sold a demo tablet because they didn't have enough stock. I couldn't insure the phone because I had to rush my child to school and she needed to take it with her. I was then told I could just come with the receipt and my bank statement to insure the device. I went back to Westgate today to insure the device however they said they needed the device to be in the shop. I explained that I was told that I don't need to bring the device when I needed to insure it. My child is in school and will return when the schools close. The lady who was at the cellphone counter Xoliswa said she will insure the phone even after 30days and she confirmed that the person who sold me the phone does not work at the cellphone department. I'm not happy about your service. Please unsure this is rectified as I will escalate further. I want my tablet insured as I was given wrong information.

Edgars Fashion / Edcon kak service received from menlyn and cell phone bought at edgars

I'm so pissed of with Edgars. Yesterday I bought a phone from Edgars East rand mall, the charger is not fitting in the phone, 2nd sim slot is not working, and it dies not have 8gb memory as confirmed before I bought. Today I went to Edgars menlyn which is close to where I stay and got a kak service from Harriet who has a stinking attitude and she refused to help said I need to go back to East rand mall. Who's paying for transport and time to get there.

Edgars Fashion / Edcon opening of an account

Hi i am so annoyed by the service i received. I done an online application to open an account with you guys. On the online application it states you will get back to us within 3-5 days its been over 2months now since i applied i sent numerous emails to the accounts department they would just reply that they have sent my query to the new accounts department but OMG what pathetic service. Does it really take 2months to get approved or declined? Its just a matter of communicating with the customer and atleast letting them know whether they got it or not. I get theres over 1000 or more applications but it cant take 2months to respond thats ridiculous. It just doesn't make sense for me to apply again as it will affect my credit because i already have one pending with you guys. Can this please get sorted.

Edgars Fashion / Edcon customer service from sthembile sabado 1397195

Today I went into the edgars active store at edendale mall. PMB
As I approached the till, the cashier and manager were complaining about customers whilst I was in the store.

As I got to the till, the cashier, Sthembile Mabaso, just stared at me with a look of irritation.

I smiled and greeted her. With no responsw. She just ignored me completely and did not even acknowledge me.

Her attitude was disgusting. What made this all worse is the fact that her manager stood right beside her and failed to correct her.

Is this how edcon represents itself as a company?

Even management has no regard for customers.

I will be closing off all my accounts at this company because I am so disgusted with the way they treat people.

Very disappointing.

Will not visit this store in future and will make sure my family and friends dont so.

Pathetic employees!

Edgars Fashion / Edcon online purchase from edgars

My daughter bought 2 pairs of shoes on 6 January 2018.This was an online purchase in the sum of R1539.93. The deduction was done twice on my credit card however to date 28 February 2018 my credit card has not been credited for the double debt of R1539.93.

I phoned the online department on 4 different occasion, each time they took my credit card details but have not yet credited my account.

My reference is Reshni Pillay, [protected]/GO & 180 [protected]/GO .Purchased on 6 /01/2018
