I contacted Endurance to get additional coverage for my Mazda3. The representative selected a 6 year plan that would cost $3, 219. They said that there would be an initial payment of $194.63 and 36 monthly payments of $92.17. I told the rep that the total of those payments is $3, 512.75. They told me that the $3, 512.75 price is the retail price and that they were giving me a $300 discount. They said that they can give me whatever price they want. I asked what I need to do to get the discount. They then quoted me a higher monthly price with yet even higher total cost. I told them I'm not interested and to remove my number from their system.
If you're a representative selling a policy and your total price doesn't match the sum of the payments, that's a problem. When the customer points out multiple times that those numbers don't match but the representive doesn't agree that they don't match, that's also a problem. It seems to me that either this rep is incompetant or dishonest. Either is bad but based on their sales tactics I'm guessing that they are dishonest. They said that they were giving me a reduced price but then changed the subject when I pointed out the problem with their numbers. Also they refused to send me the estimate via email. I can't recommend working with this company.
Desired outcome: Ensure customers have the option to receive estimates in writing before signing up for service
Car Shield Extended Auto Warranty
I took My Vehicle to a Dealership for repairs they contacked the Warranity service. They did not want to replace the transmission on Their word wanted them to take it all apart, guess You can't trust the Dealerships findings.

Warranty Coverage
I purchased the warranty for my wife's SRX at 95, 528. I completed all the recommended bumper to bumper maintenance for $2, 000 two weeks prior. The vehicle has a mileage reading in the shop at 96, 710 miles. The warranty was purchased on 2/3/21 and it is now 4/8/21. The vehicle displayed a check engine light and the dealer diagnosed the issue as a faulty transmission valve body. The parts and labor cost $3, 644 plus tax. The service advisor (at the dealer) contacted endurance and denied the claim stating I called them with a higher mileage at contract beginning. I called personally to dispute this and they gave me the exact same story. I emailed the contract to them and have it in writing that the odometer is at 95, 528. I contacted two service representatives and they both said "we will call you back." My vehicle and dealer are awaiting their next move. This is ridiculous since I purchased the contract for $3, 100.
Desired outcome: Full coverage for the repair
stay away from this company. Total scam and all the positive reviews online are paid advertising sites directing you to purchase a plan. I canceled the two plans after realizing I made a mistake going thru them. Glad I discovered this early enough. Even after my cancellation, they still charged my credit card. They will find any reason to decline the claim. Don't trust them. I never post bad reviews about any company but this one had to be done.
6 hour repair and my vehicle has been in the shop 4 weeks waiting on "approval" from Endurance.
My 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 83k miles had a "ticking" noise coming from the engine. I called Endurance and got a list of "recommended" mechanics. I was familiar with one shop as they had done excellent, honest work on two of my other vehicles. The shop contacted Endurance the following day and informed that they believe it to be a rocker, but they will need to open the engine for verification. After a week, Endurance stated they needed proof of routine maintenance. Both the mechanic and I sent them the 3 previous oil changes which spanned 12 months and 13k miles. Another week goes by and after several calls, the shop was given authorization to do further diagnostics. The following day the shop contacted me and sent me photos of inside the engine, which the mechanic described as "pristine." The shop forwarded the quote to repair the rocker to Endurance and was told by Endurance they will send an adjuster to come inspect. After two weeks, with both the mechanic and I leaving messages daily for the past 8 days, an adjuster was finally assigned this morning. I have now been without my Jeep for 4 weeks, for what should be a 6 hour repair (including the diagnostic time), because Endurance refuses to hold their sub, SmartAuto, accountable. This is the service Endurance is providing someone that has purchased their "top of the line, Diamond level, bumper to bumper" extended warranty. I would have preferred paying for the $1200 repair myself and getting all of my money back from Endurance. Their customer service is dismal. A complete waste of my money and my time. After four weeks, I still have no estimate on when my Jeep will be repaired.
Desired outcome: Either my Jeep be repaired by Friday or a full refund of all money that I have paid towards this extended warranty.
Scam
I am currently in the exact same situation as stated above. I am going on 2 weeks with nothing being done because endurance is waiting for a 3rd party inspector. I was finally told by a representative to wait and get over it. It's part of the process and to cancel and pay it myself if I want to. I'm going on week 2 of not having transportation to work and have lost more than it would have cost to pay out of pocket. I'm lost on what to do
Car warranty
I was mislead on what policy would cover and when I went to use it for a blown engine, they would not cover. I proceeded to cancel policy since I bought a new vehicle and emailed them about getting refund and spoke with a representative who was not able to advise why I was mislead. I was told I would get an email with instructions and forms needed to request refund. Now 14 days later, I have not received any email or responses to followup emails. Not sure if I will ever get my refund.
Appears they are quick to get you sucked into their policy and take payments immediately, but fall short and fail at service when it comes to complaints and refunds.
Pissed off FORMER customer from Indiana
Loopholes
I trust my ex's cooking for me right now before I trust endurance. They voided my warranty claiming my tires were oversized by 4%. This did not cause my problem with the torque converter going bad on my 2016 f150. They stuck me with the diagnosis bill and repair bill that I cant afford to pay. Again this company is like cheap toilet paper... not to be trusted. Shame on endurance. They do not care about the average American trying to keep their car running so they can provide in a pandemic. Approach with serious caution or not at all. Beware of their loopholes.
Robo calls, post cards, letters
I've been getting cold calls, robo calls, post cards and letters exhorting me to buy a vehicle service contract from Endurance since the warranty expired on my 2003 Nissan so i've had plenty of time to get sick of this seemingly-endless harrassment. I've even called them once and politely asked them to stop to no avail. I'm going to submit a BBB and FTC complaint and see if I can get some payback against these cretins.

Obtained my information somehow and gave me the runaround as to how they received it
08/14/20
I'm extremely livid. I contacted the number listed on the post card, asked to speak with a supervisor, was informed that I was speaking to one of their managers.
I immediately wanted to know how they obtained my address, phone number, name, and other personal information.
The manager asked me for my client ID #. I gave him my name, and again, asked my question numerous more times after I gave him the client ID #. Which, by the way, I'm highly unwilling to give this person anymore information until they were to answer my question.
This manager went on to explain that he's the "administrator" from Endurance. Which I realize is a company that issues car warranties. However, he never once answered my direct question of how his company obtained my information. I'm assuming he received it from the dealership I bought my car from, which automatically assigned a temporary warranty program with my car, covers basic things up to a certain number of miles and/or years.
This was not my question. I know what a warranty is, and I know now what Endurance is. However, he still hadn't answered my question of how this company obtained my PERSONAL information. I still want to know, and I will be contacting the dealership I bought the car from tomorrow as well.
Now the reason I was trying to find this out, I want the phone calls from companies like this as well as the post cards from this company to STOP. I don't want to be pressured in to buying some sort of warranty package that I don't need or want at this time. The wording on these post cards (and phone calls) are aggressive and very much nothing but sales tactics.
I have had my personal information stolen/used before and I do my best to keep track of WHO has it. I'm angry that the numerous times before that I've asked people such as this to stop calling me, they just don't listen. I'm complaining because I want this company to stop contacting me, and I also want to know how they obtained my personal information (who they got it from, etc). If anything changes I'll try to update this post.

Constant mail addressed to my husband (Endurance Customer Code: A1188850278) who is deceased as of 4-3-19. The latest letter was received on 7-8-20. This company is continually mailing letters to him and then following up with unsolicited phone calls (our telephone number is registered on the Do Not Call List) from spoofed telephone numbers indicating they...

extended warranty price increase scam
My son is driving one of my cars. Recently he recieved a letter in the mail from this company informing him of a price increase on their extended warranty as if he had purchased a warranty from them. It then tells him to call them.
I never purchased an extended warranty and certainly not from this company as I never heard from them.
He asked me what this was and if it was a scam and I told him it was.
Companies like this should be banned for their deceptive tactics.

Same letter...I had already purchased the extended warranty when I bought my car at the dealership. They wanted $240 for "bumper to bumper coverage for seven years or 101, 000 miles, " and they were kind enough to waive the $440 activation fee! Sounds too good to be true? It is. After I caught on, I played with them a little bit, and the price dropped. I knew I had already purchased and paid for a warranty, and the price couldn't go up. Of course, they never actually SAID that they were from my extended warranty provider (Ford), but implied that the dealer just offered me a plan and they represented that company. SCAM!

claims department
My car started acting up took it to the repair shop to find out it was the computer module in the transmission. Filed a claim thinking it was covered since it has to deal with transmission. Come to find out endurance will not cover the part because it's a computer part. Most newer model vehicles operate on computer parts so why have a warranty that won't cover one of the most important components that allows the car to function?

Wow, there doing the same thing to me with my back door lock actuator! How did you my the problem?
warranty services
I purchased a policy with through Endurance warranty services. I have had this policy two years. My vehicle recently started having transmission problems and they are refusing to cover my vehicle because per them I have a lyft and uber sticker in my window. I have never been told this was a problem. The recently came out and inspected my vehicle and approved a claim to fix the ac. But now they are refusing to fix my vehicle. I paid for this policy for 2 years and I need my vehicle fixed. This is not okay. They told me to deactivate both accounts and show proof which I did. They also told me to show when drove last. I am a single mother, work full time, and also run a non-profit for the community. Please help me with
vehicle warranty
Contacted by someone claiming to be the services department. They offered to set me up on a biweekly payment instead of monthly, due to financial hardship. Two days later the full amount came out causing an overdraft.
This is unacceptable, the first dealings and immediately they are doing whatever they want.
I want to be compensated as this was not the agreement. As well as an arrangement to not be taken out automatically as they are unable to follow agreements.

automotive insurance
I paid for Endurance auto insurance to cover repairs; I tried to submit a claim today and was told that they were denying my insurance coverage because of a discrepancy in the mileage - the Customer Service agent said that it appeared that my odometer had been rolled back. I explained that I did service the vehicle in Canada as well as the USA and that the Canadian mechanic entered the odometer reading as Kilometers. YOu can clearly see from my receipts and the Carfax that the odometer reading is progressing forward slowly. ALthough the Canadian mechanic entered kilometers it is clearly miles - the miles are entered by the USA mechanic correctly and service was done in the USA regularly. Johnny M. Customer Service said that the error was in 2014 therefore they would not cover my car. I bought the policy in 2018 - if they had NO INTENTION of covering the vehicle they should not have charged me and sold me insurance in 2018. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM ENDURANCE - SCAMMERS - FRAUD . How can you sell someone insurance if you have no intention of covering them.

not paying claims
I have had 3 brakedowns and all were turned down for false reasons each time. The first was on 3/25/2019, replaced injectors and erg cooler. The next was on 5/20/2019, replaced diesel mfi pump. Then on 5/25/2019, replaced oil cooler. All for a total of $6187.92. I am 72 years old and on social security and do not have that kind of money. I had to sell my truck, at a lose to pay bill. I called 6 times to try and get some help with no luck. The repair shop called each time and he said they said no and hungup on him. I have all the paperwork and reciepts and letter from shop. I never thought a company would treat someone this way. I also had towing and car rental cost also. I had been paying for 18 months for nothing.
