Expedia no response from my complaint letter sent by mail

I sent by mail to your physical address a complaint letter reporting an incident affecting my family and I and I attached to it all supporting documents and the reasoning I have to be repaired for my loss.
Canada Post tracking shows it's been received and signed by "J Davis" on September 10, 2018 and so far I have not received any answer from you.
I look forward hearing back from you about my claim.

Expedia lack of service for an airline reservation

On approximately September 18th, 2018 I made an airline reservation online THRU EXPEDIA. I received no email confirmation from Expedia, so called the following day. They had NO RECORD of my reservation. The representative then told me to CALL MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY TO VALIDATE MY DOLLAR CHARGES. I felt insulted with his total lack of assistance. I called United and they CONFIRMED my reservation and sent me a confirmation. I then sent an email to Expedia asking for an email confirmation . . no reply. I also have a $15 credit and sent an email asking them to credit it to my recent reservation . . no reply.

Expedia flight cancellation and "cancellation insurance"

Good Evening,

I purchased a round trip flight from Denver to Houston on Sept 2, 2018. At the time, I also purchased cancellation insurance thinking that "cancellation insurance" meant that if I needed to cancel the flight, for whatever reason, I would get a refund or at least a voucher.

The flight was split between Frontier and Spirit, and apparently, there was a problem because I did not get a confirmation from Spirit. I called expedia. The agent was able to get my confirmation number, but the return trip never appeared on my Expedia trips.

As it turned out, I had to cancel the flight because the French Consulate canceled my Visa appointment.

This is when I found out that Expedia insurance came from a third party. Not only did the insurance I paid for not guarantee a refund, but unbelievably, I am responsible for canceling my flights with each airline, then I must file a claim to MAYBE get a refund. What on earth were you thinking? I paid $260 for two tickets. Frontier was going to charge me more than I paid for the tickets to cancel. How many times do you think a person will tolerate this nonsense?

What is insurance for? I want my money back, and I want expedia to get it. I don't believe I should have to call anyone else, or file a claim with anyone else.

Expedia has been a reputable company until now, and I never had any problems. After losing $260, spending hours on the phone, with no real possibility of restitution, there is no way I WILL EVER buy anything from you again.

I filed my claim with AIG, but I feel very little hope that Expedia will do anything to make this right.

Please consider my case,

Expedia lost reservation

Today my husband, Stephen Fick, flew into Philadelphia airport and went to the Dollar rental counter where they told him they did not have his reservation. I booked this trip with flight, hotel and rental car back in July. Stephen spent 40 minutes on the phone with Expedia who said they would refund the $90 for the rental car and give us a $50 voucher for a Hotel stay. Although I appreciate the coupon, this still puts us out $110 for the rental car because Dollar then charged $200 for the rental car. I would like to be refunded $110 more to cover the rental car cost.

Expedia illegally charged from my credit card

I've booked my hotel through Expedia from 13th to 16th September, 18 and stayed in this hotel from13 to 20 Sept, 18 . I didn't cancelled or changed my booking. After 16th Sept I talked to the hotel and they extended my booking till 20sept & at the same previous rate(30usd). 

Then I cleared my all dues on 20th sept (night)in cash in the hotel. But 21th Sept, in the morning i found Royal ivory purchased from my credit card. I call them and they told it's Expedia (who purchased), not the hotel. 

Moreover I 've given my crefit card details to the Expedia, not the hotel. So Expedia deducted money illegally from my credit card. It's responsibility of the Expedia to ensure security of their customers credit card.

Or do Expedia take card's information to steal money from customers cards!?
Why Expedia cut my money from my credit card; where I 've cleared my all dues in the Hotel!
Please solve my problem as soon as possible.

Expedia complain about not receiving any email of changes

I'm booked with Expedia thru sunwing fir Antigua - booking [protected]

I found out from my family members the hotel changed - I called in to Expedia- I have not received any email or calls from Expedia ! I called in and advised Expedia - they said sunwing has not informed as of yet - well it's a week the trip will be !
And even it is changed in the system — I'm not getting any email confirming this change —- ! I think this is but right - I need an email telling me the hotel is changed -
Please get back to me immediately!

Expedia flight to iceland via jetblue, mechanical failure, customer service failure

On July 21, 2018, I booked reservations through Expedia for the following travel; Itinerary #[protected]

September 7, 2018, I was to leave West Palm Beach Airport (PBI) at 3:07pm to connect with Icelandair in Boston (BOS), leaving at 8:45pm arriving Reykjavik at 5:45am on September 8 for my son's wedding at noon on that date.

Jet Blue Flight 221 leaving from PBI had mechanical failure, delayed takeoff twice, eventually used a different plane, and eventually arrived in Boston (BOS) at 10:11pm.

When I realized there was a delay, and possible problems with connecting flights in Boston, I phoned Expedia to request assistance in booking a different airline due to my need to arrive in Iceland for my son's wedding.

I had purchased a Vacation Waiver in the event something such as this might occur. I expected it would be honored.

Instead, the agent/representative at Expedia put me on hold several times, refused to book me with another airline, continued to try to convince me that I would make the connecting flight as booked. He changed the Icelandair flight from 633 leaving Boston at 8:45pm to Icelandair flight 630 leaving Boston at 9:30pm.

When it became clear that even this change was not going to accomplish my connection, he told me I must go to Boston to get another flight to Iceland, because by then (after 1.21.50 hours on the phone with him) he said there were no flights to Iceland from West Palm Beach, and he could not help me, but I could get a flight from Boston.

Upon arrival at BOS, I found that the Icelandair terminal was closed, no flights were available until 8:30pm the next night, over 8 hours AFTER my son's wedding. It was then almost midnight, I was stuck in Boston with no way to reach my destination, misinformed and abandoned by Expedia, and extremely distressed that I was going to miss my son's wedding.
JetBlue Agents in Boston assisted me with cancelling all flights, assuring me there would be refunds of all money spent, and provided a voucher for a hotel for the night, so I could get some rest. They also booked me a return flight to West Palm Beach for the next day, at no cost to me.
While at the hotel, I called Expedia several times to be sure all flights, and hotels, were cancelled, and to file a claim for this disaster. I spent 26min on hold at 11:36PM on Sept. 7, 2018 trying to get this resolved. After 2 additional attempts, I finally called again at 5:44AM on Sept. 8, 2018, spoke to a Supervisor, and believed a claim was being filed to refund all monies spent for airline fares ($762.34) and hotel ($168.56) which totaled $930.90.
After speaking with that supervisor, I began getting emails that I was going to have to pay for the hotel regardless of my efforts:

It is my contention that the agent/representative who should have assisted me before the flight ever left PBI (West Palm Beach) deliberately refused to change my travel plans and rebook me, and deliberately misguided me, so that I would have no recourse with the Vacation Waiver purchased.
This has cost me, at the moment, $930.90 and the loss of a very important event in life, the wedding of my son. Nothing could make up for that loss, but having to pay over $1000 (meals, travel to and from, etc.) in addition to the pain of this fiasco is beyond reason. I am still expecting to receive refunds for the cancelled airfare and hotel, and it would be nice to receive some acknowledgement that Expedia at least cares about the outcome of this extremely poorly handled miscalculation by one of their representatives.
But the real issue here is that after looking at some way to file a complaint, and perhaps get some acknowledgement (so far I have been totally ignored) and some refund, I find that this is business as usual with Expedia. I was so unaware until now because I have only booked simple travel destinations via Expedia. Why is this such an unadvertised problem? Why is there not a class action suit against Expedia? Why is there no expose' into these practices by some journalist or organization that protects consumers against these fraudulent actions by a well-known company? Am I the only one who is considering the next steps of filing legal action?

Expedia flight booking

On July 16, 2018 I booked a flight on line with Expedia. I selected a direct flight from Boston to Memphis Tn, Delta 2832, Depart Boston 3:10, Atlanta Delta 2067 To Memphis arrive time 7:18.

Upon booking then Paying! I received email showing exactly this however there was a Itinerary attached, The email stated there was no reason to call my reservation was confirmed. Well my reservation the way the email I received from Expedia showed which is exactly what I had booked was correct but the Itinerary had us leaving Boston at 5:09 going to Detroit then to Memphis and arriving after 9:00 PM which made us too late to participate in a Wedding Reception we had planned.
I found this out after opening the Itinerary however there was nothing I could do. I did by Insurance but was never offered or no suggestions made to help correct this.

The problem I have is Expedia should not have allowed this booking and payment to take place due to the Itinerary made immediately upon payment was not what I had booked! I should have been told or prohibited from booking the flight departing Boston at 3:10 if it did not exist Or was full. That is the problem here. I should not have been allowed to key in that route and times if it was not available and it was not available. But once I paid and paid the insurance you had me and my wife. This is not right. Had the booking stopped like it should have we would have worked to get something that fit our plans.

It is very unlikely we will ever use Expedia again. This could and should have not happen on July 16 for a September 15th flight.

EXPEDIA IS A JOKE!
I booked a holiday through this company last week and find out that I got charged in US $ and costing me an extra $2500!
I phone them & asked why I was charged in US $ & was told that I actually booked this through the American Expedia site!
I still can't believe this, as I was on the NZ site?
So customer service put me through to the customer service in the US so I could cancel that trip & get a refund then book again through the NZ site!
So I only got to cancel flights as accommodation is a NO CANCEL POLICY..
I was told by Jay at customer service my refund for the flights has been refunded & Will show up in my account 2 to 3 buisness working days..
It's Now over a week & Still NO REFUND!
I phone them this morning & ask Where's my refund?
Was told flights cancelled & money was not charged to my account. I'm like Yes it has been. It's on my statement!
The lady said No was cancelled & money was Not taken out of your account, as you cancelled within 24 hours!
I'm like YES IT HAS BEEN CHARGED & TAKEN OUT OF MY ACCOUNT!
She then told me it Hasn't & phone bank!
I phoned bank & they said it Definately has been taken out over a week ago & not REFUNDED!
EXPEDIA WHERE IS MY MONEY!
What the Hell is going on there?
I need to speak to a higher up person than you on customer service as you Don't know what your obviously doing!
I HAVE BEEN CHARGED BY YOU GUYS...
I WANT THIS SORTED ASAP...

Who is lying The hotel hard rock or Expedia we have been in touch with them for the last two weeks phone calls emails, if it’s hard rock why were my children and their families able to cancel their complete vacations for JetBlue travel. No matter who I speak with at hard rock they’re telling me it is not on their end but it is Expedia who is telling us the lies. Please help

My family and I booked a trip to Punta Cana hard rock I booked through Expedia they booked through JetBlue travel with all the deaths going on there my family does not want to go since they have children I am 73 years old bringing a granddaughter of mine and recently been in the hospital for months. I tried to cancel mine right after I booked they said it’s not their policy to give back the money. I contacted and supervisor and she said we should call The hotel, upon calling the hotel they said they would gladly cancel but it’s Expedia will not give us back their money. They said Expedia does not pay them until we arrive. No matter who we talk to in Expedia they say it’s hard rock holding the money we have called hard rock many times and get the same story that our money is at Expedia and the other ones that are holding the funds paid in full by the way. Went to google call customer service telephone number that was posted on Google got a bogus site gave them our itinerary number they pulled up our whole itinerary set to go buy a Google card at target and they will refund the money when we give Them the last four digits of the card. He even said he would hold on while we went to target to do this. Of course at this point we knew it was a scam and had to cancel that credit card. What a hassle my doctor does not want me to go since I have had my colon removed and very susceptible to whatever is going on in the Punta Cana region. Please help help help and $3700 is a lot of money for me..My email is BOTI 1968@aol.com

Expedia Travel service

My family and I have been using Expedia for arranging our travels for the past 15+ years and in the past year alone, have booked multiple international trips. With each experience, we have come across issues with their service with each booking we've made. The first was when I booked my parents to travel to Europe to visit family. On their return flight, the airline had changed to another airline and Expedia did not send a notice by phone or email on the change though in making the arrangement, we provided all our info for contact. We were vigilant enough to be tracking their flight so there was not an issue but in any case, Expedia should have sent a change in the travel plan. When I reported this, there was no remorse or explanation. Second, I booked a hotel recently for travel arrangements (a month out) and selected a Free Cancellation with a Pay At Hotel option (if I cancelled 24 hours before check-in) and Expedia immediately charged for the full week stay in advance. In noticing the charge to my account a few days later, I called and they noted they could only reimburse for the charge and if changed to PayAtHotel, they would then have to charge a new rate for the hotel which was significantly more. Third, I was going to print my insurance plan for my travels (to bring a hard copy of policy in case needed on the trip to reference - hopefully not) and I learned that they had cancelled my policy. In calling to dispute what happened, they shared it was done on-line and that it was beyond their control and noted that I would have to purchase another policy. To add insult, the agent on the phone noted that the policy we purchased didn't even cover much aside from cancelled flights and since our flight was within the week, there was no point in even having. This was incorrect as a more important benefit of the policy included medical coverage in the case anything happened to our insured party throughout the timeframe of the trip. In this case, I had to purchase another travel policy for medical coverage. This organization is faulty, inconsistent and corrupt taking advantage of travelers. I will not use them for travel any longer and continue to advocate with friends and family to not use.

Expedia flight reservation

I made a reservation for my mom 76 year-old Spanish woman, for a round trip from Bogotá, Colombia to Calgary, Canada. For the return, there was a change in the air Canada flight that would depart from Calgary to Houston departing 5:25 pm and arriving to Houston at 10:16 pm and there was a flight connection with United airlines departing 11:54 pm and arriving to Bogotá at 4:54 am next day. It seems Air Canada changed the fight. You sent an email that I had urgently to contact you. I did. You gave options that I didn't like because my mom is and old person and she can't stay overnight in a foreign airport on her own. She needs wheel chair assistance and only speaks Spanish. So I said no to those options. The agent said she will call me back but she never did. Now, the change Air Canada made was a flight departing 7 pm sept 13 and arriving to Houston at 12:11 pm. But there was no change in united flight which departure was 11:50 pm! Of course my mom missed the flight. I paid Expedia for an intinerary and it was changed and set for fail! Expedia didn't do anything. My mom got stuck in Houston, alone and now I tried to call Expedia. 3 hours back and forth trasfered call to united and then air Canada and then back to Expedia! E hours. Nobody wanted to take responsibility. Expedia wanted to charge extra for putting my mom in other flight to Bogotá, because conveniently, she appeared as if she had not showed up for the flight to Bogotá! How could she have showed up in 2 diferent places at the same time? She is old, scared and getting sick. This is abuse to elderly people. How do you think she has to pay for hotel and another flight because she was set to fail and it was Expedia's fault? This is abuse and people needs to know about this.

Expedia transfer service

Me and my friends booked a return transfer from Washington dulles to Hilton hotel and back and few days later. On arrival to airport we called them and they said they would send someone to get us. We went and waited at the door we agreed with them. They did not turn up. Called them again they said they sent someone and we werent there. Asked them to send it again they agreed and hung up on me. We waited again and no one came. Called them back multiple times after this and it just went to answer phone. Had already paid for service and didn't get it. Want to cancel return from hotel to airport with them but they will not answer.

Expedia unethical behaviour

The expedia agents misled me to cost more on airline booking on Sept 4, 2018.
On August 27, 2017, I canceled my Westjet flight from London to Toronto and got a flight credit voucher as below:

On Sept. 4, 2018, I would like to use this credit to book a flight from Toronto to Paris. I double-confirmed with an expedia agent that I can redeem the credit to book a Westjet flight . So I booked the flight from YYZ to CDG under the iItinerary #
[protected] in order to take the flight credit, even though I can buy another better and cheaper flight. After I finished the reservation, the agent said he would transfer me to the refund process, but I waited on phone more than 45 minutes and nothing happened. I kept calling until a supervisor agreed to refund me USD$259.30 taking away USD$116 rebooking fee since my son had taken his credit and my total credit was USD$375.30. He sent me an email for confirmation as below:

After reading the email, you may confused the itinerary [protected]. Me too. I questioned him about this, it should be [protected]. But he said it doesn't matter with whatever intention.

Until now I did not receive this refund. Today I called Expedia, an agent told me that I could not get USD$ 259.0 refund.

I feel frustrated and angry now because expedia agents are not professional and unintentionally or intentionally deceived causing extra money cost. At first, I didn't benefit from the flight credit (USD$375.30). Second, I can book a cheaper and direct flight with another airline.

I hope the issue could be fairly addressed.

I sent complaint email again. Finally, the issue was addressed by Expedia and I got my refund. It is a time consuming and frustration process, but with a happy ending.

Expedia air ticket

I have a flight from delhi to Toronto tomorrow i called on 6 august and asked customer service representatives about last name because i filled n.a because i have no last name and that time he said its not a problem because it means not applicable but when i called today they said you will not go with this name so now you have to book other flight and pay mote 780 more because your flight is tomorrow . I said why you people did not tell me before when i called he said may be that customer service representative made mistakes . Please help me what can i do next?

Expedia car rental

We planned and booked our holiday in February 2018 through Expedia including car hire and hotels from Calgary, Canada. On arriving at Heathrow the car hire company did not have a depot and said to use Europcar. We had paid the Cad$209. 86 collision damage waiver up front as required and been quoted Cad$695.00 for our car rental by the company. We took the bus to Europcar. The collision damage waiver was not recognized by Europcar and neither was the car rate. The insurance was £777.00 (Cad$1300.00). The total car hire bill was Cad$2800.00. This totally blew our holiday budget out the window and we had to cancel our hotel reservation and sleep on sofas as we hadn't budgeted for this. This is total misrepresentation and a rip off. We are trying to get back our 209.86 but would ask why a car hire company are even advertising services when they obviously dont even have such services available. Do Expedia even check potential vendors?

Expedia booking flight

ok - last week i tried to book an online flight but could not complete the booking without purchasing the flight protection insurance that i did not want - this, after many expensive phone calls and a lovely lady called Anne (who called me back to save me money) resolved the issue and refunded the insurance money.
Today with the same card i have the same problem when booking four flights. You want the insurance purchased and i dont want it. Again you have cost me a fortune in phone calls and sadly this time i got a newbie customer services who said she would not/could not call me back. It costs me £1.50 per minute to call you. So with the same card i cannot pruchase my flights unless i check the box for flight protection - thats fraudulent ...But the worst part is trying to get anyone to talk toyou . Twitter facebook - i gave you a second chance after last week and you have dragged me through this stressful malaise...

Expedia recent flight

Hello,
I recently booked a RT flight to Jacksonville, NC from Knoxville through expedia. I was glad to find a flight for 206.00 with Delta.

What Expedia failed to provide with ANY clarity was the pertinent information that 1. I could not choose my seat until check-in and 2. that there would be a 25.00 baggage fee on the flight out and the return flight. Making it a total of 50.00 extra.

Because of this arrangement I was placed in window seats all 4 flights, and since I am a very tall person, had lower back pain for 2-3 days afterwards. ALSO, on my flight from OAJ to ATL I was placed beside a very intoxicated man who was talking inappropriately and extremely loud the entire hr and a half. These are very small planes with even tighter quarters. So I ended up getting off the plane smelling like a night in a club.

I am respectfully asking for a 50.00 service recovery fee for the lack of clarity about hidden and extra fees, and being unable to select a more suitable seat. For these reasons it has really put a damper on using Expedia again for my travel needs.

Expedia car hire

Hi,

I booked a car rental with Expedia. On my arrival at Mallorca Airport, I traveled to Expedia's OKRentACar partner to pick up my car hire vehicle.

I was unaware of a rule that did not allow customers to hire cars with less than 1 year's experience on their valid UK licence. I made a request for a refund to Expedia who refused my refund even though I was not allowed to use it.

Eventually I had to hire with another company and forked out £600.

Expedia motel cancellation

I reserved a room in Murdo, SD through Expedia with a cancellation deadline of 4pm of the day of arrival. Approximately two weeks before that day I cancelled the room through Expedia and have confirmation of that cancellation. To date, Sept.5, 2018, the charge for that nights room is on my credit card bill and I cannot get Expedia to take care of the matter. The motel says it's up to Expedia to call them to cancel and Expedia says it's up to the motel chain--Super 8.
I would never use Expedia again for any reason whatsoever. I have filed a complaint with my credit card company but have not heard back from them yet.

Expedia customer service in india both offices

I am disgusted with the customer service from the office at bangalore and delhi. Agents are constantly saying different things and constantly making eachother seem as if they are lying. I got through finally to the corporate office after they had told me from india it would not be possible. I have never dealt with such a disappointing group of customer service representatives and from both their offices is highly concerning. I am severely dissatisfied with the customer service offices in india, seriously need to have it in australia or USA or even in a respectful country because they were all talking over the top of me, all eight reps and two of the three supervisors i spoke with. Disgrace, i will make sure no one in my family or community recommends or uses your company because of the disgusting customer service and i will be more than happy to sound it over the media.

Expedia poor customer service and failure to help a vulnerable 19 year old girl abroad

My name is Madison Woodworth and I booked a flight with Holly Wilson MT231 28/09/2018 but unable to use this flight as all communication with this person has ended on holiday in Turkey. Holly is lead passenger, so in sheer panic I booked another flight for 6th September. However this has left me without money, so a person offered to use my flight booked for 28th and to help me with money.
However solution from Expedia after a week of phone calls snails etc was to refund Holly and book a new flight for new passenger.
If I'm not speaking with Holly how do I get this money back and have lost all chance of this new person talking my original flight
I understand this may be general company policy, but these are exceptional curcumstsnce and I feel Expedia have done little to help in this very difficult situation
I'm left in Turkey no friends no money and found Expedia treatment has made this matter more stressful
Since I had a week of phone calls which have cost money I don't really have
