I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction regarding a recent cancellation of our trip on November 11,2023 without any notification to us. It is very unprofessional and unacceptable for a cancellation to occur without informing us by calling or email not by finding out when going to the ticket booth to check in to our flight at 5:45am.
When i called Expedia and spoke to Karanjit he told me my flight was cancelled due to the credit had expired which is totally not correct. I have notification and documents stating that my credit is available till Jan 15/2024. Which is not before November 11,2023!
So I told Karanjit that a full refund needs to be sent to us which was done. After i had to get very mad with what occurred due to Expedias fault.
I would like to be reimbursed for all of our expenses that occurred that we didn't need to since we had no holiday to go to.
These are the expenses:
Ferry charges- $123.30
Ferry charges- $123.30
Rez for ferry- $18.00 (this was for Nov 18 that we couldn't get a refund for)
Hotel room at airport- $435.97
Hotel in San Francisco- $266.91 (had to pay not enough notice to cancel
Total Expenses $967.48

I would like a superior manager to call/email me to resolve this. It has been a very upsetting experience that i do not want to go through again. I probably wont ever book through expedia again unless this gets resolved properly
