Frigidaire Refrigerator/Freezer
We purchased our $3,400.94 refrigerator/freezer on 04/12/22 and soon after we got it, the bottom freezer door was not closing properly. The first few times, we assumed we just forgot to close it correctly but it became apparent that it is the freezer itself. I have spoken to Frigidaire service five times, spending at least and hour on the phone each time, and they have been unable to address this problem and I am extremely dissatisfied. None of the repair places they have suggested are willing to come and fix it. This is obscene and unacceptable.
Desired outcome: At this point, I want them to replace the unit or refund me $3,400.94 along with $500 for the food that has defrosted in the freezer when it wasn't closed.

To whom it may concern:
I am filing a complaint with Frigidaire in regard to a purchase I made May 30, 2022. I purchased the above new refrigerator and 2 months after purchase it stopped freezing and cooling. I called customer service and they indicated that a technician would come out and inspect it.
They came out in September and I was told a new part was needed. Then I called to get an update and I was told they were unable to give me an estimated time when part would arrive. A few weeks later another appointment was then scheduled for tech to come out again I even received an email confirmation and technician did not show up on scheduled date and I did not receive a phone call. At a different time technician finally came out and when he went to switch part out he mentioned he had the wrong part.
Next time, another technician came back out again and told me part was wrong again and that welding needed to be done.
I called again on 11/15/22 and the customer service representative was very rude and would not allow me to speak to a manager. I have no idea what is next at this point, I want a full refund! I have not had a working refrigerator since September, and no one is helping me! The customer service you have does not help.
Please send me a refund, I will be glad to have Frigidaire come and pick up this non-working refrigerator that I initially purchased from Home Depot.
Desired outcome: FULL REFUND
Refrigerator
Purchased June 5, 2021 Compressor failed October 11, 2022. 5 yr warranty is parts only and the labor is $600 so bought a new GE. Most infuriating is that the Frigidaire website will not allow any negative reviews of their products. I tried 5x to get the complaint published by watering the rhetoric down -denied. This is deceitful and should be discontinued. Buyer beware.
Desired outcome: Allow customers a voice!
Induction range and home depot/warranty company and exploding product
Our first unit arrived the workers installed it and left. We went to open the bottom drawer and it was not actually attached to the oven, screws were missing and the side piece was not lined up, falling off when you opened it. We turned the oven on and the light would stay on after closing the door. We then realized that the door was also not lined up and fully closing. In turn, the oven was not reaching proper temperature. We called Home Depot and they were able to get service out to us. The service tech arrived and stated that it was a malfunction and would not be able to be fixed. He would have another unit sent out to us. We had a date for the new unit to arrive, and it was installed. I went to use the oven and even though it was set to 425 degrees, the temperature gauge would not go above 300 degrees, even with keeping the oven door closed for a prolonged period of time. I placed food into the over and it would not cook due to the temperature not being accurate. We turned the oven up to 450 and the coils became very red and the temperature gauge was then over 550 degrees and it looked like we had on broil, not bake. It them burned everything that I was cooking in under four minutes. I have now during the course of this evening have had to throw out food twice for being undercooked and also burnt. We called Home Depot again and they were able to get yet another service tech out. He tried to adjust it under the control panel, but also put in for us to have another over brought out. Looking back, the first two were the least of our problems. A third unit was delivered out to us around October 26, we were able to use it initially, the stove working without any issues. On October 30,2022, I was wiping a turned OFF stove that we had NOT USED that day with a damp cloth and the stove made an exploding sound, sprayed sparks and embers, tripping the circuit breaker. This also resulted in a hole in the plastic of our unit cover exposing a wire. So we called Home Depot again and for a third time, we are scheduled to have a service tech come out. The following week, I tried turning on the oven, and we stayed away from using the stove. The oven was no longer holding temperature yet again and would not go above 300 degrees. I closed the door on the oven, the exploding sound happened again, and I got sprayed with the embers hitting both my clothing and my floor. Thankfully at this time, neither or my small children were nearby. The circuit tripped again and we left it off. This Wednesday, November 9, another service tech arrived at our home. We turned the circuit back on for him to look at the oven. As my husband was telling him about the issue, he asked if the tech would need to remove the top of the range. As my husband touched the side of the range, it exploded and sparked in front of both him and the service tech, tripping the breaker. The service tech then told him under no condition to turn the breaker back on and that this is classified as a fire hazard, so all electricity needs to be cut off to it. I am thankful again, that it was not one of my children that touched the unit. This time the issue happened without the oven or stove being on. I spoke with Home Depot again to figure out how to proceed from there. I no longer want this unit, it needs to be out of my house and all I simply want is a refund so that we can purchase another brand. I was told that they unable to get anywhere and gave me the number for the warranty company. I then wasted yet another hour sitting on a call with the warranty company only to be told that they now have to send out a service tech, but they cannot get anyone to me until November 17. Then they will decide what will happen from there. I have now not had a stove or oven that has worked since September. This is a brand new unit and I should not be having all of these issues. I do not want a fourth one, I do not want this one attempted to be fixed. I am not actually sure what I am supposed to do to cook for my family. We cannot eat using only a microwave.
Desired outcome: I want this item picked up from my home immediately and a refund, so that I can purchase something safe and not a fire hazard.
Refrigerator
Bought a side by side refrigerator Less than 2 months ago, Ice maker stopped working. Went through all the stupid robot answer to get to live rep, was told it would be $40 to troubleshoot issue. TOLD THEM THEY WERE CRAZY, bottom line was given a appointment for Monday for repair tech to correct issue. Well here it is Friday and the repair company called to say FRIGIDAIRE over promised and quickest appointment would be Wednesday. DO NOT BUY Frigidaire products.
Upright Freezer, model FFFU20F1UW; serial KA10205850
Unit stopped cooling on 08/27/22, while still under original warranty. Called Frigidaire's customer service this date. Finally got repair person on 09/28. Said unit was dead. Received message from Frigidaire on 10/04 that replacement unit would be sent. Received e-mail on 10/17 that arrangements being made to deliver replacement. For a week, their system was done and couldn't even respond with anything. Today, 11/10/22, still waiting; customer service has no information.
Unfortunately, we had spent more than $6,000 on two professional series units a month before this freezer stopped working. Based on our experience, we regret this purchase as we have no confidence in the warranty. This experience has been totally unacceptable. We will NEVER purchase another Frigidaire or Electrolux appliance nor would we every recommend.
Desired outcome: Full refund of purchase price.
Refrigerator/freezer
My refrigerator started to go out on Sat Nov 5th, I went up to Lowes to purchase a new one and ended up buying a fridgedare. Got it home put it in and transferred the contents from one to the other thinking that was the end. I noticed the door wasn't sealing so thru sun I tried pulling it out and ot just wasn't sealing. Monday I call to report the problem. The appt with the repair guy was on Tue with a window of 12- 5. The repair guy shows up spent no more than 5 mins to come to the conclusion it was the seal and he has to have it sent to him and come back to put it on. The service order said it wasn't cooling. I remember the conversation I had with the woman and I remember telling her 3 times it was the seal but she insisted it wasn't cooling I then told her once again the seal wasn't sealing. Thinking she finally understood I set the appt thinking the repair man would have a new seal in case he needed to replace it but nope. Now iv3 got to take more time off work to cater to a multibillon dollar company that allows there employees to just put whatever they deem the problem is on the workorder so the repair man doesn't have the necessary parts and has to make another trip. I know they record the conversations and encourage them to listen to it and from start to finish I told the woman it was the seal 4 times but it's OK I'll take more time off to cater to them but that will be the last piece of fridgedare I buy and I will run there name in the mud every chance I get...
Desired outcome: Reimburse me for time lost at work which after my next trip will be 7 hours
Induction cooking stove model #IGIF3036TFA
Frigidaire stove never really worked like it was supposed to in 2014. Front right burner was faulty and it was never delt with. I am so upset I purchased this induction stove right when the technology became available and it doesn't work now. 1k for faulty products is not right. I called the company and the customer service worker didn't seem to care. I asked them to notate this was happening and I doubt they even did because I called again and they acted like I never called in about it. So sad I was depressed 2015 due to some deaths in the family and I had an accident so I didn't realize till later the severity of the problem wasn't that it was new but rather that it was faulty.
Desired outcome: They need to recall the induction stoves that were effected.
I purchased the dishwasher along with a stove and fridge 2014. I ran in to problems with all of them during the start of the pandemic. After being hospitalized my dishwasher stopped working. I was told after not running the unit for a while it will reset the computer. I don't know how true it is, but I know it stopped working and I feel they should disclose this because I took very good care of it for it to fail me like this. There was no abuse or heavy use to the dishwasher for it to need to be serviced so soon.
As soon as I got home, I called to complain about my Gallery side by side. I was upset about the functioning of the fridge, and I had issues with the bins being damaged due to getting too cold and cracking? I tried to replace a bin and the bin itself was close to $100. I decided to do without it and just take the drawer out however I kept on running in to other situations like unit itself leaking water causing major water damage in my kitchen, noises coming from the fridge and also the fridge has a horrible design to the ice bin tray that makes mold form there. I was so pleased to receive my matching items until they started breaking down on me.
This was my worst investment ever!
Frigidaire Model FRFG232LAF French Door Refrigerator
Purchased this refrigerator in September 2022 and November 2, 2022 it completely quit cooling! I lost all food in freezer and mostly everything in fridge. Customer service is horrible with calls going straight to a call center outside of the United States with 10 second lag time and static on the line. Took half an hour to get an appointment with A&E Factory Appliance Repair. I went online to read reviews and there is barley anything good there! The reviews for those folks are downright sad.
So... 2 months later, I am out $1800, have no food and no working refrigerator and have to wait nearly a week just for someone to come out and inspect. Wonder how long it'll be until it gets repaired?
This is unacceptable and you've lost a future Frigidaire customer.
Desired outcome: Full replacement of refrigerator.
Microwave extended warranty
I purchased an extended warranty with Electrolux for all five of my kitchen appliances. On September 3, 2022, my microwave caught on fire. Thankfully, I was in the room and immediately stopped the microwave. I called Electrolux to have my microwave replaced. The below is a list of the event that have occurred, and I am still, almost three months later, without a microwave.
September 6th called Electrolux and was advised that a service technician would have to come out to confirm the microwave was not repairable. (it caught on fire but okay)
September 9th service repair from A&E came to my home and confirmed that the microwave was not repairable.
September 30th finally received my new microwave which was shipped directly to my home. Microwave installed and is NON-WORKING! Called Electrolux and was advised that a service repairman would have to again come to my home to service the brand new microwave. I spent countless hours on the phone and chatting with service regarding my dissatisfaction with Electrolux wanting me to keep a broken microwave and have it repaired. Would anyone buy a new appliance, get it home and it not work, and keep it? Electrolux would not make it right and send me a new WORKING microwave.
October 6th - service repair from A&E came to my home and said the control panel needed to be replaced. Part ordered and was to be shipped directly to my home. Repair appointment made for October 24, 2022.
October 8th – got a text that my part was on backorder.
Today is October 31, 2022. I have no part. I have no scheduled repair appointment. I HAVE NO MICROWAVE.
I have never dealt with a company like this before. It is unbelievable. I cannot get anywhere, with anyone. I get nothing from customer service, either by phone or chat. I have spent endless hours trying to get my microwave. Is this what it takes? I paid for my extended warranties; they weren’t free. November 3rd will be three months that I am without a microwave.
I am hoping that someone at Electrolux will make this right. I am hoping someone will have a conscious for a single mother who lives a simple life working and supporting her kids to get her microwave replaced with a new and working microwave.
Desired outcome: New microwave!
Purchased an extended warranty. Microwave non repairable 9-3-22. Electrolux shipped me a new microwave. It was received NOT WORKING. Electrolux would not replace and ordered new control panel. Control panel never received, on backorder. Approved a new microwave on 11-2-22 Today is 11/15/22, still have no microwave, & no answers from Electrolux.
18 cu ft refrigerator model #fftr1814twl
Purchased Nov. 2021 & it has not worked more than it has worked in the 11 months we have owned it. It is now out of service & we are waiting to hear from the second repairman. He claims it is the seals! He was here October 12, 2022 & said it would take 8 to 10 working days. Today is 13 working days and we have not heard a word. Fortunately, this refrigerator is our garage refrigerator. We would have been out of luck if it had been our primary one. I am so angry & disappointed with this Frigidaire product. I asked if there is a Lemon Law with a refrigerator like there is with automobiles. The holidays are coming up & we will have no back up refrigerator. Even if we do see the repairman again, I will not trust this refrigerator to continue working. It only worked for a few weeks after the first repairs & it is doing the exact same thing again! The freezer frosts up & frosts hangs from the top of the freezer and on the shelves. The refrigerator part does not get cold. The refrigerator made a loud noise & ran continuously the first time.
Desired outcome: Refund of our money or proper repairs that will last!
Broken part on 2 year old fridge, now need to replace the entire door
Our fridge was purchased on 8/3/2020. We have had two technicians out, purchased parts that didn't fix the problem, been on multiple calls with customer service (including one representative that hung up on me), as well as chatting on line with customer service. Now I'm being told to buy a new door for $400 on my 2-year-old fridge (warranty is only good for 1 year) and I feel like Frigidaire was dishonest when selling me this fridge. As a consumer, I expect my fridge to work 2 years post purchase. Does Frigidaire set their parts warranty for only 1 year knowing that their parts will break shortly after?
Desired outcome: I need a new door and I don't want to spend $400 on it since my refrigerator is only 2 years old.
Lack of service for new refrigerator
Purchased a $2000+ frig. last week on Tuesday the 18th of October. It Has an issue with a water leak on the back of the unit. It appears to be a splice coupling that is leaking, but Frigidaire says they can't even file a report because the system is down! I have heard this for several days now and I am disgusted. What gives with Frigidaire? They can't even file a work order or take a message to call back? Wish I has gone with another brand now.
Desired outcome: Fix it!!!!
Cooktop stove
Do not buy frigidaire products! We bought a frigidaire induction cooktop stove. About 8 months later it just stopped working while we were cooking. Contacted warranty department. They sent the work order to the tech service that said we did not have a warranty. We had to send the tech service the bill of sale before they would come out. A couple of weeks later tech came out. Trouble shooter cooktop and determined he had to order a control board and come back. A few weeks later he came back installed control board and it still did not work. He called frigidaire master tech and told him it still doesn't work and the wiring diagram that came with the cooktop doesn't even match the cooktop wiring. They told him to order all 5 elements and come back on another appointment and change them all out. The tech told me that that will not fix it but he has to do it because they told him to. At this point we have been over a months with no cooktop. By the time he comes back we will be well over 2 months. I recently called frigidaire and got the run around. We have not received any calls from tech service for another appointment to come out. My wife has a home daycare and we have 4 kids we can't cook fir with a fully operational kitchen. Conn's is the retailer we purchased the product from and they should be ashamed to carry frigidaire products. Any retailer that sale frigidaire products should stop selling frigidaire products because they do not care about the customer or honor their warranty. Their should be a class action lawsuit against frigidaire for ripping people off.
Desired outcome: Refund
Induction air fryer range
Oven broke after 2 months throwing error code f022. Obviously still under warranty. Called 1800# 8 times already first three times they said the were trying to send someone to repair it, but couldn’t find someone in this area. Twice they said they would send another one. Now they are saying they need to try and get it repaired first. It’s been three months already still under warranty! I’m going to seek legal representation if I don’t have a working oven by October 30!
Bradfield 78801
Desired outcome: Working or new before oct 30
Frigidaire customer service computer system is down until at least 10/31/22.. I found this out from Electrolux Risk Management. Because I have been having issues of my oven heating to dangerously high temperatures. Which of course has burnt up my food, destroyed baking sheets, dishes etc. Yes repair service has been out, parts replaced and still having same problem on a range that is less than 3 months old.
They have NOT done any service bulletins or issued any recalls!
Laundry Center-Model 417-[protected] / Serial 4E92300965
Laundry center caught on fire drying a normal load, small load and a load with nothing unusual in it. I have attached pics. This could have been a horrible catastrophe had I not been home and nearby to put it out.

side by side 36 inch Gallery Refrigerator

Escalated to supervisor who indicated need another -tech out another opinion.
Presently no way to cool home items except in cooler. Another service call set up no ETA. Rep wants me to call sevice tech directly. These are know issues with Gallery Unit. Cannot understand why was sold this unit if these issues were so pronounced

Frigidaire Dehumidifier MODEL FFAD5033W1 SERIAL# KN15104451
I purchased this unit on 6/9/2022. About October 7, 2022 I noticed that the unit was making a funny noise and upon inspection of the unit I saw that a massive amount of ice had built up on the unit condenser. I have attached two pictures. The ice was so thick I could not remove the filter. The temperature in the room at the time was 74 degrees. I unplugged the unit and waited until all the ice had melted. After 2 days I plugged the unit back in and the condenser immeditialhy began to ice up. I unplugged it and attempted to call the Frigidaire Customer Service number provided on their web site for repairs.
I have now been calling that Customer Service number for a week without being able to reach a human. When I call the automated voice tells me I will be helped shortly and then the phone just rings and rings and rings and rings and rings and rings and rings. I have stayed on the phone for 20-25 minutes each time without being connected to anyone. It's very frustrating.
Desired outcome: I would like Frigidaire to replace the defective dehumidifier it sold me. It should not be icing up after just 4 months of use.
Model #FGMO205KBB Serial #9G50301721
I have owned a Frigidaire microwave for three years and have had problems with it. First problem is it will not stop running and you have to keep opening and closing the door. Second problem is it started shooting sparks from the metal plate on the right. I have warranty with Sears and their tech person said it is shooting sparks because of paint peeling and Sears refuses to fix or replace because they said it is a manufacturing problem. I have called Frigidaire and got nowhere but transferred around from one extension to another. When I told the last two agents I spoke with, they said call my warranty company. I told them I did call my warranty company and that they had already been out for an evaluation and what the outcome was. They refuse to replace nor fix and that it is a manufacturing defect and that its on me!. I am making a complaint to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commissioner against Sears and Frigidaire because it appears that neither one of you wants to take responsibility for this microwave. I did not manufacture it nor damage it and I want something to be done. I am not going to stop here until I get some results.
Desired outcome: I need another microwave oven!!! I am a senior citizen and cannot afford to buy another.
