Frigidaire Single door refrigerator FFRU17B2QWD

We purchased this refrigerator serial # WA92202744 three years ago in 2019. Four days ago, it simply quit cooling. We lost $100 worth of produce, meat and other items and spent $80 on a repair call only to find out that the coolant has leaked out and will cost more to fix than the fridge is worth.

Three years of use on an item that should last 10 years at a minimum is absolutely horrible. The appliance store noted that they have no recourse with Frigidaire and if I complain Frigidaire will likely just say, "Oh, well."

Interesting factoid...the appliance store told me that if I had problems all along and had put in numerous service calls, I might have recourse to secure a new machine under Lemon Laws. Seriously, lots of little problems or one big problem, what does it matter? The end result is the same: a company that produces sub-par appliances, stands behind nothing, and rakes in profits whiles hanging the consumer out to dry.

Desired outcome: Pro-rated refund on the cost of the appliance.

Frigidaire Freezer

Ordered a new freezer, which was delivered. We plugged in and the top part of the door does not close appropriately and completely frosts up. They ordered a new door and gasket - which delivered, and installed and the freezer is still frosting up. My husband had to install the door because NO ONE would come to the house after the first visit. I have called the service line every week for a month and still can not get someone out here. They say they will call back in 3 days and they don't. This has been going on for a month now. Called today 10.11.22 and asked to speak to the manager and the customer service rep refused to connect me to a manager. I am so very frustrated with this. I want a new freezer delivered asap.

Frigidaire Frigidaire top load stainless refrigerator

Puchased top door stainless Frigidaire refrigerator..November 2021

Bought extended 5yr warranty..as extra precautions. Making lots of little noises and plurps..all the time..

End of September..purchase several hundred dollars to fill my freezer with meats frozen foods..filled bottom with other condiments fresh vegetables and fruits..two days later my refrigerator completely shut down.

Frigidaire Frigidaire Refridgerator

Bought a Refrigerator 5/11/22 and it had 2 dents in it, they took $200 off because of the first dent noticed. Later found out there was a dent in top freezer door and now it won't stay closed and it works extra hard and frost over badly! They delivered 3 gaskets to my home and the repairman came out twice and now it is worse than before he came to fix it! am having major surgery on the 17th and I keep getting the run around between the repair company and frigidaire! My one year warrenty will be expired by the time this is done! Nothing is going to repair that dent! The fridge needs to be replaced! It had to have been dropped during shipment or delivery! All my appliances in my home our Frigidaire, I never had a problem until now! This has been the most frustratiing experience! Someone please help me! Frigidaire Frigidaire dishwasher

I called Frigidaire Support and Chat and did not get a satisfactory answer or help. The issue is my newly purchased dishwasher. Although it works well the design of the dishrack does not allow me to insert the rack into the washer. The rack wigles when loaded and I have to manipulate it and remove some dishes to get it inserted into the washer.

When I called Figidaire, they couldn't help because the rack wasn't broken. It doesn't work well, that's defective!

9/12: Contacted FRIGIDAIRE for my Countertop nugget ice maker for warranty service. I was referred to CURTIS INTERNAIONAL Ltd 800.968.9853 for warranty service on this item

9/12: Contacted CURTIS INTERNAIONAL Ltd, they advised I will receive an email for warranty claim.

9/14: Submitted email w/ supporting photos as requested by CURTIS INTERNAIONAL Ltd

9/14: Received case number, and I followed up via phone and I was advised it will be 2 days for response. I will receive an email.

9/16: No email received, I followed up with CURTIS INTERNAIONAL Ltd but they did not have an update. They advised someone from warranty department will email me tomorrow or the next day.

9/19: No email received, I followed up with CURTIS INTERNAIONAL Ltd but they did not have an update. They advised someone from warranty department will email me tomorrow or the next day.

9/22: No email received, I followed up with CURTIS INTERNAIONAL Ltd but they did not have an update. They advised someone from warranty department will email me tomorrow or the next day.

9/27: No email received, I followed up with CURTIS INTERNAIONAL Ltd but they did not have an update, I was on hold for 28 minutes. They advised someone from warranty department will email me tomorrow or the next day. I asked for supervisor, they said a supervisor was not available. A supervisor would call me back tomorrow.

9/28: No call or email received as promised, I followed up with CURTIS INTERNAIONAL Ltd to speak to supervisor that was supposed to call, but call center representative did not have an update. She said the supervisor, Blair, will call me in one hour.

9/28: I waited 2 hours, no return call or email. I called back to CURTIS INTERNAIONAL Ltd but they did not have an update.

Frigidaire freezer

Bought a Frigidare freezer top of the line, broke one within 45 days, all the food spoiled, blood everywhere from the frozen meat. Frigidare took one week before they could send anyone out, then they said it will take several weeks to fix if they can find the part... I asked for a replacemetnt. This is a horrible company and nobody should buy anything from them $ 1300 down the drain. they are crooks.

Bought a FPFU19F8WF pro fridge/freezer set. Freezer failed. Spoiled all of our meat. No inventory available where we purchased originally. Located one at another store. 2 months later no reimbursement from Frigidaire for ANYTHING. Customer service agents work from home, takes hours to get through to someone and they are totally unhelpful. Seemingly NO escalation mechanism. WORST COMPANY EVER! Never again!

Frigidaire Refrigerator

My husband purchased a refrigerator from them about 7 months ago took 2 months to get someone out they came out yesterday and they broke it even worse now it doesn’t work at all. All the food has to be thrown away and they said they can’t get someone in until the 28th. Now I’ve lost over 300 dollars in groceries is worse than before they came. And now no one will do anything at customer service. My husband was hung up on while trying to resolve the problem. It hasn’t even been a year and they should replace it. I’ve contacted the BBB as well.

Desired outcome: Get someone out asap to fix it or give us a new fridge.

Frigidaire Refrigerator/freezer combo

Purchased from Home Depot July 19, 2022, Delivered July 29, 2022.

Model FRTD 2021 AW: Serial # 4A2090 7558

One week after delivery I noticed condensation - water on floor of unit.

Called Frigidaire - they sent a repair person August 3. He reported that the tube was blocked, but didn't specifically state the unit was UNREPAIRABLE - which is what Frigidaire requires.

I called Frigidaire (many times) - they sent out a second repair person. They came August 29. Spent over an hour measuring and taking pictures. They tried to call Frigidaire, but were put on hold for over 15 min.

For some reason the report neer got back to Frigidaire - I have called many times. A&E says they sent it, Frigidaire has never gotten it. I am the go between. I have over 6 calls to A&E and over 11 to Frigidaire.

I have a detailed time line written out which I could attach with dates and names of individuals I have talked to. (I'm 82 years old - can't figure out how to attach to this format)

Desired outcome: Either refund purchase price, or replace the unit PLEASE - AS senior citizens we really need this unit. An explanation of where the breakdown in communication happened -- I have done everything possible!!!

Frigidaire 2018 kitchen appliances in home we bought: 3 of 4 are horrible

In 2020 we bought a home. The kitchen had been renovated in late 2018 with beautiful new stainless steel Frigidaire Gallery appliances. so they were 2 years old when we moved in. 75% of them were/are terrible.

The 2-year-old dishwasher never worked right. The filters were sparkling clean. Servicing fixed nothing. Every load left dirty dishes. Never seen anything like it in 52 years of owning dishwashers. I contacted Frigidaire in early 2021 to get help with the issue and they emailed me a document describing how to use and maintain a dishwasher. We already were doing everything on the list and none of it helped. Replaced the unit in May 2022 with Bosch, which is fantastic.

The over-the-range microwave oven blew a door switch in spring 2022. This is typical of all such microwaves and not distressing, as I can fix easily for a few bucks. But when I took apart the front of the oven to gain access to the switch area, I found that a lot of the plastic parts that are held together with screws had crumbled. These were parts that never experienced touching and in fact were mostly hidden from view. Replacement parts for these items (example: filter cover behind door) are not sold. The working parts (magnetron, control panel) were still viable with the new switch, but it was not possible to put together. It was recycled after 3.5 years because Frigidaire built it out of garbage materials.

The refrigerator won't stop freezing half of everything that is in it. We have its thermostat set to 40℉, but stuff that contains water typically freezes solid and has to be defrosted to use. Attempts to fix this problem have not worked. The icemaker in the freezer is super good at making ice but the way it is designed, the full detector is in a place rather distant from where the ice gets dumped into the bin, so it overflows all the time. If we forget to manually lift the bracket to stop ice production, then every time we open the freezer, ice dumps out on the floor or behind the sliding freezer basket. I had to replace one of the shelves (a little over a foot square) when we first moved in because the glass had cracked. It cost nearly $100. Today it would cost well over $100.

All 3 of these things were already in this condition 2 years after they were built and installed. Worst appliances I've ever owned, and I'm nearing retirement age.

In contrast: the slide-in gas range and oven has been great. The auto-sliding wire rack locked up even before we moved in, so the previous owners unhooked it from the door, but otherwise it was possibly the best baking oven I've ever had, and a very good stove as well. But for health reasons, we eliminated gas from the kitchen this summer. Sold it to someone else who also likes it very much.

So two of these 4-year-old appliances have already been melted down for scrap, and one is half useless. These were all more expensive TOP OF THE LINE Gallery models, and 75% of them are bad (or worse).

I will never own another Frigidaire (or by association, Electrolux) product for the rest of my life. Worst appliances ever. So much money was sent right down the drain. Won't stop them, of course; these are purchased and installed as contractor package deals. Consumers are often never involved in the decision.

Desired outcome: Frigidaire should warranty all Gallery appliances for 3 full years MINIMUM. Prove that you stand behind your work.

Glad your gas range is good. My FRIGIDAIRE GALLERY GAS RANGE SUCKS. BOUGHT BRAND NEW IN 2019 . LAST YEAR Nov. 2022 USED THE SELF CLEAN FEATURE FOR THE FIRST TIME, IMMEDIATELY AFTERWARDS MY OVEN REFUSED TO WORK. SPENT OVER 240.00 FOE REPAIR AND INSTALLATION OF IGNITOR , DIDN'T FIX ISSUE. Spent 370.00 IN June FOR REPLACEMENT OF MOTHERBOARD AND SERVICE TECH FEE. STILL Didn't WORK. THE CPSC , THE BBB, FRIGIDAIRE/ Electrolux, HOME DEPOT ( PURCHASED FROM) ALL HAVE DONE NOTHING AND OR Ignored MY COMPLAINTS. I STILL Haven't HAD AN OVEN SINCE NOV 2022 Ive Spent MORE ON REPAIRS ALMOST THAN TO BUT ANOTHER OVEN. IM A SINGLE PARENT AND DO NOT HAVE A SPARE 1000.00 at one time to buy another one. What's worse is that I bought the 3 piece ' kitchen suite " from home Depot, the Frigidaire gallery over top microwave, gas range and refrigerator ALL are failing and my oven has failed. I spent over 3000.00 originally less than 3 years when my oven broke beyond repair. It's disgusting that these companies get away with this and our " federal and state consumer protection " agencies do absolutely NOTHING!

Frigidaire Frigidaire side by side refrigerator

Bought a new Frigidaire sidy by side refrigerator FRSS26L3AFA. The first week food froze on the refrigerator side ice maker sounded like the house was being broken into.

Lowe's refused to address it. Their policy told me to call the manufacturer as they would not cover after 48 hours of delivery.

Service tech came out and I quote "you bought. piece of [censored] never buy Frigidaire!"

After a lot of back and forth Lowe's brought out a replacement. But first they picked up this one and 14 days later they would bring out a new one as they had to order it. Even though they had 54 in their warehouse!

We get the new one and the ice maker won't make but a cup of ice all day. Frigidaire says because it's a replacement we have no warranty!

Desired outcome: I want a refund Lowe's refused Frigidaire refuses.

Frigidaire Refrigerator

Purchased on [protected] ,model #fftr1821tb5 serial # ba92629577. Purchased at lowes of ft. Payne,al. When we purchased was offered extended warranty ,was told would start after original warranty ran out giving us 3 years. Well last night i walked into kitchen with 2 inches of water in floor. Husband cut water off to icemaker,no tears or holes in line. Ice bucket was filled with water.Called customer support was told to contact lowes,called llowes was told our warranty had run out. How does an extended warranty run out a year early. We were told it would be for 3 years because we were a litte wary of buying one. We are not able to purchase major appliances since we are on s.S. So thinking a major brand would not cheat us . How wrong we were! not only are we disappointed with this but also with the way we were treated by lowes,its like well we snagged you on buying a useless warranty now bug off.I guess thats how its done nowadays with big box stores,as for us i will no longer support either frigidaire or lowes.And i will let my assessment of both companies be known. When did customer service get to be a joke .Thank you ,from a baby boomer whom has lived when respect & product pride used to exist

57 days n counting purchased new dishwasher n hasn't worked from day one 8 visits from 2 different repair cos. Repair service replaced function control switches 3 times n still doesn't work the same part ordered again as ordered by FRIDGEADAIRE MASTER TECHNICIAN. I'm sure I'll be greeted with another disappointment. Many hours spent waiting on phone complaining n wanting answers let alone hours spent waiting for repair service to arrive. Its totally discussing for a product that had a good reputation at one time makes you wonder where's quality control, n someone shielded by the call takers to make a decision on replacement, they talk of buy back or replacement but cant talk of how that occurs. I'm not going to let them wear me out. Repair can keep returning until its fixed or the MASTER TECHNICIAN SAYS IT UNREPAIRABLE After all hes got to keep his status going

Frigidaire Dishwasher

Dishwasher encountered an error where the door would not close while still under warranty.

I called on 8/29/2022 to request resolution, and they promised a technician would come to make the repair on 8/31/2022.

The servicing company called back, and indicated 9/13 is the quickest they could come out.

The technician arrived as promised on 9/13, and manually fixed the door latch, indicating that this is a common problem with these dishwashers.

The company that did the repair has been great. They are called Ace Appliance Repair, and they are professional and easy to deal with.

The latch is now not working again, and the fix the technician showed me is no longer working.

I called Frigidaire again, and they said the soonest someone can come out is 9/27. That will mean I will have been without a working dishwasher for almost a month.

I paid a lot of money for this dishwasher, and it is not acceptable to have it not working for almost a month, assuming the technician is able to fix the problem on 9/27.

Frigidaire refused to offer any other solutions.

Desired outcome: I would like to have my dishwasher replaced.

Frigidaire Stove

I purchased a Frigidaire stove model # FGGH3047VFB Serial # VF21620256 IN April 2022 from Home Depot. When the stove was installed in May the regulator was defective. I called Frigidaire and they sent a technician to look at it. He said he would order one and it would take around ten days. After not hearing from him after two weeks I called and text him several times. He never returned my calls of text. I contacted Frigidaire and they sent me the regulator to install instead of waiting till a tech could come. I am highly qualified to replace the regulator. Now the stove does not get hot. I called Frigidaire and they sent a different tech. The tech came and looked at it and left. I never heard from the tech again. I call Frigidaire again. They send the tech again. He said the regulator is bad. I told him that it was a new one. He said oh it's not the regulator and leaves. I hear nothing again. I call Frigidaire again and teil them I need a new stove. No more techs they are doing nothing. They tell me it does not meet their criteria for a new stove. I have waited months and taken too much time off from work to wait for techs come repair it One Manager told me to cook on the stovetop. Nice rude answer. Another manger told me that Home Depot has my money when I told her you have my money and I have a broken stove. I contacted Home Depot to resolve this issue several times only to be disconnected after a half hour on the phone. Frigidaire managers have promise to call me back but that does not happen. I have not raised or been rude to anyone during my calls to them. We cannot be without a stove any longer. My family does not deserve to be treated like this just because they are a big cooperation where profits are put ahead of them backing their product.

Frigidaire Frigidaire Professional Series Appliance Suite

To whom it may concern. We've been dealing with poor design and execution of Dishwasher, Refrigerator since June 2020.

Refrigerator: lower ice maker dumps ice everywhere and bale fails to stop ice properly, refrigerator freezes anything at the back, shelves, crisper, all of it. Crisper drawer fell apart after the first year. Fatigue of improperly designed and manufactured part, finger print proof finish is a joke. I clean it several times a day simply because the water dispenser splashes water everywhere.

Dishwasher is improperly designed. If you stop it at the beginning of a cycle to add a glass or fork it short circuits, fills the drain cavity and will not drain and produces a code I30. Our technician informed us of the errant design.

Microwave under powered to say the least.

Stove finish is very pour and burns and discolors. Rear burners (seldom used) struggle to light.

One note about the refrigerator packaging. This is a very heavy appliance and a couple of mickey mouse styrofoam blocks doesn't cut it!

We were buying Frigidaire to outfit several flip houses we have done I pray the customers don't sue us. Bad performance on your part.

Desired outcome: Replace them. I see at least the refrigerator has been redesigned. Significantly.

Frigidaire My refridgerator hasnt been working properly for 5 monthes and I just got it in January.

I bought a Frigidaire top freezer January 21 2022. It worked great until May then it started making loud noises and would freeze the freezer and make the bottom hot. The repair man came out and spent 15 minutes here and took the back cover off the freezer. He said there was ice back there and he just let it thaw out and in June it just started doing it again. Then 2 came they were here longer he said my freezer door was left open and he fixed it but my freezer door was never opened. Now I have another repair man coming out my 3rd time filing a claim and they always come a week or two after my refrigerator is broken causing my food to go bad. I paid 1500 dollars for fridgidaire at Kimble Lowe's Tn. I liked it up until ive had so many problems with it now. Like now im setting here with no refrigerator that ive only had for 8 months. That's only worked half the time, My loved one is sick and i have to put his medicine in a cooler.

Frigidaire Dehumidifier model ffad5033w10

I purchased a Fridigaire Dehumidifer on 4/21/21 (Model FFAD5033W10 / Serial # KN04163952). Living in Virginia, I use it in the summer in the basement - so from mid-May to mid-September. Last month, I started getting the "EC" error code and the dehumidifier stopped working. I'd unplug it and plug it back in. It would work for 20-30 minutes, and then the error code "EC" would pop up and the unit would stop. I called Frididaire's Warranty Service & Repair number [protected]) on 8/29/22. The rep said she'd send me by email detailed instructions on cleaning the unit internally, and if that didn't work, I could call back to have an authorized repair service center come to my house to fix it. I received the email that day, and followed the cleaning instructions to the best of my ability. The unit still wouldn't work. I called the Warranty Service & Repair number today (9/7/22) and was told by "Sabina" that there was nothing she could do for me. The one-year warranty had expired. I've had great experiences with Frigidaire in the past (refrigerators) and so am surprised and disappointed that the company isn't standing behind the dehumidifier. It's less than 5 months past the warranty and the ~$300 I paid for it is lost. The rep refused to have it serviced, refused to offer me a (token) credit to replace it, just told me I should have bought an extended warranty. Truly unexpected from Frigidaire and disappointing customer service and product quality.

Desired outcome: Replace the broken unit or issue a credit so that I can purchase a new dehumidifer.

Frigidaire Refrigerator

My 11 month old refrigerator stopped working. I purchased it from Home Depot. They wont help me because I didn't buy the extended warranty. They put me in touch with Frigidaire. They sent a repair guy 10 days after it stopped working, but the parts had to be ordered. It has now been 8 weeks of me calling them every other day to get a new refrigerator. I have told them repeatedly that I need to keep formula and medication cold. They finally put in a (review) for replacement because the part is on back order until October. They say the review alone will take 7-9 days to see if I qualify.

Desired outcome: I want a new refrigerator.

Frigidaire Electric oven model FEF387WJCA

Frigidaire electric smooth top oven began burning the insulation that wraps around the oven compartment. I was using the oven at 350°, then switched the broiler on high. At first I thought it was steam coming from the vent, quickly realized it was smoke. I unplugged the oven but I couldn't lift the top to see what was burning, had to remove 4 screws. The insulation was smoldering and glowing like red hot coals. I put that out with a fire extinguisher and pulled the oven out of the house and then doused the whole thing with my garden hose and called the fire dept. After they cleared the house I looked at the oven and there are 9 factory holes right above the broiler element (one can be seen from the top in the center of the first photo). Why are those holes even there? I've never had an oven catch on fire before in my life. Luckily there was no property damage and the oven came with the house so I'm really not at a loss, but I'm still a little shaken by this experience. I will never buy a Frigidaire product for the rest of my life, that's for sure.

Desired outcome: Stop making dangerous products

Frigidaire Refrigerator Warranty Policy

6/15/22 I purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator online

7/11/22 Refrigerator was delivered damaged (scratched) & refused

7/15/22 A new one delivered installed/setup

7/24 -26/22 I went out of town. when i returned on the 26th I discovered the frig was not cold and freezer not freezing and all the food in it was spoiled.

7/27/22 called warranty company a repair w/o was scheduled for 7/29/22.

Repairman came, he discovered a wire had come disconnected from the condenser (official report on record). 10 days for a decision.

8/1/22 I called warranty # (Electrolux)to ask a question and was told there was no record of any w/o to call Lowe's.

I called Lowe's spoke with Mindy she said "work order was completed and closed" to call Frigidaire it's their problem"

I called Electrolux back and spoke w/Melissa explained again the situation. she looked it up and at this point all she could do was issued another w/o for 8/5/22.

8/2/22 I called original repairman to see if he knew what was going on.

He said he turned in the report and video of the problem. I need to wait 10 days for a decision but that the unit would be replaced, and he cancelled the w/o or 8/5/22

8/5/22 I received a text that a repairman was on his way to my home. I called spoke w/Cess and again explained the situation. She looked it up and saw original w/o and said it takes 10 days for a decision. Call back in 10 working days as of 8/1/22

8/12/22 Called spoke w/James. Decision was made and replacement of unit was approved & letter there waiting to be sent. I then asked him: so if I had not called the letter would not have been sent? He said "Right, that's why we tell customer to call back". He e-mailed the replacement approval letter to take to Lowe's and get a new Refrigerator. I went to Lowe's the same day. I had to purchase a new one and they would issue a credit, a pickup order was issued for 8/13/22 but they did not know when new one would be delivered. I would find out after the pickup. 8/13/22 the old one was picked up and a new one delivered.

Your policy of not keeping the customer updated with status of repair orders and having to call back, along with the waiting period. 10 days! is bad customer service. I was without a working refrigerator for 18 days having to live out of an ice chest finally borrowing a mini frig for the last week.

I am an unsatisfied customer and will not recommend Frigidaire products or warranties.
