I purchased a basic Frigidaire refrigerator with a top freezer (Model LFTR2045VF) from Lowe's on 8/19/2024. It was delivered the next day. It was working okay until December 21st, just over 4 months. Then, both refrigerator and freezer just stopped working. I followed all the troubleshooting tips to no avail. I started calling for service on Sunday, 12/22. Of course, Frigidaire is closed. I tried calling Lowe's and spoke to a manager, but there was nothing he could do since I was still covered under the manufacturer's warranty. On Monday, 12/23, I was given a repair date of Christmas Day, 12/25, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and a confirmation email followed. I was available all day, but no one called or showed up. The repair company does not answer the phone, nor respond to emails. It is now, Friday, 12/27, and after spending over 6 hours on the phone trying to get help, I was given another service date of January 7, 2025! You have got to be kidding! I've spoken to Frigidaire reps in the Philippines and one in the USA, plus two other Lowe's managers with no resolution. Even though I have a warranty through Lowe's, they will do nothing until it is diagnosed by Frigidaire. I have never experienced such poor customer service in my life. After reading the other reviews posted on this site, I would have to agree that Frigidaire manufactures the worst appliances ever. Their rating is rock bottom. Spend a little more and buy from a reputable dealer that will back up their products. I am done with Frigidaire forever.
Desired outcome: Ideally, I would like my refrigerator replaced; however, my gut is to fight for a full refund from Lowes and take my business elsewhere.
