Ur piece of junk def systems
So a week before christmas I got put into limp mode because of ur faulty [censored] design of a def tank. And had to limp home at 88km/h because I use my truck for work weird... And need it to be reliable cause I work up by fort mac. And cant just be coming home as soon as I get an error code because I work two week hitches. Now as of today it just went again and I have 13 days left on hitch and my truck is needed every single day that I work. What is going to be done with this garbage! I cant be out of truck every month in the winter because u guys cant figure this out. And whats the point of keep throwing the exact same part in thats just going to mess up next cold snap. Cut the damn thing out at the expense of gm and I will continue my service there I have been a loyal customer since 2008 buy brand new every time I get a truck. If gm cant resolve this issue I will be going with a different make that I know hasnt had these issues or willing to work with there loyal customers to resolve the situation. Because this absolutely unacceptable to keep putting in faulty parts that by the way are back ordered!
Desired outcome: To remove DEF system from my truck at GMs cost
2017 Chevy Traverse at Auto Nation West Colonial in Florida
My Traverse has been sitting at AutoNation Chevrolet West Colonial since the beginning of November waiting on a part. Yesterday they offered to buy it from me as a buy back incentive you were giving dealerships to provide relief to people's cars sitting and then after all the paperwork they remembered it was canceled abs they can't buy cars waiting for parts anymore.
I'm a mom of 4 small kids and an emergency relief nurse. I need my car to provide for my family and help others. I planned on selling my car yesterday and buying another from you but now once again I sit with no car for an unknown amount of time.
Desired outcome: To have my car fixed or honor that I was offered to buy my car so I can purchase a new one.
Poor service department, very unhelpful. Tried to overcharge
When making an appointment to have a tune on my 2017 camaro the dealer said they would not honor the GM included cost of labor for the GM part purchased. Originally I tried to purchase the part from the Fairfield, CA dealer and they did not have it in stock also said they would not source the part for me. They said I would have to contact another dealer directly that had the part in stock to order. Once purchased the part requires a flash of the computer to tube the engine for the performance air cleaner part #[protected]. The dealer insisted they were to charge me for two hours of labor to provide the tune. I asked why two hours when the job only takes 20 minutes to perform, the service manager acted like he did not have to give an explanation and that they were not interested in performing the service even at all. The paperwork for this part clearly states that the dealer is to provide the tune free of charge and that the price of the part includes the fees. I would have paid the service for one hour just to be fair but price gouging is not cool with me.
Desired outcome: I would like the service department to apologize and have the service manager reprimanded
Fairfield Chevrolet has a very poor service and parts department

On 9 Jan 2022 my vehicle on star system alerted me that there was a issue with my engine/transmission system and please service your vehicle vehicle with in one day.
On Mon 10 Jan 2022 I physically went to the service manager (Paul Karnafel) at Valley Chevrolet, Wilkes-Barre, PA (PH [protected] )
and let him know about my on-star engine /transmission message.
After talking to him he stated that he would arrange a ride for me to my work site on wed 12 Jan 2022 at 0800 when his employees arrived.
I arrived at the Valley Chevrolet at the arranged time wed 12 Jan 2022
0800. He stated that he had nobody to give me a ride and that his employees were busy and could not confirm a time when my vehicle could be looked at. I spent a good 30 min explaining to him I needed to get to work. He showed no concern about my problem, so I left his office and went to the customer service waiting room and made several phone calls to my friends to give me a ride to work. Luckily, after an hour of phone calls a co-worker picked me up on his way to work and I arrived an late for work and also got a late charge against in my work file. As a recently retired US
Postal Service Letter Carrier time accountability was and still is a major priority of mine.
Desired outcome: Manager Accountability
Refused warranty work
I bought a 2020 gmc terrain used. I am very happy with it. A short time ago the backup camera became foggy. I tried cleaning it. No help. The car is still under warranty. I called Walker Motors, a gmc dealer but not where I purchased it Just a matter of milage difference for warranty work. I gave my vin number and they told me it showed the vehicle was made...
Read full review of General Motors2015 Tahoe -has the “Chevy shake “
I have a 2015 Tahoe that now has a bad torque converter so now I have to rebuild transmission that will cost me $4000 after researching I see Chevy is aware that the 6 speed transmission is junk and refuses to recall and reimburse people this is so widespread that it even got a name called the "CHEVY SHAKE"
Desired outcome: Reimbursement
Headlights on Silverado and Serriea
Can you please make the low beams dimmer kind of hard to tell if car you make with lots of LED lights if high beams on. Especially when driving someone with blue eyes is light sensitive. Don't believe that google it? Don't get why the pickups need 4 headlights for low beams? Then you throw the other LED lights in there with the regular headlights you install. Come on how much light does a person need to blind that on coming driver?
Brake control mode
Hello I am writing to you about a recent 2021 Silverado I am leasing. It has 5200 miles on it and the dash lite up like a Christmas tree and limited my speed to 62 mph and no front brakes. Esc abs parking brake light and check engine light came on. My question is why is this [censored]ty part still being used. There is complaints about this system all the way back to 2018. My question to GM is this going to be a 2009 cobalt issue, Because if it is I can't wait to die in a crash. You clearly only car about filling your pockets. Oh and on top of that 2 months for a new part. No loaner. 3 months into my lease and I can't wait to dump this pos.
Desired outcome: By my lease back and money down to another brand that is more reliable.
2014 Chevy Captivia Sport
The engine was blowing white smoke and using lots of oil weekly. I have read that this is happening with the 2.4 liter engines. The oil light did not come on. Needed to replace the engine, because vehicle quit working. Still have payments on the vehicle. It cost 3200.00 for a new engine & 1200.00 for a garage to remove old engine and install new engine .I see there has been a lot of suits against GM on these engines and all are having the same issue.
vacuum pump engine
Engine failure. I own a 2018 equinox. while I was driving down a 4 lane street, my engine stopped running. No warning. Had it towed to dealer. Dealer calls me and told me that the vacuum pump inside the engine blew apart, may need new engine, $8, 500.00 to fix. Went to dealer and saw pump along with pieces pulled from inside engine. Told dealer to pull apart and let me know what they find. I can't afford $8500.00 new engine replacement. After dealer did as I requested, dealer called with an estimate of $2, 100.00 for tear down and replace many parts that were ruined because of pump failure. Engine is OK for now. car has 104, 000 miles. So how does a pump that is inside the engine, protected by engine, fail? FAULTY PARTS. Improper grade of casting which would cause fractures in casting allowing the part to BLOW up. I had oil changed AT dealer 2 weeks before blow up.
Desired outcome: I want you to pay for 1/2 of my bill. to me that is more than reasonable!
Undisclosed lojack device in truck caused failure in vehicle while traveling out of state. It is also a violation of my privacy.
On 22 November 2021, our 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 (purchased in July 2020) experienced failure in the starting mechanism while traveling in Las Vegas, Nevada to visit our friends. The vehicle was placed in park and would not start properly, while additionally illuminating the check engine light. We immediately called a local dealership, Findlay Chevrolet, to get the truck in for service.
We discovered the OBD adapter was not working properly and a code scan on three different devices was not possible. Our vehicle was left at Findlay Chevrolet in Las Vegas for service. Hours later, we received a call from Findlay (Richard Cardosi) stating that a Lojack device was installed on our vehicle and contributing to the problem, and since it was not covered with the warranty, the invoice would be our responsibility.
This device was not disclosed to me or my wife at any time during the purchase of our vehicle. We had no knowledge of this tracking device and the violation of our privacy. Furthermore, had there been any other problems as we traveled, this could have resulted in other serious or dangerous consequences on our behalf.
We are extremely disappointed in this development and the way we have been treated during this time. We chose GM and Chevrolet because we were told the company stood behind their products, had excellent customer service and warranties, and because they support our military veterans. As someone who has served our country, this is not a great experience and I feel my rights were violated.
I hope General Motors, Chevrolet, or any of the mentioned dealerships will make this right and cover all expenses incurred during this time. Additionally I hope they will stand behind their products and honor the additional warranties we have purchased, yet have no details on.
Thank you for your consideration.

Installed a Lojack device on the Chevy Silverado without our knowledge. Was transferred to Smicklas Chevrolet and the truck sold to us without the Lojack tracking device being disclosed.
24 November 2020: I talked with Chris Barger and he admitted they installed a Lojack and said Smicklas Chevrolet should have known about this in the transfer. He said this should not affect the warranty nor the performance of the vehicle.

NOTES:
On 23 November 2020, I contacted Carlin Williams about the service update provided by Findlay Chevrolet. He stated this situation was not possible and was argumentative that Smicklas Chevrolet did not install any Lojack device on our vehicle or any other vehicle at the lot. Finally with the help of my friend, we asked about whether the Chevy Silverado was transferred from another dealership, at which point Mr. Williams said it was received from Southpointe Chevrolet in Tulsa, OK. He also stated that any vehicle sold from Smicklas Chevrolet should have undergone proper inspection and if any non-GM part was on the truck, any expenses or problems would be the responsibility of his company.
It is now 14 December 2020, and no one from the Smicklas dealership has returned my calls or made any attempt to make this right.

Current Point of Contact: Richard Cardosi, Service Professional
NOTES:
On 23 November 2020, Richard Cardosi contacted me about our 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. He stated that a non-GM part, a Lojack device, was installed on our truck and was contributing to the starter problem we were experiencing. He informed me that this was not covered under our warranty and would incur a $379.98 charge on our behalf. He also stated that he was not sure if this would fix the problem and further troubleshooting may be required.
On 24 November 2020, Richard Cardosi let me know that the Lojack device had pinched the power wire and was not properly connected. They removed the device, fixed the wiring, and replaced the OBD port fuse. We were charged 379.98 for this problem which we believe should be covered by our warranty or paid by Smicklas or Southpointe.
Desired outcome: Full reimbursement of funds, an apology, and for Smicklas Chevrolet to make this right.
Backordered Parts
I was in a car accident on August 10, 2021, in my brand new 2021 Chevy Trailblazer. All of the repairs were made except for the installation of the driver' airbag (part [protected]), as I am told the part is back ordered with no release date available. It is now December 6th. I have maxed out my rental car coverage through my insurance company, come out of pocket an additional $1000.00 for a rental, borrowed multiple vehicles from friends and family and am now out of options. I have been making car payments and insurance payments for 5 months on a vehicle that is sitting in the shop with no way to drive it. No dealership will buy the car off of me without the airbag, so I cannot even try to trade the car in. General Motors is almost impossible to get on the phone and when I finally do reach someone, I am told there is nothing they can do.
How in the world does GM sell brand new cars with no inventory to replace necessary safety parts? I need a vehicle to continue getting to work or will be at risk of losing my job.
Desired outcome: I would like General Motors to give me options on what to do here, whether that means supplying me with a rental car or buying me out of the car that they cannot fix so that I can purchase a new vehicle.
Poor radio reception. 2017 buick enclave, with factory certification.
Dealer claims the radio is fine based on their techs anaylsis. All you have to do is listen to the static on FM range from the mid 80's to the mid 90"s to hear the problem. GM is claiming it's do to the faze out of the lower FM range. My 2012 Traverse has no static nor does a dozen other vehicles from family & friends.
I've gone thru 3 levels of their complaint department with no satisfaction.
Case # [protected].
Dealer preformed analysis on 10/27/2012.
Last contact was with Tori in mid Nov.
Desired outcome: Locate the problem & fix it.
Chevrolet silverado 3500 hd
Special ordered a 2021 Silverado 3500HD. 1. They did not know how to install a backup camera on a 5th wheel trailer, that was ordered from the factory when purchased the vehicle. 2. Drove the vehicle on a trip for a month with a rattle in the steering, after the trip was over, the next day would not start. Had it towed to the dealership. After having the vehicle for 6 weeks it was repaired, (the gearbox was the rattle and the main fuse panel was not grounded along with a few shorted wires is why it would not start). I had to rent a vehicle for 9 days because of a trip I had planned and a doctor's visit. I have not been reimbursed for the rentals as agreed by a GM Rep at Customer Support. 3. Drove about 1 week and is back in the shop for headlight high beam not working and check engine light on, (another shorted wire for high beam and charcoal canister for the check engine light). The truck has been in the shop now for a total of 7 weeks with NO compensation. I have been buying Chevy vehicles for 50 years and never have been treated this way or had a truck like this one. It looks like I will have to get an Attorney involved which on helps the Attornies in the end. Get documentation from GM, should be plenty.
Desired outcome: Compensation for rentals and being without my new truck.
Took me 8 months to resolve lemon Denali ans now they ignore my request
It took me 8 months to get anywhere with my 2021 Denali which defected . Then rep completely ignored my many requests for higher up manager to call me . It's been months and several request with nothing . Today I get a notice from dmv that gm still hasn't removed the Denali from my name and there is a motive of suspension from dmv on both me and my husband since car that they have back is still in my name
Desired outcome: Call with manager above who I been speaking with and ignored by

2017 Chevy Trax
I bought the Chevy Trax brand new. It was in the shop the first 2 winters with multiple issues. Started with smelling anti freeze and then within 2 weeks after smelling the vehicle would act up and I would have to take it in. Thank goodness I had the extended warranty because it paid for all of the issues I had to take it in for. Then I took it to the dealership at 1000 miles before my extended warranty was up to have an overall look over and explained to them I was having issues with the vehicle not having enough acceleration power and the vehicle chugging. They said because there was no check engine light on and I couldn't get the vehicle to do it for them, they couldn't do anything. Now here I am 6, 000 miles after extended warranty and I may have a bad motor. And guess what it was due to the low acceleration power and the vehicle chugging. Hmmmm, why do the mechanics rely solely on the damn check engine light. Why can't they look into it more. Now I have a useless vehicle and have been a loyal GM customers since buying vehicles. I'm thinking I may have to change my brand going forward. NOT HAPPY AT ALL!
Desired outcome: Would like to be compensated something because of the mechanics not figuring out my issue the first time!!!
2008 buick enclave
I bought this vehicle used 25 months ago.
the last 10 months of ownership has cost me $ 4, 122.92.
I've only put 6, 782.7 km on it in those 10 months.
wheel bearings, sensors, AC recharge that did nothing.
another sensor, rear brakes because a bolt came out of the caliper and locked the rear caliper and demolished the brake pads. Another bearing and CV shaft and sensor repaired today.
What the hell has happened to your quality ?
50 years ago vehicles were built to last...now, they're throw away products.
I will tell everyone I know not to buy a GM product.
The fog lights locked on when the vehicle was off...had to pull the contact and leave it out. It's been one thing after another. There is no such thing as building something to last. In the last 10 months I have paid 1/3 of the cost of my original purchase 25 months ago.
2021 Escalade
Can someone from HQ please call us right away. We have a BRAND new 2021 escalade with less then 9000 miles and engine has now blown up 2x times. I have contacted a lawyer. This is un acceptable for 100, 000 vehicle. I'm going to slaughter GM brand all over social media. Buyers Beware. I'm filing a complaint on Better Business Bureau. The dealership has had MY vehicle for 20 days about a month ago. This past Thursday its back at the dealership for the same reason. I need a resolution immediately and new truck! This fight is far from over
Desired outcome: New truck
Roadside Assistance
On Sunday, October 11 I was traveling on 195 East approaching an exit with my 2020 Chevy Malibu to get gas however I ran short and called for service. Service was scheduled and then canceled shortly there after. I called back to determine why it was canceled and was told that they have to get a special provider because I was on a restricted highway. I repeated the road I was on the police arrived to see if we were getting assistance and I told him we were I asked them if this was a restricted roadway and they said no cars have AAA and roadside assistance on the road all the time. We were on our way to an important event which we missed and had to make 20 calls to get roadside assistance in the rain and finally roadside assistance called the police because they said we were on a restricted roadway and we needed to be towed in order for them to provide the gas. We got the gas ourselves with the help of the police but after so many hours of contacting roadside assistance the battery was now dead and we needed a jumpstart. Since the roadside assistance did not come but they called the police my car was towed to a nearby lot after eight hours of waiting because it was dark and we could not be on the side of the road any longer. Chevy was going to provide assistance and having my car towed to a dealership however there was an outstanding bill for the tow that I was now responsible for after Chevy called the police and could not provide service. The reason for the mixup with the roadway is that the first person of contact at roadside assistance in advertently put the highway we were on as I 95 E. instead of 195 E. I-95 is a toll road that is restricted however 195 east is not a restricted roadway. I Took a day off work to pick up my vehicle from the dealership and was going to have it towed but that call was canceled since there was an outstanding bill. We did not get picked up Sunday night until 9:00 PM after calling roadside assistance at 8:00 AM. The tow company would not except a credit card payment by telephone and require me to come in person with a cash payment. Since I did not have $385 until I was paid I was out of the car until Thursday. I picked up my car on Thursday and respectfully request reimbursement for failed tow from Chevy GM motors. My phone number is area code [protected]. Please tell me my next step to request reimbursement in this matter.
Desired outcome: Reimbursement for tow and storage fee.
