General Motors buick encore

I bought a car from GMC/Buick, which has almost 35, 500 miles, it has already been at the dealer 3 times for the same thing. I get the car the first time I got it on a Friday and on Sunday the car had to be towed to the dealer. The first time I took it to the dealer was 1/24/2018, was retuned on the 1/26 on 1/27 it left me stranded on ROute 80 Eastbound in NJ. The car got towed to the dealeer until the 27 because check engine light and smoke coming out of the exhaust. The car was release to me on 2/8 and by the time I got home the check engine light went on again. the car is a lemon. I want the car to be return and that they pay the balance on my loan. I am not willing to pay for a car that I am afraid to drive. I unfortunately can't use my pension for a car that is damaged.

General Motors a repair on a 2012 chevy cruze - karen wallize, pennsylvania

November 19, 2017
I had my car to Blaise Alexander in Muncy, PA as my car was running hot and coolant was low and the service engine light came on. Had car towed for repair to Blaise. They informed me it needed a new engine as the engine was blown and my clutch was burned out. Total repair cost $7, 000.00. Reached out to GM for help in this matter. GM agreed to extend some warranty on the vehicle. Blaise informed me that I would owe $900.00 plus a new clutch and possibly a turbo(wouldn't know that until after they replaced the engine. With cost now being $3500.00. I got in touch with a friend of mine who does car repair he suggested I get another opinion. I am glad I did took my car to Fairfield in Lewisburg, PA the car was towed from Blaise to there. Next day the Manager from their called me and said your car is ready for pick up - I said what. He said it was the coolant hose and that it did not need a new engine and there was nothing wrong with the clutch. The car has been running like a top. I informed GM of Blaise' mistake and they could care less, of course, why would they he is selling their product. They were willing to pay towards a new engine, but would not grant me the $95.40 engine walk around check that Blaise did. I am so disappointed in GM. I saved them money by going to a dealer that had mechanics who knew what they were doing, but yet they could care less. No wonder this Country is in the shape we are in they are so big and rake in billions but the people who work for so much less
they don't care about. The representative I worked with through GM never would tell me how much GM was willing to put forth for the engine.. I was always a Chevy lover, but not in the future. The other thing I might add I could have asked for all the repair cost and all my towing cost, etc. but all I asked for was the refund from Blaise and the GM Manager refused that, what does that tell you people. They scam people too and don't care because their pockets are getting bigger while ours are dwindling! They slapped Blaise's hands and said don't do it again and just wanted to get rid of me. By the way never heard a word from Blaise as far as an apology or anything because they all work together..

General Motors 2012 buick verano

I purchased a new 2012 Buick Verano. I had to replace the engine due oil issue with that engine. The dealership we purchased said it would be 1700.00 to just determine if it was manufacture problem, obviously this is a on going problem from the reviews. He replaced a used motor in July2017 after 6 months the exact same problem happen. 2700.00 to get another engine WHY is this engine not working properly with the oil consumption

General Motors impala with lemon transmission

I bought 2016 last year with 22K miles on it.
I know the gears shifting funny and kicking when cruising between 20 and 40. I know because I own GM all my life and had like 12 cars "no more"
I took the car to 3 dealers and they told me I am imagining it and the car runs prefect. And they made feel like I am crazy, they said unless the check light is on I can go home and walk it off.
Now driving back from lunch break from my job coming from taco bell the engine light came on and transmission disengaged.
Now sitting on side of dangerous one lane highway with semi passing every few seconds calling a tow and paying for it to go back to town and take to the dealer.
Now the dealer telling me they won't replace the transmission unless they open it and find garbage and shavings inside it.
So I have to go back to old transmission with messed up gears if the fluid is clean.

General Motors service on buick verano 2012

Terrible service! Purchased a Buick Verano from another dealer and took car in with oil consumption problem while covered under warrantee. Found out there was a bulletin from General Motors describing that exact problem and recommending an oil drip test then a piston and ring replacement if necessary. Dealer changed the oil and did not complete test. Bayview said there was no bulletin. Told by the mechanic to monitor oil consumption. Took car back in after problem continued and was told the warrantee was three weeks expired therefore we were liable for cost of piston and ring replacement. Called General Motors and they claim dealership is claiming that they did not service or diagnosis problem. Since we did not have to pay for the oil change there was no paper trail regarding the problem before warrantee ended. Bayview refused to admit we did make an appointment and car was seen regarding the concern. Now they want us to pay for a drip test, piston and rings exactly what the bulletin recommended. Completely unethical.

General Motors 2012 chevy traverse

I purchased a used CPO vehicle from a Chevy dealership 2 yrs ago. On 1/3/18 it refused to start.I assumed it was the battery due to the sever cold and had it towed to a mechanic. They checked the battery, starter and alternator. All 3 were fine. They did a diagnostic and found it was the timing chains. I looked on GM's site and saw they advertise a "new longer" Powertrain warranty(6 yrs/100, 000 miles). I called GM, 3rd party warranty companies and the GM CPO dept (Ron) They looked into it and said I would need to contact the dealership I purchased it from to have it added on my vehicle. I met with the GM (Steve) and service manager (Jack) on 1/23. I eventually had it towed there for them to diagnose. I was told my engine was junk and GM would only pick up 30% of the $10k it will cost. I had it towed back to where it was originally and have tried to resolve via social media. I was given 2 diagnostic reports as the first one stated this happened due to "neglect" which is impossible. Jack apologized and corrected it to state the true issues all which are NOT my doing. They keep passing me around and are falsely stating on their website they stand behind all [protected] CPO vehichle and arent afraid to show the faith they have in their cars. Funny thing is I have not had one person take me seriously. I am just being passed around from GM to dealerships to Chevy and on and on. I have documentation and pictures for everything

General Motors 2015 chevy traverse a/c

In August 2017, my 2015 Chevy Traverse A/C unit went out. I found it very odd that a 2 year old vehicle A/C died. I have never had any A/C issues with any car I owned until now. I just heard online that certain vehicles are getting reimbursed/fixed, however the Chevy Traverse is not listed. I spent $1, 134.78 on a new A/C unit and blower fan, with labor on August 28th, 2017. I can send a full copy of the bill as well. I also had my Chevy Dealership, where I got the A/C fixed and do all my service for my Chevy, take pictures of the A/C unit and leaking areas, see attached. I love my Traverse and it is the best, most comfortable, durable and perfect car for me and my family. I would like to continue to buy Chevy, but this issue has me on the fence. I want a refund of the expenses I paid out of pocket for the A/C that should not have gone bad.

General Motors 2008 pontiac g5

I purchased my G5 new in 2008. Since then I have had to replace the front right linkage, The timing chain broke at just over 50k miles. Then the fuel lines corroded and had to be replaced. And now at 64k miles, I have a rod knocking and the mechanic says the engine has to be replaced. I understand that the car has 10 years on it but this is absurd for any car with 64k miles on it. I could use some assistance in making this matter right .Or is this just what to expect when buying a GM vehicle?

General Motors 2015 gmc sierra sle dbl cab 4x4

Truck is 22months old w/ 52000miles. I was not in the truck, Keys were in my
pocket and ONSTAR app not activated. I got in and hit the brake
pedal (nothing) put keys in ignition and it wouldn't start, only was attempting
to start... now smoke comes from under hood. I rushed under hood to remove
starter relay... (it was smoking and melted), it WOULD NOT stop engaging
starter. Now starter is smoking, I rushed to get tools to remove the battery
cable (this happens over 4 to 5 minutes), throwing snow on fuse box and
starter, finally get positive cable off... WOW what a mess. $2000 damage.
Truck towed to dealer, no explanation other than RELAY STUCK! Dealer calls
General Motors for technical and product claim assistance.
GENERAL MOTORS CALLED AFTER 9 days and DENIED ASSISTANCE WITH
NO EXPLANATION OF CAUSE. EVEN THE GM DEALER WAS SUPRISED,
I HAVE VIDEO OF SOME OF THE 4-5 minute ordeal.

General Motors my 2015 chevrolet colorado

Dear Sirs:
I like my Colorado and it is a great utility truck. What I don't like about it is the side rear view mirrors. They create blind spots when making a turn. Also, I have cup holders in the drivers door that I cannot use because they are at an angle and the cup would fall out. Also, the door pockets are to small to be of any kind of use for me. Other than that, I really like the truck.
Thank You
Edward J. Takacs

General Motors chevy cruz 2012

Hello. I just want to start by saying I love all GM vehicles and have ONLY bought GM. But I am not very happy right now. I have had so many things wrong with my daughters 2012 Checy Cruz. I am not going into detail about the past problems because the list will go on. I am more worried about the problem she is having now. Her defroster went out on her car and we live in Wisconsin. YOU NEED THIS IN THIS STATE. Anyways she was in almost 2 accidents in the last week because of this problem. It could have cost her, her life! I am so disappointed this is not a recall! I am sure we are not the only ones dealing with this. She is a full time college student and I am a single mother trying to get her through school. We can not afford any more maintenance to this vehicle. If I would have known what I Know now I would have not bought a new Malibu this summer. Please help me change my mind because I have always loved GM and being from Janesville WI I have always backed them and bought ONLY GM vehicles. But I don't think this is going to happen anymore. The cost to repair is about 600$ that we can not afford. If something happens to her in this vehicle I will not hesitate to sue GM. This is not only a repair but could take her LIFE! This should be a recall ASAP for safety reasons! Please make this better for us. If you do I will continue to by your product. Thank you for your time. For my own peace of mind I am saving and reposting this response to hopefully the right person.

General Motors 2011 gmc terrain tailgate rust

Rust has recently appeared on the rear tailgate. GM Service Bulletin No. [protected] records this design defect. I am told by GM that they will not repair this defect as they say the car is outside of the manufacturer's warranty. However this issue is a design defect which GM has been aware of.

GM dealership in Ottawa has been providing all continued maintenance on the 2011 GMC Terrain. GM Service Bulletin [protected] was first released in June 2016. Thus GM dealership should have been aware of the tailgate rust/corrosion design defect and the corrective action about 18 months ago. Yet I was never offered the option to implement the relatively simple corrective action to prevent rust/corrosion on the tailgate.

Now in late 2017, there is rust/corrosion on the tailgate. Had the corrective action been implemented in mid-2016 I would not be faced with the substantial repair for the rust/corrosion. I was never made aware of the issue and never offered the option to correct it before it became the larger rust issue we have now.

GM has formally informed me that they claim no responsibility for the design defect that they were aware of 18 months ago.

I totally agree with you these vehicles are junk and gm refuses to take care of their customers. You can get nowhere with their customer service they could careless. We were told by a gm dealer they are not cold weather vehicles yet they continue to sell them in Michigan. I believe the government needs to step in an hold gm responsible for these junk vehicles they are selling.

General Motors warranty

I own a 2012 Chevy Cruz and during Christmas I was hit with two major repairs costing over $800. I was under the 160000 kms however I have had the car over 5 years. I am planning on getting a new vehicle when I get this one paid off. I think that this should be covered under the warranty as I lost all the antifreeze and I had to get transmission gasket replaced. I have been a loyal customer my whole life.

General Motors 2011 gmc sierra z71 1500 sle

I purchased this truck new in 2010 and have been very happy with it until about 2 years ago. The first thing that broke-- console lid latch-- still under warranty. Took it back to dealer and they told me they had to replace the complete lid so they did-- no charge. Then about 8 months later the latch broke again. So I took it back and they told you are out of warranty--go figure! So I went on line and to my surprise I found out I could buy just the latch for about 5 bucks. So I did and replaced myself. (They lied about having to replace the whole lid.) Now over the last 8 months or so the cruise control quit working, one of the rear shocks is bad, rear window switch is bad and 3 days ago the driver side inside door handle broke off!(Cheap pot metal) Replacement cost-- 109.00 You can't buy just the part that broke you have to buy the whole assembly and that really pisses me off. You are nothing but a bunch of crooks! The truck only has 56, 000 miles on it and it's already falling apart! All by design to fleece the good men and women on this planet. What's wrong with you people-- Don't you have a conscious bone in your body? Mark Douglas.

General Motors 2002 oldsmobile bravada passenger seat heater

my front passenger seat heater caught on fire. Jan 5, 2018 no one was in the car and the seat heater had not been used for days and it happened while the car was parked, shut off, during the night. my attorney suggested to contact you first and give you the chance to make it right. I see from research that I am not the only customer that this has happened to. unfortunately I do not see a recall for the problem. also now my car is undrivable the smell is awful and I am afraid the other seat may catch on fire. My car has 110000 miles on it and thought it had plenty of life left in it. however not sure it does now especially in its current state.

I recently also had this happen in my 2002 bravada. Not to the extent of yours though. Mine is about the size of a half dollar. I started to smell a burning smell as I was driving and had my jacket on the seat and when I lifted it off the seat I noticed a large burn hole along with the melting of my jacket. I had to stop immediately and un plug the contols under the seat and throw snow on the area. Mine happened Febuary 11th 2018. My vehicle has 160xxx miles
