2014 chevy captiva
My Chevy Captiva is having a major problem with the key getting stuck in the ignition.
The other night the key was stuck in the ignition for 2.5 hours. It was freezing out and my infant daughter was in the car.
Last Night is was 45 minutes.
General Motors has had major issues with Ignitions.
The car was not sold in the United States.
They were rental cars outside the US.
The car I believe is actually a Saturn Vue.

I called my Chevy dealer to fix my headlamp connectors, because the wires and connection was melted. I have been replacing headlamps every couple months now the headlamp connectors don't even work. They told me there has been no recall. However, when I look it up there are several complaints about issue. I need headlights please send a recall notice on this issue.
north point chevrolet
Yesterday I took my 1996 camaro for service (Break and abs inop light on) and the service department told me that they would not work on my camaro because it was to old.
What a chev dealer will not work on a chev camaro because it is to old, I didn't know that there is an expiration date on chev's for service.
I then took it to andean chevrolet and they said they would look into the issue.

Please review my case. #8-[protected]
With 3 piston replacements, an electrical system "burn out" while at the dealership, a brand new engine, and a dealer (Sonju) that reported a completion of a recall that they never did, one would think someone at GM would be wanting to keep me as a customer. Instead I get the run around...which will cost me even more in attorney fees in order to reach resolution. It should not be this way. I am so disappointed.
replaced radiator on 2014 gmc pickup truck. 60, 000 miles
Had to replace my radiator on my 2014 GMC 1/2 ton pickup 4x4 truck. Only has 60, 000 original miles. Only driven daily to work. No off roading. All stock OEM. Very easy driving. Should no have had to replace bad radiator at this point. I have been a great GM buyer for many years. Very loyal. This radiator was supposedly not covered under warranty. The GM dealership cost was close to $1000.00. Very disappointed with GM on this problem. If GM does not try to make a settlement with I will not purchase another GM vehicle ever again. I will switch my business to either FORD or DODGE products.
You will be losing a great customer & also my family members that have regularly purchase GM vehicles.
Thank you.
H.Meyer
We had the exact same issue with our 2014 GMC Sierra at 39, 000 miles. Dealer charged $2000 to repair. I think it's completely unacceptable for a radiator to go bad in 39, 000 miles. We were also loyal GMC customers, having purchased many GMC trucks and SUV'S since 1985. Not any longer, though.
2007 tahoe ls "engine light" problem and dealer service
Bought 2014 yukon in 2014 at bob king dealer, wilmington n.c. this unfortunately was not a pleasant experience either.
Wanted to continue relationship after bad start because of location we decided to let bob king provide maintenance / service for our 2007 tahoe ls, purchased in 2007 from russ chevrolet wallace and seviced on at gm dealerships. since 2014 bob kings maintenance department has spent many manhours and i have spent thousands of dollars related to the inabiity of the maintenance department to fix problem. maintenace manager and assistant met with wife and offered $5000 trade in for her car. dont think this was even poor condition and the 2007 tahoe is in excellent condition.
I would like to be refunded for all charges for parts/labor/shop fees/etc.

2012 chevrolet equinox
When I purchased my 2012 Chevrolet Equinox in July of 2013 I thought I was purchasing a reliable secure vehicle for my family. 1 week after purchase I took it to Heritage Chevrolet Service department complaining of the breaks and an odd noise coming from the engine. I was informed that the breaks squeak in the morning after the morning mist and the engine sound was normal for my vehicle. 3 months after purchase the check engine light came on. I was informed that the actuator needed to be cleaned and it was not covered under warranty because it had been 3 months since I purchased my car. 4 months after purchasing my vehicle I had to replace the battery because the cells were burned. Few months down the line I had to replace the window motor on the driver side.
In January 2014 the vehicle was hit in the front while it was parked. I took it to Heritage Body shop where they the vehicle for over 1 month. Once I received it back I noticed that the temperature for the heating and air conditioning in the car no longer read with Fahrenheit but with Celsius. I didn’t think it was much a big deal until I noticed that my air conditioner wasn’t working. I took the car back to Heritage Chevrolet Service department and they were unable to diagnosis the issue and kept temporary fixing it. So now I have noticed that when the vehicle reads in Fahrenheit the air conditioner nor the defrosters work, but will work once it’s reading in Celsius. The vehicle actually switch back and forth from Fahrenheit to Celsius when any type of water washes up under the vehicle such as a car wash or when the street is wet from rain.
In February of 2015 I experienced the vehicle cutting off and jerking back and forth while at traffic lights. I was informed that the actuator needed to be cleaned. In May of 2015 I kept experiencing the same issues with misfiring and the vehicle cutting off and took it back to Heritage Chevrolet service department and the actuator was finally replaced but that was covered under warranty. I had a tune up done on the vehicle before I reached 80, 000 miles. I had been going back and forth to Heritage Chevrolet Service department because my vehicle was burning oil, they were checking it every 1000 miles and has yet to diagnose the problem. So now in between my oil changes, I have to keep adding oil so it will not get low. In November 2015 I have had to replace the windshield wiper transmission.
In 2016 I have had issues with the engine again and it has not been properly diagnosed. I have had another tune-up and replaced the VVT solenoid both exhaust and intake. So today I am frustrated as I am seeing my car overheat because it’s leaking coolant, my heated seats not working at all and my driver side window needing another motor. I have put much time and more money in this vehicle than I ever intended to do so in the past 3 years. I have complained about this vehicle to Heritage Chevrolet Service department since I purchased it. This is my first experience with a Chevrolet and it has not been a pleasant one. I feel like I was ripped off because I was sold a lemon. However, I have done some online researching throughout the different forums and finding that others are having similar issues especially with the engine and misdiagnosing.
2011 chevy equinox
Car was purchased new less than 6 years ago, less than 66, 000 on it. Have had oil consumption issues. Three weeks ago, check engine, stabilitrak and loss of engine power lights started coming on while idling at stop signs and lights and experiencing stalls at same stop signs and lights. Dealer said it was a stretched timing chain and fuel pump needed to be replaced. Take home and return the following Monday when parts are in. When they went to do the service, engine was found to have lots of metal in it and needed to be replaced at our cost as warranty is out. Dealer then offered a 10% discount on labor. The engine is still costing me $3, 900 plus tax etc. I am appalled that GM is making me pay as this the car was regularly serviced. An engine should not fail at less than 66, 000. Customer service has pretty much said suck it up. We will never purchase GM again. Four of our last 6 vehicles have been GM cars and I feel really stupid that we purchased a 2015 Chevy Equinox for our children's use last year.
gm can't produce a part
We leased a 2016 Cadillac SRX in July 2016. One month later, we were rear ended. The damage to the SRX was estimated at around $14, 000. The collision center needed one final part to begin the repairs. It's been over 3 months and they are still unable to get the part from GM. There have been 6 promised delivery dates that have all fallen through. GM has failed to provide any information about this part and its availability. Because they cannot deliver the part or say when or if it will ever be delivered, the car is going to be considered a total loss. We chose to buy an American made car thinking that parts would always be available. We are so disappointed in GM and their failure to provide parts for the cars they manufacture and sell. We will lose about $8, 000 for the 4 weeks we were able to drive this car.
2008 cadillac sta-wgn purchased at kia dealership in battle creek, michigan
Hello Sir,
I really don't know what to say or if I'm sending my complaint to the right department. But I shall send it anyway seeking some type of assistance. I retired from my local police department after 26 years of service, and for my gift to myself purchased a 2008 Cadillac STA-WGN, VIN 1GYEE437780152354 in 2010. I couldn't afford a new Cadillac so I spent a lot of time looking for a quality used Cadillac. For the First 2 years, I didn't drive the vehicle in the winter, just during summer months. I kept the vehicle serviced regularly, oil changes etc... However, starting in 2013, there seemed to be a problem with the vehicle not running right. The vehicle appeared to be burning oil faster then it should. This went on for over three years, and the engine light came on in 2014, but I was told nothing was wrong. As I stated this went on for over three years, with the vehicle being serviced regularly, but the problem persisted. This year in 2016, my vehicle was having trouble starting. I took my vehicle into the dealership again which has been constant during my ownership and was told I needed a new engine. The problem was identified as a timing change issue. I am completely upset by this due to my constant having the vehicle serviced and all I was told was to keep the oil change. No reason given for the rapid burning of oil. Well, I went out and purchased a new vehicle but not a Cadillac, instead I brought a 2017 Volkswagen top of the line Passat. I only bring up my new purchase because this experience has really soured my taste for American made vehicles. Cadillac is supposed to be the top of the line vehicle, and if a company is going to sell them, they should be able to diagnosis a problem with the vehicle. My new vehicle is really nice, but it still doesn't ride as well as my 2008 Cadillac. What would I like to happen? I would like to have my vehicle fixed preferably a new or used motor installed by a certified G.M technician. I live on a retired salary and not asking for a handout, but would like a helping hand. If you can help me great. If not, I understand. I would just like for someone to get back with me, hopefully with a remedy. Please. my vehicle is in excellent shape beside the engine. Just for further information, my On-Starr Service report indicated something was wrong, this report was taken in but ignored.
Thank you for listening

I have 95, 000 miles on my SUV and now I have the dealership telling me I have to get a new engine for 10, 890.00. I have properly taken care of my vehicle. How can this happen with no warning. The only warning I had was when my car light on the dash said low oil stop engine. I pulled over and the car shut off. I called AAA and had it towed to the dealer. There were no signs no engine light nothing. I need assistance with this matter.

November 26th I bought a brand new Chevy Silverado. A black Friday sale said anyone who buys a new or used car would get a brand new 55 inch TV. When I questioned the Dealership on Monday because no one even mentioned it to me They said I could not have a TV because I got to good of a deal. This is not only false advertising it could be fraud. I decided to contact you before I contact a lawyer. Please get back to me about this.My name is Steven Ryan I have been loyal to Chevrolet I also have a 2014 Camero. My phone number is [protected]. My E-Mail is [protected]@comcast.net. All sales managers said bring the truck back if I am not happy. Im sorry but those managers would not be working for me.

chevy malibu 2016
I have had my car in the shop several times now with no resolve. When I am driving I have what sounds like a bass sub woofer in my back seat as the noise coming from my car is extremely loud. When I took it in for service the first two times I was told there was nothing wrong with it even though I took the sales person with me so that he himself could hear the noise. He very much heard it and referred me to the GM Chad B. I spoke with Chad and he swore to get this resolved. I took the car back in for service and at which time was told AGAIN there was nothing wrong with my car. I then called Lou who is the manager for another Victory Chevrolet and he called the GM Chad Becker and explained to him that I have been a loyal customer and they needed to get my car fixed. At that time I AGAIN took my car in for service. I had the service technician ride with me so that he could hear the noise himself. He heard the noise and described it "as if I were riding over rumble strips on the highway every few moments or as if I had a sub-woofer in my back seat". The service department went through my car and said they found nothing and opened a ticket with General Motors. I also have a popping in my drivers seat and my seat physically moves when I turn. This was also heard by the service team at Victory. This was the response Brian (the service manager for Victory) was given from General Motors:

to me
Hi Versie.. I just finally got with someone from GM that could look into this deeply. Case 8-[protected].. The noise you are experiencing is tire noise and is normal characteristic .. They are telling me there is less insulation in the trunk area and they many documented concerns.. There unfortunately there is no remedy for your concern.. They also have no documented concerns with the seat..
This is unacceptable. First of all how can I hear an ambulance, police or fire if I have such a loud noise coming from the rear of my car? Couldn't that cause me to be in an accident? Furthermore, is my seat even safe? If so I would like something in writing. I do not want my children to be a "statistic" if my seat goes and I am in a horrible accident that may take my life! I honestly am in awe that GM would even consider my car safe! I do not blame Victory Chevrolet as they were more than fair with me. I do hold the General Motors department responsible. If something is not done with my car I certainly will not hesitate to contact a lawyer.
buick oncore cut my leg 2 xs driver side door
The Driver side door is dangerous, it cut my wifes leg open and she has neuropathy in her legs from Spinal Stenosis. This is a bad thing here. If a child would slide out of the car and the door came back on its leg it could be really bad. Respectfully, Everett E. Guthrie

2012 ltz chevrolet tahoe
We have a 2012 ltz chevrolet tahoe that only has 64, 768 miles on it. Not sure when this started and the tahoe is garage kept but the dash is cracking in two different places. Mainly around where the airbag is. We have taken it to the chevrolet dealer and we were told it would not be under warranty and we would have to pay around $1000.00 to get it replaced. I do not feel like we should have to pay for this especially when the internet is flooded with other people having the same problem.
malfunction issue with 2007 cadillac cts
On Monday, November 14th, 2016 at 12:10pm, I was involved in an accident that resulted in a total loss of my vehicle. I was exiting off a ramp about to go onto a four lane highway when I lost control of my car. I was going around a curved ramp, applying the brake lightly to the speed of 20 to 25 miles. When I lifted my foot off of the brakes and was about to apply my foot to the accelerate pedal, I lost control of the car causing me to hit the side railing and throwing me into the four lane highway. This cause me to hit another vehicle and then the median. I was rushed to the hospital with back injuries due to the car impact. Also, I was checked out by the medical team at the labor and delivery due to that I am carrying twins. The state trooper cited me that I failure to maintain lane but I lost control of the car's steering. Also, I lost a week worth of work due to my OB had me out for a week.
This lost control of the steering after applying the brake has been a constant issue with the 2007 Cadillac CTS that I once financed. When it happened the first time, I thought I was hydroplaning. I changed out both front tires to prevent such an accident but the loss of control of the steering still happen.
cadillac crx paperwork in our name that we never purchased or possessed.
In August 2016, my husband and I went to GMC for the very first time to lease a vehicle. A month later, we began receiving correspondence about a Cadillac CRX that is also in our name. Before August 2016, we have never purchased or possessed a GMC vehicle. I have spent hours making phone calls, even receiving a case number 8-[protected] from LaWanda in the Executive Offices to investigate how this happened. The vehicle is in Florida. I live in Texas. I called in today to see if the paper trail had been corrected and I was told there is nothing further than can be done or will be done on this case. This will be the LAST time I do business with GMC. Thank you for not caring about the stress leasing one of your vehicles has caused.
fuel system/stabilitrac/control
My wife driving on the highway in traffic when the stabilitrac/reduced power/traction control light came on then suddenly the car accelerating on the expressway on it own and she had to slam on the brakes to slow it down it also gets very sluggish and the check engine light is on. I googled the problem apparently it's very common and a recall need to be issued. I have had all of these parts replaced. The GM Original Equipment Fuel Pump Module Assembly, GM Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor the alternator and the throttle body. The problems do exist.
2002 chevy corvette
I purchased this vehicle in Oct 2001 and have had multiple issues with it and it only has 38K miles. I took it to multiple dealers within the first year of purchase because the door locks would stop functioning on both doors. Now I am told the door module is the problem and this is costing me over $900.
I also have the ABS and traction control light that comes on, and as I have read this is very common on the Corvette and the repair cost over $3500. I would think that Chevy would do the right thing and make these repairs and no cost to the owner because it is obviously a defect in quality. This many cars can not all have the same issue and it be an owner issue.
