We organised a hire car to be collected on 5th October at 12 midnight from Palma airport, Mallorca. Booking number:[protected]
Due to a delayed flight, we got to the pick up point at 12.10. No one was there and they had closed up. We spent an hour walking round trying to find a contact or someone that could help as to where they may have left a key. We received no correspondence from anyone and no one had tried to contact us. We called and left a voicemail.
We were left with no alternative but to hire another car from a different provider. This cost us another £371 which was more expensive than the holiday itself.
No one returned our call the following day. We did looking into the cost of a taxi, this was 140 euros one way and was not cost effective.
When we returned to the airport last night, I went to the original provider to try and resolve the issue. They were extremely unhelpful. When I asked for the complaints procedure, they refused to give it to me and told me to deal with yourselves.
This has caused a huge stress on what was supposed to be a relaxing break to a stressful holiday worrying about money and budget. This cost ate into our holiday and spending budget.
Desired outcome: Full refund for the original car hire and payment for the alternative car hire. £175 + £371 = £546.
