I booked a car on GotRentalCars.com and got a confirmation number. But then a few days later, a rep called me and said they didn't have any cars available at the rate I booked. They said I'd have to pay three times as much to get a car. The price went from $300 to $1000.

This site is a scam and they make money from impossible cancellations. I should have read the reviews before using them, now I'm in a situation where I need to cancel my booking and can't reach anyone from their customer service because they probably don't even have a customer service department. It's all a scam. Avoid if you care for your money. Maybe it works if you don't have to go through their non-existent customer service. But if you need service for any reason, you won't get it. Worst company I've ever dealt with. They say you can only cancel through mail or in their website in the my account tab. Well, I tried doing the my account tab and it only sends me to a broken website, probably purposely because it seems that that is the way these people make money. Please avoid if you care about your money and your time.

This website is a scam. The company is a scam! They should be investigated! They make their money on impossible cancellation! I will be sending a copy of this to each app I can find you on as cheating people out of money at this time and age is not a nice thing to do! My bad for not reading the very small print. I went to cancel and I was told, "oh you're an hour to late to cancel going by their time ZONE! WOW their time ZONE! Oh she did mention that my voucher is good for 24 hours! I'm thinking great I get in at 10:30pm Friday night a little late so picking the car up the Saturday morning at 9am is no problem because I'm still in my 24hour window! The customer service representative, which they only have one because each time I've call she's answered" RED FLAG" now after getting up early taking a 25 dollar Uber ride to get to Dollar Rental to use my unexpired voucher by 9am! Only to find out Dollar Rental hours 9-5 Monday-Friday closed on the weekends because of Covid-19! Now I'm sure that SNEAKY one customer service representative knew this but failed to disclose this on fear of having to refund or issue another voucher! In my book of ethics this is pretty SNEAKY! This is not a nice way to do business SCAM SCAM SCAM if you value your money AVOID ADOID AVOID! But Shame on me for not seeing the RED FLAGS! Some people would rather scam people out of their hard earned money than do legitimate business! Once again people AVOID these SCAMMERS! You have been warned!

GotRentalCars.com has really bad customer service
GotRentalCars.com has really bad customer service. The first person I talked to before renting a car was nice but didn't seem to know much about the company. They told me I could cancel up to 48 hours before pick up without a fee, but that wasn't true. They also said they wouldn't charge my card until a few days before pick up, but they did it right away. When I tried to cancel, the guy I talked to was really rude and said he would charge me $50. I told him I didn't have a copy of the agreement and he just kept telling me to read it. I called Thrifty Car Rentals and they said they weren't charging the fee because of Covid-19, but the guy from GotRentalCars.com wouldn't call them. The first person I talked to was nice, but the last guy was really bad. We won't rent from them again and would rather pay more or cancel our vacation. They need to train their employees better.

Very bad company to deal with you can never get in contact with them once you book a car they take your money and that's it it takes weeks to get an email back I booked a car through them and it changes then to bsp auto then who are in France anyway I paid for the car with insurance I had to collect the car off thrifty in fuerteventura Airport.
that's another bad company to deal with who proceeded to tel me after an early morning flight I had no insurance and would not take our email I received from this dodgy company bsp auto said I must pay a further 224 euro for insurance and would not give us a car until we paid this money I was onto bsp auto they said I took out the insurance its nothing to do with them so it's all a big scam they have going the car for 2 weeks in July 23 cost me about 550euro so take my advice and use a reputable company when booking a car I could have rented a nice suv for then money this cost and it wasn't a nice car I got either

I had a confirmed car rental agreement with Sevens Auto for a rental car.
Unfortunately, my flight was delayed and I was not able to pick it up by scheduled time. I notified the agency and they responded back stating that there was only a 60 minute grace period to the reservation. I was unable to make the reservation time and had to cancel my reservation. The confirmation invoice stated that the company would set aside your reserved auto type if you informed them of any delays and they weren't willing to do that for me.
Desired outcome: Full refund of $85.00
Customer Service
I was supposed to receive a refund from on 19th June 2023. As of today 13th July, no refund has been received, despite numerous emails and phone calls. I keep getting the run around. Send to another email address or my credit card didn’t work. We only make bank payments twice a month! The customer service is appalling and I wouldn’t recommend or use this company again.

I had a really bad experience with GotRentalCars.com. I paid them $133.00 for a rental car from 8-14 July in Oaxaca, Mexico, but when I arrived at the airport, they had cancelled my rental without telling me. They said it was because I was late and didn't notify them, but I had called them to adjust the rental time and they said "No problem" over the phone. They denied that we had contacted them and refused to help us, even though their records showed that we had called from both my wife's and my phone numbers. We were stranded at the airport in a foreign country without a car and they didn't care at all. When we called them again the next day, they still refused to help us and said it was our fault. They even sold our rental to someone else. I asked to speak with a manager, but they refused. I would never use this company again and I advise others to stay away from them. Rental confirmation ***.
