Wanted to start my new year with Macdonald. I placed an order using grab pay via Macdonald app numerous times.
Sadly the food did not arrived and I had contacted McDonald's hotline to cancel my order which they did so, citing reasons its technical fault.
I then surfaced this using issue to Grab Help support, this is in fact this is the 2nd time, i had encounter such issue. The Grab support was helpful and the amount was refunded also for a Macdonald order.
This time round, i too email the details as follow:
Asking Grab yet to credit back the amount. for an Order ID : [protected]/01/2024-185. Amount is $38.15.
Transaction ID: 2ee1d66138b5488f89be889c5f85042e.
To my horror, the Grab support this time say since i ordered via Macdonald app, i should ask them for refund.

Please be informed that we are unable to provide any refund for the order since the order has been made on the McDonald's app.
Since the error appeared from merchant sites/apps, we are also unable to rectify it as it's already out of our hands.
As the reseller, we are not equipped to resolve system/technical issues related to 3rd parties, which is the main reason that the issue should be referred to the merchant for further clarification.
