They have no customer service, everything is automated. They are not secure in any way, and when my card was stolen they did cancel it but did not update me or give me a way to check on the status of the fraudulent charges. They charged me 5 bucks to deactivate the card and order a new one but yet more charges were made today. They couldn't tell me whether I would get my money back. And now since my card was finally cancelled I can't call customer service because they keep telling me card number is invalid... DO NOT give them a penny. They charge monthly fees and for what, to be unreliable? I recommend netspend, more user friendly cheaper and I've never had this kind of trouble out of them.

I cancelled my card about 2 or more weeks ago. I had a deposit coming to it and was expecting a check in mail instead. The deposit was still put on the card. I went to get groceries on August 26, 2017 and was not able to purchase all that I needed because my card didn't work. I will not be using Visa Green Dot card again. Also the monthly fee is ridiculous.

I purchased this card for my 14 year niece and didn't know we had to provide our social security number to activate it. I'm not applying for credit with them, I already paid for the card and not proving them my social security number. I will contacting the Better Business Bureau. I attempted to call ALL contact numbers and NEVER can speak to a live person.

8/4/17 4:30pm CDT. I spoke with a very rude non-American rep on the customer service line. When I asked her to go over my transactions with me to make sure there was no fraud on my acct, she told me "I" needed to look up my acct online, and call them if I see anything wrong. In other words, she REFUSED to go over my transactions. This is not the first time I had a RUDE cs rep. When she transferred me to the survey at the end, I reported her! As soon as I find another prepaid card company, I'm closing my Green Dot Acct!

My card information was stolen . Someone in Costa mesa CA, wemt to 2 dofferent 7/11 locations within an hour and a half of eachother and withdrew a total of over 300 dollars. I have done multiple disputes given factual documents, screen shots of my whereabouts at the time . Even pointed out that when you make a withdrawl it will say either atm withdrawl and a separate transaction will say the fee. Well these two transaction had said "atm withdrawl fee" with the amount of money and the fee in one transaction. There is no way you can make an atm with drawl for an uneven amount . This was from a cardtronics atm. I contacted the 2 7/11 locations and the managers were willing to cooperate and release video footage at the times of the transactions. Greendot keeps denying my disputes. It is possible for someone to install card readers or my information was sold, compromised somewere. I have had my card on me tue whole time and is the only one that exists. This os wrong my money was taken from me and now green dot closed my account. I will be doing a policw report now With the costa mesa police department.

The updated bill pay way is very confusing. It does not show a history of bills that were paid like it use to show before it was changed. Also, you cannot send a payment of over $1, 000.00 per day like you could before they changed it and most people have mortgages etc...way over that amount. I am hoping they change the interface of the website back like they had it .

I removed my last comment after speaking to a corporate representative, but today I find out my first appeal was denied and only the last 4 pages were received. My written statement was the first page out of all the Green Dot reps I spoke to while checking on my dispute told me it was not all there even when I asked if all 23 pages were received. They were numbers 1 of 23 to pg 23. Today I find out only the last 4 came through. I did file an appeal but had I known not all the information was in the first one I might not be waiting for my utilities to be cut off. $7214.39 taken because my Apple ID was compromised my record keeping was send my self a text message of when where and how much that's how the thief's knew I deposits money and that's how the deposits coincided with the transactions SMS was active on there end. Along with access to all my personal information. My other accounts the theifs used have already refunded back. My daughters card was compromised by them because she sent it to me via text to pay a bill for her she has been refunded. Now I have to wait even longer. Plus my account is on on draw down which means when it gets to 0 it's Cancelled that 10.00 is all I got left till this is fixed I have to leave it there so I don't have to wait on a paper check via mail.

There are many better options. If you want to be able to get your cash " Go " somewhere else. It took 28 days to get funds deposited cashiers check deposited via the on line check deposit. Which is another third party gathering your data. I contacted the issuer of my deposit to find it had cleared in 5 days. I again requsted my funds which they again refused to release claiming the deposit had not cleared. Customer service, or lack of, or Totally lack of and scripted will not waiver. Not a good way to build a solid relationship. I believe they " Social Econonomic Profile " which gives them the ability to discount people quickly. Shame on you GoBank member of Green Dot Bank. I would not recommend GoBank. I decided to file a complaint with the Attorney Generals office of California on several grounds to ensure the are being held accoutable for the unethicical businesd pratices.

I loaded 375.00$ at 10:23 pm at a holiday superstore gas station in anchorage Alaska on the corner of Boniface and Northern Lights BLVD. The teller a pregnant lady named Felicia did not give me a receipt so I took a picture of "her copy" when she was recounting the money And unaware I was actually taking a picture for proof that she was trying to pocket the 375.00$. I left the store when she told me it was approved and on my card. Once I pulled off I dialed the prerecorded customer service phone number and went through the props to find out that the money was NOT on my card. So obviously frustrated and confused I went back to talk to the lady behind the counter and when I informed her of her mistake that could have been easily fixed she acted like she didn't know what in the world I was talking about and acted like she had never seen me in her life all the while SHE STILL HAD MY 380$ (375.00 + 4.95$ loading fee)in HER HAND! She hadn't even put it into her till?! As upset I was I calmly asked for my money back again and she still stood by her stupidity and claimed she was completely unaware of who I was or what I was addressing to her as my issue. She tried to get me! It's plain as day! So what do I do?! Well she didn't know I took a picture of the receipt she had that was "her copy" and her computer couldn't print a customer copy for "SOME REASON?!" Yeah right! So I'd like my money back please! green dot prepaid debit card unable to be activated and no customer service could help
I purchased a Green Dot reloadable visa card and loaded it up at the bank with hundreds of dollars. Then when I went to activate it today on June 20, 2017, the website said it would not activate it. I tried almost a dozen times and just got messages like: "We're sorry, but we are unable to activate your card at this time" and "We apologize, but were currently experiencing technical difficulties." When I called customer service their line was automated and would only take calls from people with registered cards. Of course since I couldn't register my card online, it wouldn't take my call. There was no option to speak to a live person. There is no email address on the website to contact them. I googled the company and EVERY other related Green Dot phone number I called said they were different departments and neither them nor their supervisors can help. I feel absolutely robbed.
