On 06/13/22 I purchased a ticket for my father to Zacatecas MX from Omaha Ne when arriving in Kansas city staff was rude and racist my father was trying to explain to her that he had a death in the family and he needed to get on that bus staff told him its full and not her problem I am sorry but if there telling you theres a death to me that should be priority i had to rive 4 hrs away myself to pick him ur from Kansas to bring him back to Omaha Ne and book him a different bus through different company
Desired outcome: staff should be friendly and when booking you guys need to have seats counted for that way this situation dont happen again
Bus Ticket Service, Solutions, Dispute Process and Decisions
i purchased a ticket on 6/4/2022. I have not ridden the Greyhound bus since 1997 from Ft Laud to Orlando. I am complaining because I had no other way of getting to Dallas, Tx but by Greyhound. I looked on the website and saw that there was a bus leaving at 2:pm, I booked the trip, I started calling Uber to pick up for over 30 minutes and waited and No Uber responded.
I paid a stranger to take me and while at the light of I-20 West at Ambler the Bus was turning onto the Highway, after attempts to flag down, it did not stop. The time was ONLY a few minutes after 2 pm. No Grace time was given and your decision did not take into account of my details around trying to catch the bus on time. I was not aware of any type of limitations or policies regarding fare or refund processes. In all actuality I needed a ride to Dallas and purchased a Ticket online that did not show or advise that there would not be a refund in the event the ticket is not used! I demand a Refund. This is Ridiculous and Impractical.
Desired outcome: Refund My Fare Ticket Amount. I would like a Refund. I would like to see a fair not impartial decision.
Broken Down Buses and rerouting costumers
My brother and I got on a greyhound from Washington DC to Virginia and where to transfer to another greyhound to Tennessee on Sunday, June 12, 2022. The bus was delayed because it was broken and so we reached Virginia relatively late also. When we boarded in Virginia our bus broke down on the way to Tennessee. We were rerouted to Atlanta, Mississippi and we are still in transit. This is the worst bus ride ever. Greyhound has not shown any intention to reconcile any of this with us. We were supposed to be in Tennessee on Monday it is now Wednesday June 15, 2022 going on Thursday.
Desired outcome: Really want people to understand it the customer service piss poor greyhound.
Breached contract
We arrived late in dallas then get here and our bus was late then the greyhound employees waited until it was a hour passed to tell us that our bus driver had to go to sleep so we have to sit here 8 hours bad enough my life was put in danger on your bus when one of the passengers threatened to kill somebody and the driver had to pull the bus over so why i...
Read full review of Greyhound Linesbus never arrived
My bus ended up being over 3 hours late. I couldn't wait for that long and had to take alternative transportation to reach my destination on time. Greyhound refuses to refund my ticket even though they were over 3 hours late.
You can see by the attached photo that my ticket was to depart at 9:30am on 6/5/22, but the bus did not arrive at the station until 12:30pm on 6/5/22.
I called and emailed customer service and was denied by both attempts to resolve this with Greyhound.
Desired outcome: I want a refund.

Layovers
We had a five hour layover in Phoenix Arizona and it was only supposed to be a 30 minute stop and it’s because you had no driver scheduled. We also had an 8 1/2 hour layover in Shreveport Louisiana and I’m disabled and we had to stay outside that whole time. No hotel accommodations and no water or food at the location because we were locked outside. I feel I am owed a refund
Desired outcome: I want a refund cause I feel I was neglected due to your company not accommodating for the layovers

Transfer/arrival
I got to the Greyhound bus station at 4:00pm on March 31st. My departure bus from Cincinnati Oh was supposed to arrive at 5:00pm. I was told that it was running an hour behind. At 5:00pm everyone had to leave the station and stand outside in the cold and wait for the bus to arrive because the station closed at 5:00 pm. The bus arrived about 6:20pm. We didn't get on the highway traveling to Dayton Oh until 6:30 pm. Once we got to Dayton, at around 8:00pm, we were told that we missed our connection and that we would have a layover in Dayton for at least 3 hours. I was reissued a ticket. My transfer would be in Columbus Oh (12:30am Friday April 1st). Afterwards there would be several other transfers and I was scheduled to arrive in Philly at 8:00 am on Saturday April 2 and depart Philly on Saturday April 2 at 6:20 pm. I was originally supposed to arrive in Philly on Friday April 1. Since I wasn't able to arrive on Friday April1st, I had to forfeit my ruined trip, and my Airbnb was non- refundable. I am requesting a full refund for what I spent on my Greyhound tickets, and the cost of the Airbnb. I DIDN'T PAY to get to Philly on Saturday April 2, but on Friday April 1st.
Desired outcome: Greyhound bus ticket refund, Airbnb cost refund
Reckless driver
I have called and reported this twice, so please respond to me. I purchased a ticket on April 28th from Albert Lea Mn, to Naples Fl. Conf# [protected]. The driver that drove us into Nashville Tn, did fine until we arrived in the city at which time he got very disoriented and kept driving down streets that buses should not be on. several times have to have passengers back him out of places that he got stuck. we spent about 20 minutes figuring out how to get to the terminal. we had a 2 hour layover there and when boarding again, it was the same driver but his shirt was all sweaty and grease on it also he was acting very strange. he had a hard time backing out of the terminal and getting to the highway. once we got on the highway his driving became very erratic swerving into the right and left lanes almost hitting other cars. it became so scary that i walked up and asked if something was wrong, but he would not acknowledge me. as he kept swerving, i asked him to pull the bus over and again he ignored me like he was in a trance. another passenger came up and pleaded with him to pull over and he would not respond. he continued to drive so i called 911 to have him pulled over, but all of a sudden he just pulled off on a random exit and started driving on a two lane road with a very steep grade. he driving was getting even more erratic and the 911 dispatch wanted to know exactly where we were, but i could not see any road marker signs. this was a two lane road in the tennessee mountains which had a alot of curves and severe drop offs on the sides. everyone was yelling for him to slow down and stop the buss. we finally came to a town called kimball and he decided to pull into a gas station that did not have room for a bus. there was gas pumps on the left and a giant rock wall in front of it and he tried to drive between them and hit the wall. he then backed the bus up and was partially blocking the entrance and put the brakes on and announced a 15 minute break, like nothing was wrong. i got out of that bus and was grateful to still be alive. i told the other passenger that they should not get back on, but they said that it was their only option to get to atlanta. i was afraid to ask the driver for my suitcase and walked to a hotel down the street. kimball tn. is a small town in the mountains and i was stuck there until i convinced the hotel owner to drive me to the airport, which i had to pay him to do. this completely devastated me emotionally and financially. i called greyhound several times without any solutions from them. then i received a message from greyhound that my trip had been cancelled. i also called several times to see if the bus made it to atlanta, but nobody would answer me. i want to know why this bus was not shut down and the driver was able to keep going. im sure you have video from the bus along with video from the gas station and the 911 calls, i would appreciate someone contacting me right away. also i have put a claim in on my luggage, but there there seems to be a long process for that. my email is [protected]@gmail.com and my phone number is [protected]. i would prefer is someone called and talked to me about this. thank you
been waiting for a refund since feb 2022, its almost may
Since Feb 15th, I tried to get a refund because my whole trip was messed up and became inconvient for me. my 2 day trip, turned into 3 in a matter of time. Orignially, i wanted my full refund because of the inconvience, But greyhound refused. However, on feb 18 2022, i was told i was going to get a refund for $50 because of a ride i didn't take. i was told it would be 7-14 business days. Ive been contacting customer service every 2 weeks and still absolutely nothing. It is now 4/29/2022 and i have yet to recieve my refund. This is such a inconvience.
Desired outcome: I would like my refund.
Greyhound bus company couldn't find my confirmation number so I had to buy another bus ticket
I ordered the tickets offline right now I took my money off my card but they couldn't find my confirmation number the next day so I had to buy a whole new ticket and they said my money was going to go back on my car and that was since the 30th of last month
Desired outcome: I need my money back on my car because it wasn't my fault it was Greenhouse falling without finding my confirmation number
rude driver and Crappy bus
The bus driver that picked us up from Indiana to Pittsburgh Pennsylvania was very rude and acted like a drill sergeant to the passengers on our bus first complaint is when he came into the bus terminal didn’t even say good morning he stood there and said anybody who has a re-boarding pass please stand right here so we went to where he stayed it to stand and as we were getting ready to show him our tickets he had an attitude with my boyfriend my boyfriend stated that I have a ticket with both of our names on it and he was like well how do I know that and my boyfriend tried to explain that I was right there with the ticket and he gave us a bad attitude and it looked like he wanted to start a fight with my boyfriend I stepped in and said I have the tickets right here here they are and he was are we boarding pass and he looked at my boyfriend and gave him an attitude and said well let’s just not start the morning off this way you need to apologize so with hesitant my boyfriend did say sorry once we were on the bus the driver got on the speaker announce to we was and what the trip entailed and the rules of the bus from Indiana to Pittsburgh was the worst part of the trip along the way we had a passenger that was constantly using foul language the bus driver did not correct this passenger nor did he follow the rules that they state they will not tolerate any foul language on the bus also we got to one stop and they were supposed to be some people getting off in Ohio and he got off the bus opened up the side doors for the baggage and I think one or two people got off and then he got up on the bus and he announced again anybody getting off this stop needs to get off now once he realized everybody was off the bus he got back on the bus and started driving about approximately two hours later he got on speaker and announced he was sorry the way he acted which I think he should’ve said it at that point when he got on the bus not waited two hours anyway as we were getting into Pittsburgh he still had quite an attitude towards everybody that was on the bus and then we picked up somebody else before we hit Pittsburgh and they lit up a marijuana joint smell like a skunk on the bus I was getting nauseated and started a headache bus driver finally got a width of the smell and announced that this person should think about what he just did and he gave them time to think about it to the next stop instead of immediately stopping the bus and getting the passenger off the bus instead of letting him ride to the next stop he broke a rule and the driver did not adhere to greyhounds rules about any type of smoking on the bus this was my first time taking greyhound from Arizona to Philadelphia and it was the worst experience I’ve ever had I will never use greyhound again false advertisement with new and improved buses we received a bus that had to be really old the seats were torn up there was no extra legroom and we were packed in like sardines very uncomfortable seats with the seatbelt clips that would not move so they kept poking you on the side also when dropping off passengers at different points and getting their luggage they did not check to make sure they had the correct luggage because when we got to our destination in Philadelphia we were missing two items and the driver who had the bus at that time stated there was nothing he could do about it and we had to go inside to the terminal and make a complaint I went into the terminal at Philadelphia went to the Ticket counter and asked who do I speak I was told they could nothing could be done or about our last luggage the person behind the counter explained it was a business thing that sometimes they will remove luggage to put on packages that have to be shipped to different locations and that was a possibility that are two pieces of items could have been removed from the bus well of course after a long today travel we were tired and we were upset and said that is a bunch of BS because our luggage should not have been removed considering we were traveling for 2 1/2 days on the same bus so he ended up just giving me a card to contact customer service which I’ve tried several times I called a number and was told that there is no phone number to call customer service and then I had to go online which I already did I sent a message never heard back from the company and then I received to do a survey I gave them the worst ratings I could possibly give because their service was horrible so I’m hoping somebody will finally find this message somewhere along the line and write back to me because this was the worst experience I’ve ever had and I will never use greyhound again nor will I refer anybody to use greyhound services again due to the false advertisement that they have new buses with extra legroom and we got a really bad buzz that must’ve been so old it could’ve been buried with the dinosaurs as far as I’m concerned .

Misplaced/lost luggage
Last Friday (April 22, 2022), I boarded a Greyhound bus in Washington DC, destination: DETROIT, MICHIGAN. I had one (1) piece of luggage, a
Plum-colored Samsonite Ascella X Softside Expandable Luggage with Spinner Wheels, placed in the hold of the bus.
This bus carried me as far as CLEVELAND, OHIO, where I had to disembark and wait in the Greyhound bus station there for an hour. Then I was put on another bus in which I arrived in Detroit at 9:25 AM (April 23, 2022).
I then spent the next 6 hours trying to find my luggage. I placed a claim with the Baggage Claim in Detroit, providing them with my name, phone number, and baggage number (AA3438146) which was given to me by Greyhound in Washington DC on April 22, 2022. The Greyhound personnel in Detroit - with whom I have inquired from time to time about the whereabouts of my luggage, have been courteous and helpful to me as much as possible in this matter.
But I HAVE BEEN SO FAR UNABLE TO DIRECTLY CONTACT BY PHONE THE GREYHOUND BUS STATION IN CLEVELAND, OHIO. Greyhound gave me 3 phone numbers in Cleveland, through which, they assured me, I would be placed in direct contact in a person on their staff in said station. I have called all 3 phone numbers — and each time, rather than being directly connected with Greyhound in Cleveland, I am connected with General Customer Service, who have NOT been helpful at all.
I AM VERY, VERY FRUSTRATED. I have been a steadfast customer with Greyhound since the late 1990s. Until this past Friday (April 22, 2022), I have received very good service from Greyhound. Now, given what I have now been put through, I will likely NOT use Greyhound again for long distance travel. Nor will I recommend Greyhound to anyone.
Desired outcome: The return of my luggage with all of its contents.
I would like to say that, as of April 25, 2022, Greyhound did find my luggage. I called the Detroit bus station, who informed me that my luggage had belatedly arrived there earlier that day. I later proceeded over to the station, showed my baggage claim number, and had my luggage returned to me.
Before leaving the bus station, I checked the contents of my luggage. ALL OK.
I will be returning to my home on the East Coast on April 30th, 2022 --- via Greyhound.
Refund / voucher
Bus fares and cancellation
On June 18,2021, I booked for 3 people, myself, my husband and grandson. My husband could not make it due to covid testing positive. I was unable to get any refunds.
On March 15, again I booked a for 3 people round trip, but my husband got sick and couldn't make it. So, my son drove us back home to see his dad. No refund again
On April 7th, I booked for 2 people round trip, our flight was cancel, so I had to cancel. and no refund again.
Also, I have also express my concern, when booking elite, I got no privileges'!
My husband is very unpredictable, he is a disable veteran, is currently on oxygen. So I try planning his doctor trips in advance, to always be prepared.
Is there any flexibility, I had lost about 300 dollars recently in fares, money we don't have. I would really appreciate if you would consider any reimbursement, voucher or something. Sadly, but I don't drive out of town, need the bus. Thank you
Desired outcome: Refund Voucher
Rude, disrespectful customer service, in Dallas terminal April 10, 2022( sunday))
Been here since this a.m. after one 3 hour layover, in LA. Where a driver had to be flown in from Vegas. Bus was extremely overcrowded, smelly and half the people to rear of bus took off face masks. The driver, she tries to make up time by cutting our meal breaks down to 20 min. But everyone did not have time to get thru line before she walks in and yet, shaves another 7 min. Off meal break . Alot of customers didn't get their first meal break, at Mac Donald's. Including myself. Then, after seated next to a man, who feels the need to masturbate in the seat next to me. His movements against me, cause of tight seating space, woke me up. I was frightened and pretended to be asleep, the following stop, he got off. Then, a flat tire. Driver would not pull over, tried to make it to next stop, but tire wrapped around axle, causing it to smoke & spark and passengers screaming demanding him to let us off before sparks and fire. Finally tire wrapped around axle locked up bus and got stuck on hill. Waited another 2 hours. And had to unload all our luggage ourselves and keep it with us til other bus arrived. Then, we make it to Dallas but too late for bus. So been issued another reissued ticket. For 8p.m. been waiting, standing in line since 7:30p.m. it is 10:26p.m. and bus just now coming. This has been a nightmare. I request a partial or full refund. Thank you. of
Desired outcome: I request a partial or full refund. Ermefstine E. Brown ./ conf.# [protected], 4/ 7/2022, date of purchase.

It is 9 Am 4/10/22 and I am seeking a refund in advance of the scheduled Departure.
Customer service informed me it is non refundable, however considering the circumstances and my proactively trying to resolve before said departure I am asking for a refund on the fare.
I am filling a dispute with my bank and cardholder for goods or services not received on the transaction and only hope for an ethical return of funds.
Please and Thank you.

Desired outcome: Ethical refund of fare requested before said departure.
Bus tickets
My grandson and his girlfriend purchased tickets to go to cleveland from buffalo ny on april 13th to 15th for college. Their itinerary was cancelled and this trip had to be canceled. I understand the policy of no refund only exchange. Called customer service and tried to get answers but couldn't. They insisted that i could reschedule but had to have dates to do so or my ticket would be void. Also pulled up other customers tickets and told me that i already traveled april 8th which today is april 9th. Our only ask was that there be a voucher of sort that would allow travel when they have a destination. The rep told me that i can call next month if i know where and when they are to go and i pressed her as to how she knew if i used these tickets or not and no answer, out and out lies so many times and if you want a manager, oh no, they wont come on the phone. So they get to keep your money while you in good faith try to "exchange" your ticket.S kept telling me its policy but there is no policy stating that.
Desired outcome: JUST TO ABLE TO USE THESE TICKETS AS STATED WITHIN ONE YEAR, I WANT SOMEONE TO CALL ME AND EXPLAIN HOW THIS DISPICABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE INTERACTION IS THE FACE OF GREYHOUND
