GTX is a must visit dealer if you lookin to buy a car
GTX is a must visit dealer if you lookin to buy a car. The owners of this biz and their sales staff ain't just lookin to sell a car, they lookin to earn a customer for the many years ahead.
The whole experience was easy, no pressure and no waste of my time
The whole experience was easy, no pressure and no waste of my time. Our sales person, Paul, is someone I've already recommended to others. Purchasing the car was a breeze. I was impressed at how efficient and professional everyone was. They definitely earned my repeat business.
I had problems with my car when I bought it
I had problems with my car when I bought it. They tried to fix it at their service center but didn't. After I told them, they sent me to another place where the issue got a little better, but it came back after about a week. When I called to inform them, they said they had already done more than enough for me. I expressed that this had been a negative experience and the manager told me that I just enjoy complaining and challenged me to confront him in person so we could resolve it like adults. It was unprofessional overall, especially considering that I have a $14,000 problematic car.
I didn't buy a car from GTX Auto Group because of my conversation with the sales manager, John M*** (might be spelled wrong)
I didn't buy a car from GTX Auto Group because of my conversation with the sales manager, John M (might be spelled wrong). He was really rude and talked down to me when I asked about some information that I felt was misleading, not from the dealership but from the bank. He had a very unprofessional tone on the phone that made me feel belittled and embarrassed, even though I didn't have any reason to be ashamed. Nobody made an effort to help me in the best way possible or really tried to get me a vehicle here. It was like I wasn't good enough. John even made a point of mentioning my student loan collections accounts, which I didn't know could actually affect getting a vehicle. Again, the tone was very... uninterested and honestly like I was bothering him. Before John hung up on me, I politely told him I would pass on the vehicle after he shamed me for my student loan debt and the charge off from my last car. I went through a tough time with COVID and missed payments, so I ended up paying off my vehicle a few months later because I didn't want to damage my credit any more. So I guess having student loans and paying off your car during a pandemic isn't important to the professionals at GTX Auto Group.
Get a warranty!
Get a warranty! They just buy their cars at auction, so they don't know anything about them or aren't willing to call out any issues if they do. Sales guy Gary didn't really do anything besides pull it out and let me test drive it. He didn't know the answers to any questions I asked. Nice guy, but he was zero help. After I bought a $21k truck and brought it home, I immediately started having issues. The truck wouldn't even start. Eventually, I found a wire that was grounding out. Also, shortly after, the Brake, Traction Control, and ABS lights all came on and won't turn off. This makes me think they reset the error codes before I test drove it. I took it to the mechanic who told me it's the ABS control module, which costs $2k to fix with a new part and $1.1k with a used part. I called up GTX for four weeks straight and talked to Rob, the "sales manager," who gave me the runaround. He literally promised every day to call me back but never actually did it. They said they could get the part for less than $400. I asked if they would buy it, and I'd pay to have it installed. Nope. So just know they are willing to lie. So if you still use them, which I never would again, you need to make sure they give you a warranty. That way, when you realize the vehicle you just bought has all kinds of problems by the time you get home, you're not just screwed.

I recently had some issues with my car from GTX Auto Group, Inc. The transmission was slipping and the head gasket was blown. It was a real bummer.
for the car, and now I have to spend more money fixing the transmission
for the car, and now I have to spend more money fixing the transmission. They should have told me about this issue before selling me the car. It's really frustrating and disappointing. I trusted them, but they let me down. I won't be going back to GTX Auto Group, Inc. for any future purchases.
I want my $300 back 'cause I needed it to hold the car 'til I could get financing
I want my $300 back 'cause I needed it to hold the car 'til I could get financing. The plan was to put $500 down in total. But the finance guys said I gotta come up with about $2500, which I couldn't do.

I visited their website to purchase a car
I visited their website to purchase a car. I got approved, but then they told me I had to bring in an additional $1634 on top of the $2500 I was planning to put down. They also mentioned that the monthly payments would increase by $110. I strongly advise against dealing with them! They ran my credit multiple times, causing me to lose 14 points.
I just bought a car from GTX Auto Group, Inc
I just bought a car from GTX Auto Group, Inc. I live in ***. They delivered the car to me on 7/6. But guess what? The AC stopped working after just a few days of driving. I work at a *** dealership here in ***, so I asked one of our techs to take a look. Turns out, it's not just the AC that's busted. There's also a coolant leak, an oil leak, and the motor mounts are completely shot. I've been trying to get in touch with the dealership non-stop ever since I noticed these issues. But you know what? The Sales Manager, John, has completely disappeared on me. It's been a couple of weeks and I haven't heard a peep from him. I've been leaving messages with his sales staff, hoping for a call back, but so far, nothing. I haven't been able to drive this car since 7/8 because it's in such bad shape.
I wrote a review on GTX Auto Group's website about the bad experience I had buying a car from them
I wrote a review on GTX Auto Group's website about the bad experience I had buying a car from them. In less than 3 days, the check engine and VSC lights came on. I think they just reset the lights without actually fixing the problem. In the end, I had to pay an extra $2,321.21 for repairs. GTX contacted me and left a voicemail saying they could either fix it or give us a discount. But by that time, the car was already at the shop and I couldn't bring it back to GTX. My son needed the car fixed right away because he needed a 4-door car to bring his baby home from the hospital. That's why I bought this car in the first place. I sent the receipts to GTX as they asked, but I haven't heard anything from them since.
I bought a van in February and also got GAP insurance and a warranty
I bought a van in February and also got GAP insurance and a warranty. Then I paid off the vehicle and sold it to a dealer in November . I reached out to GTX Auto to cancel the gap and warranty and get a refund for the unused part. I was working with ***. She said it's no problem and I had to fill out a form and verify the mileage. I finished the paperwork and sent it back to them in early November. But until now, I haven't received the refund from the warranty and GAP cancellation. They keep telling me to contact *** the company that handles the GAP and Warranty. *** tells me to go back to GTX. Today, I pushed a bit harder when I talked to *** and they confirmed they got the documents from GTX on 11/17 and canceled the policy. However, GTX hasn't refunded me the prorated amount of the GAP and warranty, and it's been almost two months since it was canceled. I really need to get the prorated amount back because I deserve it.
I bought a truck from GTX Auto Group, Inc
I bought a truck from GTX Auto Group, Inc. on January 17th, 2022. It's been 45 days and I still haven't gotten the memorandum title to register it in my name. I called and emailed the dealership multiple times, but only got some answers when I called back on March 3rd, 2022. The General Manager told me that the auction house was behind and that they would have the title for me next week. They asked me to buy a 30-day tag and said they would reimburse me, but they haven't given me anything in writing. I filed a complaint with the *** Attorney General's office as the BMV instructed. When I talked to them about it, they told me that the dealership hadn't even transferred the truck title into their name yet. This worries me because it seems like this issue could drag on without a clear resolution date. I know they're breaking *** Law in this situation, and it's entirely their fault. I know I have the option to cancel the truck purchase right now because they breached the contract. I'm trying to resolve this problem so I can get my title, especially considering the current used car market. In my last email, I asked for my title to be delivered by March 11th, which I think is more than reasonable.
Niko was really rude and not professional at all
Niko was really rude and not professional at all. I wish I didn't buy a car from there. He yelled at me in his office when I was asking questions and signing the contract. He said "I don't have to sell you this car" and told me that he gets to decide if he wants to sell me anything because he's the financial officer. After I left with the car, I sent him a copy of the registration and the title like he asked. But then he kept calling and bothering me, saying he didn't get it. He even threatened to take my car and make me lose the money I already paid to the bank. I told him many times that I already gave him the documents he wanted a month ago and to please stop bothering me. But he just kept yelling at me on the phone and bothering me. I called the bank that gave me the loan and they said he can't take the car because the lien is with them. He just wanted the documents to check them. He could have gotten the title and registration from the state, it's public information. But he kept bothering me for the documents I already gave him, even after I told him to stop. I forwarded the email with the documents I sent a month ago and asked him not to contact me again. I also told the regional financial representative about his behavior. Niko's behavior is not okay. I don't know what else to say because he threatened to take my stuff and called me many times after I asked him to stop.
We bought a car from GTX Auto Group on 9/12/22
We bought a car from GTX Auto Group on 9/12/22. When we test-drove the vehicle on 9/8/22, the check engine light came on, so we didn't buy it right away. The dealership called us on our way home and said their mechanic ran diagnostics and found that the "EVAP" (Evaporative Emission Control System) sensor was the cause. While talking on the phone, we googled possible causes and told them we were worried because it could mean serious issues. We talked about it a lot. The next day, the dealership called and said the EVAP problem happened because the fuel cap wasn't tightened, and the problem was COMPLETELY fixed. The salesman said they drove the car and there were no more EVAP concerns. We bought the car on Monday, 9/12/22, and the check engine light had been turned off or reset. A day after bringing the car home, we noticed an oil leak, and the check engine light came on again while driving. We took the car to our trusted mechanic. GTX tells people to bring the car back to them if there's a problem and promises to reduce repair costs, but we didn't trust their judgment. Our mechanic correctly diagnosed the problem, which was EVAP issues and oil leaks that would be expensive to fix. Before buying the car, we specifically asked the salesman if it had leaked oil (the salesman showed us a service record that mentioned a gasket replacement done by the dealership, which made us ask). He clearly said, 'no', the car hadn't had any oil leak problems. This dealership is dishonest and does fraudulent things. We think they turn off the check engine lights to sell the car quickly and get away with it because they sell used cars, and customers agree to the "as-is" clause. We know we bought a used car and there could be potential problems, but we think they hid or didn't tell us about the problems this car had.
