HEB Manager 45 having sex with my teenage daughter.
During 2019, my then 17-year-old daughter was employed at H.E.B. #68 located at 5800 W. SLAUGHTER LANE (Circle C) Austin, Tx. During her employment, a sexual relationship began with one of her managers, Elmer Francisco Sanchez. This manager was 45 at the time. I will not post details, but I was informed that during this relationship, the manager was emotionally abusive, monitored my daughter’s phone, and would take her off cashier duties to work outside collecting carts if she was not submissive to his requests. This relationship went on for over 3 years.
I filed an incident on the HEB Ethics and compliance site on June 17, 2022, Report Key: [protected]. After no repose, I reached out to ethics and compliance and received a response from Nancy Doan. After sending multiple communications her only response was that she understood our concerns, we are investigating this matter, this is a private matter, and our daughter is an adult.
17 is the age of consent in Texas and removed the possibility of criminal and civil proceedings. However, 18 is the age of majority in Texas and the age with which someone legally becomes an adult. Most importantly, this is my child and my only child! The callousness of HEB’s response to our situation is appalling.
Desired outcome: Termination of Elmer Francisco Sanchez and psychological care reimbursement for life as well as modifications to employee policy and training
Allied Universal Security
This incident occurred on 01/11/2023 at 12:32 PM at the HEB on 12407 N. Mopac Expressway, Austin TX 78758. A security guard named Robert S. I believe, hired by Allied Universal Security Services, prominently appeared in front of me in a coordinated effort with the MetroAccess bus to obstruct and capture me on his body cam without permission. After...

To whom it may concern, My daughter found some mini-Minecraft figures in a box that was labeled on sale for.99 cents from original price, so she grabbed 3. when we paid at the cash register, the price was $3.98. We told the cashier, and she went to check. She told us it was in the wrong place, and she could only give me 1 for the clearance price. That i...

On Jan 3 2023 I stopped at HEB at Las Palmas (Gen McMullen) for a few items. I entered the store at approximately 10:40 pm. I had a few items to pick-up when the 11:00 close time announcement was made. These items were at the other end of the store. The security guard stopped me at around 11:05 and said I could only place items located in that row and not to proceed beyond that row, that I had to head to checkout. I no doubt believe that he was following orders from the "manager" since he was even apologetic. I instead left the few items I had in the cart and walked out. Where I waited for other customers who had apparently been subjected to the same treatment. I have never experience such customer treatment from any other HEB, especially those near my work place, Huebner and Wurzbach. This amounts to sorry [censored] customer service, incompetent management at a store already poorly stocked and extremely dirty. Is it now "customer service" policy of HEB to turn away customers who arrive before closing time and are in the store up to 5 to 8 minutes after closing time? I, along with other customers that were there that night, are prepared to test the practice and policy of this incompetent manager and HEB. We are prepared to record and post to various social media outlets the policy and practice of this manager as supported and encouraged by corporate HEB.
Desired outcome: Replace management
Rotisserie chicken
I picked up a rotisserie chicken a few days ago from the H‑E‑B in Humble, TX address 12680 W Lake Houston Pkwy Houston, TX 77044 United States. There were many on the shelf and when I got home the one I grabbed had a sticker with an expiration date that stated “12/30/21”. I assumed it was a misprint because that meant it would’ve been expired one year ago. I decided to go ahead and cook the chicken any way to see if anything else was out of the ordinary. When I got to the carcass it looked very odd and discolored. I have attached photos below. I would like to be refunded or receive store credit for the misprinted expiration.
Desired outcome: Refunded

I called to prepay and was on hold to a ringing phone for over 7 minutes, that's if you don't count the preliminary automatic response to find out about covid and if you're a nurse, a patient or if you want to prepay. In that case, I was on the phone for a total of 9 minutes. This is not the first time and it's frustrating.
When I go inside the store, I see how hard everyone is working, it's not like they are just standing around.
The corporate office needs to find a solution for this inconvenience. You push how HEB has so many options to better facilitate the customer, but that is not the case if there is no one available to answer the phone and assist with questions, set up delivery, pay for prescriptions.
I expect a response for solutions, not an "I sorry."
Thank you

Being threatened by the store manager
I was in the store on 12/13/22 around 6:45pm checking out. The cashier says there is a limit on Srirachi, you can only get one. I said there's no sign stating there is a limit. She said it's been that way for a while. I said I bought two about two months ago. After checking out I go to Customer Service to speak to the front end manager who calls for the...
Read full review of H-E-BEmployee at the bakery department Schertz, Texas
I was looking for the advertisement for the HEB meal simple mesquite bbq chicken. I walked over to the bakery department a young black man told me to go to the deli department. There I spoke to a nice man by the name of Mark and he said that the bakery department was in charge of that department. He was kind enough to walk with me and look for them. They did not have any ready at 2:45 p.m. I walked back to the bakery department to tell the young man that his department was in charge of it just in case he was not aware of it. To my surprise, he said that he was not in charge of it and did not care about it being in his department, and started to laugh. I was shocked at the way he was being so rude that even the other ladies working next to him could not believe that he spoke that way. With that type of customer service, I just walked away and decided to not wait for the chicken. I left the store and drove to Costco and picked up the bbq chicken that they always have. It's getting to where I hate to shop and spend my hard-earning money with people that hate the job they are doing.
Desired outcome: I purchased the few items I had and decided to not continue to get anything else and just left the store.
service no baggers in store
Since when do I have to bag my own groceries at the kitty hawk store
is this store turning into a warehouse type of store If I have to do that, then I expect to have better pricing .
Do Alamo heights customers have to bag their own groceries? or the store on wilderness oak?
Are we considered low income area. The products in the store reflect that, I have to go to 281 - BLANCO OR ALAMO HEIGHTS to get the brands / food I am looking for.
I just spend 209.00 on 30 items at Kitty Hawk --- the only meats i bought was ground beef and 1 steak Also nothing was under 2.98. UNREAL
I do know a lot is because of our stupid administration's policies.
BUT
I know everything is increasing, but if you have to resort of cutting services, then you should be able to reduce pricing. Your overhead is reduced when you don't have to pay baggers.
Desired outcome: lower pricing
Employee competence / re laredo hebstore (mcpherson)
Please require a test for basic math , reading, interpretation, and commonsense. Your store hires children to do the shopping for delivery orders, yes I have seen them , ... don't hire based on resumes , these don't reflect much.
As a retired teacher I say this from experience.
The youth of today lack many skill sets in math, English, basic reading and common sense.
An era of kids that got trophies for "participation " got awards for just showing up. these are the same kids that will expect a wage just for showing up to work.
ALSO please record all complaint calls and the name of the service provider that took the call...please record for quality of service provided.
Your phone clerks have a NONCHALANT ATTITUDE towards customer service...
If the person reading this has no clue what the word NONCHALANT means, then you are part of the problem.
Desired outcome: Test your employees for basic math , English, reading and problem solving...don't go on resumes. what is out there is quite scary. they are in all service industries. grocery stores, MALL, Beauty shops, auto repair
Hill country fare can mix fruit
I purchased a can of HCF fruit cocktail and as I was eating this, I swallowed a long stem that had like 3 long stems attached to it, causing me to choke. I saved this and took pictures. I think it is best to put on your cans a warning that these stems may be in with the fruit. Thank you, Tamera Castillo Bleakney
This is the Generic response I received back and only After I contacted the BBB.
Dear Ms. Castillo-Bleakney
We strive to provide quality products for a great value, so it disappoints us to read that you were not satisfied with our Hill Country Fare Fruit Cocktail.
Why is HEB taking out the national brands and replacing them with cheap brands from Mexico specifically in the cookie department they used to have a great selection now not so much I mean it's okay if you like Mexican cookies the last time I checked this was still America why can't we have American cookies?
Rude manager
I have been a customer of Heb since I moved to Texas about 22 years ago. I have been shopping my neighborhood Friendswood Tx store for the last eight years.
2 1/2 years ago I became a shopper and have done 7000 shops in that store in the past 2 1/2 years. So I know them well!
Nov 30, 5 :30pm as I was checking out my own personal order, there weren’t enough lanes open and there was a line to check out and a woman came behind me with her cart, and I thought the lane beside her was open. There was a person standing there, bagging someone’s groceries, and said to her, you could go over there and not wait
Someone immediately says very rudely, to me and the other customer I was trying to help, the lane is closed.
At first, I was caught off guard by the condescending tone, so I say to this young man “ Stephen the service manager,”
I was just trying to help this woman, he says to me; it’s not your job to help this woman. I’m standing there in amazement that I’m being talked to this way. I’m a 60 year old woman and here’s a 25-year-old boy going off on me for trying to help someone. And he won’t stop talking.. in complete exasperation, I say to him “shut the F up, I was just trying to help this woman”, who is actually standing beside me at this point shaking her head at him.
He yells out your a shopper ( at that moment I was a customer) And runs into the office. After I finished checking out my personal order, I went into the office to be yelled out again by him in front of the store Director Christina, he says to me get out you’re banned. She never asked why this happened, they didn’t care.
He of course, never admit it to his rude, obnoxious behavior to a CUSTOMER!
The following day December 1, another manager called to tell me, this young man chose to write my place of employment . I have also been banned from ever going into that store again.
I can’t believe a store manager can go off on a customer and the customer react and get banned, lose job, who I wasn’t working for at the time, but also …corporate backed up these decisions.
You can’t make this stuff up.. that’s how insane it is..to add insult to injury.. For the past 1 1/2 years been baking cookies and brownies for their entire staff, 2-3 times a month and buying management Starbucks, which they all Happily excepted very time. I cared about them and wanted to show my appreciation for all they do!
This is how it ends.. WOW
Desired outcome: Let me see what you choose to do know that you know both sides.
Digital coupons throughout the store
I get really irritated when I am going to buy something and the only way to save some money is to scan a digital coupon with an app. I'm elderly and do not have a smart phone let alone an app. I just place the item back on the shelf and don't get it at all. Not all people have smart phones and these digital coupons seem to be the way y'all are heading in the future. I'm very disappointed in HEB and I wish y'all would consider us older folks who don't have smart phones or apps.
And now, in ordedr to register my complaint, you are asking for my password? I don't think so.
Desired outcome: Return to printed paper coupons instead of the digital ones...or both.
Mootopia fat free lactose free
I live in Bay City and the store has been out of Mootopia fat free for well over a week. I finally drove 45 minutes to Lake Jackson to check the store there. Cooler was full of mootopia with some with expiration date of Dec 1. So I know they have continued to have the milk in stock. Why are you not sending any to Bay City? Something sure seems wrong with this issue.
Pharmacy
Brought in a prescription for my daughter who has both strep and influenza. The technician tells me he’s marked it urgent and it will be ready in 45 minutes. I waste time in the store and come back an hour later only to be told it will be more 30 minutes. I’m sitting here 2 hours later still waiting. I ask to speak with whomever is in charge and she simply says “ you’ll have to either wait or come back.” This is the H‑E‑B on Trimmier in Killeen, TX.
pharmacies and a manager by the name of Patsy at heb #37
11/18/22 7:20pm called HEB pharmacy [protected] for 3 hours and no one answered phone. I called direct number to HEB store #[protected] and asked for duty manager, got connected to Patsy. I explain to her I have been trying to reach your pharmacy dept. for the past 3 hours concerning my medication and no one is answering the telephone and would like to know if there was a problem with the telephone system. Her reply was " You just have to try and keep calling, there is nothing I can do for you and hung up the phone."" She was pretty rude in telling me that and she offered no other solution and no help at all but hung up on me.
Limited brands
For a long time we have noticed that HEB is going towards only stocking their brands. This is unfortunate as most people don't ONLY want to buy your brand. I love Daves Killer Bread and saw last week there is only 1 choice of it left and a "Try this" of your brand was all over the place. I have spoken to several people in my Facebook groups and they agree that they are not happy with what you are doing. I will now start shopping at Walmart or other grocery chains to get the brands I love. Your brands aren't very tasty. My husband purchased your cream cheese and hated it. He is going back to the Philadelphia brand which I'm sure you will be removing soon. It's a shame that you are forcing customers into your monopoly of brands. I will keep notifying people on Facebook of what you are doing and the brands you have or in the process of removing. Your produce is lacking as well. we have bought several vegetables like avocados, peppers and fruits like bananas they go rotten quickly. You have lost a customer!
I agree with everything this customer has said.
I do not like most of HEB brands Sometimes they are packed by national manuf. and private labeled, but not very often. I am going t start shopping at wal mart & cost co more to get the brands I like
Receiving product
Receiving product.
I’am a small trucking company. They detained me for 8hr. Which cost me another contract with a company. I could not make my pick up appointment. As the shipping department laughed and ate food at their desks with no empathy. Sorry for your luck was one statement. Will be done when we get done. This company must really despise small owner operators. I will not put other comments which were unprofessional.
H-E-B upper management simply allows these people in this department. To treat people who deliver products to their company be treated like this is Despicable.
HEB Serrano bottled salad dressing
Today shopping at 1052 in San Angelo and I was looking to purchase this product. You had two bottles on the shelf. From experience I will not purchase this product unless it’s expiration date is several weeks out. One bottle was dated 10-28-22 the other 11-19-22. Today is November 8. We are empty nesters. The two of us like salad but could not possibly finish the bottle by expiration date. My wife of 31 yrs is extremely careful about expired food having spent her teen years in Mexico.. I wish you could eithet reformula the dressing or speed delivery to the store. We like the product but hate the limited shelf life.
Desired outcome: Fresher product shipped to store. Or reformulated with same taste to extend shelf life
