I moved to texas 5 years ago. My house is situated near heb grocery store. All the time I live there we are fighting with this store owners. I already wrote thousands of complaints to them. The problem is in shopping carts. Yesterday was the last day I came there as there were no carts at all.

"alec t cashier 09-14-12 monitoring me (3:32p) at the check-out line after him the cashier was scanning a small amount of store groceries. Physically and verbally staring his head in my personal customer space over cashier counter. Repeating my account and card balance to pay for store items I have college education to do myself. Looking over store counter at my walking shoes and my pin number while not giving me customer time to enter and process my transactions for store items on my list to buy. I am complaining and don't know him with no manager around to correct the behavior for him as the cashier and employee. The h-e-b manager some weeks ago did a reminder issue towards me leaving the store before like he is aware of some of his workers behavior around me."

I am simply tired of the rude obnoxious way heb stores are operated. The employees usually clog the aisles sometimes stocking shelves other times simply gossiping.
Today, as has happened too many times, I selected several items and went to check out. As is usual a "partner" came and yanked my cart out of the line and told me to go to another cashier half way across the store.in the past I have attempted to argue but today was I simply left the cart and left. I attempted to lodge a couple of complaints but could not find any one interested.

I'm guessing no one was interested in your complaint because you were complaining about a courtesy customers like myself are thankful for. "Yanking your cart out of line and telling you to go to another register" is only done when new registers are being opened or there are registers on the other side with no customers in the line. If you had gone over to the other register you'd have probably gotten checked out faster than if you'd stayed in the other line.
clerk calling me a thief
I took a bottle of shampoo back to heb because I felt I had been charged the wrong price. I did not have my receipt with me but I did have the shampoo. Tbe clerk checked her computer for "movement" on the item at the time I said I was in the store. The computer said there had been no movement on that item. The clerk then handed me back the shampoo and said "I dont know how you got this out of the store but you did not pay for it." I assured her I had the receipt at home. I went back a couple of days later with my receipt, which of course proved there was movement on the item and that I had paid for it. All I get from heb is we are so sorry, no one should of said that to you.
double charged on milk
I went to heb on bellaire location on monday 10/17/2011. I have been rush to stop by that heb late at night around 11:15 pm just to get a can of milk for my daughter. I give my credit card for my husband to pay for it and he swipe card only 1 time for 1 can of milk is 16.68. But 2 day later I check my credit card online and I find out they charge me 2 time $16.68 at the same day. I go to the store said that I need to talk to manager. The guy at front desk tell me wait for while. After that a lady came out (her name is belen) and ask me few question then she said I can do anything you have to come back on friday. I ask her why? Why you can solve my problem. Are you manager? She said "no, i'm bookkeeper." she just tell me have to come back talk to the manager. They let me wait for 30 mins for that and tell me come back another day. That's how they service their customer. I don't think I can get money back. Cheat store.

While shopping at heb business center noticed an employee who was very rude and unprofessional to customers and other employees alike. I assume she was in a managerial position because of the type of role she portrayed. I have always admired heb's customer service and the good service the managers and employees. I was disappointed in her attitude.

I was at the self check out and it didn't print my receipt so I went up to the front desk and asked for a receipt. She was like "oh, ok" and just walked away to help another customer. She came back and said it will take a while, are you sure you want it?" I was like yeah, I just said that. I thought it would take 10 minutes maximum but I waited for 20 minutes! She was so useless. If she doesn't get fired, I will never come to heb ever again. Her name is wendy. She clearly does not know what she's doing and needs to be replaced.

Michelle m a store cashier for h-e-b mid-county tested my credibility and I am a normal shopper at the store and aware of the manager mr. Rick who is unaware of her young attitude or behavior. White female. After I received a store receipt a little after 5:00 p. M. Today from the store purchases I made. The cashier repeated to me my account balances with the store or card services I use to buy from them. I am not deaf or have slow reading skills and was only waiting for her to mark the receipt and understand their is no customer problem after she handed me my grocery receipt for this month. Her attitude reading my balance to me on my personal shopping store receipt after she bagged my store purchases made customers leaving out the store I notice today look at me in shock of what I am complaining should only be heard or explained if their is theft or maybe a thief in the store. I am a grown man and don't need the details of what I make money for after it was paid explained to me like I am irresponsible for what I pay for. The issue normally only occurs with older women just doing their job and now this person is just the first issue to complain is just not being annoying they was acting childish, evil, and disrespectful to me as the human being I will curse her out for eventually if the matter was occurring with her or any person again and the manager does not take action against them as corporate employees just doing the job the correct way. I was hired to work for h-e-b when I was barely legal age and don't need to find out if they do it to be professional because I don't allow people to be prejudice and racist to me. I always understand to be the bigger christian about a issue and no comment or advice is needed.
How did you get that out of her just ringing up your groceries ? Checking people out over and over for hours you think you will be happy the whole time ? I'm so sure how is that being prejudice or racist against you? It's just a grocery store!
overcharged every time on vegetables
Every time we buy tomatoes, zuchinni / squash, and sometimes even onions and peppers the cashiers charge us for the most expensive option. For example we buy salad tomatoes, the 2nd cheapest type of tomato there, and they charge us for tomatoes on the vine - a 50% increase in price! We even have the stickers on these items and they over charge us. It happens far too often to be a simple mistake, and that they charge you for the most expensive item available is even more suspicious.
Also there are plenty of times you don't get give a sale price, or the wrong price is in front of an item, etc. Although these happen less frequently than with the vegetables so they are probably just honest mistakes.

unprofessional customer management
I ordered a birthday cake for my mom and picked it up on 1/9/10 at 2:30pm ct at the heb on 201 n fm 685 in pflugerville, tx.
When I picked it up, the lady in the bakery department was quite anxious about me opening the box and looking at the cake, saying why are you opening it, don’t open it. I thought her behavior was strange, but it didn’t dawn on me until I got home why she was acting like that. It was not only lopsided, but it was not made the way I asked for. The guy in the bakery explained that if they feel there is too much buttercream frosting on it, they would add elite frosting to even out the taste, without even asking the customer! In my case the entire cake was done in elite. I called back to notify them of this and was treated like trash by the day manager steve. For no reason at all, he voiced out loud in front of everyone that he would not give me a refund so that I could go elsewhere for another cake. Without even allowing me to speak, he rudely informed me that I would either need to keep the original cake or have them remake it. Then he refused to even acknowledge that the cake was even made incorrectly. I asked him to try it and he just kept saying I was wrong, ordered the guy in bakery to remake it and then very rudely walked away. He wouldn’t even let me say anything; I was left speechless by this manager’s attitude and behavior! The guy in the bakery department was not adept at decorating cakes as the lettering was all crooked and the flowers were haphazardly added onto the corners in a nonprofessional manner. I was afraid of this and that is why I asked the manager steve for a refund so that I could purchase the cake elsewhere. I could understand if I went in the store acting like a crazy lady making demands, but I didn’t do or even have a chance to say anything like that. We shop at this store all the time, making a scene was the last thing I would have ever done. Just weeks before this, my mom and I even stood up for this manager as another customer was yelling at him and we felt bad for him. He was so nice and acted very grateful that night. His terrible attitude towards me would explain why he has so many problems with his customers; he is very rude and unprofessional to say the least! I would just like to know what I did to receive this type of behavior and attitude from this manager. It was all very strange and bizarre as was witnessed by many other customers who felt the same way. An explanation and apology is in order by this manager who was obviously having a very bad day and took it out on me and who knows how many other customers he has done this to. He single handedly put a damper on this special day for everyone in our family who was all disappointed by the actions of this store and especially the manager steve. It seems that if anything is amiss with anything you buy at this store, you are just stuck with it, you certainly cannot expect any type of resolution from the management and that is sad as this was the last good heb left in our neighborhood.
The car wash at the Dripping Springs location does not clean your car. When this location first opened it worked great, but now it does not clean at all. What needs to be done to get this corrected?
dead rat in a chicken
I was preparing to make chicken soup and I had been cooking it for a few hours the pot was full so I took some of the broth to put in another. I do not eat the dark meat so I got a bowl and started taking the dark meat out ai ate a few pieces of the white meat. I was going to stop picking but I went ahead and grab some more and as I lyed it in the bowl I thought what the heck is this. I couldn;t believe what I was seeing my friend was in the other room I called for her and said tell me thats not what I think it is. Here it was a dead rat. I contacted my health department he came took it back to the store and said they had to take it back to the processing center and will be about 7 days. Earlier as I was cleaning the chicken I notice something and I pulled at it and thu it in the trash. Didn;t think much of it until I decided to get back in the trash and it was the tail. I have been sick for 3 days now I ate a few bites only but have had diarehha and pain in my stomache. I am tramitized by this. I could of gotten really sick not only me but my family. It was intuition or something to keep picking cause I usually put my broth to the side then pick at the white meat and put it in my broth. I know things happen but to find a dead frozen rat up in a chicken come on.

I have been overcharged for produce on 4 occasions in the last 3 or 4 months. Yesterday I bought nectarines at.97 per pound. I was charged for yellow fleshed peaches at 2.49 per pound. I'm getting tired of having to go back because of this. Why don't you hire people that can walk and chew gum at the same time, or at least be able to read a number. North Lamar store in Austin
Overcharged for chicken tenders which were rung up as duck breast, more than twice the price per pound. Same day, different dept. I was charged twice the amount for butternut squash dressing, which was rung up as Brussels Sprouts. I called to speak to a manager when I realized, but was unable to reach a manager. So I called Corporate in San Antonio. I plan to alert everyone I know to this possible fraud.

Over the pass month I bought 5 watermelons from this store. Four have been so rancid that as soon as you cut them open you wanted to throw up. The 4 watermelons were a product of mexico. The one lone good one was from texas farmers. You would think that I would have learn my lesson after the first two, but i've had good luck with heb food quality up to now. No use in complaining to management. They just don't care.

unsafe conditions and rude manager
I was shopping in heb plus in kyle, texas. On my way from their bathroom I slept and fell inside the store. There was something spilled on the floor, and the employees did not clean it. I am on my 9th month of pregnancy! I fell down, and the manager was very rude to me and very unprofessional. He was talking in unapproppriate manner and smiling about my fall!... He said it's ok what happenned!... After I got up, i've noticed an employee standing there and talking to somebody instead of cleaning up the floor or at least putting up the sign to be careful. I've been the customer of this store for 4 years but now all I have to say - shame on them.

heb yellow coupon deceptive
Heb has a deceptive coupon practice. The heb coupon policy states that you can combine a yellow in store coupon with a manufacturers coupon. However, it also states that you cannot combine a yellow in store coupon with the letter m on it with a manufacturers coupon. This is deceptive. What they do is entice you to buy a product that has the yellow coupon and when you get to the checkout and hand them your manufacturers coupon they won't accept it. So I called the consumer customer service line and they said they have received numerous complaints are looking into it. No apology for the deceptive practice. Just that they are looking into it. If they are going to have manufacturers coupons then they shouldn't say heb in store/in ad coupon. They should be a different color to alert the consumer that it is a manufacturers coupon. They are losing customer and I don't think a "double coupon" is going to hurt their bottom line. What is going to hurt there bottom line is when consumers get tired of being deceived and go grocery shopping at super target or super walmart

H-E-B coupon policy is clear, and you've read it, so I don't see why you're upset. It tells you that the coupons are yellow, and explains how to differentiate between store and manufacturer coupons. If you did not do that then it's not the store's fault, it's your own.
The number 1 reason why coupons get rejected at the cash register is because the customer doesn't read them right. So save everyone time and trouble and make sure you actually comprehend what the coupon says.
Let me guess...you just watched the Tv show on how these people(YOU) go into the grocery store with billions of coupons trying to get everything for free. You prob spent a week of your life saving coupons. (like Squirrel looking for nuts)you get to Heb thinking you are going to walk out of there with 10 carts filled to the top with Willy Wonka candy for you to play with and not have to pay for it. HEB would not make money giving everything you picked out for free. That is why they have limits. If you havent noticed those Tv shows you love and crave are filmed in small town Mom and Pop stores up North where they need business. Only in America will we have people (YOU)complain about using a manufactures coupon for $1.00 off with a in store coupon of a $1.00 off on a $2.00 item! P.s Heb has done wonders for the community/familys while (you) sit at home eating bon bons and ho hos complaining to a web site! Only thing free lady is Oxygen and my 4 cents...but you prob have a 2 cent off coupon with a manufacture 2 cent off coupon as well!

I tried to return an item today at the heb in beeville, tx. This is what happened: I did not have my receipt because the item was purchased several weeks ago. The girl at the desk took the item to another room and closed the door. She came out a few minutes later and said that the item I was returning had not been purchased at that beeville heb in the last 2 months. I told her I may have purchase it longer ago or I may have purchased it at another heb in a town near by. She said I could not return it without a receipt. I said I did not want cash back, I only wanted in store credit. She said that was store policy - not to return an item purchased from anther heb. I asked her where this store policy was posted and she handed me a small framed flyer with small print that was hidden from view on the wall behind her. No one would have been able to read the small print from where they had it posted. I began reading the flyer and it actually said that they do give store credit without a receipt. I asked to speak to the store manager fred # and he also said their policy was as she had stated and had been that way for over a year. I advised him that their "hidden" store policy flyer said they do give store credit without a receipt. So he asked to see my driver's license-i'm not sure why, but this made me feel like I was being interrogated. I told him that heb is the only store I have ever seen the product in that I was returning and that I had never had a problem before returning items without a receipt. I have been shopping at heb's in south texas for 30+ years. He finally relented and gave me an in store credit. The whole experience was upsetting and I will be buying as much as I can from walmart from now on as this is the only other choice I have in beeville. At least walmart will return items that were purchased from them without giving you trouble.
Your first complaint is so dumb. Your cashier simply was trying to tell you not to come through an express line with more than 10 items. Just count your items and make note of the signs before you embarrass yourself and try to blame others for your mistake.
