Honda Care Warranty. I purchased a 2003 Honda Civic Hybrid (it was like new, with 12,000 miles on it. When we purchased the extended warranty Honda Care was recommend being the best one. At about 60,000 miles we started hearing a chattering type of noise when the car was first started and then seemed to last longer and longer. I took it to our local Dealership, Bill Rogers Honda (which has been great) to see if they could hear the noise and figure out the problem. After numerous times of leaving it, they agreed we did have a problem. They did adjust the valves and it helped for a few weeks and then the noise started again.
They submitted it to Honda who said it was not their problem as it was past the 60,000 miles. So they submitted it to HONDA CARE. They don’t seem to trust their Dealerships. They said I would need to have me sign a paper that if it wasn’t accepted I would pay to have my car put back together. I called to ask what the deal was and was told they would send an Independent Mechanic to the Dealership after my car was apart and IF he agreed that it was the problem then they would authorize the repair, otherwise I would have to pay to have it put back together. The diagnosis of the car is Serious Valve problems with noisy lifters. They said it was the noisiest Honda they had ever heard. We tried again talking to Honda and they told the Dealership that the case was closed as it wasn’t their problem. When I called Honda Care they were very short with me and said they usually paid 9 out of 10 claims. Each day I get closer and closer to my Warranty expiring with serious engine problems and I still owe money on my car. Right now I feel that I got ripped. University Honda recommended Honda Care and never explained what would happen it we had problems. Not once did they explain that your repairs aren’t actually covered. This was the first year out on this model, so they aren’t willing to concede there may be some issues. I would never have purchased it if I had realized it didn’t have more stability behind it.
This is the 3rd Honda I have had in 16 years and never had problems like this, never ever used and extended warranty or even the regular warranty. Then to top it off my Emissions light has now come on twice. I have done all my maintenance and oil changes through my Honda Dealership. TJ the service person has really tried to help us. I heard this week that Honda Care is owned by Ford.
Any ideas?
Thank You
Jo
I am expierencing the same problems now with Honda Care and my 2003 civic LX.
I purchased my Honda CRV in 04 (brand new). In the fall of 06, the AC compressor went out. Thinking that it was just a fluke, we repaired it for 1500.00. This spring, 2010, the compressor went out again. I have researched a bit and talked to Honda mechanics to find that Honda knows that they have an issue with the compressor. I guess they feel that if they ignore the problem that it will go away. The only thing that will go away is my business. I am looking at purchasing a car or two in the near future. I can assure everyone especially Honda that any car I purchase in the future will not be a Honda.
We took my Brother in law in after he lost his apartment in September 2009. He was unemployed and in March of 2010 we asked him to leave because he stopped paying rent and refused to get just "any" job to tide him over. I have not seen or heard from him since. I kept getting calls from Honda finance Co. and told them the siuation. Then the repo guys started coming at least twice. The thing that really angers me is that instead of the finance co. doing their research to find him they keep harrassing me. I moved from Illinois to Texas in January and believe it or not 2 tow trucks showed up at 11:30pm on a Sunday night to repo his car! Whatcan I do?
Do not buy honda odyssey’s New 2009 Honda Odyssey with 5000 miles. Dealer has had to upgrade the transmission software twice and replaced the torque converter one to attempt to eliminate a transmission vibration issue. Steering wheel shakes when moved off center and vibrates at highway speeds. Tires rotated, balanced, etc. Both problems still present with no improvement. Honda regional manager this is a design issue and that all Odyssey’s will exhibit these issues. Both sliding doors rattled severely, now they just squeak. Dealer won’t touch the vehicle anymore to prevent Lemon Law from becoming effective. Drive vehicle on smooth roads and you will notice these issues.

I have owned a Honda Amaze Smt car which is 8 months
old registration no. UP-78 / DQ-6740. The car has catches rust in
whole body after one month from purchasing.I had purchase the car from
PUSHP HONDA KANPUR (U.P) and also discussion with Mr. Santosh but no
response from Dealer side.
I was done second & third service in Krishna Honda in Rourkela
(Odisha). He has suggested for Teflon coating. After coating rust has
gone. But, again one week has gone come to the rust in whole body. My
car is stand in open area. All company’s cars are stand in open areas.
But no rust in others car.
This is serious case. Because, this is bad imprison on Honda Company.
Did you end up having a solution to this ? this is happening to my boyfriend right now. They took apart his car, and then some issue with honda care for the warranty, and now they don't put back his car unless he paid them to put it back ! any idea what to do ? any suggestion?
I just bought a honda brand new 2015 last year on January. Not even 7 months the panel on the bottom of the car came loose than after the battery died. I took it to the Fletcher Jones Honda in chicago. And they told me that the car wasn't charge when they sold it. And the 2nd time it died again so I told them what was going on. I had to argue with them to change the battery. Than after the full year completed the car started to jerk back and forth. I took it there and they said they dont know what was wrong woth thw car, so i took it Grossinger still dont know what was going on, they took it to Grand Mcgrath in chicago then he drove it finally an answer he said that it might be the water in my fuel tank. They said they if that was the issue it wasn't going to be a honda issue and for that they won't cover it under they're warranty. I was furious cause I had so many and problems with the car they can't even accommodate the issue. Take it apart first then give the customer and option if they want to pay. But they said if not the honda issue I would have to pay . I believe that I do t have to pay for anything for a car that is suppose to be brand new. $125.000 for check up. Do not like Honda period. I am stuck with it until the warranty is done. 6/15/2016 12:30pm
How do you think it is Honda's problem if you bought bad gas? And what does the panel falling off have to do with the battery being discharged. Finally, maybe you should look at what you typed before hitting send.
