Hong Leong Bank open account for company

Dear Management,

On 22/2/2019, I am going to HLB Kota Kemuning Branch to open an current account for my new set up company. One of the female chinese staff told us need to get approve from management before confirm the current account can be open. Anyway we still proceed with all the document HLB needed. By the end, the staff told us will give us a call within one week. But I only received the call after two week.in the conversation, HLB told us need to provide company website address.

I did call 03-5122 5912 two time before I drop by HLB Kota Kemuning to provide my website address.in the conversation, the operator said will guide the officer to call me ASAP, but I did not received any call from HLB.

On 18/3/20191, I drop by HLB Kota kemuning branch to provide my website address, the same female chinese staff told me wait for a while. After 15 min, she told me all my application submission already be shredded. What? Without inform me all my doc already be shredded? Then she said my application not approved.

If my application rejected, should I get a call to inform me? I really disappointed with the service and attidude, I am HL customer for long time. Even my working university is using HLB as our company bank. Plus, we are HLA agent too.

I think I deserve an explanation from management regarding this issue.

Hong Leong Bank co-operation for finding information that been raised out is not there

I had been called the HLB Setia Alam regarding of issue that there is 2 cheque that was banked in and it was cleared to the bank statement of my customer by then the cheque number doesn't appear to my company statement (Damai 1516 Homeowners Berhad) and regarding this I had personally when to the HLB Setia Alam but none of staff over there can help me. The issue was happen in 2016. The cheque number is HLB 344241 & HLB 344242. The cheque cleared to my customer statement on 01/02/2016.

Please do help me to rectify this issue as soon as possible

Hong Leong Bank regarding my car agreement letter

My car agreement letter since jun'18 until now still never receive it. I had called the officer (his name mr wong contact number is [protected]) & check him about the status. He told me that i'm not the only one customer did not receive letter, some others customer also facing the same problem, he has sent email to hq kl branch chase them to resend the mailing (I just wondering agreement letter is under private confidential why not alert mail send us to go post office to collect?), he said he didn't get response from hq office. Few days later I check with the officer for status, but he asked me go any hong leong bank branch request with counter officer send the letter to the nearest hong leong bank branch instead of send to my mailing address. Why must get us in this troublesome? My car plate number jsu6791. Car owner is lee han hua. Can you solve the problem for me? This is my 2nd time using hong leong bank car loan. I didnt know why the letter can drag for so long without inform us anything until... We asked. As attached pdf file which I received from mr wong by whatsapp.

Hong Leong Bank unprofessional service

I m felling upset to see those staffs serve old people like they should know everything pls they are old people u are the one to serve them and telling them what they have to do and giving better info ok? And one thing is I want to do is fixed deposit and not investment fund and how come u can tell me this has high interest without telling me this is not fixed deposit? Although it might be better for me but I have my own choice and don't cheat especially old people who know nothing.And listen clearly to us what we want even double confirm with customers pls this is the best way to avoid u from making mistakes. Even though we said twice the staff can also hear wrongly, then say is our fault hehe really disappointed on the Hong Leong bank services.

The message as below:-

I don't have any account no with hlb and this case already reported to your call centre (03-7626 8899) for further action at 4.21pm today 17/01/2019

Either this is a scam or other user mistakenly registered my number.

Good Day,
I'm not HLB account holder but today around 4.16 pm today (17/01/2019) I received 3 x SMS form 68899 via my personal mobile number
the message as below:-
"RM0.00 HLB: Thank u for your acct opening. Shop and pay with debit card and stand to get up to RM 100 CashBack. More info at www.hlb.com.my/pin&win. T&C apply"
Already lodged a report via HLB contact centre [protected]) around 4.21pm today (17/01/2019)
Case No: 2-[protected] (manually). HLB Rep received: Zian
Confirmed by HLB Reps via my I/C No that I have no account registered with HLB.
Please check either this is a scam or somebody open the account with HLB mistakenly using my number or typo error

: RM0 HLISB: You recently withdrew MYR200.00 using your Debit Card ending 1268. If you did not perform this, please call us immediately.

Either the person have registered using my phone number or it scam.

Hong Leong Bank waived on credit card

FYI, I applied new hlb credit card last year end(2018) . But the credit card was failed to deliver to me from your side. Hence i make complaint on lost and request for new cards and i accepted the card this year (2019). But because of after 45 days not using the credit card, the customer service center said that im not entitled the 1st year annual fee waiver. This really not fair to me as it is not my fault received the credit card after the promotion period. Can u find out for me can i waive the 1st year annual fee for both cards?

Hong Leong Bank credit card

I just want to find out if I apply new credit card last year end.. And your side fail to deliver the card to me.. I make a complaint on the lost card and this year I received the new card. But because of after the promotion period not use the card within 45 days.. Your card centre say cannot waive for the 1st time annual fee. It really unacceptable for me cause card lost is not my fault. Can u find out for me can I waive for the 1st time annual fee for both card?

你好,我想投诉一下credit dpt 是不是有算错我的借代汽车款项。。我跟您的银行借款是在2017/3/15而我开始还汽车款项从4月开始。。可今天我收到 Loan statement 扣除钱是从12/17。。。请问我在4~11份所还的汽车代款您的银行没有扣除吗?如果我没有还汽车找就被银行拖运去了。。。希望您尽快跟我解决这个问题!也请您们联系本人

Hong Leong Bank unethical & breach of pdp act

so i would like to ask and know as well... since when the "alliance" formed between you and Alliance bank that personal data is being shared in between? This is so unethical and no wonder there is so many unsolicited calls from both your bank and your best "alliance" to the innocent public who got bugged... Since your alliance does not really do anything..what about you then?

Refering to the information sent anonymously to me that indicate about an unethical behavior of Alliance bank worker who i believed has been processing/keeping the personal data illegally.
As a member of the public, i am disturbed that such a thing happen at a reputable bank. I have on several occasions received phone calls from strangers inquiring whether i needed monetary assistance which i believe most Malaysia folks facing this nuisance in their daily life. I always wondered how these people obtained my personal data.Which by now i can somehow aware how the public information can be so easily leaked out due to bunch of unethical individual that does not take the laws seriously.
From the information leaked with my observation, i strongly believe that this individual retain all the private information sent by customer in the mailbox and some as old as year 2015/2016.
I believe that the leak info that i receive i just part of the nonsense and i strongly believe there is more which neither me nor the public is aware.
In conclusion, I feel that there is an urgent need to treat this matter seriously.
I have since then, urged the respective bank that an immediate investigation against the individual to carry out and put a stop to this malpractice and let the culprit who breach the laws to face the full force of the law.
However after a disappointing attempt, there is no update nor action taken against the said person so far which is why i have no choice but to seek for public justice through social media.

Hong Leong Bank is currently close 20++ branch in whole malaysia. this mean that HLB face some financial problem.
Please dont do any investment with Hong Leong Bank, they may bankrupt in any time.
Poor customer service, sharing all the customer data to others 3rd party, not responsible at all.
please take out all your saving with Hong Leong Bank

My name is Goh Yoke Ruh. I have been receiving several phone calls from Hong Leong bank. The latest from the number above today Friday 2nd Nov at 12.40 pm.

I do not have any account with Hong Leong Bank . I did not permit my contact number to be used by the bank for any advertisement nor am I interested in your products.

can you please let me know the origin of the list you obtained where my name and number was listed?

Hong Leong Bank credit card

Dear Hong Leong,

I have called in to Customer Service and later passed to Collection Service under HLB for my problem. My name is Nanthakobalan a/l Ganeson had a credit card and fully paid in 2013. But the account is still appearing in my CCRIS report printed in Bank Negara dated 30.10.18. The account is still appeared as an active account. Your customer service and Collection center confirm verbally the account has been closed.Please help to update your data with Bank Negara.

Hong Leong Bank debit card

I only became a customer of HLB because of the Eon Bank takeover. It was bad from the start. Not only did they give no support to transfer customers from the Eon online system to their own, but the attitude as "why should we?" They obviously hadn't thought about it. If was the same when they changed the branch location. The first I heard about it was when I went to visit the bank, it was closed down, with no information on the new location! When I did visit the new location, I found that the banking counter is on the first floor reachable only by a spiral staircase, with no assisted access for disabled customers like myself.

The problem that I have at the moment is that debit card transactions for an online site I'd used successfully before (BookXcess) are being blocked by the bank, even after entering a One-time Password that was sent. Attempts to find out why by Facebook messaging and email have "fallen on stoney ground".

Hong Leong Bank complaint regarding my saving statement in hong leong bank

I requested my 6 month saving account statement on 02.10.2018 in Rawang Branch, Selangor, till now they not yet prepare my statement and i called to Rawang Branch not less than 15 times [protected]), the answer they gave is 'NOT YET' ready my statement and I try to called others related Hong Leong Bank Branch also they asked me to follow rawang branch. So how long i need to wait for my 6 month statement ?
If not response means, i try to deactive my account .

Hong Leong Bank customer service / limited parking space at hlb kepong branch

I went to HLB Kepong Branch at 12 noon and can't find the parking. Due to urgency and need to deliver urgent documents to HLB trade dept 1st flood, I parked my car at the staff parking "staff only" for awhile.. the security guard not allowed me to park and told me that this parking space is only main for HLB branch manager. Was told that he will get scolded by branch manager if he let me parking here· He chase me out from the parking space..I really don't understand I'm your customer and just park for awhile to deliver doc to your trade dept ..is this the way your bank treat your customer ? There are 2 vacant staff parking space and get permission from your security guard just to park awhile also not allowed.. I am really disappointed with the service rendered by your bank.

Hong Leong Bank problem with opening a current account for a private limited / sendirian berhad company

Firstly, Hong Leong Bank, Taman Melawati KL branch's bank personnel are not aware or properly informed by their own superiors/top management with regards to the new ruling stated in the Companies Act 2016 endorsed by the government agency 'Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia' or 'SSM', which allows a single director of a local Malaysian private limited company (Or it is called 'Sendirian Berhad' in Malay Language) to open a current account. Plus, the service provided at this branch is consistently very poor and unfriendly, refer below for further details.

I am a single director of a new private limited / Sendirian Berhad company and I was trying to open a new current account at Hong Leong Bank, specifically Taman Melawati KL Branch. Back in late September 2018, I requested for the application forms to open the new current account but the bank teller was not satisfying in terms of her service and she simply gave me the application forms without informing me anything else.

Then, back in early October 2018, I came prepared with all the necessary documents required for the application, only to be told by the bank teller there that a private limited company must have two directors in order to open a current account. As such, I have tried to tell the bank tellers that I will call up my company secretary in regards with the new ruling of Companies Act 2016 so that company secretary could explain to the bank tellers. Unfortunately, the bank tellers replied to me in a very rude manner, exclaiming "What else is there to explain?". After hearing such a rude reply from them, I got fed up with their service, took back my documents and left the bank immediately.

As such, I would strongly implore the top management of Hong Leong Bank to look into the bank tellers working at this branch and mete out the necessary action towards to them, especially informing them about the new ruling from SSM to allow other future potential customers who are also a single director in a private limited company to open a bank account. This is highly unacceptable since this ruling came from a goverment agency and by right all bank must adhere to this ruling without fail. Last but not least, the service provided by this bank's branch must improve or else it will not be good for the bank's image.

@johnC89, the regulator for banks is Bank Negara and not SSM or company secretaries. The banks only take instructions from Bank Negara. FYI.

@ mutusamyhjhjhjh Well if that is the case, then why, as per my company secretary they mention that one of their other client have also tried to apply to open a company bank account at another Hong Leong Bank branch which is at Kepong, which also happen to only have a single director Sdn Bhd company like me. They are able to open a bank account, but I can't open a bank account in Taman Melawati branch? And I would like to also mention that after this whole mess caused by Hong Leong Bank to me, I went to another bank and they were able to open a bank account for my company with single director. Something is definitely not right with Hong Leong Bank's policy especially their Taman Melawati Branch while Kepong Branch is alright.

Hong Leong Bank requested legal charge release for car loan

Requested to release legal charge which takes for almost 3 months since July 2018 and until todate haven't clear yet even though my requisition already approved. Its such lousy service given to me. I do my very best to make prompt payment before due date but really disappointed by receiving such bad service! Its makes my financing matters troublesome at my end. In future, I swear will not using any financing facilities/product which named under Hong Leong! I'm giving out Business Consultation to SME's will approach them no to keen any facilities / products of yours.

Hong Leong Bank bad behavior of staff

To whom it may concern,

We are the customers of HLB since my grandpa generation and have not been treated so rudely before until last Tuesday, 2 Oct 2018 at 3pm when my mother and I were at this Old Klang Road branch to update FD and withdraw some cash at the counter. Before our turn, we saw a staff named Bee Kun was so called 'direct' an elderly lady rudely to the other counter to change her pass book. The lady seemed did not know where was she pointing at and this Bee Kun raised her voice and said 'that side, that side' in Cantonese to this elderly. I was shocked, wondering if this staff need to be so pissed off to an elderly customer? Couldn't she just guide the lady politely and not shouting?
When it came to our turn, my mom passed her a stack of FD for her to update and then told her that she wanted to withdraw some cash while I was walking away to the main entrance to check if someone was blocking my car. This Bee Kun passed the pink cash withdrawal form and told my mom to fill in the amount herself and sign with very high pitch. My mom did not know where to put the figure and asked her again to confirm, I saw her sounded so pissed off and raised her voice to more high pitch tone and said 'write your amount here and sign here' without looking at my mom. She was so loud until I could hear from the main entrance. I want to emphasize that my mom has never filled in the form whenever she withdraw or deposit cash as your previous staff at Jalan Mega Mendung branch helped her a lot. Those staff were very polite and understanding as they know elderly are not familiar with the form and some elderly might not been to proper education before. So, they are willing to help. But this Bee Kun was really terrible in treating customers! Then I quickly walked to the counter to help my mom.
Perhaps she is a good staff to HLB in certain aspect but we seriously think that she does not suitable to work at the front desk who need to deal with diverse customers. We never expect her to be as profesional as customer service officer but she doesn't even has the BASIC POLITENESS towards the customers. All customers deserve a polite treatment! I hope that the management would take a serious action so that this rude staff will not ruin your company brand image and reputation! Imagine, when a loyal customer received such treatment. My mom is so upset and seriously considering to shift all accounts to other bank now.

Hong Leong Bank outrageous policy on cheque book

My name is Ms Woo and my current account no is [protected] and my home branch is at Jalan Kapar, Klang.

On 5th Sept, I have requested for a new cheque book. I have been waiting and trying to reach to the bank on their phone lines but each time I called, no one answers. I called from morning until evening at few hours intermittently and the next few days lead to few weeks continues until today. On 5th Oct 2018, I went to my branch to make withdrawal and I ask the teller at the counter on my cheque book. I was asked to go to the end to enquire. One lady attended to me and to my horror, she told me my cheque book was destroyed due to 1 mth uncollected period of time and she keep on saying it was the bank procedures and its their system and she said she tried to call me but after few attempts she will not call and will destroy the cheque book. I was totally aghast! How could they destroyed the cheque book without informing me or even trying to reach me. She can reach me via email or even leave an instant message on my sms or even WhatsApp! What is the reason I filled in the application form when I open my current account with your bank? My information are all there!

I was not a stranger to the branch. I always make withdrawal towards the end of the month for my worker's salary. I open my current account on May 2015.

But what really ticked and put me off is that I got to know upon returning to my office that there is a RM50 "uncollected cheque fee" charged to my account. Immediately I feel that Hong Leong has develop a cheating method indirectly hit at their customers. The bank staff only tried few attempts to call or maybe they didn't even call their customer to come to collect cheque book and then just charged the fee from their customer account - case closed.

Is this the way Hong Leong treating their customer now with everything now going electronically, bank can just charged their customer without any notice or even description on the online transaction?

I really feel violated and bullied. I want this to be addressed to the relevant department in the HQ. Your bank has become very robotic and has lost its personal touch.

I want my complained to be addressed. I want the ridiculous fee to be waived off and prepare a new cheque book without no charges of RM7.50 again.

And I want Hong Leong bank to notify this to all their customers in their website, facebook page and etc so that everyone is notified and well informed.

Hong Leong Bank credit card customer service

Dear Sir/Mdm. Good day to you. My name is Johnson. I would to make a complaint regarding credit card customer service. I called to Cust. service on 02/10 around 5pm require confirmation regarding cash out normal cheque procedure. I was asking if i want to cash out the cheque at the counter immediately, which part of the cheque i need cheque owner to have extra signature beside signature column where i have my experience on Ambank which they require cheque owner to have 3 signature on particular cheque if cash out immediately through counter. Seem your cust service are not well trained. I allowed them to ask for confirmation from their senior or manager which the info i got is WRONG. Mean to said that Hong Leong bank training are not professional enough even for a senior or manager level. I lost RM50k profit due to i unable to cash out the cheque on time. I might be a very tiny small potato to Hong Leong bank but CONGRATULATION to you. You losing a potential customer. I appreciate upon your concern to this matter. Thank you.

Hong Leong Bank online biz connect

So our payment maker ID was block due to incorrect password keyed more than 3 times then I call customer services line [protected] to resolve this issue.

They say have to log into System Administrator to activate back our payment maker.
But then our System Administrator was blocked too cuz to long we didnt open it.

So I call the customers services they says we have to reset ID and password for System Administrator then log into to System Authorizer to approve to unlock payment maker ID.

Then my boss call and they say no need to log into System Authorizer just System Administrator needed to unblock payment maker.

Arent they aldy have an SOP for handling these issues?

Next, I fill out this SR01 form that I got from their website to request unblock & reset password System Administrator and send to them via email

in the whole process, all these time they I re-call and asked them, none of them told me I should add a notes on that form that I wanted to get the ePin via email.

On the SR01 form itself there is no options to request to get the PIN via email
there is only post option available!

they we have to wait few more days to get our ID unblock!

Why it is so hard for them to reset password
why it have to took so many days to process,
why is it so damn slow!
