Phone call for vet advice
May 23 I phoned worried about my dog piper
I was told it was a $5 fee
I was charged $42!
When I hung up the so called' vêt' kept sending me advice.
This month I was charged again $42
I've never called you back
You are a scam
And I am reporting you
Nowhere did I ever say I would pay more than $5 nor did I consent to paying monthly
You have again charged my credit card this month.
Desired outcome: Stop charging me monthly and return my 42!!!
Fraud
I signed up for service in april, cancelled in april, they attempted to bill me in may and june, it was declined obviously, in july it went thru for 46 dollars. they refuse to refund money. im filing suit in in state court. i believe a class action lawsuit is needed to make them change their policy.
Desired outcome: full refund
Membership Fraud
JustAnswer said it would be $1 for 30-days and I asked one question and they billed me $60. I called customer service and the rep was very flippant and said that it was clearly stated that a question would accelerate the membership statement. It wasn't clearly stated to me and as a college graduate it would seem there was at the best case small print at the worst outright fraud. The rep also disconnected my call before I could leave a review even though I opted in to do so. PLEASE AVOID THIS SITE COMPLETELY.
Desired outcome: Refund my $60
customer service unresponsive, no refund
I've never wanted this, I canceled the membership and they said that I will no longer be charged the next month, the problem is I've never use this service and I want my 46$ refund back, I've contacted, chat, email and nobody in the customer services had contacted me back and its been 15 minutes since ive waited in the chat, please I beg you I'm just a teenager and the money was my savings, please refund the money back, please please please
Desired outcome: Refund back the 46$, and them taxes too, its actually 47.22$
Unauthorized payment
I want my money back i did not authorize you all to take a payment out!
Unauthorized removal of funds/ fraud #WYN-[protected]
The online company "JustAnswer" is engaged in practicing fraudulent billing .
After I used the service in February, I paid the fee, added a tip, and gave the technician a "excellent" review. I thought I was done.
It was June before I found out that "JustAnswer was removing $28 a month from my account.
"JustAnswer will send at least one email notice of upcoming auto-renewal prior to auto-renewing your membership. Auto-renewal will remain in effect until withdrawn by you or terminated by JustAnswer".
This is from their terms of service; I thought that I had cancelled the service. I have never, until very recently, received ANY emails from the "Just Answer" letterhead; just one email under the technician's own name.
Desired outcome: I would like a complete refund of funds removed from my account without my knowledge or consent.
Just Answer Tech help
I used Just Answer Tech help to solve a problem.
I used it only once and I have been trying to cancel my subscription with the above and am unable to do so for seven months now, I am paying 35 € a month FOR NOTHING.
HOW DO I UNSUBSCRIBE?
There is no option for this I can find on their website, and nay google search just takes me into a labyrinth of more choices ALLL ASKING ME TO SUSCRIBE.
The situation now is the they are stealing my money and I cannot stop them
fees
I arrived at this site while searching for an answer to a mac-related question. A free answer was helpful, so I started looking around. Interest and intrigue quickly turned to suspicion when it proved impossible to learn what the cost per question would be, or how much a membership would cost, with supposedly unlimited questions.
Even in a chat with customer service, I could not find this out.
If it looks like a scam and acts like a scam, and this site does, it's probably a scam.
Membership process not clear to mother-in-law (87 year old in assisted living home)
My mother-in-law asked a question on April 1st of this year and didn't notice the trial period language or the information about being charged a $50 monthly fee if the trial period membership was not cancelled. We were told that an email would also have been sent to her, but she doesn't recall this either and we have no record of it. When we contacted the company to cancel and to get a refund, we were refused.
They understand that she is 87 years old, that she is in an assisted-living home, and is living on Social Security, but that apparently makes no difference to the company. They caught her in their process and were not going to return any of the $201 she was charged in the past 4 months. If they would check their records they could verify that she has asked no further questions. We spoke with a customer service representative yesterday on her behalf and even asked to speak with a supervisor. Apparently their customer service center is outsourced to India as the accents were almost indecipherable. My mother-in-law gave up trying to talk with them on a previous phone call as she couldn't understand them (she also has hearing aids, in addition to being 87 and in an assisted living home) - thus the reason her daughter and I called them yesterday.
I cannot believe that their "policies" don't allow them to refund any of the $200 (beyond the $1 question fee) they charged her. They "graciously" cancelled the membership with our call like they were doing us a favor by doing even that. This outfit is a scam and I will be going on every feedback site I can in the coming few days to spread the news about their process and their "refund policy".
I gave them one last chance to refund all or part of the fee and received an email today declining to take any corrective action. This company takes advantage of old people and needs to be fined/penalized/shut down for this type of policy and action. I will look for other outlets to provide this feedback and to tell people not to do business with a company that preys on old people and people that may not recognize the fine print on their disclosures.
Desired outcome: Refund of all or a portion of the $200 of "membership" fees that my mother-in-law neither desired or realized she was committing to.
deceptive practice
I was trying to get information on the Electrolux website to fix my Frigidaire dehumidifier. At some point, I was prompted to pay for an answer. I thought I was dealing with Electrolux, but I was dealing with justanswer.com. The way and place it was offered had me believing I was dealing with Electrolux. I paid on the spot only to be given the advice to contact Electrolux for a possible warranty replacement. By the time I got around to canceling their service, they were already into me for two months at $37/mo. Maybe their service is good, but they did nothing for me that I wasn't already in the process of accomplishing on my own directly with Electrolux. They jumped in, and I feel like it was a deceptive practice. I logged onto the website tonight and could cancel my membership easily, so good on them; unfortunately, it cost me $74 to find out how easy it was to cancel.
Desired outcome: If you feel you want to try them out I suggest getting whatever advice they give you for $37 then immediately cancel the service. If you liked it you can reactivate the service again the next time you need them.
Service/Charges - Be warned!
Contacted JustAnswers July 11, 7:14 p.m. & asked a vet question. Price: trial week $5, thereafter $42 monthly. I would be charged $42 on July 18 if I didn't cancel before. I posted my question & waited for vet to respond. Waited 3 hours, nothing. I went to my paypal account & decided to cancel the recurring charge of $42 monthly since I only had one question for the vet. Received email from JustAnswers saying, "Your membership has been canceled as of today. You will no longer be billed on a monthly basis." Good. Today I contacted them since no reply yet to my $5 question. Was told by cust svc that since my membership was cancelled, it cancelled my trial week too. She said, "You pay for a trial membership when you post a question but when you canceled the payment on your PayPal basically you have also canceled your trial service." When I asked if I was going to get a refund on my $5, she ghosted me! It's only $5, but it's the principle of the thing! THIS SITE IS AS RIP-OFF, BE WARNED!
Desired outcome: Refund/Apology
Unauthorized charges on my credit card at $50.00 a month for 3 months.
I had $50.00 a month charged to my credit card for 3 months, and one pending for this month which was cancelled. I put a stop on all my credit cards to find out what is going on. I didn't order, request your services and was being charged without my awareness. This is a scam, it fraud! I expect to be reimbursed for the money stolen out of my credit card.
I will be contacting consumer credit and the attorney generals office. I will also contact Vice-President Harris and let her know what is going on. She is from California and I am sure she can do something to keep this from happening to someone else. You are disguising. I am on Social Security and do not have money to throw away. I expect to see my credit card reinstated.
My name is Larry Stollenwerk Sr., first 6 digits on my credit card is 517805, last 4 digits is 5987 on my Capital One account.
Desired outcome: Reimburse my credit card $150.00
Back door subscription - should be illegal
Back door subscription
I asked for a five dollar answer to a question and gave a five dollar tip to the legal expert who responded.
I need one legal question answered which was advertised for five dollars but they hid in the fine print, a $50 a month subscription.
I instantly objected when I was charged and they said I was not eligible for a refund.
The reason why I was looking for help in the first place is because my ex-husband doesn't pay my support and I'm out of money to hire a lawyer.
These people are scammers and They do not give a damn about you!
The legal person I talked to didn't mention anything about a subscription! I have absolute faith that they will cling to my $47 for dear life as the scammers they are.
Hide your money!
Desired outcome: My $47 back.
Just answer
SCAM- Bait and Switch.
Paid 5.00 for a question which is fair. Found out I have a subscription and have now paid 180.00 for that question.
Their site reads:
" Users can go for a one-time fee model or monthly membership program."
The operative word is OR and I chose to pay 5.00/1 time. They bait and switch you with article BS fine print.
F-k Kurtzig
Desired outcome: I want my money refunded
Same thing happened to me they should be sued
Paid for service never delivered, stay clear of Just(no)Answer!!!
Needed advice for a medical issue for my dog. Paid the $5 trial fee and submitted my inquiry.
4 hours passed and no vet response. Called customer service and was assured the rep would personally get on the case immediately to get a vet to respond. Hours passed again, no response, no follow up by JustAnswer.
Don't waste your time or money on this NoAnswer scam operation!
Desired outcome: I cancelled my “trial offer”. Now dealing with a reputable online advice vet.
unauthorized credit card payment
Hi,
when reviewing my latest credit card bills I saw that there are monthly payments of € 45, 68 since 4th of May 2021.
I tried to understand how this happened because I am not aware to consume any service of you or agree to a monthly payment.
My e-mail address is karl.[protected]@aon.at
Can you stop the debits on my credit card and put the amount back to my card please.
Desired outcome: Stop of payments and payback of previous paid amount.
Billing for my account
I had recently had an opportunity to review my credit card billings and saw that Just Answer was billing me twice each month for what they say was one account. I was billed on a credit card ending with 7932 on the 20th of the month, and on a credit card ending in 6808 on the 1st. I spoke with people over 2 hours, and then had an online chat with 2 people, the first who just "hung up:" and the second who cancelled my account and told me I would not be billed anymore. I suspect theft, but I guess I will be happy with a refund on the amount double billed. Thank you

Pearl Wilson, Veterinarian's Assistant
I'll do all I can to help. Can you tell me a little more about the dog's situation? How long has this been a concern?
You
Hello, please help my sister with this situation, for it is a huge bone of contention. She had 3 dogs, she had a Cavalier, and two mini yorkies. When she got the mini yorkies, the woman who was the "owner/breeder" convinced her to never walk the dogs for their little legs can't take it and it will kill them. That is the biggest crock I have ever heard. Keep in mind she had 3 dogs that were all using pee pads in the house and 2 of them were also having "accidents" in the house for they were not being walked or stimulated. When I would visit I would walk her 3 dogs even just a few houses down from hers and would return upon them relieving themselves. Ironically the one mini yorkie would get out of the house gate and would wander off, again, my sister would not figure out that the dog needed to be out and have stimulation for mental capacity and that is what dogs need, they need a routine and walks. What is worse is that now I rehomed the Cavalier for she was subject to anger from having accidents which having pee pads in the house equates to having accidents in other areas in the house. Now my sister only has the one little mini yorkie, as she got rid of the sister for she too was having accidents. No matter when I try and tell my sister to just walk Bitsy even 3 doors down and back a few times a day am/noon/pm, as to simulate and regulate this way avoiding accidents in the home, well she refuses to do it. Now Bitsy is having accidents I know that this can be avoided, my sister also thinks that the doggy door which does Not lead to a yard just a very small enclosed area, is not working and she refuses to understand the importance of the mental, physical connection needed for a dog. Finally, Bitsy does have short little legs, but a short slow walk Will Never Kill that dog, I know for the dog walks all around the house and I have walked her in the same fashion. Ironically when I am there and walk the dogs, there ARE NO accidents. Please answer this in a fashion that supports the obvious. Her dog now is 6 years old and ended up with pancreatitis for the dog is OVERWEIGHT and that could have been curbed with some regular consistent exercise. Please help, thank you.

Fraudulent membership charges
Asked a question concerning my sick dog, before I received an answer from them I decided to wait until Monday to see a veterinarian and canceled my membership (?). Received confirmation of the cancelation by text on 6/28. On 7/5 they charged my account $31 PLUS the $1 marker fee. Shame there isn't a bounty on people like these. Going to the bank stop payment now.
Desired outcome: recover my money, send them to Hell.
Billing
On June 27, 2021 I contacted Just Answer for a simple question. I paid my $5 and received my answer. I immediately cancelled the service for which I received cancellation confirmation via text. Now I see a $46 charge on my credit card for services they texted were cancelled. When I called the company, their representative said that I cancelled the trial service but did not cancel the membership. She refused to refund my $46. "You have successfully been unsubscribed. You will not receive any more messages from this number. Reply START to resubscribe." is what the text said.
Desired outcome: Refund
