King Soopers Abusive to employees

We are subject to Harsh Discipline.
If we forget to say "Congratulations, you have been chosen to apply for a King Soopers 123 rewards mastercard!"
We are automatically suspended.
There is favoritism toward teenagers. Teenagers do not get into trouble for talking amoungst themselves but if you are
over 30 you are expected to stay in your work area and keep working.
Or we will get in trouble.
No One deserves to be subjected to such a hostile working environment.

The Abuse at King Soopers Continues, I would encourage you NOT to work for King Soopers since they will fire you if your ELMS Score is not 95% or above, Karen Ledbetter who is the store manager of King Soopers # 6 1750 west uintah st Colorado Springs CO is teaching other store managers how to do this. This is an awful environment to work in. King Soopers says they wish to be a prefered employer. If King Soopers truly wanted to be a preferred employer, then they would not allow tyrants to be in management.

I feel for all of you. The time has come to expose these managers, start revealing the name of the store manager and the store where this abusive manager exists.

I am not happy with the way they handle my situation.

I even brought my paperwork from my doctor's, my situation was handled unprofessional, I'm taking it to cooperate because one thing I am not is a liar and that is what Ben called me when he took a phone call, told my doctor I was the one having these work release form order when we all know I have to have a release doctor's note before I come back to work to get my restrictions lifted up but the truth is they won't be lifted up because I'm that sick I'm loosing blood from somewhere they can't figure out, I have to have infusions for the rest of my life, I would like to see something done to Ben so he can't do this to someone else for me it's the principal behind it, I lost so much time I can't get back, I would like to see all my sick days paid for because the truth is I can no longer push carts I'm that sick

King Soopers doesn't care if an employee gets COVID 19, They let customers come into the stores without mask. There have been associates of King Soopers who have died from COVID 19. The Management at King Soopers thinks it is funny if a customer comes in without masks and gets the rest of us sick. They would rather see us die instead of letting us have our pensions.

Management at King Soopers 58 are racist against Blacks. I was hired as a courtesy clerk, first I was harassed by a Joey, a Checker, first He kept telling Me that "His Black Friend." burns red in the sun. Then He asked Me to come to His House for a threesome with His Girlfriend. That made me sick, especially since He smells like Garbage, and when I saw His Girlfriend I was even sicker. I told Tawnia about it and She moved Me to the Fuel Center. I was discriminated against by Lisa the Manager of the Fuel Center, She would write me up for calling in sick while the White Employees there got to do whatever they wanted. I quit King Soopers because all of the Managers hate Black People. Managers at King Soopers should know that #blacklivesmatter. They got promoted to management because of thier #whiteprivelege, I wish the Black Community would boycott King Soopers and show them that #blacklivesmatter.

The Promise team is a joke, King Soopers always promises a better work environment. They only care about getting rich. Managers are now real jerks since thier job security is hanging by a thread... Each and every store Manager should get fired. Don De La Rosa is the new president of King Soopers, I saw his picture and He looks like a mafia boss, who bribes the union to look the other way when they treat us like crap especially when Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentines Day, 4th of July, Memorial Day, and Labor Day are here. Management is evil, do not apply for a job at King Soopers, they will ruin you and they will make you lose your will to live.

King Soopers Management loves to cause thier employees to be depressed, they will be extra nice to you when you are a new hire, they will build you up, if you are at the age if 18 or 19 years old they will promote you into Management but only if you are Handsome or pretty. If you have any flaws they will quickly treat you like crap and either make you quit or find a reason to fire You. God help you if You complain to the Union, then you are on thier crap list, and the union will turn around and tell you that there is nothing they can do about it. Working at King Soopers will also make you hate Thanksgiving and Christmas because Management gets really nasty, and so do customers, King Soopers encourages customers to vent thier anger on employees during Thanksgiving and Christmas, the Union reps do not visit the stores during those holidays probably because the company bribed them to stay away so that they can have thier way with the employees. This is the time of year that King Soopers wants to try to get rid of long time employees so that they can replace them with Younger and prettier employees who look good in ads and commercials. Your best bet is not to work for King Soopers because if You do, Management will destroy Your Mental health.

At the King Soopers on 815 E Cheyenne Meadows in Colorado Springs I visited the store with the intent of buying food, I worked at another location but found that the supervisor named Tania Weber who bragged that she slept with Danny Bustamento who is also an evil manager so that she could be promoted to Management. I also saw a Blonde Head Clerk named Kristina who was wearing a red off the shoulder blouse and bragging that she got promoted to Management because She wears loose clothing and flirts with 50-60 year old customers so that it makes more money for the store, this is disgusting, I quit King Soopers because of stuff like this, and now I do not even want to shop at king soooers because of the Conditions of promotions and fair treatment are contingent upon looks and willingness to flaunt your body then of course who you are willing to sleep with in order to be promoted.

My story is very complex, and long.I'll just give basics;I was involved in a head on collision, {police were chasing a bank robber in Colorado Springs}-The perpetrator struck my vehicle in excess of-140-mph.I sustained deep muscle tissue injuries that did not surface till several years later.I started having major issues within a few years. At the time i was a head clerk for king soopers.Under my doctors advise, i needed surgery.I tried getting the store manager to assist me in filing for short term leave, so i could get this surgery.Doctors notes provided to the store manager, on several occasions, as well as my doctors advice, directly to the store manager to call my doctor if he had any questions{the store manager would not call my doctor}Next thing im getting a certified letter in the mail, terminating me.This went all the through all channels;from the eeoc-the union-into an arbitrator-I ultimately received nothing in compensation-the union misrepresented me severely-the eeoc dropped the ball-And at least three years after-I lost everything i had, including my career-THANKS TO KEVIN "KILLER" KELLY-I spent alot of time and money on this, and the bureaucracy of paper...

King Soopers Arrogant manager

Bought a blank $50 Master Card from King Soopers at self check out. Because it was self checkout I specifically went up and asked the clerk how to activate it. The clerk took the card from me and scanned it for me and said it was now activated. I asked if I needed to do anything else? He said no. I left. The next day I tried to register card and web site claimed they had no record of it. I called the 800 number and they said they card was not activated.

I returned to King Soopers. I was referred to a female manager who was nice and tried to help. She stated there had been a lot of problems with these cards recently. She wanted to simply trade my card out but was told she could not. The main manager was called. Nick Arceo. He stated there was no returns and they could do nothing and would do nothing. I had the receipt and the card and told him he needed to do something. I explained that his store apparently had a contract with a credit card company. Because they did, when a customer bought their card, King Soopers agreed to activate it. I told him my card had not been activated and that he either needed to help get it activated or contact the company for me. He asked for an Activation Receipt. This was the first I ever heard of an activation receipt. The clerk at Self Serve never mentioned it nor gave me one. I told this to Nick Arceo. Mr. Arceo stated that I was given one. I told him I did not receive one. He rudely insisted I had. He inferred, in front of his staff that I was lying. He didn't bother to check out anything. Just came to the conclusion that I was lying. I was not. At this point, after he had proclaimed he would NOT help me, and inferred I was a liar, I raised my voice explaining that I had bought this card at his store, had my receipt and needed it activated. He told me to be quiet or leave. I told him I would not. He said to leave or he would call the police. He then refused to talk anymore and summoned security. So this must be King Soopers new customer policy. Refuse to help those who have a valid complaint, simply refer to them as liars and threaten them.
Was Arceo surprised someone would raise their voice after he infers, in front of his staff, that the customer is a liar without checking any of the facts out? Just because he's too lazy to find or check out the truth, another should not be upset? At no time did I cuss or use any foul language. The harshest thing I said was that he was a thief and cheating me out of $50.00. King Soopers does not operate in a vacuum. They do not sell anything without elaborate computers documenting and registering each and every purchase. Since I had the receipt, if they wanted, they could have checked time and date of transaction to verify purchase. They would have then known what clerk was working and could have talked to them. They could have looked up the purchase in their records. Since it was a Master Card and they claim a separate activation receipt is needed, then there should be a computer record of the sale ( I had the original receipt) along with a corresponding activation code receipt or lack of one. Regardless, they could have looked into it. But instead of using common sense or spending any effort to help a customer, their new policy, enforced by Nick Arceo was simply to discount the customer, infer they are a liar, then when the customer becomes upset, tell them to leave or be arrested. The manager's action resembled more of a screw you, beat it, policy. I'm out $50.00 because Arceo is too lazy to check the records or ask someone else to. This is no more than corporate theft. An 'I could care less' attitude by a lazy rude manager. Undoubtedly I will see them in court.

Well today I had my step 2 grievance meeting with Kingsoopers. Did it do me any good? NO! it did not .Mat Davids did not want to hear anything I had to say at one point he even rolled his eyes at me...lol I thought it was kind of funny in a way. But as the meeting went on I ask him like four different times if he would like to here the voice recordings I have of the store supervisor Roni telling me that her and the store manager were going to force me to step down and that I would have no choice and how they deny me my leave of absence. The funny part is there denying they even said any of this to me and I have it all on tape.I guess though if he would have let me play it for him he could not of taken there side on this hole thing huh.He just shook his head no and told me that they were just doing there job and that to him he seen no form of hostile work environment that he was denying my request. Dose that surprise me? NO! Did I think it would turn out any different then it did? NO! Do the little people ever win? NOPE! people like this always get away with what they do no matter how much evidence you have on them to prove your case, I have it on tape, time and dates and it still did not matter. How sad is this! Well on to step 3 now. Now its just the point of this matter of how people can get treated like that in a work place by a manager or co manager and nothing happens to them. Oh but if that was one of us little people we would have been fired. Again how sad. ! Please if any of you out there have been were I am or are going through it now please please post you complaints with mine. thank you for reading my store.

What I dont understand is couldnt they check or something to see whether or not it was a activated, then they would know for sure that there was a mistake, especially since you have the reciept. you should contact corporate. King Soopers Beware

Feb 24 2010 i tried to pay for my items at the Ken Pratt pky in longmont colorado tonight. the card scanner was not working. after trying the card repeatedly we had to get a clerk. Her assistance was polite and sarcastic.

The check out was a big hassel, and even tough the clerk said the correct words but did not get into action and do it, fix the problem.I have shopped at another store, which recently went out of bussiness, (Albertsons)

In determining where i will get my food and such, I don't think Safeway and it's clerk are more trouble than i will put up with. Unless, I have reason to do otherwise I will take my Bussiness To King Soopers. just thought you would like to know you have lost a customer due to;Faulty computer scanner and a slow, sarcastic clerk. i have done more than my fair share of giving you feedback about my choice for shopping at Safeway.
