Smith's Cheez it, white cheddar

I am 70 and my husband is 82, we were at the store yesterday, it was thursda and trying to get the white cheddar cheez it for $1.99, we did use our card and asked the store clerk to do digital coupon on my phone, it still came out $3.99 each not $1.99. Each, I had to go back to the isle to take photos to show the store clerk, she said I had to get 5 in order to get $1.99 each. I only needed 3. So after so much touting and walking, I decided to pay for $ 3.99 each and getting only one., that s was what we could afford.

You must enjoy this kind of game, because it happened a lot, the signage was small and you really need to use magnifier to find out what is required to get the discount prices. It is really inconvenient to us the seniors', and even your store clerks told us to complain about it. Why can't you be like walmart to make it easier for everyone if you really want to make it cheaper so people can decide how many they want to buy.

Smith's Pharmacy staffing

We had an appointment at Smiths at 31 Sherwood Blvd, White Rock, NM for the series of vaccines old people are supposed to get now every fall. When we arrived, there were 2 people waiting for vaccines. There was a line of people waiting to pickup prescriptions. And there was 1 person working in the pharmacy. Is this actually safe? The poor guy who was working there was very polite but stressed & told me he would have to stay late to fill out paperwork & sure enough, at 8:30pm (after the pharmacy had closed) he called me at home and said I left my insurance card with him. This pharmacy used to have at least 5 people working in it at one time. What in the world has happened to the staff?

Desired outcome: They need to hire more staff!

Smith's Harassment,discrimination etc.

As a black cashier that’s been with the company for 38+ years should be treated unfairly,when it comes to breaks,job duties and now scheduling. In my eyes I see fellow cashier’s get their breaks at exactly the time they should get them,or they get their second break before I get my first which means I’m forced to wait 3-3 hours or more longer for my break time. When it comes to job duties I noticed cashiers and other fellow employees are allowed to stand in a certain area while waiting for customers,no other duties involved,me on the other hand am not allowed to stand in a certain area to wait for customers,I must do other duties in my area. I had to call out sick due to the flu, and when I came back my store leaders called me to the office stating that all I do is stand around which is not true,they only showed footage on repeat showing me standing around,now as a form of retaliation after having same schedule all these years they now all of sudden want to change my schedule

Smith's Cheap inferior chintzy paper grocery shopping bags

I shop at Smiths Kalispell Montana store once a week... my grocery bill is usually well over $100.00 per week...

Yesterday 8/31 - at 1:05 pm I was taking my 5 bags of groceries to the car when 3 out of 5 of those cheap paper shopping bags broke (the handles came away from the bags) and my groceries spewed all over the parking lot... some glass jars broke. IT WAS DISGUSTING AND EXPENSIVE FOR BROKEN ITEMS

If Smith/Kroger continues to use cheap inferior paper bags I will shop elsewhere! This cheap paper bag piece of crap has got to go.. how would you people like having your groceries all over a dirty parking lot? My rewards card is [protected]... FYI! Store ID [protected]-FYI

Very cheap inferior chintzy grocery bags! The handles come off of the bag itself, spewing expensive groceries all over the dirty parking lot.

I had 3 out of my 5 bags of groceries landing in the lot before I could get to my car and load them...great time picking my items up...some broken jars etc.

This self-checkout is nonsense and so difficult for senior citizens to have to load the items, look items up, weigh produce, and then have to pack them into bags...disgusting and time-consuming

Smith's food poisoning

Yea, its been about 2-3 weeks since I first filed a complaint. I just had hip replacement ,so I have my oldest son shop for me.

I asked for some shrimp and he picked me up a store packaged shrimp for $5.00.

when he returned home I noticed that end of the shrink wrap looked like it had been lifted and placed back down.

The shrimp was slightly l warm, but I went ahead & ate 3 shrimp. within what seemed like a few hours my stomach started hurting and I felt like I was going to vomit. I drank a glass of water and the laid down.

I have had food poisoning 2 times before, years ago. Since I did not eat but a few shrimp, the effects were not as bad as ones in the past . So I had my son throw away the rest of the package.I am very surprised that nobody ever contacted me to see how I was doing.

Desired outcome: I would like a to be compensated for my incident, whatever you feel is fair. I have refused to buy any more shrimp from your store.

My husband was at smiths late last night 6/16/23 around 10pm and saw a mouse running down the aisle he was on. I understand it’s not always preventable but to think there are mice around the food we buy is turning me away from your store. Just want to make someone aware so that they can start figuring out how to get rid of them. This is usually our favorite store but I’m not sure how soon I can get myself to go back there.

Smith's Service

Me and and family were just sitting and trying out one of the patio sets and then some employees came and told us we couldn’t sit on it. We were just seeing if we wanted to buy it, we were thinking about buying it but then we got kicked off and now I don’t want to buy it. I am not going to buy something I don’t get to try out first. The employees aren’t very nice about telling us what we can’t do. I don’t suggest this store!

Never been in conflict before with Kroger, no understanding on this type of punishment. Knowing other coworkers mistakes and interaction with lead Manager Armand. Shouldn’t be anywhere near in this situation. Its truly my first mistake with these scammers. Not having a call-out since last year of July, sick to personal days off. A frankly never got into a physical altercation with a customer. With great manners spoke against managers Not Ever, quite opposite I’m very protean. Main incident is 2 scammers went through the self-checkout an up to my podium. Due to the surrounding busy area, mistake was made in gift card exchange. Original transaction was $2,000, machine read I’D check and so customer refused. Demanded taking off a single gift card with each valued at $500. Totaling the $1500 customer proceeded to purchase with cash. During exchange, customer handed me the money to proceed in purchase. Unintentionally miss counted it the first time and hit cash out. I motioned about the whole transaction, recounted the currency. Coming short with the $1400, one of the two went to the parking lot to get another $100 supposedly. Standing with me was the last person, grew an eagerly odd tension an exited to get his associated friend with money. Strictly inserting the gift cards back into the register where it locks. Unknowingly, somewhere during the transaction, they had switched the gift cards on me. Resulting in them walking out with the cards, leaving behind the empty gift cards. Protecting the dud cards, pacing back a forth, ensuring they're still in the register. Morally, would never intentionally make this mistake. A lot of people made more mistakes than I have, not understanding why this severe of a punishment. Therefore Protocols wasn’t taking place, personally degrading my performance. Store managers Cathy and Kenya are against the actions that were taken upon me. Peers including Janice and Susan were angered on how they treated me because of so. Most importantly, the lead of Loss Prevention doesn’t agree that I should be suspended or demoted. Throughout the course of time, been micromanaged by Armand. Specifically targeted for reasons that Janice could mention. Blatantly give newcomers more of an opportunity to new departments through word of mouth. Feeling of exhausted or on toes, It's nothing between. I will never tolerate the hostility presented from him. Won’t give the chance to be dehumanized by Armand in Courtesy Clerk department due to knowing it will escalate things.

Desired outcome: Asked the union on how to move forward Its still in the beginning process. My pay got cut along with hours. Lead of LP didnt know of this punishment an went behind managers.Didn't follow protocol one for instance forging managers override.

Today, 5/7/2023 my wife and I were returning from a veterinarian appointment for our cat. We chose to then stop at out local smiths market. Being that it’s over 80 in the shade today we chose to take our cat inside with us so as not to make it suffer in the desert heat.
