My daughter and my fiance came in the store on 8/11/18, and she asked the cashier at the desk about cashing a check. Due to my daughter being 12years old, she don't have an id. My fiance which is 24 also her guardian had id to cash the check. He handed his id to the store manager and she made the smart comment you can not be her dad and laughed in his face! I was on the phone the whole time! I worked in customer service and I currently do home health and I would get repermanded if I ever spoke an ignorant comment to a customer! lack of tv trays
My local Kmart on Veterans Hwy. in Metairie, LA does not carry or are out of TV trays of any sort. They carry "serving trays" which are not TV trays. I asked two sales persons and inquired at customer service as well. None of them said that they were out of stock; they were clueless (although very polite). I was seeking pretty much any wooden set. I ended up ordering them through Amazon, on-line. This was on August 6, 2018.
filthy parking lot
Yesterday and went to shop at the K-Mart in McKinleyville, California ...a store I shop in a least once a week and have shopped there since they opened years ago. The parking lot was so full of garbage...not trash, GARBAGE...and baskets. Baskets full of garbage, clothes...bags of garbage that animals had gotten into and strewn about. It really stunk and I was so grossed out I almost didn't go inside. But I did and when I got inside, workers that could have been cleaning up the mess and bringing baskets to the front, were just yacking. There are homeless that camp out in the woods adjacent to the store, which is a lot of the problem...but those same baskets and garbage were there 2 days prior! There's simply no excuse. There IS room inside the store for the baskets...so why not eliminate a lot of the problem and keep them inside so the homeless don't keep taking them...they are all over the place up in the tree area, upside down and turned over. Workers at the store need to kick in and clean up the parking area...especially to the left side of the store. Also, people camp out in their cars, homeless people...and they beg for money as you walk in. I even had a guy come up to my truck window and tap on it so he could ask for handouts. It's not the clean friendly happy experience like it used to be...it's a gross, disgusting and even scary place anymore. I hope something's done about it soon, or I won't be back. I'm 66 years old, so not just some kid trying to start trouble! I'll take pictures next time, wish I had thought to do that, you wouldn't believe it. Thanks for listening

This morning, I went to Kmart at Bay Village in Bateau Bay to purchase a new electric blanket. Mine broke yesterday. I was told by the staff that they had "been put away" a month ago. Today is the start of August. A month ago would have been the start of July. Winter officially began in Australia at the start of June. I have had similar problems with Kmart in the past. I recall going to buy swimwear and an electric fan a month after Summer had officially begun, only to discover that they had been "put away" and winter stock was on display. Whoever is responsible for seasonal merchandise rotation needs to be taught what the seasons are and when it is appropriate to take seasonal stock off the shelves. Your ridiculous policy lost you a sale this morning. I purchased a good quality electric blanket from Coles Supermarket and you have just given me another reason NOT to shop at your store.

Hello, my name is Baan Alhanoush and I tried to shop at Kmart today. I was purchasing 4 items and was going to use my 7 dollars on my freecash coupon. The cashier there asked what the name of the card was it. There are 2 names, my husband and me. I accidentally said my husband was the one with the 7 dollars freecash. The cashier told me there was not 7 dollars on it. I asked why and she explained to me why, I tried to tell them that it was on mine name but, then before, the supervisor standing next to her said sorry mam there is nothing we can do about it, in a rude tone. I was only trying to change the name. I was trying to get things straightened out. Then, she proceeds to tell the cashier not to sell it to me. She was so mean and rude. He spoke with the lady and told me that I could try with my name. He told the supervisor to come to tell me that i could use a different cash register. She walked over to grab my items and hand them to me when, I said no. I told her i would never shop at this Kmart again. She was so rude, I could have solved things with the cashier r but, she came in and started refusing for me to purchase my items. I just needed for them to listen to me and I could explain. You called 911 because the cashier hurt your feelings? I am surprised you weren't charged with wasting police time. There was no need to call the police let alone call 911 over this matter. You were tying up the emergency lines. Imagine if at sometime in the future you needed to reach 911 for a life or death emergency but they were too busy dealing with frivolous calls like this one? On July 13, 2018, I received a package that included an invoice with the correct order as shown above listed on that invoice, but the items listed on the invoice are not the items that were in the package. Please note the following listed items that I received from you in the package, as they were nowhere listed on the invoice, and none of the items listed on the invoice were in the package. I was making a return in store 7374, West Chester, PA
After waiting in line for 20 minutes for someone to come the returns desk the employee comes behind the desk and takes a phone call that lasted 15 minutes while she informed the customer of all the points they had available in all the different categories. I politely asked her if she could please put the phone call on hold and help the people that have been waiting in line for 20 minutes. With that she became verbally abusive and screaming at me telling me how rude I was next she calls the manager and tells him that there is a crazy customer yelling and causing a scene.
I literally turned around to look and see who she was talking about because I was neither crazy or causing a scene.
The other customers in line agreed she was totally out of line and owed me an apology. To top it off she goes to the customer behind me and waits on them. The customer told her I was next. With that she went on another screaming tirade that she is not waiting on me, get the [censored] out of this store and sarcastically said goodbye.
I have never seen or experienced anything like this before. The manager came out and I told him she should not be in customer service. I was not even given the opportunity to explain what happened. I finally got my refund but I will tell you this...I will never ever shop at a Kmart or Sears ever again. If that is the kind of people they hire then I want nothing to do with them. This woman we clearly crazy and the line of customers agreed.
I do not know her name but I do know she was about 5'2", bleach blond hair and in her forties. I intend to continue to complain until I know something has been done about her behavior

Let me try to clarify what happen.
There was NO ONE at the desk for 20 minutes
When she finally arrived she saw there were 4 angry customers who had been waiting for 20 mins. (and yes she knew) she should have asked the customer on the phone to please hold. It would have not been any different than if she had me waiting in line for 20 mins and then decided to wait on the person behind me.

First of all, i really want to see a video of this. You did not wait OVER 1/2 an hour, in line, at a customer service booth. The reason why i say this, is because the Cashier Lead monitors that. The minute she sees people stacking up, to return something, she calls for back up. You clearly waited for 5-7 minutes, but decided to exaggerate, to pad your story. As a result, No one believes you waited 20 whole minutes, without informing An employee... or calling the operator for guest assistance! You just stood there?
If you truly did wait 20 minutes, why didnt you advocate for yourself, to ANY employee walking by. Sounds fishy to me... Almost like you just signed up for Yelp, and were itching to leave a bad review. I also believe, if you were telling the truth, about this situation
that you would not reply to EVERY comment, with a defensive tone.
Next time, state the facts. Dont pad your story, to inflate the drama... Maybe then, we can actually believe you.
K-Mart exhibits poor customer service most likely due to its low salaried staff. From our observations, in the Westfall PA area, is that K-Mart employs staff who simply are incapable to provide quality customer service. The K-Mart by us is regretfully dirty, items strewn on the floor, and incompetent cashiers.

I went to Kmart in Festus, MO on July 31st around 1:30pm. I had 4 pairs of jeans that I wanted to buy so I went to check out. The cashier's name was Taylor. I had two coupons for $7 free cash and $10 free cash if you spent $10 in apparel under my grandma's account. I didn't think about using my grandma's phone number for rewards so I entered my phone number under my account. The coupon wouldn't work so I asked her if I could change the number to my grandma's account. She said she would have to void the whole order and I told her that was fine. She then rolled her eyes and went to get the manager. The manager came and voided the order. She rang the order up again and I gave her my coupons. She advised me the two $7 free cash were the same coupon so I only had one $7 off that I could use and that the $10 free cash would go on my points. I had thought I was getting $24 off but when I found out I wasn't I asked her to remove 2 pairs of jeans. She then rolled her eyes again and said she would have to get her manager. I told her to just give me my coupon back and that I didn't want any of it since all she done was roll her eyes everytime I asked her to do something. She said all she did was ask me for my card and that she didn't roll her eyes. She went to get the manager and as she was talking to the manager she was laughing about the whole situation. I told the manager that I didn't appreciate her rolling her eyes at me and then laughing about it when she told her. All the manager said was ok sorry. It was all very unprofessional and rude. I will not be going back to Kmart in Festus and possibly not going back to any Kmart if that's how the employees act. It's a shame too because I love the deals Kmart has and love to shop there too.

My Daughter went to K Mart while on vacation in Rehobath Beach Delaware on Monday July 30th. My daughter found this perfect Patio Set the size & price she was looking for, she was so excited. ( see attached) when we went to purchase the Patio for $150 which is half of $299.99. The manager said I cannot do this a d I suggest you write to the company. Could you please look into this matter. After a week of waiting and holding my payment, multiple calls to customer service reps, and paying premium for shipping, they will email you 2 days after the expected delivery date that they cannot fulfill the order. My kids were bummed not to have the Little Tikes bouncer on their birthday party. They could have informed you the day after placing the order that it is no longer available, but no. Seriously, what kind of service is this?

The cashier that took care of me was the worst type of customer service that I have ever had. She took my purchase and throw it on the counter as if they were garbage. Not only did her attitude state that she didn't want to do her job she told me to figure out why my coupon didn't work. She was very rude and unprofessional. I am VERY upset because I researched this set online and it even gave me the option to purchase online and pick up in store. I decided to go into store to purchase/ pick up, and the only set left was the display which I still wanted to purchase. The manager told me I could not purchase the set. How could you tell a customer they could not purchase something that's available in the store to buy? I even wanted the display, which was not the best! I am very upset and will not be here at this Vernon, CT. KMART or any other Kmart for that matter, to shop again! I have never been told I couldn't purchase a display item, or something available in a store. I will keep my money then! handicap carts

I am a handicapped woman who enjoys shopping in your K-mart stores in Kearny, NJ and Belleville, NJ.
The Kearny store had one handicapped cart but it is no longer available. I would greatly appreciate if it can be replaced.
The Belleville store has one cart in which I am grateful for- but many times I am waiting as well as others for the cart to be brought back from another handicapped customer.
It would be greatly appreciated if each store could have at least two handicapped carts available for us customers who enjoy shopping at your stores but need assistance in doing so.

I was in Kmart in Riverhead, NY on 7/13/2018 I went to customer service and explained to the woman who also was not too nice or cooperative. My brother had passed away, I was living out of state, came back then went to nursing home to get his belongings. he always loved his music and bought a number of CD's but were never opened, still in original wrapper and had Kmarts sticker and price on all. All I want to do is to return them for a store credit because he did not have the receipt or receipts. I have never had any problems returning anything to Kmart before. So the woman at customer service ended up calling Victor the mgr. who then came up to the front of store. I again tried explaining why I was there, he very rudely said I can't do anything for you? I said are you kidding, all are unopened with Kmarts pricing. I said well I guess I will be calling Kmart and file complaint, he very rudely said Oh you don't have to go home and points to a sign you can call from here. I said NO I will go home and do! Still waiting for District Mgr. to call? And keep getting lied too? A lady named Rone 7/13 said Justin district mgr will call well, that was another mgr. at Riverhead? Why do you have to keep lying, and still no one has ever gotten back to me? What makes you so special that you're exempt from their return policy? They have their policies for a reason, you can't be mad at them for upholding them. Sounds like you're just mad they didn't bend over for you.
They may have been unopened with the Kmart sticker but how old were these CDs? If they are no longer in their system, they can't do anything about it. They won't be able to resell those CDs . It sounds less like rudeness and more like a case of you not being able to understand that no does not equal rude.
Not to mention most don't even carry CD's anymore...

Shopping at Kmart in Waupaca, wi on July 18th 2018 checked out at 12:18 at register 7 with a lady named Ellen .she had a very rude tone and didn't explain about the receipt if wanted a copy or email. She stated that wasn't a question... Do you want a receipt or an email ? all I wanted to know was what the email was all about. Also was upset do to me taking hangers off the clothes. returned jacqueline smith patio set and no refund
We purchased a 7 piece Jacqueline Smith outdoor patio set from Kmart online in April 2018. We received the set in May, assembled it, and it immediately started rusting all over our deck. We called kmart to return it, and they sent someone out to pick up the set May 31st, within the return deadline time. We have pics of them picking it up. Called kmart 10 times now, spoke to managers, and they keep saying they will send us emails (which they don't) and call us back (which they don't). They owe us $475 for the set and they keep delaying hoping we will go away. We won't. We filed a complaint with our cc company and are filing with the PA State atty office. No wonder kmart is going out of business, just terrible customer service!

Hello, I emailed a week ago and still have not received a reply, I have used the pet hammock once and it broke- it's disapointing as I was very excited to keep my dog safe and secure and to avoid my car getting dirty. The strap broke and my dog even slipped. It's actually a terrible product and I wouldn't recommend it. Can someone call me or email me back?

I purchased 12 items on July 4th 2018 at approximately 4: 56 and I spent over $50 and did not receive my $25 cash back and the lady that I spoke to was a very rude for no reason about that and told me that I should have read the fine print but it literally the cash back was completely everywhere in the store so how was I supposed to know and it didn't have fine print because I checked for pricing and everything before I went to the front counter and I'm a loyal customer because I like the discount and I like the cash back but they're about to lose me because the lady was so rude and I never even received the cash back

I am waiting for a receipt for my purchase for over 15 minutes, seems no one at the register's knows what to do. I can see why this company is going out of business in so many towns or cities. Lack of knowledge or lack of customer service skills is very apparent. I work in retail and I could teach these people a few things about how to take care of the people shopping in the store. I guess that's why most people are shopping at other stores. Very disappointing for me because I do try to shop locally.

I place an online order for same day pickup. I check my email conformation & it shows it did not take my points off. So i call Kmart & talk to the assistant manager & she would not listen to what I was explaining to her. I specifically said I placed an order online for same day pick up & my points were not added to the total amount do. She said online orders are different & they have nothing to do with the payment issues & online orders are shipped to us. I then said well nothing is being shipped to you since it's same day order ! She put me on hold about 3 times. She tells me she has nothing to do with payment issues or points. I then proceed to tell her that I was paying in store so she would be dealing with the payment. She gave me a number to call & when I asked for her name again she kind of changed her attitude. I always shop at Kmart but DEBBIE definitely changed that for me !
You purchased it ONLINE and you're mad the store couldn't change any of the payment information? She tried telling you, as you listed twice, that she doesn't have anything to do with that and you still were mad? You should have listened the first time and followed her instructions instead of getting mad at her. It's not like the angrier you get the wider her abilities extend.

I have had a horrible experience with an online order I placed with Kmart. I ordered a Garden water fountain. First, they cancelled my order and indicated on the email that It was upon my request. Then, I go through the hassle to reorder the item. They send it to me damage and poorly packaged. The fountain was cracked & broken, inside styrofoam was broken, and wires tangled up. I personally returned the item to UPS and went through several reps /phone calls in order to receive a refund. I placed the order in July. I can’t get a refund end of Sept. This is ridiculous. I asked for email of return policy and they can’t send it to me. Yet, their policy is making me wait 21 business days. Yet, I have been already waiting a month. Never doing business with KMART again. No wonder their stores are closing and business is falling. I will stick to Target and Walmart.
