Kmart customer service on exchanges

01/06/2018 Warriewood Kmart Store

Today I bought I set of flannelette sheets. The packaging said they were king size sheets however when I got home they were actually queen size sheets. I returned to the store with my receipts. Instead of offering an exchange since I just want to swap sizes they charged me another $32.00 before refunding my other money saying this was policy. However before I even paid for the second set of sheets, I asked the lady if I could check they were actually king size sheets before I purchase them. She refused me this request saying I have to buy them first even though I had just purchased sheets that were the wrong size. I believe this is horrible customer service and now I am out of pocket for something that was not even my fault.

Kmart employees / loss prevention

Employee or whatever their title is followed me around the store from the time i walked in the door to the time i walked out of the fitting room the employees were standing outside the changing room at this point i decided it was very rude and i left everything i was gonna buy in the cart and walked out .I dont steal and i had at least 200.00 cash on me ...their loss i wont shop there ever again

Kmart purse

I have bought a purse in the Kmart NYC by penn station. When I got in my Uber I realized that the cashier did not provide me a receipt. I was not able to go back to the store and claim my receipt due to a schedule conflict at that moment. . I do not live in the city, I was there for a visit. I came to Long Island and wanted to return the purse. In the store farmingville Kmart they explained that I needed the receipt, I explained the situation and they still did not accommodate my request. I understand that they have a return policy but I was never given a receipt from the cashier. This is an error done by the employee of the Kmart company, not me. The manager was not friendly, she seemed annoyed at me instead of trying to be helpful. She was not wearing a name badge so I don't even know her name. It was not a pleasant experience.
It's very upsetting because the bag is less than 15 dollars and I don't understand why they wouldn't provide the right customer service to an individual that shops there often.

Why didn't you get a receipt? I wouldn't leave without one... You can't be mad that they didn't take your word for it. They have their policies for a reason. No receipt, no return. Simple.

And nothing about you is special, they don't need to "accommodate" ie break policy because you were too stupid to make sure you got a receipt. Maybe you got one and lost it, maybe you stole the purse, there's other possibilities so you can't be mad you didn't cover your bases.

Kmart manager of store 3175 in hooksett new hampshire

This is a complaint from a employee of as well as another employee and 2 past employee's Debra Poisson the manager of the Hooksett, NH store #3175. Debra is a rather mean spirited and heartless individual to work under that has a very conceited mindset and will not hesitate to berate and belittle employee's during the store's open hour's when the slightest thing goes wrong in her opinion. Being an employee since around October of last year I have witness the hostile work environment she places daily on her employee's and when the stop coming into work she believes it is no fault of her own and they just weren't cut out for the job. Doing the unloading of a truck the aforementioned previous employee that recently quit had been pulled from his station on register to help unload the truck. To add more info this was also his first time doing it. Near the end when moving stuff and finding miss placed items she immediately turned to him and openly said in a rude tone. "What can't you read?" Due to some misplaced boxes on the pallets. Another thing to note is that she has been doing this for multiple years. My grandmother used to work under the previous manager before his retirement and she took over. She said she was the worse person to work under due to her hostility. My brother as well has worked here and had similar complaints about her. But she still prefers to maintain she is not the cause of the mass amount's of people i've seen leave the day or two after she has openly yelled at other's and on occasions she has done it to customers. She is also no slouch when it come's to prioritizing her own vacation time over others. And I personally have heard her say on more then one occassion. 'I'm just trying to keep this store open long enough to get my pension. After that it doesnt matter."It also speaks very poorly to her ability to be a people person when I asked about how other's that have been there can stand her for so long the responce was."You learn to tune out the pissyness after a while."

Corporate doesn't monitor these sites so by posting this online nothing is going to change. You need to speak to your human resources department or district manager if you want a change to be made. And even if they did monitor these sites, an anonymous post isn't credible enough to do anything.

Kmart return policy and wait time at service desk and cash register

My local KMart is either extremely understaffed or staff aren't available to run registers. There's usually one register open anytime I shop there. Customer service is appalling! There's at least two employees at service desk and are talking about their schedules, etc instead of assisting customers. When the staff member finally directs attention to the customer she's at a loss as to how to explain the return policy. I waited 15 minutes behind a lady making an exchange today. She returned an item and was trying to exchange for a different size. The customer had redeemed points with the purchase but was not allowed the even exchange. The customer was very upset about the wait as well as very dissatisfied with how the transaction was handled. Only one person was working the service desk although I observed several KMart employees walking around the store. I like shopping at this store but absolutely hate the checkout and return hassle. I won't be surprised if this store closes in the near future. This issue needs to be addressed by your corporate team! I left KMart and went to Walmart where checkout was fast and accurate. My complaint is with Statesville NC store. Wait times for checkout are very long and customer service desk staff aren’t interested in helping the customer. Just talking in phone or to each other!

Kmart poorly trained cashier and rude customer service rep

We were in the Gainesville Fl Kmart today and I was so unhappy with the rude employee Regina. We purchased 2 large bottles of water. My husband told the clerk that he brought two empties and asked what the refund would be on them. She gave him s deer in the headlights look. He explained again and asked what was the return on the empties. She said that she did not know and continued to ring up our order. I asked her to ask for help if she could not answer our question. She billeted to Regina who said that she would be over soon. When Regina came to the register the clerk attempted to explain my husbands question. She no way understood what we were asking. My husband explained his question for a third time. Regina told my husband that the ticket part of the machine was broken. I asked her why the clerk had no knowledge of the broken machine let alone a refund on empties. Regina did not even look at me. She very curtely told me that the clerk was new. I asked her why clerks were on their own if they did not have proper training. At this point my husband said he would finish the order because Regina had no obvious customer skills. Regina then very loudly and rudely told me WOW. And I started to leave the store. I turned around and asked her if she just told me WOW. She repeated the word WOW again and I left the store. I can not begin to describe what a fiasco this experience was for us. Untrained clerks who do not even bother to ask for assistance when they cannot answer a customers questions. Rude and disrespectful customer service reps who go out of their way to embarrass and demoralize a customer in front of other customers. I have made my last visit to that store. I am also going to make this very disturbing experience on the local sites on Facebook if this matter is not resolved tomorrow the 26th of June. Kmart the law

I work at the Elwood Indiana Kmart. I make 7.25 and hour min wage. The other day it was brought to my attention that my drawer had come up short. I didn't deny the fact I just accepted that I may have made a mistake somewhere. They informed me that they were going to take what was missing out of my paycheck. I wasn't happy about it at the time but wasn't really a lot that I could do. After a few days Iv done some research and come to find out that employers can only take money from your check as long as your pay doesn't fall the Minimum wage line. Which mine did. Does this mean what they did was against the law? And if so what should I do about it?

Kmart i'm an employee

I worked at your Elwood IN Kmart location. First off the store is gross but that's not the reason I'm contacting you. This is in regards to the manager Dave at the Elwood location. He is a horrible manager. The man is constantly gone or if he is there he is normally telling you what to do while simultaneously texting on his phone. If he is talking to you and you have questions he will cut you off with the "excuse me I'm speaking" or "let me talk" line. There has been multiple times that I have been working and obviously could use a little help and he will stand there and watch. I unloaded a truck the other day by myself because my coworker called off. And Dave my manager stood outside the truck because it wasn't as hot and watched me do the entire thing on my own. Another time I had to carry a pool out for a customer and needed help because the pool was to heavy. Dave was standing near by so I asked if he could assist me. He said yes and walked over to the intercom and paged a 18 year old 4 foot 11 inch girl to come help me which took her about 10 minuets to get to because she was already busy with something else. Me and the customer had to sit around and wait which wasted both of our time because my manager was to lazy to help himself. I'm tired of seeing this man treat all his employees like they are less then him. And talk to us like we are beneath him. I strongly suggest something is done about this. Thank you

Kmart pet toy-battery operated butterfly

Recently (10-06-2018) l purchased this item from your Albury store for my 11 week old kitten. On the following Wednesday evening on arriving home from work the kitten was playing with this item when the sharp edge of the butterfly lodged on the corner of her eye causing a cut to her eyeball. This was followed by an immediate trip to the vets with eye local antiseptic, dying of the eye to inspect the damage, a course of antibiotics with a follow up dye inspection on Friday 15th resulting in a $235 bill. luckily in this instance there is no permanent damage but l feel that you should be more stringent with your product testing in future

Kmart layaway

About two weeks ago I took my auto to brakes plus. They inadvertently caused my engine to blow with their negligence. I am elderly and disabled without caring family or friends so could not get to the kmart store to pay on my layaway. I called the pueblo store to ask if there was another way to pay, and they gave me the 1-800-349-4358 # to pay. I called and got the other country rep, who could not even understand english, much less help me. I reiterated several times that it was not an online layaway and that it was k-mat not sears. I asked for an american, which she refused. I asked for a supervisor, again refused. Being frustrated herself, she told me to hold on, that she "would call the store to find out what to do, promising that she would be back to me, for me to stay on the line. I then got a voice mail, and she was not there. Me, thinking that it was a voice mail to kmart, left a direct and not so happy voice mail. This morning I receive a call from sears from my not so happy estranged son (who has not spoken to me for about a year) asking me, in an angry way, why I was calling sears to complain about him. It would look that way to me, if I was him! So, I am not complaining about him, just the transporting my call to his store, by the outsourced personnel. This originally caused more friction in the already frictioned family situation. I am very upset at the girl that did this, just to rid herself of working. My son, as an employee of sears, came to pick me up and took me to k-mart to pay on the layaway, to help me to be a happy customer of sears. Let me remind you that this was not even a sears issue! So, with all due respect, this was nice of him! I did not pay on the layaway, but took the layaway completely out. I will never be back at k-mart again! I tried calling to complain about the girl, got another outsource personnel, who also refused to transfer me to america, and"could not find a supervisor", so promised a call back from this supervisor. No call was made to me by her! I am expecting it the twelfth of never! I called your executive office and left a message, and expect that call the same time, as no call was returned to me from you! If this is the way you run your business, maybe that is the reason the k-mart store in pueblo is the only one left in the entire southern region of colorado, and the sears all are closing down also. You used to have 2 k-marts in pueblo alone. Don't blame the economy anymore for the closing of stores. It's the lack of good service, and outsourcing to non-caring entities that are losing your customers. Even your executive office does not even care to make a quick call back to save a customer. Or are your closing stores a good tax write-off? Let the media know the real story behind you going out of business. Your ceo is sneaky and self serving to say the least!

Kmart unsanitary lunch

I was at Kmart store San Patrício Plaza Puerto Rico today when I decided around 2:55 PM to grab some lunch I went to the cafeteria where I ordered the special of the day white rice with chicken and beans proceeded to sit down and while eating my food noticed there was a cockroach in my food I proceeded to kill it with the napkin captured an image and immediately stood up and went to the lunch lady threw my lunch away and complained to her about the situation she immediately followed and answered "Ever since hurricane Maria we've had problems with cockroaches" Incredible but surely she reacted very calmly as if what was going on was normal. Upset to my stomache and holding in the desire to throw up completely disgusted with the situation and with her reply I followed to ask for the store manager at the front desk Annie Lugo explained to her the situation and she stated that she was going to speak with the lunch lady (cafeteria employee) to see in what manner she could work to better the situation. While speaking with her I noticed another cockroach just climbing down and going under the bread oven placed next to the customer service desk this time I didn't just grab a photo but I captured a video with my Iphone. So grossed out completely disgusted with this sanitary issue and the way this situation was handled I asked Mrs. Annie Lugo (manager) to please write an incident report because tomorrow morning in contacting the local board of health and my lawyer. But to my surprise Mrs. Lugo refused to write an incident report and stated that the cafeteria employee had clocked out at 4:00pm and that she was in charge of writing the report and stated what was the issue all about that the cockroach was seen dead in my napkin not in my food thank god I captured images and videos. This lady is completely unprofessional and this Kmart should not be operating it's cafeteria if it doesn't comply with the sanitary board of health regulations I called Kmart store Guaynabo and also wrote a note in the visitors log in sheet stating the store manager at the moment refused to write an incident report and snapped a picture just for evidence of todays horrible and unsanitary lunch at Kmart. This must reach the ears of the companies president CEO etc.

Kmart service at roosevelt and tyson ave phila pa

I was in line and the women ahead of me had the cashier ring up her things and then said I have to go to my car for money. That alone should have made the cashier say I can't do that there is a long line and only 2 registers open but she let her she was gone for at least 4 minutes and I said you need to good her sale and make her wait . The cashier proceeded to tell me she can't do that which is a lie . Then the women comes back and she is a dollar short and has to go back to her car this again was another 4 or so minutes. At this point I said who does this good her order . She said I can't. I went to talk to a.manager and waited 10 minutes and she never showed up. Obviously she must have trained the cashier since neither have customer service qualities. I very rarely go there and will never go.back and will make sure I let everyone know of my experience. If a person goes to pay and don't have money you good the sale. I worked retail it's not hard. Ahixza my cashier at Kmart Blvd and Tyson ave phila pa around 530/540 and their manager need extensive training. It is a shame the Kmart on Frankford ave did n't stay open instead of this one. It's no wonder people shop others stores. Huge disappointment.

Kmart managers and employees

As a former employee of a kmart store I would like to shed some light into what occured at your rehoboth beach, delaware location. I am a trans individual and faced discrimination from employees as well as customers. My gender identity was used against me to allow sexual harassment and misconduct from fellow employees and from customers. I also noticed some practices that go against policy, such as clocking out at scheduled clock out times and still working until the store closes and/or working before scheduled times and then clocking in for a shift. Another thing I was as much a victim of as others were their blatant disregard for employee allergies and mental health concerns. (which often makes it so that employees are begging to be taken away by ambulance and then refused to do so by management) they also would over staff knowing that they had no budget and expected employees to live off of 5-10 hour weeks making the state minimum wage of $8.25 an hour. Most of the employees live in low income apartments and cant afford gas even when we reach the maximum of 29 hours a week and so I and many of my coworkers went without being able to pay utilities or for food because we worked so little we couldnt even apply for food stamps. Employees work injured and dont report it because management and HR go against policy and retaliate on their employees. Such is why I have waited two months since teeminating my employment after being sexually harassed for the final time by a fellow employee with management telling me that it was my fault to come forward. They are rude and nasty and go against everything that kmart is supposed to stand for. I hope you will actually do something about this problem because if not, it makes you just as bad as them.

Kmart poor customer service

The Kmart located on limonite Ave has extremely rude employees. Everytime I have gone to that location I have had a horrible experience with the employees. They all have very poor attitudes and act as though it is a burden on them to actually do their job and help a customer. This last time I went shopping there I was going to purchase a coach that had an on sale sign on top of it stating it was only 129.99 but later when I was at the checkout the employee very rudely said that it was a mistake. I completely understand that the sign was probably misplaced. But in no way is that a consumers fault that the employees did not do their job and label the items correctly. Every single employee there has a horrible attitude towards their job. With all that being said I would never return to that location or recommend it to anyone.!

Kmart kmart online website

I'm very disappointed in the website. I just spent a good 2 hours endlessly searching for children's clothing. Most of the items are out of stock. The items that I could find, I ordered, only to go to the checkout and be told an additional 13 items are not available online. It's been a complete waste of time, and caused a lot of annoyance and irritation. And you've just lost a good $300-$400 because I was looking at replacing my Daughters entire winter wardrobe. I won't be bothering to use the site again, this has been a repeated issue and I've only used the online service a few of times. Each time has been an issue with availability. The prices are good, but I think the greed has gotten the better of you. Greed is coming before quality of service. You should stop being so greedy and selfish, and start looking after what's important in life. Good honest and fair service for your staff and customers. The greed needs to end, and getting back to basic ethics is called for here. You've lost my respect and business. Even as a single parent with a very low budget, I won't support such filth. Where's the morals and respect gone in this world.

This is the response received by Kmart. No acknowledgment has been taken in regards to the lack of stock availability. They've blamed it on the browser and cookies. This is avoiding responsibility if ever I saw it. The last time I purchased from the website, the same issue happened. That time it claimed the product was available online, but then I was told it was not available (after I had already paid and was waiting for the delivery). They tried to charge me $10 delivery for a $12 item, because the other items I had paid for had to be refunded, because they had no stock. The time prior to that, it took over a week for the delivery, and it came in 4 different deliveries, and it was still missing a hat. Now they claim it's my browser. Well what's the reason for your inability to find the stock you claimed was available on your website, inwhich I paid for? These excuses and the complete abuse of power, lack of respect, ethics, and integrity, need to end. It's a huge shame for the roots of this company. How greedy people take over, and make something good into barbaric absurdity. Karma will sort it out, I wash my hands of such low acts.

Kmart i'm complaining about an incident that happened at work

My name is Carissa Stevens I am Currently an employee at a Kmart in Gulfport mississippi. June 10, 2018 i was Off of work at 3:00pm soon after i was Sitting outside the building waiting for my ride. While i was Waiting their appeared to be a man sitting on the outside merchandise, as he was sitting there he was verbally harassing 2 female customers. As the women were leaving the store he was yelling out uncomfortable comments and i knew They were uncomfortable because they started to talk back to him and tell him to please stop. The man kept making the comments so i got Up and asked the man if he was waiting on a ride or waiting for someone and he said "no why" i said Because you can't sit here in front of the building doing that to the customers in front of the store so i asked Him to leave, the customer made the comment "typical black people always telling others what to do" i said Sir if you don't leave i will get a manager. He insisted that i get a manager so i went Inside to the customer service desk and told the present co worker that their was a man outside sitting on the merchandise refusing to leave. The response i got was "he can do that it's fine" before i can Further explain the incident the man comes marching in the store yelling "i was Just minding my business when that girl told me i had To leave" he then points at me and says "I'm calling your corporate office and imma have you fired!" He said this 3 or more times Still no other co workers were helping to calm the man no one was helping me no one was listening to me. He kept pointing at me disrespecting me when i finally Got to tell the rest of the story of what the man was doing to the women customers i was Told "It's none of our business" the co worker just kept saying this over and over again while i was Talking. Still and all the man was outside the store yelling, he was walking to his car getting other shoppers involved just making a big scene. The co workers i approached about the situation were supervisors on the floor and one was a customer service lead! I admit I said Some things back to the man because i was Trying to help get him out and just remove the drama away from the store and back outside to not cause anymore scenes. No manager no more coworkers helped me they just kept saying "it's none of our business" no one wanted to help me with this man or listen to me. I wasnt very pleasant but its because i was Really upset at my co workers and the type of action they took against the problem. While i was in the store the man was walking out in front of me and made the comment "why don't you go loose some weight or something" I've never felt more embarrassed in my life because i had Employees standing right next to me and all of them left me to fend for myself. Wether i was Off the clock or not i was Trying to solve an issue at a place where i work At and it's sad because i was The only one who seemed to care. I never Felt more embarrassed in my life i was So angry that i really Wanted to throw my badge on the ground of that store and quit! I wasnt Innocent in the situation but i couldnt Believe how the supervisors and co workers could be so careless to a situation like that

Kmart rude customer service associate

placed an on-line order for same day pick up on June 9, 2018 around noon at Store #3076. After waiting for approx. 4 hrs. I decided to just go to Store #3076. I asked the customer service associate if I could pick up my order and she said no. 2 hrs. later I went back to the customer service desk and talked to someone different. I asked what the hold up was. Her reply was "Obviously we are busy, can you not see that?". Did you not understand what you were told before? " God, some people just don't listen very well do they". " I will tell you this like you are in kindergarten so you understand me better. No e-mail means no pool, understand"? Not my fault you're impatient". "Can you just step to the side so I can take care of a patient customer"? THE RUDEST person I have ever met. I have spent thousands of dollars at that store and I will NEVER spend another penny because of the way I was treated. I don't know what you could possibly do to make up for such a rude and disrespectful employee. I did not get the employees name but I will make sure I do when I go back to get my pool that I ordered going on 8 hrs. now.

Kmart american greetings coupon

Kmart had an american greetings $2 off 2 cards coupon located at their greeting card dept. When I tried to use the coupon, the store's register would not accept the coupon. I would be happy to scan my receipt and coupon. It hadn't expired, I made the eligible purchase. Neither the cashier nor manager could get it to work. They didn't make any attempt to fix it, I got an 'oh, well'.

They demand so much from there employees credit cards, syw and transaction rate. they focus to much on these factors to save there company when clearly it's not helping look at all the business they loosing. from pushing the employee ad customers with so much questions and rebutels. and if an employee does not comply the will cut your hours which is very un - called for and un - lawful. they obviously up for a huge lawsuit here. corporate needs to take there head out of there [censored]! and really appreciate there employees and shame on these store managers for allowing them do this to there employees!

Kmart jaclyn smith centralia 6 pc dining set gray

I came in to purchase this set as it was on sale for $398... Was told they only had the chairs, and could not sell floor model we checked surrounding stores they didn't have any either, it is unavailable to order online and the closest pick up is ripon, wi which is 6 hours away, talked to service counter, assistant manager and store manager (Marcin rosinski) he claimed that he could not sell floor model per corporate but could not do anything over an hour in the store not counting the 20 min wait to find help to have them locate one in lay away that was not being picked up

Kmart canopy missing from pop up canopy we bought

My husband and I purchased a 12 x12 pop up canopy from your Kmart store in Waynesville NC on Friday June 4 to take camping with us that night. When we went to set the canopy up the canopy was missing along with the stakes.
this was very upsetting to us we was way up on the mountain and to far for us to return it that evening. We left camp on Sat June 2 to return it we couldn't find the receipt so when we had phone service we called and they said they could look it up on my rewards card for Kmart so we said we would bring it on in. When we arrived they lady at costumer service said we would have to bring it in on Sunday that it took 24 hrs.' to show up we explain to her how aggravating this was that we where camping in mtn and the lady we talked to didn't tell us that. Needless to say we didn't get to enjoy our camping trip to much for all this running around and wasting our gas. We did return it Sunday after finding our receipt. We are not ones to company but if the people in the store check nothing out before returning it to shelf it would saved us a bunch of trouble I think we should have lest got some kind of discount but they didn't offer thank you for taking time to read this
