attitude from service representative
Went to the Lemay Ferry KMART in St. Louis today and had these problems. Most item are not marked with price. Items ring up at different price from the one displayed. Checker does not move screen so that prices are visible while they are being rung up. Have to help employee find the item on shelf to check price. Service representative (Diane) had an attitude regarding the whole situation. One of the item s I purchased had a sale price but only on 1 of the flavors (written in small print) and the second rang up at regular price. I think it is bad that I have to price check almost every item I but to see what the price is. I can totally understand the troubles they are having and expected store closings When I entered the store I got wet from drips coming from the ceiling. No rain in several days. I wonder if the EPA would like to check this out? Can't see myself shopping there anymore.

Situation:
It was MOnday, 08/21/2017 about 8pm, I went to buy one thing a dish rack.
I located the item and come to find out there was a sale tag on the shelf for $5.74 when the cashier rang me up it was $9.99. I mentioned the sale price. She went to check came back and said it was not the correct item. She also brought back one that was on sale but still it was not the one I wanted nor the material/color I wanted I then explained that there were several stacks of them on the shelf right above the sale tag there were no gaps next the dish rack so I automatically assumed they were the correct item. I asked her to honor the sale price of $5.74 and said she couldn't. The cashier then recommended to speak to a manager. She walked over to speak to the manager Yajaira her self and I could over hear them the cashier was loud and obnoxious while explaining the situation. They both walk back together and the first thing the manager says it which one is cheaper. Let me point out she did introduce herself, nor did ask about the situation or apologize for the store mistake. After she says which one is cheaper I then tell her that is not the one I wanted and if she could honor the price. She says "I cant I'll get in trouble". The manager sounded like she was a little girl unable to make independent decisions for the sake of the store losing a customer. The manager, was unprofessional, immature, and looks like she has never had any training for the position she is holding. No smile, rude and she had lots of attitude. I believe the manager sets the example for other employees in the store and I hope they do not fall in her footsteps. As she definitely does not know how to handle herself with customers. I work hard for my money, and because of that I would like to have been treated with more respect and good customer service skills.
I like Kmart and really wish this would have not happened.
Now I will think twice before going.

I was at the kmart in Clarion Pennsylvania purchasing sport team apparrell gloves that were marked clearance for $0.49. After checking the price at a courtesy price scanner I discovered they rang up $0.01. Thrilled i went back to snag a couple more pairs only to be told at the register that they are unable to sell them to me at a penny, nor sell them at all until they fixed their system issue. They should've honored the price and fixed their systems after my transaction since the fault was on their end not mine.

I went to purchase a washer and dryer set at the Bridgeville PA Kmart. I had to locate an employee after waiting for someone to acknowledge me. A man came up and went to see if they had both the washer and dryer in the back. They did not have the dryer so he said that if we wanted to purchase floor model for 10% off we could or we could wait for the next shipment. I was fine with either option. However, he brought another employee who's name was Dennis into the conversation and he was absolutely rude and ignorant. He said we could not purchase the floor model at all and as for when they would get more dryers in He had no idea and didn't care to find out. We even offered to buy another dryer which of course was not in stock either and were told if the dryer went on sale that would be the only way we could purchase that floor model. It had a huge SALE sign on it by the way. We were not trying to get a better deal just simply buy a washer and dryer and we had to leave because though the store sells them I assume not to us. This man doesn't deserve a job! He walks around the store pushing a cart with his own things in it and was completely useless. Paying employees who act this way is why your stores are rapidly losing business!

I was at the Kmart in Jamestown, NY. The people that work there are never very clean or presentable and always smoking right by the front doors. (Very unprofessional) I went in to buy cleaning products and underwear. The Jaclyn Smith underwear are 5 for $20.00 they only had 2 in my size so I asked if they would please give them to me at the 4.00 each price. They refused to do that, very bad for business and I told them to cancel the rest of the order with my remaining items. I went to Walmart for everything, it is cheaper for everything I was buying anyhow. It is really bad for you guys, (Kmart) to treat people like that, especially when I was going to pay way more at your store for cleaning items just so I did not have to make a trip to another store. I do not know if I will be going back anytime soon, my suggestion as a General Manager of a local company is to train your staff how to do their job or you will be going out of business sooner than later.

Visited this location today 8/10/17 at approx. 6:50 or so. Location, 375 alessandro blvd riverside ca 92508. One of your fixtures arms in children's Dept. had a bit of clothes but it was pushed all the way back and unfortunately my son hit his face on it. Your worker hear but did nothing. Accidents happen so I continued school shopping. A bit into shopping an announcement was made only cash payments can be accepted. Had to leave the store empty handed. So upset in Kmart and it's customer service. As someone that provided it for 10 years I can say it was very disappointing.

Went today to kmart located on Nartinez Nadal in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico and was looking on the school supply and saw a headphone on clearance. I was surprised that it said $3.50 from original price $17.99. Went to paid and the customer service employee said it was $23. He called the manager but instead camed another employee (Mr.Maldonado) with an attitute. He said thats not the price. I said it is marked $3.50 but he said he will check with the manager (who never camed at that moment) so he camed back and said that the price was wrong that the sticker was changed and that the sticker was in the left side of the box and they never do that. I assumed he mean that I did it. I went back and ALL the boxes had the price in the same place of the box. I took two boxes and show it to the employee who attend me first and he apologized for that. This time the manager was hearing what I was saying and he just ignored the situation. Mr. Maldonado also mentioned that today they also had another situation with a lady that had a conforter set that was marked $1 and that he knew she changed it. Which again he insinuate I did the same. I live across this store and in the last year I have been just a few times because this store has the worst customer service. Years ago this Kmart was the best store in the area. I am very sorry to write this but I had seing so many things in this store with other clients that I can't ignored any more. Thank you.
I love the shoes i've been getting but now they never have my size
i wear size 11 and have been wearing basic edition shoes, mocassins for years and love them, if i couldn't get them in the store, they would order for me. now for awhile they never have size 11 in any moccasins. the 1 pair i bought were 1 i never had and nothing like what i had before. i have bought on ebay when possible. i asked if they would be in again. instead online i get they are available, then 1 min. later they are not, and everyday i get advertisment. i called online and was told try in a week, no way i could order. i love these shoes. would give anything to get them. i would gladly pay more

they have 8 lanes and only one open and your sevice desk person didn't care to call anyone or help anyone.. this is why kmart is closing all the stores service and employees r rude and not helpful at all that's if you can find an employee to help you..And lets not start with the store manger ungodly rude and not very helpful either.. Everytime I go in there to get help I can never find anyone and if I do I got lucky that day..
returning an item
I was very displeased with your return policy. I had bought a gas grill from Kmart in Bennington, VT. I had decided it was bigger then I needed and wanted to return it. It had been 32 days. They would not discuss my situation. I was told it was corporate policy and I couldn't even get an exchange or store credit. I called your complaint dept. I was told they would send me a whooping 5% off coupon. I felt that was simply a slap in the face. After several minutes on the phone with your rep, that barley spoke English, the above was their solution to my issue.
Now several weeks later I have received nothing from Kmart in the form of a coupon! ANOTHER SHOCK! Oh well I guess what is 5% anyway!
This may be some of the reason Kmart stores are closing and Walmart is prospering! I had a return to Walmart with no receipt and it had been 95 days. WALMART REFUNDED MY CASH!
On top of all of this I no longer receive Kmart emails to my email about my points or promotions.
Apparently Kmart does not need my business. I really liked shopping at Kmart, but with the above said I shall have to do business elsewhere if a better solution is not met.

same day pick-up
I place an order for 3pairs of water shoes on Saturday July 29th 2017. The shoes were available for same- day pick-up at the Crofton store. It's 11am Monday July 31st and I have not received any mail to pick up my orders. I thought same day will mean same day for Kmart but I am wrong. I wouldn't have bothered if these items were available online as ship to store items. My kids need the water shoes for their water day tomorrow. I should have gone to another store instead. I have called the store once and their customer service twice.

The man that answered didn't ask any follow up questions which shocked me right then because clearly you are not trying to keep a customer. He just gave me a phone number and the times they were open. I like to do things myself so I asked if there was a way for me to do it online. His response? "You can but I can't see your account. Which is why I gave you a phone number"
I wasn't asking him to look into my account, no [censor] you can't see the account, I'm not signed in and again you asked no follow up questions so clearly you aren't in my account. I was asking if it's possible and to just lead me to the right direction.
After I explained that what he had said was a little rude and I was just asking for a sense of direction. All he replied back with was "I am not being rude." That's it. No further help. No further questions on how to help. No apologies for even if he wasn't being rude and I just thought he was. Nothing.
After that, I asked him for his representave ID number, a name and I also requested a supervisor. His reply, "Brock." then he ended the conversation. Never answering my questions, never allowing me to chat with a supervisor and never even giving me enough information to file a complaint.
The main reason for my chat in the first place was because my daughters 2nd birthday is coming up and we decided on getting her a bouncy house for her birthday, I messaged in to cancel it so I could just start a new layaway contract with a bigger one. Now, I'm canceling my layaway orders and going elsewhere. That essentially was my first interaction with Kmart as I had set my layaway up online. Customer service means everything in a company and I can tell you right now that you have lost a customer because of your customer service.
The worst part? You can't do anything about it because he gave me no information on who I even chatted with.

I was in the Boca Raton, FL store with my girlfriend. Store was clean and tidy. My girlfriend(let's call her Alice), and I decided to split apart for a bit, she went to shoes, I went to sporting goods. There was no one manning the sports department. I had to go to garden department to find anyone on the sales floor. "Alice" was able to find what she was looking for, thanks to Valerie(?). I finally was able to get some help, but he was too busy talking on his phone to help us. Some guy named Grama or Gama or Grahm. Too busy to serve a paying customer? Are you kidding me? When he was done talking, he was touching "Alice" up and down her arm. She kept saying to stop. We just left our stuff and walked out. Never going to that store again! Going to target or Walmart from now on!

My husband received a hat for a gift, so we didn't have a receipt . It is too large. We tried to exchange it but they wouldn't let us. I understand the policy, however when you receive a gift it is common not to have a receipt. So as you can see this policy does not support good customer service. I asked for corporate phone number and they gave me four bad numbers. I had to find the information myself. This was just for a purchase costing less than 20 dollars. We didn't want money back, just an exchange. I talked to someone on the complaint line and they wouldn't help. This is why Kmarts are closing. Target and Walmart doesn't make it this difficult to exchange a gift. I will never use your store again!

Called again associate name Deborah was rude did not seem of service refused to transfer me because she clearly did not understand my concern that's why I needed to be transferred. Worst Kmart ever. Shopped kmart of traverse city. Michigan. Was over charged. When I noticed later I went in and asked for it to be corrected. They looked at the price and said yes you were but. The manger manager said oh well you should of paid attention and walked away. Made nasty rude comments in front everyone. I was disrespected and want what's owed to Me. Just because they are closing and out of jobs doesn't give anyone the right to act that way. Shopped July 19 2017 and went back in July 20, 2017.

I am literally appauled! I finally decide to shop at your store and placed a order for 3 items! I get a call a hour later that my items are not in stock and my order was cancelled! Now I am suppose to wait 7-10 days for my refund! ! I feel like I've been robbed out my money and I'm also highly upset because the items are still showing available online! plus start garden tractor battery
I bought a Plus Start garden tractor battery for my Craftsman riding mower. I used it one and it started ok. The next week it wouldn't start. So I charged it on a battery charger, mowed the lawn. Next week same thing. It's not holding a charge. I tried to return it to Kmart in Huntington where I bought it. Cashier couldn't find record of the purchase on my credit card or my Kmart rewards. I spoke to manag and she said there nothing she can do. I'm furious! I have shopped at Kmart for years and I'm not going g to shop there after this.

On July 19th at 7:15 a.m. I stopped at the Kmart store on Airport Thruway in Columbus Georgia and went to the side of the building not the back where the trucks go but the side and was clear of any vehicles coming in or out from the back of the store including the big trucks that deliver I was straightening out the trunk of my car so I could put other items from inside my car into the trunk because they we're getting damaged by being thrown around, I'm in the process of moving therefore my car is loaded down I was not using the dumpster even though the dumpster was empty, after being there for about 10 minutes one of the employees came storming out the back door jumped on a on forklift flew over to me on the forklift almost hitting my car with the forklift acting as if my presence was unlawful, she screams can I help you so already I can tell this is going to be a bad conversation so I simply said no you cannot she said excuse me she obviously expected me to say something else and did not like my response at all, she then tells me you need to get the hell out of my parking lot you cannot use my damn dumpster you cannot be back here, I said ma'am first of all I'm not back here I'm on the side of the building she says well I have trucks coming in and out of here and you can't be here I said I'm in the clearing of the trucks and/or any traffic coming behind the store and then I did State you're in the process of going out of business so why would there be any trucks coming in here to bring a load? Either way I'm out of the way of the vehicles. She then stated [censor] you need to leave this [censor]ing parking lot now before I called law as a matter of fact I'm calling them now so you better get the hell out of here if you don't want to go to jail all of this rudeness due to the fact She assumed that I was back there using her dumpster and was pissed about it I don't know if an employee made her mad and she came to take it out on me but it was very unprofessional and very uncalled for. I really don't appreciate that and she's very lucky that I took anger management classes is all I'm going to say because if not she would have had a bad day. I asked for her name as I was leaving and she just looked at me and laughed and flip me a bird and told me to get the hell off of her property now. Before I got into my car to leave the property I asked her if I made throw a paper towel into her dumpster and she told me hell no that I could not. I then asked her what the hell her problem was I've been stated it's not like I'm doing something wrong by cleaning my trunk to put my other items in here and she looked at me with this malicious look on her face and stated yeah right you're not doing nothing bad back here anything wrong you're probably back here doing drugs. safetrax shoes
on may 26th, 2017 I bought a pair of safetrax shoes for work. On 7/17/21071 I realized once I got to work that the shoes had split on the top around the top of the toes. I did have my receipt so I took them back to the store. I was told by the woman at customer service they would not replace or refund the money I paid for the shoes since it was past the 30 days. And that I needed to contact the manufacturer when I asked how do I contact them she said Google it.
Never have i been so infuriated. She was rude and got an attitude as if I was asking for something that was unnecessary. I have been a loyal customer for many years and I have never been treated this way.
