On 1 August 2022, I received the attached email from what appeared to be an offer in cooperation with Kohl’s. The offer turned out to be a scam phishing email completely misrepresenting the offer being made. After taking the requested survey regarding shopping at Kohl’s, I accepted the offer for the free Ninja Foodi XL Pro Grill & Griddle with a requirement to p[ay a shipping charge of $1.95. There was another offer which I declined. After the transaction my credit card company emailed an alert about the charge except that there was a 2nd charge for $99.95. I called my credit card company and inquired about the charge and filing a dispute. They said that the charge was “pending” and to talk with the merchant first, after which if I did not receive satisfaction about removing/refunding the charge, to get back in contact and file a dispute. I contacted the merchant using the 800 number([protected])furnished on the charge to my credit card which turned out not to be Kohl’s but “The Best Shop[pers Savings Shop.” After talking with a customer service representative, and her many attempts to have me keep the transaction by offers of free ear buds, a 50% reduction in the $99.95 charge, etc, I refused all of them and demanded a total refund. She put me on hold and after a few minutes came back and said that the company would refund/reverse the $99.95 charge but could not refund/reverse the $1.95 shipping. I insisted on refund of both charges but she advised that they could not/would not refund/reverse the $1.95 charge.
I send you this to inform Kohl’s of this scam/phishing going on that brings discredit to your company name. I would ask that you take some actyion to stop these criminals from taking advantage of anyone else. I for one am not going to put up with this and am filing a complasint with my credit card company for the $1.95 chipping charge. The amount of the charge is not important but addressing this criminal activity is.
Please advise if Kohl’s is going to take action regarding this and what action that is.
Thank you.

Desired outcome: Reply from Kohl's Fraud Department advising of action taken by Kohl's to prevent this criminal activity.
I can see this persons full name and address! This should not be the case.
Like the Lady above, i received a offer in my e-mail about a free griddle Grill, for takin a short survey. What is so intriguing about this scam is the fake people that is during the reviews are complicit to this crime. I think they are fake. I have a sense of compassion for the Lady who was partly taken. Keep working on that shipping charge.
Here is how I handled it, because it seemed so real at first. Who could not use a free, no cash Griddle Grill.
So, I decided to take the scam survey. It seemed so easy, and had the feel of honesty to it. However, there was a snake in the grass. As I completed the survey, there was offers that I refused. In my mind I could see that nice Grill on my countertop. So, we are at the credit card information input. Here is where the red light came on in my head. I thought quietly in my head, now if I give them my card number and my three digit code, that I have given these crooked people a blank check. To make a long story short, that is when I put in in reverse and sped out of there. People beware!
Almost Scammed
Hello, I just did a very similar move today. I received the email saying I won LeCrueset ware with just a cost of shipping cost. And it had a clock ticking on the screen to tell me how much time I have to get this offer. Anyway I get auto-fill info. so they did it for me, phone numbers, email address, of course address. then It clicked to me, something is not right, if I won the item why they show the ticking clock for me to respond in a hurry. So I DID NOT fill in my credit card numbers. I just turned back and left the site quickly. After I left I checked the sender's email address, it bypassed by using some technique to bypass Google security email part and it did sneak in to my email box. Even though I did not go through with giving my credit card #'s, I remember seeing my IP address confirmation along with other personal information I mentioned above in their gift approving process, now I'm worried they could get in to my computer and figure out other sensitive information with their evil skills. Well anyway I informed the existence of this evil entity somewhere in the cyber world to the financial institution, I hope they will look after our hard earned money honestly and securely. Let's be really careful and DO NOT get allured by " Too good to be true" evil trap. From one senior woman who is hoping I will be ok.
I did similar move on "You are selected as winner of Lecrueset" using Kohl's email.
I went through to the last part, filling in the payment info. = Credit card info.
If I'm the winner why the ticking clock to tell me I have the time limit to get this offer. Then I remember seeing my IP address while they are confirming my validity. Then hit me it's a evil scammer.
I did leave the credit card infol blank and high tailed out.
But I know they have my IP so I'm a bit nervous about that, I'm hoping I will be safe.
From one senior woman who is still wondering about security.
I'd like to know the formal name and phone number of the company if you could provide it. Best Shoppers Savings Shop doesn't seem to be listed anywhere. They are not only using Kohl's but a host of other companies and scams. They need to be stopped.
The name of the company is My Keto Pro Fit, supposedly out of Texas. Their number is [protected].
I also had the same scam but they refused to refund the $99.95. I’m waiting on my credit card company to resolve my dispute.
The name of the company that appears on my credit card statement is My Keto Pro Fit and are supposedly based out of Texas. Their number is [protected].
Most of these Phishing attempts are actually backed by foreign governments. It's no longer a couple of sad basement dwellers. You have to be vigilant in what emails you respond to and do your due diligence. Google is a search bar away.
Just received the same survey after survey they give u only 4 mins to pay and tell u if u leave the page. U will lose ur prize. To fishy thanks for sharing ur experience. Sorry this happened to you
That's not how it happened with me. The scamer are getting very good at making things look legit. 😔.
I received an email from a sender named “kohl’s winner” it felt suspicious because it said that I have been chosen for winning a customer gift and attached were suspicious links that led me to a quiz. The first question was who created google. I immediately looked it up and thankfully I didn’t move forward with anything so please beware of such suspicious emails claiming to congratulate you for nothing but scam.
Yes, I received the same email and luckily I caught it before I gave out my creditcard number to them. I still feel very worried since I gave out my personal info. email address, phone#'s and other info. ( it was autofill format). I hope they won't wreck my financial business. People please be aware, they are really really tricky any more. Very Evil People out there.
I was scammed by an email that looked like a normal cool's email and all of a sudden I was charged 3 different times.
I received an email and it looked like a normal cold email so I opened it and said I was a winner I clicked then it charged my card 3 times it took a total of a $102

I got the same email. But of course once I checked the sender I knew it was a scam...
My multiple Kohl’s emails are basically the same thing, just different “prizes”. They are never from Kohl’s or to me, which are automatic red flags. I forward (report) them, and all others like these, to:
abuse@att.net
phishing-report@us-cert.gov
SPAM.UCE.gov
I also forward AMAZON, PayPal, and Capital One ones to:
stop-spoofinf@amazon.com
spoof@paypal.com
abuse@capitalone.com
I also copy all spam text messages and send them to 7726, which is the AT&T Spam Reporting number. After AT&T receives your text they reply requesting the number it came from. I always send it to them by going into INFO on the sender and clicking SHARE CONTACT. Which is easier than having to write down the sender’s number and then typing it the message box to send to AT&T. Sometimes the sender’s number is an obnoxiously l-o-n-n-g one probably on purpose to make it too much trouble to bother to report!
Hope you will also report everyone of these bogus spam and phishing emails and texts.
THANK YOU SIR!
XCELLENT WRITE-UP AND A BIG AMEN TO YOU REFUSING THE $1.95 Shipping.
I too was informed by my credit card company about suspicious/dubious charges on my card AFTER taking the so called "Kohl's online survey"
They tried to charge my card TWICE for the so called FREE cookware and Ninja Knife set.
We all know that NOTHING, repeat: NOTHING IS FREE..
But using a Popular name like Kohl,s after completing a survey...well I guess we need to remember it's a third party ...and "If a deal seems toooo good to be TRUE ...Then it 99.9% is!
My question is...How did the people sending out the fraudulent emails that have the Kohls survey reward Thanking you for shopping with them...and offering a Nice Ninja knife set for just the shipping cost...
Know that I shopped with Khols in the past few days...and at that point..Incidently I just so happenly gave the cashier my email address that she asked for..so I could be informed about future discounts, coupons, and sales...and rewards.
It's too coincidental to me...sounds like Kohls data base network probably has been compromised. No other way would the plishers know I had just shopped with Kohls.
Just saying...🤷🏼♀️
I have never shopped at KOHL'S. Infact I don't even know where they are located and yet I received an email saying that I was a winner of a Knife set. SCAM was sent from this email address: Linda.Patterson@tnaveca.org

Thank you for the warning. I almost fell victim too…I’m pretty savvy when it comes to things like this but the scammers are getting better everyday! It looked totally ligit- always do your research first if you get a bad feeling.
We always research things like this rather than falling for the scam. If it is too good to be true,it probably is a scam.
Dec 14, 2024. I just received that same email and was trying to to find out how to notify kohls
