pool and hot tub terrible condition
I had booked this room for one reason - it had a hot tub. Upon arrive the first question I asked before I paid was, you have a hot tub right. The clerk said oh ya we have one.
We proceeded to our room changed our clothes and went right to the hot tub to find it deplorable. It was spitting out black water and looked totally uninviting. We had traveled 11 hours that day and were looking to relax in the hot tub. The pool might have been an option but it was so full of alge that we didn't attempt that either.
I personally had a hot tub and pool at our residence for 28 years and it never looked like this. This was days of neglect to get to this point. I can't believe they have not had other complaints.
We have finally retired and figured we would start to travel and use our LaQuinta card to billed up points but after this stay I'm was totally disappointed. I believe it must be the manager that is not doing a good job since we have stayed before at LaQuinta and have not seen these conditions.
I would like to request a refund of the charge.

hotel room and front desk clerk
We stayed at the La Quinta in Lakewood CO, checked into our room at about 12:20pm (we came from a red rocks show) when we got into our room we wanted to rinse off. And there was a huge poop stain on the bottom of the shower! It was disgusting but it was 1 in the morning so we didn't want to go back downstairs and complain, we decided to go to sleep and just say something about it in the morning. So, when we went to go check out of our room we let the front desk woman know that we had a problem with our room and showed her pictures of the stain and she just stared at the picture with a blank face and literally the first words that came out her mouth was "well you're not getting your money back." We didn't even ask for our money back, but yes I was expecting at least an apology. I asked again there's nothing you can do? And she said well you guys are already checked out so it's too late you should've said something about it last night ( WE LITERALLY STILL HAD OUR ROOM KEYS IN OUR HAND) so no, we were not done checking out. She did nothing to help, was so disrespectfull and didn't even apologize. It was horrible customer service and really uncomfortable to be in that bathroom with someone's elses poop smeared in the tub. And yes I now want a refund or discount because we paid $165 for one night to sleep uncomfortable next to someomes fecis in which we can smell in the whole room. Who knows if that bed was even clean!? And to be treated poorly by the front desk lady I will never go back there and I will be letting my friends and family in this area know not to go there.
extremely disappointing visit
When we first got into our hotel room it smelled horrible, the AC (that we could not shut off all night) was caked with dust and smelled like the filters haven't been cleaned in a while.
The dry wall was falling apart and left all over the floor - we have a 3 year old and a 9 month old so it wasnt too exciting to deal with.
There was someone else's hair on the pillows in the room... thank goodness we brought our own.
It seemed like this room was just skipped over by room service.
The one good thing I can say is the ladies at the front desk were very kind.
hotel
This motel room is disgusting ! My comforter had stains and looked like hot Cheetos smears on it. Called the front desk James said they didn't have any extra clean comforters? Really! Offered to let us move rooms... no I believe all the rooms are nasty! The man in front of us was complaining about hairs in his bed! Seriously just very gross. The pictures here are dust built up on barroom corners and on towel shelf . There was mold under the faucet in tub.
charged 2 times
I had placed a reservation through booking.com for a reservation one night when i was extremely upset and scared for my life. I didnt realize when i made the reservation it was the wrong day because i was so distraught. You can ask the clerk that booked me in that night that i was crying and making sure i was safe and no one would know where i was. I also asked for a cancellation via mobile that night and stated the reason why. I have contacted y'all once before regarding this and y'all still charged my card for both nights. I have stayed with ya'll a few times in the past and have been very happy but I am very disappointed that despite my circumstances and the fact I did what I could to not be charged twice it still happened.
customer service of corporate supervisor and manager
Had a problem with The conditions of the La Quinta Inn at Indianapolis and we called corporate to notify them and ask for help. We were transferred to a supervisor Ashley who was extremely rude and canceled our current reservation with out our authorization. We asked to be transferred to a higher supervisor we were connected Shantel a manager who was even more rude and cut me off every time I tried to speak to her. We finally disconnected because the level of rudeness was just unbelievable. We stay at La Quinta inns often but after this experience we will be finding a different chain of hotels to stay with. I would rather pay a little more and receive better customer service from the corporate office.

condition of my room
I arrived at La Quinta on July 25th and stayed until July 31st, over $1, 000 bill. When I arrived I unpacked everything, hung my clothes put things and drawers and also put things on counters. I didn't notice the condition of the room when I arrived period later on that night when I went to close the curtain in my bare feet I stepped onto soggy carpet! It was then I noticed the carpet was buckled all the way in front of the TV area in room 402. The carpeting was also frayed and coming apart at the entrance to the restroom and along the wall! There was mold along the tub top and behind the toilet. I was only there for a few short hours each day to sleep and did not have time to complain to the manager. When the manager did call me back, all she offered me was a free night at La Quinta! Please! I believe I am do a substantial refund. if I don't hear from you within a couple of days I will call the Better Business Bureau. This La Quinta is in Islip New York near the airport MacArthur.
Please don't have the manager of the LaQuinta Inn in Islip call me. All she did was repeat herself over and over again, telling me that I should have reported this when I was there. My room should have been clean and ready for me when I arrived, not that I had to change rooms!

I have written to you before. I did not receive a satisfactory call from La Quinta. I do not want a free room for a night, I want a refund of some kind. I realize I should have complained while I was there for 6 nights, however I was busy from the minute I woke up until 11: 30 at night when I crashed. It was a very busy 6 days and I did not have time to go have the manager check my room out and move me out to a different room on the 4th floor, if there was one even available. I am allergic to cats so did not want to be in the pet-friendly rooms.
The carpet by the air conditioner was very soggy. All the carpeting was buckled and I happened to trip over it one night when I was wearing heels. The carpet was also fraying against the wall and into the bathroom area. The bathroom had mold along the tub and near the toilet. I was very disappointed to say the least. Since this has never happened to me before, I thought I could resolve this when I got home.
I believe I should get a substantial refund. Please don't have the manager from La Quinta Inn Islip call me because she repeated herself over and over again. She obviously doesn't want to please a customer. I have never done this before, but the room was in terrible condition except for the bed. This should have been taken care of before I arrived. I shouldn't have to interrupt my stay to change rooms, especially when all my things were hung up, in drawers and on counters.

occupancy taxes!!!
Stayed at a LaQuinta in Brooklyn on Aug 4 and 5th. THe room we reserved was for 229 plus tax
when we checked out there were several taxes added to the bill
The hotel Occupancy tax of course $1.50
The City Occupancy $13.46
The State Occupancy $20.33
and then the most interesting Tax
Occupancy Tax - Jacob Javits Center $2.00
Now it is only $2 but What the hell is it for. I did not got to the Jacob Javits Center which is in Manhattan, Jacob Javits did not entertain me while at the hotel. So please inform me as to why I was charged this. I would like a refund, though I don't think I will see one.
Last year stayed at this hotel and was charged $32 to park my car and if i used the car, I had to pay another $32 to park again. This year I parked on the street.

room on recent stay
I am a Gold rewards member, I use the La Quinta almost every Saturday to do my online work. The outlet at desk in the room did not work at all, plus the carpet was damp and a heater device was left in the room which I almost tripped over. I am not a complainer but that unfair that I spend money with La Quinta for a specific reason only to not be able to do what I need to do.
laquinta inn aurora, co
I made reservations 7/27/18 and 7/28/18. I am a member. I was so out done with the quality of the room. I drove 16.5 hours from Memphis, TN to Denver, Co. The room had mole on the ceiling and shower curtain in the bathroom, dust in corners, trash (papers, plastic utensils, old sock), floor/carpet dirty dark brown spots very visible through the green carpet, wall had brown spots as though fluid splattered, odor was bad, light fixture didn't work, soap scums on mirror and the number to the room was painted on with a marker. I was so exhausted just finishing my cancer treatments to show up for my sons birthday celebration who is in the navy at Buckley Airforce Base. I got to the room around midnight. We purchased sheets and blankets from Walmart to use as barriers so I wouldn't get sick but did anyway. I was afraid your establishment would keep my money. I can't believe I stayed. The young lady said you had to pay up front. This was horrible and unacceptable. I'm hurt that The LaQuinta I'm accustomed too would have their name on this building. This is wrong on so many levels. I'm very unhappy and will never stay there again
bedding, linen and service
I checked in at the hotel approximately 1:30am. When I stay at any hotel I always check the bed linens because of a high case of bed bugs. As I pulled the sheets back they had all kind of spots and stains and to top it off it also had blood on the sheets. I immediately went down to front desk to see what could be done because the phone did not work in the room. Front desk said there was nothing they could do until morning when the manager came. They did not have any rooms left so it was a pull out couch in room and it was hard as a brick. I called this morning to speak with manager and he refused to speak and asked to send him the pictures. I sent the pictures to see if he could accommodate our stay or refund. Have not heard anyrhing else from manager.
Similar experience--bed was soaked with urine--not damp but soaked. Manager refused to speak with me. Called customer service and was told someone would contact me within 48 hours. Hopefully I will receive a call.
hotel filth.
On July 28, 2018 my wife and I stayed at
La Quinta Inn & Suites
600 Bypass Road
Williamsburg, VA.
In my 67 years I have NEVER encountered such filth and poor maintenance at any lodging facility. The carpets were absolutely disgusting and many things were broken, such as several ice machines (I went floor to floor trying to find one that actually had some ice), lights, etc, There were holes in the walls and the linens and the shower flooded the bathroom floor.
We had booked the stay for two nights but had to check out after enduring one night of these conditions.
Something serious needs to be done about this facility. We travel to Williamsburg every summer but most assuredly will. never, ever consider staying there again. It cost us $168.87 for this terrible experience; I suppose that's the cost of learning a lesson.

vomit in the swimming pool.
So August 1st we arrived and as soon as we checked in the kids wanted to swim. So we went and changed clothes to start swimming. Once in the pool the kids were swimming and someone's child threw up. I reported it immediately to the front desk and pulled my children out. They did not shut the pool down nor did they attempt to treat it. I also reported the incident to management on August 2nd and was assured their pool is treated daily but nothing was done... Called corporate and nothing was done whatso ever. Very disappointing that a hotel chain like this would be comfortable with the unsanitary conditions of their pool.. Which 90% of people with children base their hotel booking off of in the first place. No stars for this place...
bathrooms in the hotel we stayed at.
My spouse and I went to a La Quinta in San Antonio Texas off f Randolf Brook a night ago. We have been n the road all day and love every experience we have ever had with La Quinta. Except this one. The first room we gott, the bed was a little stiff, which is perfectly okay seeing as our backs wewere hurting us. I went to use the bathroom and found a towel shoved into the toilet with hair and pubic hair all over it. The toilet had no water because the towel soaked it all up. We asked to get another room. The staff moved us to the room across the hallway. At this point we were so soar and hurting to badly to go find another hotel so we toughed it out. This room was worse. The fridge wasn't even working and was falling apart. There was hair and mold all in the bathroom shower. One of the beds were damp. This was one of the WORST experiences we ever had. Staf was sweet though, that's the only plus side. Needless to say, I'm very disappointed and hope this gets fixed before someone else has to go through this too.
room conditions
On Saturday, 7/21/18, my husband and I arrived to check in for our 1 night stay at your hotel. Upon entry to our room I was appalled and disgusted at the conditions of the room. The room walls, furniture, pillows and linens were all infested mold and mildew. I have never been so repulsed or sickened at the conditions of this room. It was absolutely inappropriate, uninhabitable and completely unsanitary. In addition your own employee staff told another customer as I was complaining about the conditions of my room, #207, that If they had a choice they would not stay at your hotel. It has been a total of 6 days and I have yet to receive a refund back to my credit car for the room
Charge. I am requesting that these funds be returned to me no later than Monday, 7/30/18, otherwise I will escalate this matter further. In the future please check the appropriatness of your room prior to renting them out to customers. Additionally, we had to pay additional Expenses nearly twice the amount to rent another room elsewhere which would not have been necessary has your room been up to standards.
housekeeping
I stayed there for a trip on July 22- 25 i forgot 2 paiirs of shoes in the closet. A hour later i called they said tbey were going to call me if they found them. I kept calling until they told me they only found 1 pair the other pair was a brand new pair of heels. Whoever cleaned the room stoled my heels! I stayed there everytime i go to disneyland with my family because we thought it was a excelent hotel . But now we are scared because their housekeepers steal. You shoud be more careful with the personnel you have!
billing and customer service
I booked thru expedia for $161 per night plus tax came out to $541 upon check in I was told I had to pay in full which was fine with me. I was given a receipt check in July 16th three night stay check out July 19th. Upon check out I was asked if I would like a receipt I said sure and I am glad I got one because they charged me another $138 for my stay and I asked why and was told that was the remainder of what was owed for my stay and I explained I had already paid in full and showed proof of payment and my confirmation with the total price for the stay she began to argue with me about pricing so I asked for a manager she left with my receipts and confirmation from expedia of the total price and when she finally returned she said the manager said I still had to pay because thats the difference that I owed between what i already paid and what was still owed. I again tried to explain to her that they were trying to charge me for their per night price not the price offered thru expedia she again continued to argue and was so completely rude so I again asked for a manager and she left and came back and said that the manager was to busy to speak to me. The other girl at the counter that was checking in guests noticed what was happening and came over and looked at my comfirmation from expedia and my receipt from check in and said that I was 100% correct and owed a refund for $138 she explain that when I was checked in the lady refreshed the screen before locking in my price. This ordeal caused me to miss an appointment that i had reschedule for the following day and that caused me and my family another night in a hotel plus food that cost me $260 La Quinta should refund me the $260 that it cost me because of there huge mistake.
salisbury md hotel.
We had resv for this hotel made by our Softball Assoc. This hotel had a full house and over booked. We got into our room# 406 immed smelled mildew/Mold. I opened the closet doors to see mold and mildew everywhere. We complained to the front desk we were told someone would be up to clean and bleach the room while we were gone. We returned to the room still not clean. I pulled open the curtains for more light only to find more mold all over the Ac unit. Pulled out the filters dust balls flew out like it had never been cleaned. I took them into shower and cleaned my self. the spores on ac unit and in and around the unit were disgusting took pictures of all. lamp shade covered in black spot and brass lamp as well. We once again complained to the manager she said she would have a crew come as we left again to clean the room. A man showed up with a rag and spray! The doors of the closet completely covered in mildew spots and water spots on ceiling from the obvious cause water damage and not properly cut out and taken care of. This is a health hazard to all. We asked several of the staff as we noticed mold in ice machine on walls in halls and other areas what was going on in this hotel we were told by several employees that and I quote" This place needs to be shut down its nasty and they just cover it up. We asked to be compensated for it and we were not. We were charged full price at 190.00 a night and have called 2 times times for a manager and of course non avail will call back. I will be calling the Health Dept and make sure no one gets sick due to their lack care for mold from water damage and just covering it up with fresh sprayed popcorn ceilings and paint. This is completely unacceptable we took several pictures as proof and made sure the staff knew and noted all of the concerns.
room and services
I live in Georgia an I had to take my mom for surgery in Gainsville Florida. I chose to stay at the Laquinta Inn there. The service was horrible. I had blood stains on my sheets, so I asked for new sheets they said they would get house keeping to bring them up 2 hours went by still no sheets. The TV did not work, and they lock on my room door seemed to be broken, so of course I didn't feel safe. I gave a brief description in my last complaint but no one reached out to me or did anything. Being that my mom was was in pain coming out of surgery I tried to get her more pillows they said they were out. I asked to switch to another room because of the faulty lock that worked when it wanted to, and they claimed they were fully booked, so i got on my cell and call the hotel and they front desk person said that their were rooms avail. I was not satisfied at all I never thought I would see a Laquinta in this condition and so poorly ran. I called days later to see about the extra charges on my card, the guy claimed he didn't see them but when we hung up he charged my card again which caused that card to over draft. I only keep the amount necessary on my travel card to prevent scam. This hotel gets HALF STAR FROM ME.
harassment & deception
The week of July 18th, 2018, an East Indian family who owns the La Quinta Inn located at 2214 Taney St. KCMO 64116, hired a very deceptive black man named Antonio Petrie. The man lies on employees and tries to put them in areas of the hotel to work where they weren't hired. He then plays dumb saying, he din't know you weren't hired for the position. I immediately knew upon looking at Petrie that I didn't like him. I tried to avoid eye contact with him because for one, he's ugly and I sensed he had a bad personality. I will say that he sexually harasses female employees if they don't acknowledge him. He does this by "forcing conversation" upon you, when HE KNOWS you don't like him. I hope that the family and the new general manager, Jacob, finds out that Antonio Petrie is going to costs them money by being brought into court on sexual harassment charges one day. Instead of being an asset to the hotel, he will be a liability. Hilton Hotel Secrets by Donald Lee Starr is live on Itunes and Audible. It talks about how sexual harassment is rampant in the hotel industries.
