nasty service
I complained about the price I was given on the phone when I made my reservation was different than the one I had been given when I checked in, and a manager named Daniel Castillo was very nasty to me telling me I called a call center and he has no control on them, he then asked for a special Identification that shows I work for the company that gets discounts otherwise he will ride my prize, Telling me that anybody can lie to get a discount, he also told me If I didn't like it I can take my business somewhere else which I did and he also said that I had to pay all my staying in full the day of the check in . Note that I never yelled at him or disrespected him in any ways ... if he can handle an upset customer with courtesy, he shouldn't be a manager. I hope something gets done about this situation.

Hello, my son was staying at the La Quinta inn and suites in Oklahoma city quail springs location. I was paying on my behalf for my son and daughter in law because he was going to propose to her that Saturday night which I purchased and sent in my credit card authorization form to them because I was not there. He was staying there from 5/26/17-5/30/17 memorial weekend. My son name is LeThanh Thanh. Everything went fine and that Friday he checked in and it was fine that late night he wanted to make it perfect before she comes Saturday. So he asked the night lady to switch room name Candace I believe he said. She was nice enough to say she would change him from his room to the safari room with no issue since the room was a bit small and it was for a special occasion. She said he didnt have to do nothing and in the morning all he had to do was give the room key and they will switch it out for him. So next morning he did just that and he explained what happened and my son said that they were giving him a hard time about it. Then they the manager asked him where I lived he said fort sill Oklahoma and then he said then why did this fax come from the Northwest Library when it was none of his business. I faxed it from there because I had a business meeting to attend to. The manager name is Steve Thompson I believe. So he told my son to pack his stuff and leave the hotel. My son was so embarrassed and packed up and left. I am so frustrated and very very upset. The manager could've told him to fax my ID and my credit card i would understand but to go through and embarras my son like that was uncalled for. He had to go to a different hotel and switch his plans up for the proposal. I am very unsatisfied with his actions and his management. This is not the right type of customer service that LA Quinta should have. I hope there is something you can do about this or do something where Steve Thompson won't treat another customer ever ever like that again.

I had made a reservation with laquinta downtown Dallas through Priceline. My room was paid online, after traveling 5 hours I go to check in, give my license and credit card and I'm told we don't take these cards. Ok so I pull out a different one, same story with an awful attitude from manager. I explained my room is paid, my cards are good, what's the issue. I was told I couldn't check in, even though I had what was needed, and that's why he tells ppl not to make reservations with places like Priceline! The manager had no customer service skills, it was like he was intentionally being rude and enjoying it. Just wondering if it was because I'm white, my husband is black and our biracial daughter was with us? That's what I felt the reason was that we lost our $ on the room and had to go find a room elsewhere.

My name is Whitney Vance. I recently stayed at your 7115 Coastal Palms Blvd Panama City Beach location from 5/19/17-5/21/17. While my stay there was good, it was afterwards that things went downhill. I have stayed at other locations and had a great experience. In fact, I stayed at the Pier Park location in Panama City last month and have given many good reviews!
Upon review of my bill, I noticed a 20 dollar charge for blood on a towel. Yes, I was at the end of my menstrual cycle so some blood may be expected when I dry off. Also, I had a small cut from shaving that also probably contributed. I called to question the charge. 20 dollars seemed a bit steep. The first person I spoke to obviously has not been trained well in customer service and was extremely rude and told me "that's just the way it is" and "nothing can be done." So, I waited until the general manager, Kathy Barrs, was back. I explained my concerns. As a physician who works in a hospital, I find it a bit odd that towels need to be thrown away. If we had to throw out towels and linens every time they had some blood, we would be out of business. Anyway, she explained to me that there are new regulations that state a towel cannot be reused with blood on it. Ok, fair enough. But TWENTY dollars for a small towel that felt like sandpaper to my skin? I was quickly informed that the towels SHE purchases are that expensive. (Well, she is getting ripped off and should find another vendor bc those towels are not worth twenty dollars but that is beside the point.) It became VERY apparent to me that she does not know how to manage a hotel properly or work with customers. As someone who lives not too far away and will be making regular trips to the beach, I will NOT be staying here ever again. Considering, my weekend stay was 407 dollars, it will be out more than twenty dollars in the future.

I arrived at 4 am after a long drive to get a room. I was sent to several rooms. It's started in room 523, where the door wouldn't open. Room 2 was 111 where the bed was unmade like someone was occupying the room, room 3 was 412 that smelled like marijuana and the floors were extremely sticky, finally room 4 was 519 that had hairs all over the bed, black specs of dirt and crumbs, blood stains, etc. I was so exhausted I couldn't move anymore so I asked for some clean linens and ended up changing them myself. The front desk agent could even assist me because she was there by herself and couldnt leave the front. I would have left but after a long trip i was exhausted. I was told to call the next day to speak with a manager. When I called she avoided me all day. I spoke to one of the front desk agents who said it would not be likely that I got a refund. I took a minute to inform him that la quinta has a 100% customer guarantee policy or the room is on them, and I am far from satisfied. As if that was not bad enough, all the cleaning ladies were smoking and hanging out by the entrance as I was leaving so I had to walk through a puff of smoke as I was leaving. The customer service is atrocious here and so is the accommodations. I would never stay at this la quinoa ever again. This is absolutely sad because I have stayed at other locations and my service was great. I should definitely be reimbursed for the lack of professionalism, service and accommodations. This was extremely disappointing. See my photos below as I did take some photos after I realized it wasn't just one issue.

This hotel is definitely a disgustingly filthy excuse for a place for consumers to stay at.

The maids or someone smoked in the room while we were gone today. Every time the air conditioner clicks on we are greeted by a brand new waft of cigarettes. To bad that in this day and age this occurs to consumers who pay hard earned money to stay in a hotel.
We have stayed in La Quinta's in the past. But never will again.
A full two nights refund is requested, immediately.
terrible customer service the minute we walked in
My fiances father booked a night for us in Las Cruces. As soon a as we walked in we felt uncomfortable. The man at the front 'Rick' instantly had a terrible attitude toward us. He proceeded to say he could not check us in unless my financés father was there. Although, when her father called to book, he explained that this was going to be the situation. They said it was okay and it will be taken care of. Not only did Rick refuse to talk to her father while she was on the phone with him in the lobby, he was terribly rude to us. He made him call the front desk separately and continued to be rude to her father. And although the call center said it was okay for her father to pay with the credit card he gave on file Rick made us pay with our card. I am so disappointed that he wasn't even willing to work with us at all. He humiliated us in the way he was talking to us as if we were lower class citizens. We felt discrimination because he was not that way towards any of the other surrounding customers in his reaction with them. Rick was not appolagetic, and while we understand there are hotel guidelines, we expected at least a little bit of respect from the man behind the counter. We are quite upset.
being charged a cleaning fee for smoking when I didn't and did not smoke in room
I got charged cleaning fee for smoking in a room that I recently stayed in which was not smoked in I do not even smoke I called the motel several times to discuss it they would not listen to me they hung up on me told me I got what I deserved they insulted me. I even left several messages to the general manager to call me back so we could discuss the matter and she still yet has returned my calls I have continued to call La Quinta Inn and Suits and they will not listen to me they continue to hang up on me and tell me that I will not be heard and they continue to just hang up on me and talk to me very unprofessional. I do not understand why we cannot get this issue resolved I do not even smoke and I got charged for smoking in the room that is not right and unfair and now I have overdraft fees because of it. This same BS happened to me yesterday! And going to my card company was not easy and did not help.
Same thing also happened to me.. they say they have "proof" and I left cigarettes behind but I literally don't smoke and never have.
I call the hotel, they put me on hold and tell me a different person I need to speak to each time, then when I call asking for that person they say they are not here right now and send me away.
My card company was also not helpful in this scenario. I don't know what to do next.

The company claims they resolved issue.this company allows sexual herassment to go on without doing a investigation the right way.not by having a family friend investigate for them.only asked a few employees one of those employees is illegal another was never around to witness the herassment.and the other one were scared to loose there job.Never asking the victim if she had any witnesses.How can a company claim they have professional employees .when victim gos to office manager and reports incident. She fails to report it .thats another reason employees do not report anything that gos on around there. General manager doesnt care about his employees.

room stay
I called the location I was traveling to on 04/21/17 Friday at 8 a.m. to verify that, twelfth and other parties would be near each other and was told we were all set. Upon arrival to the hotel I was checked in and sent to a dirty room, then moved down stairs to a different room where I was told we would still be near each other. The other party arrived and they were placed upstairs. I was told I could move rooms if I wanted to pack up and move my items which is a huge inconvenience seeing as I was traveling with a 4 year old, so here's we are Sunday 04/23/17 getting ready to leave for an event and my son finds ants in the room, I address this with the front desk. I am told they will check it and they will call me to let me know what they do to correct this. I received no phone call. Apparently all they did was vacuum. Upon check out I address, y concerns with the manager whom seems as if he could careless as to my concerns so I call the guest complaint number, I receive a phone call and am told they can offer me a special rate next time I am in that area or reward points. First of all NO! I REFUSE TO EVER stay at this location again let alone any other location. I have filed a complaint with the bbb and will be contacting a small claims lawyer. I will get my refund one way or another

On our 4 day ($1200) stay during bike week, we had a very poor experience with the staff effecting the overall quality of our stay.
Event 1
Upon arrival, we were told the room smelled like food, no big deal. After entering the room the smell was like rotten spaghettios which was obviously vomit.
Event 2
The room did not have a remote for the T.V. and we had to request a new one which came without the cover for the battery pack.
Event 3
On the first morning my 25 year old daughter and son-in-law went into the hot tub which had 6 other people in it already. After only 10 minutes a maintenance person came by and said "sorry, 5 person limit." My daughter and son in law told them they would volunteer to leave in a few minutes after they finish their drink. They were reminded less than 2 minutes later that they had to get out very rudely by the same person. For the rest of our stay we watched at least 15 kids, underage, drinking, playing loud music, throwing garbage everywhere, all crowded in the hot tub for the entire day--literally 10 hours at a time. The same mainteneance person would show up periodically to smoke a cigarette next to them, laugh, and never mention the "5 person limit" that they had with us.
Event 4
The remote was accidentally dropped and a small piece of plastic chipped off where the missing battery cover should have been protecting. After bringing it to the front desk and explaining what happened, the girl said it wasn't a big deal and we wont be charged. The same maintenance person came by and asked what happened. His response was "oh yeah, your going to get charged, " again, extremely rude mannered. I asked how much are you going to charge? His response was $50. This is for a cheap remote that they had a bucket full of behind the desk. Also if we were given one with a battery cover it would not have been broken. After arguing over the remote, we were promised to have no charges and he fished a remote out of the bucket with tape all over the back holding the batteries in. And then he said "try not to drop this one."
Because of this single maintenance person, we will not be returning to another LaQuinta resort ever again. We come to bike week every year and have had great experiences in the past and your establishment would have been our choice for future events. We have lots of friends that come with us and we would have recommended you. To show you the math of what this person has costed you, for the next 10 years, $12, 000 from myself alone, the amount of people in my group would equal that amount times 10, on top of anyone else that I warn about staying at La Quinta.

I stay there friday the 12th omg I so was not prepared for the crappy room had no hot water the heat barly worked only way to stay warm is to sit in front of not how I planned spending Friday night money you guys charge for the rooms every thing should work so my rating at this time will half to be a 3 out of 10 so I think there should be some type of compa on my next visit.

I am with the Railroad and several of us for the second week have had issues with our reservations. It may be all new personnel, but they don't seem to be trained properly. These woman have attitudes and then seems like they are flirting with you. Never before had I dealt with an awkward situation checking in. This week I checked in on Sunday the 8th of January by whom would be the new manager as she stated. Reached out her hand to welcome me back and the way she did it did not feel right. That's not what a front desk welcome is. We workers are married with families and want none of these awkward situations to continue. We feel this hotel has lost it's cheerfulness and stability it once had.
This particular location says they offer free WiFi, but you aren't able to be on it but for 5 maybe 10 minutes and you have to, restart the device you are using to get it back connected, you can't just reconnect and it won't stay connected
Tv didnt work, breakfast was cold. Couldnt get a copy of our bill because the girl at desk said printer was out of ink. She was 12 or 14 yrs old. THis was in Mt Pleasant, Tx on may 13.
Sexual harassment
My name is angelina godinez I was sexual harassed at work by the mantiance manger miguel islas. He would say sexual coments he would back me in a corner try to massage my shoulders. I went to my office manager jessica alfaro in october she never reported it to anyone. I have several witnesses. I was recently terminated in dec for calling in twice in one month I gave a doctors notes for one of those days. General manager said that was excessive, he also said I need to call in 4 hours before my shift. I called in 3 hours before my shift my shift starts at 8;30. No where does it say in our handbook does it say to call in 4 hours before your shift. There are several employees call in 1 hour before there shift and nothing never done. Itold general manager there illegal imigrant working there. Her name alma jeminez she uses her sisters name. This is the second time this company had this issue.
Its been three months since I discussed with office manager.no action has been taken. they wont give me cooperates number.
fraudulent charges to personal credit card
Checked in 04/18/16 to 04/29/16 It was made very clear that my company credit card would be charged amount of stay and it was, TOTAL AMOUT! Then this hotel has the aldasaety to charge my personal credit card for another room on another floor. I want to strangle somebody! Spent the biggest part of my day trying to make contact with the hotel managemnt to credit my personal credit card, talk about a bunch of IDOTS. SOOOOOOOO the next best thing is the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU.
I will NEVER stay at this location and OR any of their other hotel chains, WAY TO GO LA QUINTA AND I WANT MY 532.30 CREDITED TO MY CREDIT CARD.

I wasted by day speaking to the store and the corporate office. The company would not honor a defective tire credit even though the tires are less than 3 years old. Do not buy from big o tires they are a ripe off...

Family and I stayed and I paid in cash then was told if I had a debit card n it also was charged, ..mentioned will reimburse bill within 14 days n I'm still waiting...very disappointed with the billing dep.! Be aware folks! I heard others were also charged n never got reimbursed! Not ever will I go there again, spreading my experience to all!BE AWARE!

after staying at this hotel 4 times in jan to march..each time it was either NO heat or the heating system sounded like a airplane crashing...and toe nails in the bed..also the food server was chewing her nails while serving breakfast.. hasd to change room in the middle of the night do to heating system going crazy and noise from hell..than in the room next door..NO tv, at all and i complained each time and NO discount at all for the first two times and than the last two times they charged 118.99 and took off 55.38 hello NO sleep the last time on march 7th 2015. and i complained to La Quinta home office to getr no help at all... this place is only 3 years old...but terrible up keep... the only bright spot was the night clerk and the security guard who was a marine like my self...the owner assured me he would make this right ..but have NEVER heard from him since a left on march 7th...beware do not stay at this hotel..it is the hotel from HELL.

I have worked motel desk. There is a common problem that teens want to experiment with sex and drugs, so they get the oldest of the group or perhaps an older brother to rent a room for them. Often, the persons actually using the room are 14, 15, 16. Later, the parents want to sue the hotel for allowing minors to party there. Renting to teens without their parents present is big trouble, and there is no way to collect damages to the property from teenagers. You know your daughter and her friends, I don't. You will find she may have difficulty renting a car or apartment, or getting a loan or credit card, too. When you write to corporate, they send your complaint directly to the manager/owner of the motel. If the clerk is following the policy of that motel, there isn't anything more to say.
