Lab technician
A Read, in the New Hartford, NY, LabCorp building was on duty this am; 2-23-23 at 730 am. She was rude. From the moment I stepped foot in her area, to the moment she passed me off to another technician. Music was too loud, her eye contact was zero, her demeanor was grumpy. I have made two trips there, due to the Dr. faxing my orders and not handing them to me. I had them in a copy in an email from my doctor showing me they sent the script. Last time, I just left, this time I tried to share this script from my Dr and get my bloodwork done. This tech gave me her email, quickly and did not clarify reed or read. I sent to [protected]@labcorp.com and then said that she is not supposed to give me that email address! After I spoke up and said you do not have any reason to be mean, or mad at me. Then I told her she was making me upset. She "passed me off" having another tech come over. I was escorted to the other side of the room, to the other tech and she was kind, apologetic, & patient! She also gave me a written email: [protected]@labcorp.com. This worked out great. Bad news was due to the first girl I was late for work.
Poor timing. I have a 36 year old niece dying in the hospital and this girl cannot even look at me when speaking to me, about my script. This girl is out of touch with the real world! I have been coming to this location for over 35 years! Thank God the other tech, wish I got her name, was working today!
Desired outcome: I would like an apology.
Staff shortage
I recently went to your lab corp office located in deltona florida, and was amazed to find one person in the building. She was responsible for manning the front desk, checking in patients ,doing blood draws in short she was responsible for everything in the office. Do you guys realize it’s 1 person in the office, and it’s a female. What happens if a psycho comes in @ 0630 raoes and kills her because the company is only looking at the bottom line. Lab corps should be ashamed for the way she is being treated and shoul immediately hire some else to help this young lady with the daily work. What happens if there is an emergency and she can’t get to a phone?
Use an appointment system and stop treating patients like cattle packed in a trailer!

Today 27jan23 at 0930 I had a scheduled appointment at your Port Orange Florida location. I was on time and was waiting in your Lobby talking to a woman sitting next to me about about the growth issues and influx of mellenials that are moving here. I was telling her about being told by a mellenial how they are going to push the babyboomers out and they were gonna take over. I was saying alot are being called back to the office and are not happy. Soon after a young lady walked in and said I bet out of town mellenial, nothing hateful at all
All of a sudden a woman sitting on the other side of the room with a face mask on started yelling at me because she didn't like what I was saying. I politely told her to mind her business or get ear plugs. She again started screaming at me because I picked up my phone and was going to play solitare she was saying I better not be recording her. I wasn't. But before I could even turn on the phone your representive from that office came out of her office and told me to leave and go to another labcorp office. No explantion given. why! As I was leaving the the office said to you office person that I was extremely hungry and again that woman started screaming at me and I told her to shut up and as I didn't want to escalate and left this incident any further 1. I was not the one who opened dialog with this woman.
2. I was asked to leave the premises by your office personnel and was told to find another Labcorp office. No reason given.
3. Why wasn't the patient yelling and with a child asked to leave since she precipitated this event?
4. I would like to escalate this about your office personnels behavior to her Superiors.
I would like to know am I banned from returning to this office permanetly?
Desired outcome: I would appreciate a response and what actions are you taking with your employee who asked me to leave.I would like an apology.
Blood draw
I have called labCorp twice after this incident and no one has gotten back to me. I had my blood drawn December 12 as I was leaving my blood started spurting out of my arm all over my purse and in my purse all over my dress, and on my leg, someone n the waiting area was screaming help help. I was spurting blood. My purse is ruined. My coin purse, wallet and dress was ruined. When I left and started driving in my car, it started again. My arm was throbbing in pain until 4 AM. that night. I think they hit an artery. I have visibly lost muscle tone from the elbow up on the arm since and no one has returned my serious call!
Desired outcome: Replace my purse, wallet, my coin purse and my dress and apologize.
I keep receiving someone else's delinquent notice that is attached to my email incorrectly.

Very bad blood drawing skills, and very careless work attitude. The nurse cannot find my vessel and inject the needle to my arm for a couple of times. It really hurts. The worse thing is after that they lost my blood sample! And i need to do the test again! ! It's totally a waste of my time and blood. It broke my heart. Also, the staff at the front desk always asked me to wait, she even did not see my information. I think the staff working in labcorp need to be significantly retained, especially the technical skills and spirits. It seems to me that anyone can do blood test work!

Bad Service
I went to Walgreen (LabCorp) @511 W Williams St, Apex, NC 27502 for lab tests. I gave her the sheet of tests and she said to get the codes for each test. It took almost my half day getting what she wanted when her job is to look for the codes for each test and not send me looking for them. Then I went to another LabCorp (530 New Waverly Pl Ste 306, Cary, NC 27518) with the codes and told the lab tech that my veins are difficult and to take blood from the places usually it gets easy. She wouldn't listen and have bruises everywhere in my hand. I know my body and they should respect that and listen. At the end she got the blood from where I was telling her but was doing it so badly that hurt me. Very bad experience in both LabCorp's-Horrible service. We are paying for these services, please give your customer some respect and listen when they tell you about their body.
BNP blood test not processed by your Lab x 2
I am roberta ashenfarb [protected]) and my father, lawrence ashenfarb is homebound and had his blood taken for various tests including bnp twice (12/6/22 and 12/20/22) by a tech from the national phlebotomy provider network. We (me/dad) live in brooklyn, ny and both times the lab did not have results for this very important heart enzyme test. The reason labcorp rep. Gave me was that the tech did not prepare the specimen properly, which I know she did... Twice... And the rep. Stated that the "blood goes out to nj for results". This bnp test needs to be performed with a centrifuge, etc. Within a time frame of taking the specimen. The tech brought it directly to labcorp which is located on bay parkway in brooklyn, ny. I took time off twice to have the labs drawn only to find out that the test was not performed...2x. This is unacceptable. My dad is unable to go into the hospital to have this done and I know the tech, who came both times, did the right thing when she delivered it to labcorp for processing. She provided two tubes of blood the second time in hoping that your company will process the bnp properly. I want to know why your lab cannot process this test properly as i'm sure there are many other elderly clients who also need their bnp results. I'm very disappointed in your company since I had to take time off from work only to have no results to discuss with his md.
Desired outcome: LABCORP to take responsibility as to why this BNP test was NOT PROCESSED TWICE when the Tech DID provide the sample in a correct manner....LABCORP apparently DID NOT process this particular sample as it needed to be done correctly.

On December’s 20, 2022 my 7yr old daughter has started having stomach issues and the doctor has requested a lot of lab tests done. The Labcorp on Whitney ranch and sunset is the closest to my house. (NV)
Brianna an employee At Labcorp both times we have gone in, she has been over the top rude. Any simple question I had in regards to what this was for she would cut me off and say “idk ask your doctor” or “idk I’m not here to answer questions”. She gave my daughter a drink without any sort of communication. My 7yr old is scared in the first place for all this being new and traumatizing to a child. She never said that if she didn’t drink the liquid in under 5 min she would fail the test. She was extremely rude giving her the death stare because my child couldn’t finish the last bit. She was very upset to modify the lab order and she made sure to let us know that she was upset. I don’t have insurance for my daughter so I am paying cash for all these tests. This lady is working in the wrong field. She needs to have more professionalism and basic courtesy manners. People are going to Labcorp for health related procedures and Brianna needs to have better customer service and basic manners. If she’s miserable working there then maybe she should find another job. Don’t take it out on us, especially children.
Desired outcome: Someone needs to hold her accountable for her actions. My child was not the only one being treated that way. She was rude to elderly people as well. It is not okay!

Glitch in computer cancelled my 24hr Urine test so lab corp told Dr. I didn't give a large enough sample. 12/2 I turned over 1500 ml of urine collected over 24 hours. They at first told the Doctors office the order had been cancelled and then they wrote on the report to the Doctor that they had told me I did not provide a large enough sample.
When I dropped off my jug when getting a fasting blood draw they had a problem with the computer freezing in the program so the tech went to use another computer to print out the labels. Someone could have made a mistake but Lab Corp chose to make false statements about me not having a large enough sample.
I want to alert the public to their covering up what could have been a simple fix (me providing another sample) but they chose to go down a different path and lie about what really happened.
Desired outcome: I want the individuals at that labcorp office on Wheeler Road in Augusta to all be notified of the error and that false statements are not how to handle errors. The reputation of a lab is paramount to being in business.
"lost" my urine
I went to a Labcorps in Seattle, WA (1101 Madison St). After peeing in the cup, the employee asked me to sign a nearly blank piece of paper. She said the printer was running out of ink but that it would be fine that you could barely see ANYTHING on the printed forms. 2 weeks later, we find out that my urine was "lost". This is not the first mishap I've had with labcorps.
Desired outcome: I would like an apology, I would like the employee that was there to be trained better - she was clearly new. I would like the issue to be resolved so that I don't have to go take another drug screen.
Again cutting corners by not having ink in the printer. Cutting corners is not acceptable at a lab where their reputation is what keeps them in business. It is a trickle down where management doesn't supply the office with what is needed to do their job successfully.
Lab test results
My fertility doctor told me to get Stat lab work done to check my numbers on Friday 12/2. So when I got to labcorp at the walgreens here in Islandia, long Island, the person who drew my blood was very nice but was not trained well enough in my opinion. And why do I feel this way? Because after 2 hours later, she called me back telling me she didn't take enough blood from me because one test couldn't be done as "stat". So she asked me to come back in but I just told her that I'll have the obgyn doctor draw it for me since I was going there for an ultrasound anyway. So then later on Friday I got a call from my fertility clinic saying "oh congrats, you're pregnant, your bloodwork shows it". Then 2 hours later, I get a call from them again saying "oh no youre not pregnant, I'm so sorry, the lab sent over a correct test for your hcg but they didn't report any of your other numbers for your estrogen or anything else that we requested. So we aren't sure when we can start you on your fertility medications so we will wait until tomorrow or Monday to see if your tests come back". Saturday passed and Monday passed and still no other results came through. So my fertility clinic calls me asking me to repeat bloodwork. So I went in yesterday morning at 945 to a different labcorp. Right now, my Stat labs from yesterday still haven't come back so I have no idea what to do about taking my medications or not. So I got no lab results from Friday or from yesterday back yet. I'm just extremely frustrated.
Desired outcome: An apology for some mental trauma to me would be a start but ultimately I want my lab work back in a timely fashion and to not report false positive pregnancy tests to people who have been trying to conceive for over 2 years.
Recent labwork
I was at Chattanooga Tn Erlanger Labcorp on 11-23-22 to have labs done for Dr. Parsa. After sitting in a chair; I mentioned 3 things after offering up both arms. I said my veins move, a butterfly works better and no “fishing”! Nurse #1 then grabs a decent gauge needle/ sticks my right arm at the crease. Draws 1 1/2 vials then my blood just stops. She begans to FISH …. turns the needle all over the place and in/ out. I had also told her after no fishing/ to stick me however many times as needed just no fishing. My arm started severely burned/ stinging. I ask her to remove it. She finally did, grabs a gauze, then wraps me as tight as I have EVER been wrapped. Says she’s going to have to stick me again. I repeated no fishing and butterflies seemed to work better. She used the same gauge needle on my left arm. Absolutely no blood flow! Started fishing. My arm started burning at the site and up my arm. After requesting her remove it multiple times/ I was just about to push her arm away. At 69 yrs age/ I’ve never ever experienced anyone that didn’t listen like this tech nor the pain I’ve felt and continue to have. I’m still feeling nerve pain in both arms. Didn’t have any before this draw. She called # 2 over…. she ask if I had any restrictions/ I told her the 3 above. She used a butterfly, went right in above the crease and filled the remaining 2 vials. She did tell me that I would have a bruise. I not only bruised but had a knot but she did excellent drawing but not the first female. I just noticed on my results that part of my tests weren’t completely because of the lack of blood drawn? I am attaching at least 1 picture of my right arm. I was shocked that my left didn’t bruise with all the fishing done that day. I truly wonder if she knows what that feels like. It hurts. But now my concern is what’s going on with the nerves in each arm caused by nurse/ tech #1? I have allergy shots each month and have for at least 20 years/ needles have never bothered me but that fishing does. No one needs to be working at Labcorp that doesn’t know how to draw blood. Honestly I felt like she must have had a bad day, didn’t like what I said, so “socked it” to me. That’s how I felt! I expect some answers from this. Sincerely Bette R Rogers
Desired outcome: This employee needs to be fired or go thru new training. I am concerned about the feelings I’ve experienced in my arms since her fishing expedition.
I will add: after completing my registration I heard the front desk clerk hollar back to the techs; she had a “fresh live one”…..she needs proper training too! Totally unacceptable! No professionalism!
I’ve never had issues with Labcorp before but this one employee should not be drawing blood

If LABCORP hadn't made error twice I probably would not write this. 1ST visit 10/07/2022 BAUGMANS LN, FREDERICK MD. I had an appt at 3.45pm. I was there just after 3.30pm. I check in and was called to front desk.Order could not be located. I explained dr conf it was received 4 days ago. She had me call the DR on a Friday, it took 10 minutes to get her the information, which she found as soon as I gave her the rec #. She said i had to wait, (missed my appt?) While i was waiting, the line was backed up to see front desk. Forgot to mention that she was on a personal call for over 30 minutes about her Mammogram. Long story short, I was seen after 4.15pm. 2nd time I had to visit LAB CORP was 10/31/2022 for additional food test panel ,that I had already paid for $300. This time I visited SOLOREX CT location. First, was told could not find my lab order and I owed $? Told her to check again. 11/7-Got lab work results back, WRONG LABWORK -totally ignored the 2ND order and used the first lab slip. This is SCARY. so now I have to drive all the way to Columbia MD to have it redone. WILL NEVER GO TO LABCORP AGAIN.
Desired outcome: The sites has to be audited. How can the wrong lab slip be used? 2nd, they need costumer service training. I will never go back. Felt like a DMV office - If there is any charges to my account by LABCORP, I want refunded asap.
Taking the wrong blood
[protected] 9:30 I had to get my blood drawn on this morning so I headed to the lab corp in mooresville nc across from lake norman regional medical center. I went in and checked in at the machine and she called me up to the desk to only say that she had a order for may. My doctor said they sent the order in last week. So I got my blood drawn and when I looked at my results this morning it was the wrong test. They checked me for my iron. My iron is fine. They were suppose to be checking for my cholesterol. I have very high cholesterol. It needed to be checked because I have appointments with my doctor next week to see how its doing.
Desired outcome: They were also very rude to the patients especially the older patients who did not understand how things worked.
Facility cleanliness
Your Richardson office is filthy filthy! I could write my name on the tables in dust on the doors in the exam rooms you could tell that things have been spilled and liquids leaked down the woodwork doors. Bottom of seating and armrests are unbelievably dirty / I hope this place is shut down. Pictures on walls are Grungy and soiled I will be turning this office in to the proper authorities
Desired outcome: Clean the damn place
When I have my doctor's fax over my blood order every time I go to LabCorp they cannot find it.
I have my blood taken once every two weeks. All the faxes from my doctor go to LabCorp for at least 4 to 6 testing days and they seem to always lose it. I have called left a message the past two three months and no one is able to get back to me. I just need to know if they got the fax cuz I'm not wasting my gas to drive all the way there if no one has any answers. Why don't they return calls after I leave a message.
Charges that are not authorized
I am a 70 year old female that is on Medicare. Hence, Medicare only pays for a pap smear every two years. I have had abnormalities in the past, and this past summer, I had yet another minor abnormality. When my gynecologist sent the pap into Labcorp, they ran an HPV test automatically because of the slight abnormality. This HPV test was neither approved by me or my doctor ... even though the "on hold" announcement with Labcorp says that they only do what is approved. Medicare did not pay for the HPV test because my appointment was for a regular checkup. Now I am billed $204.00 for a test that I did not want nor need. They did make the adjustment ... this time ... as stated by Labcorp, but how do I just get a pap smear done without this HPV testing? I think this is taking advantage of the elderly and tests should not be performed with permission. Labcorp says it's their procedure and I believe they should change that.
Desired outcome: Please change Labcorp procedures so they only run the tests that are requested.
horrible in office service
I have called the Sicklerville, NJ location several times, and I keep getting sent to the voicemail but no one calls me back. I can hear a person picking up and pressing a button and I get sent right to voicemail. This is so sad especially if someone needs help because they have a disability this is not right. The huge problem is, is that no one regulates these offices and makes sure that they are doing what they are supposed to do and they can keep treating people with such disrespect and disdain. If you don't have great insurance your stuck with lab Corp and it's a shame and if there is a corporate owner or someone in charge you should be doing something about this.
Desired outcome: For people to answer the phone if you're short handed then tell a supervisor, go above supervisor someone should be answering the phone for people who need help.
