terrible service from manager
I had placed an order for a freezer on November 6, 2018. I called back the week of November 19th and after a few calls back and forth I was told that it would be in by Friday, November 30 and that it usually takes a day later to deliver. I called back on the Tuesday December 4th at 1pm...spoke to one lady who told me she would call me back. I called back at 4:15pm to find out what is happening to get another lady (who by the way told me the shipment was going to be in November 30th) proceed to put me on hold only to pass me to the manager of the store. I explained the whole thing and he becomes defensive and rude. Tells me if I'm ready to cancel my order he would, without even looking into the situation he was ready for me to cancel my order. What manager does that? Anyways, he proceeds to be very rude telling me he that he deals with all these situations and I ask why he hadn't heard of mine and he replied quote " Well I was on lunch"... it was now 4:30pm...how long was your lunch hour. Also, who answers that to a paying customer (Oh yah they already billed me for this at the beginning of the month). Then he proceeds to tell me he is going to look into it and call me back shortly. By now I have spoken to 3 people and still no one can tell me about my order. Of course he doesn't call back shortly. I called back at 4:55pm only to be told that he conveniently has stepped out and that she will give him the message to call me back asap. Well, it was now 6pm and no call back. I then called back and just asked to cancel my order. At this point I didn't care anymore where my order was, I just wanted my money back. PS. Same night I placed an order elsewhere and was confirmed delivery in 4 days.
I don't know if this will mean anything to anyone, but the so called manager you have representing Leon's in Cornwall, well lets just say he is no manager.

We were looking to purchase a upright freezer as soon as possible. On Saturday, November 24th we went to Leon's in Orangeville to see if they have one on display. The model we were interested in was not on the floor but the salesman showed it to us online. We agreed to buy it and the told us that it would be delivered to us on the following Friday. We agreed and payed for it and went home with the receipt.
On Friday, nobody contacted us about the freezer because we were waiting home for the delivery. We looked at the receipt for a number to inquire about the delivery and noticed that the salesman set the delivery date to be on December 7th, 2018. That was in 2 weeks from our purchase date. He told us a lie and we need the freezer sooner. We would have never bought the freezer at that store if we knew that we need to wait that long. We specifically told him that we needed the freezer as soon as possible.
We called him and were told that he would call us back to discuss what we can do about the situation but he never did.
Terrible service and I will never shop there again! No respect for the customer. They just care for their commission !
couch and loveseat
I purchased a couch and love seat seat from your company on August 19 2018. With in the first month the back of the couch broke. I called set up to have tech come out.
There were no clear expectations on how long I would have to wait or what was expected. I called the Store in late October a little frustrated because the repair was taking a long time with no communication. When I call Melissa informed me it could take up to 6 weeks to get parts, I was told this in mid November.
I called again to follow up because the six weeks had passed and I was informed I would not have a resolution until mid-December. I advised Melissa that this was not acceptable and to return the couch and love seat as it seems nobody is even acknowledging I have a broken living room set. Melissa then advised me she would have to speak with someone.
I was offered to pick out another couch set but no other sets are like the one I purchased, we specifically chose the set we did because it fully reclined. Melissa said she would have to speak again with the manager and she would call me back that was on November 16th. I had no response so I followed up again on November 21st . Melissa told me that they were able to locate a replacement couch but it was in Thunder Bay and it was heading to Scarborough. Melissa said that she would contact me by end of week to set up delivery arrangements. I did not receive a call. I had to follow up yet another time on November 26 only to be told that the couch is still sitting in Scarborough. I asked when it's approximate delivery date and I was informed at least another a couple of more weeks.
I went into the store on November 26th to see if there was another resolution that could be mutually agreed upon. Was told that she would have to speak with her manager and that she would get back to me in a few days. I followed up with Brtandon Store manager on 11/29/2018. He advised me that they will take the items back with a 20% restocking fee?

Please Help!
I am so disappointed and upset about my last purchase at the Brick. On November 4, I purchased an electric stove in Sault Ste. Marie, ON. (Document # 11048FAMVJP LUXTR94ZZ7, Item Code- YACR450W). It turned out that I didn't need the stove and that there was nothing wrong with my other stove. I jumped the gun and purchased a stove that I didn't even need. When my husband and I tried to return it the NEXT day, they told us that once we picked up the stove and put it on our truck, there was no return. We just couldn't believe it. We never even plugged it in or used it. We left there in complete SHOCK thinking there was nothing we could do about it. So now, I have a brand new stove that I don't even need.
We have been a loyal customers to the Brick and Leon's for years. Not once have we ever received this kind of service. Had I known that this was your policy, I NEVER would have purchased it. Is there some way that you can make this right? We would be willing to trade the stove for a new dining table. Now that's something we could use.
If something is not done to make this right again, we will NEVER make another purchase from the Brick or Leon's again, and we'll tell everyone we know about the service we received and how you treat LOYAL customers.
So disappointed,

Was contacted by Leons that they would be delivering my appliances between 1 and 4 pm on Sat Nov 10, 2018. I was supposed to work that Sat. but drove down from Edmonton ( where I work) to Okotoks (where my wife and I live) to be there for the delivery ( my wife cannot lift a fridge, sorry Leons ). I waited for the delivery until 6:30 pm. I started calling Leons at 5 pm to ask where the delivery was? The delivery department could not answer that question, but told me they would call the driver and find out, and that they would have the driver phone me. At 5:30 pm, I started calling every 5 minutes until 6:00 pm but nobody would answer the phone. There was no phone call from the driver or the store by 6:00 pm (they then closed) and I was left wondering where my appliances were. I left several voicemails also on their phone system, but no reply came from that. I contacted them again Sunday morning ( surprise they actually answered) and was transferred to a manager. He promptly told me that my appliances were back in the warehouse and that the delivery team claimed nobody was home at time of delivery. That was impossible I replied as delivery time was supposed to be between 1 and 4 pm and I had waited around until 6:30. I also promptly told him that I had drove down from Edmonton specifically for this delivery, and that I was now out of pocket $150 for fuel and that my wife and I had had to cancel a dinner date because we had been expecting this delivery. He replied that he would see what he could do and that he would call back at 1:00 pm. I had to call him back at 1:20 because like usual, they didn't return the call. He then started giggling as though this were all a big joke and told me that the best he could do was a Monday delivery ( after telling me earlier that the manager was out doing deliveries today because someone was sick...like I care right now). I also informed him that Sat was the only day Leons did Okotoks deliveries, so why had that order not been first off the truck and then the city deliveries done? He had no response. I then informed him that they had until 3pm today to do this delivery. He went up the chain to the store manager, who called me, and after listening to him for 20 min ranting about how they would give me a $100 store credit for my problems, and that they would deliver the products tomorrow, I hung up.

On August 9, 2018 I purchased and Paid in Full for a Tessaro Sofa which was on sale.
No real mention of the delivery time was made to me but I am still waiting for the sofa as of November 16, 2018. Now I don't mind the time although three months with no expected delivery time seems unreasonable. Now in today's Leon's flyer the very same sofa is advertised. I called and they didn't know the delivery time and called Head Office and they wouldn't help. So in sum up unless you are prepared to wait a Long time for delivery don't buy anything at Leon's.

In July we purchased five appliances and a bed from Leon's in Cornwall Ontario.
At time of ordering I told the sales rep that I wanted a self cleaning gas range, I trusted that he knew the product so I did not question him and when it arrived I seen a button on the front panel of the stove that said steam clean, I did not question as I thought it was a new way of cleaning the oven, I have had the stove since July and on Monday of this week I decided to give the oven a cleaning in the bottom of the stove it said to add one cup of water which I did then proceeded to press the steam clean button and it came up with 30 minutes which I thought was strange as the last self cleaning range we had took three hours so after the thirty minutes I opened the stove to a still dirty oven so I called G.E. which is the product manufacturer and once I gave my model number she told me that I did not have a self cleaning oven that this was just a brief steam clean and I should contact the place that I purchased it. Well after three phone calls Leon's in Cornwall told me their was nothing they could do because I have had the stove since July so more or less tough as they won't take it back even through it was their mistake I would be willing to pay the difference between a self cleaning and the stove I purchased however they are not willing to do anything for me, I am very frustrated and will never deal with Leon's anywhere again if this is how you treat your customers.
receiving a couch set that is garbage
on September 21 i bought couch set from leons, the moment it was delivered and i sat on it their was rip in the couch, i then inspected couch to fin zipper riped and stuffing falling out, foot rests didn't have material on it, wholes in the wood, material not stapled where is should, the whole underside of couch was not done. all for them to say they wont give me my money back but said i could pick something different.. if i wanted something different thats what i would have bought id rather take my 4000 $ else where.. And their customer service when i brought issue to them were noting but rude !
Buyer beware... Don't not pay in full for your items as you well receive a damaged product and they well not give you your money back. ... Let me tell you a bit of my story that I've been fighting with leons for the last couple weeks about
So I've been saving up for a year to buy sonething that I really wanted(I have bad OCD and my last couch that I had a year was starting to fray ) so I decided to buy a couch. It took me a few months to finally decide on the perfect couch.. When I did I played 4000 cash at time of purchase.. When I finally got the couch delivered I sat down (in excitement to try the new couch out ) to find a rip down the arm of the couch, so me being me very politely call leons to let them know about the rip they told me they can patch it( really who wants their couch patched when its bran new) so I had to grab them the serial # off bottom well when I turned couch over I then find stuffing from the couch falling out pieces missing out of bords, cushions not covered, staples where ever they randomly feel, wood pieces coming up from cup holders, meterieal not on bottom of foot rest (so when you put feet up you see wood) ( it just not properly put together. So I call them back with pictures and tell them. And at this point I'm pissed off and don't want my item fixed it's unfixable, so as I'm waiting for them to call me back I'm cleaning my house in Fustration to find the couch cushion stuffing on the floor so I open back of couch and the zipper is broken and stuffing is pussing out. At this point I'm so mad and watch this couch out of my place and my money back..
Well guess what they refuse to give my money back but tell me
1 . someone can cone fix it
2. They changed give me a instore credit
3. I can pick a difrent couch.
I dont want a couch from their as their products are not put together, and if I wanted a difrent couch that is what I would have choice from beginning ..
So they go on to tell me I have to spend the same on next couch or remainder well be store credit. Well I payed in cash how can they hold my money from me and sell my junk.

refrigerator
I purchased a full suite of brand new Whirlpool appliances for my new home. I never saw the appliances offloaded from the Leon's delivery truck. The doors had to be removed to be brought into my home. When the crew put them back on, doors were uneven. A Leon's technician came to fix but could not. Another technician came to fix but could not. From the date of delivery (Sept 27) to today, the fridge sits crooked and doors dont close without pushing hard. There is apparently another service call in queue but I BEG YOU... PLEASE REPLACE MY FRIDGE! I spent a load of money at your Trenton store - I furnished my entire home there. I'm simply asking you to replace it. My friends bought the very same fridge from another store and it's perfect! PLEASE HELP ME!

Unable to use the couch as I get a sore neck when sitting on it. I would like to exchange it. I talked to the manager in Leon's and he would not even try to help me, in fact he was rude, no customer service from him. I will never buy a Leon's product again. They have a 50 percent restocking fee. You are unable to try a product out to see if it suits you. How would you try it out if you get to sit on it in the store for 10 minutes. Then you take it home and sit for a length of time, then my neck hurts
delivery of all appliances
I ordered by Appliances 4 weeks ago and scheduled the delivery for Oct 28, 2018. Last week, I received a phone call from leons that that particular day delivery schedule is not in my area, plus one of the appliance is expected to arrive by Oct 31, 2018. I then scheduled the delivery for Nov 02, 2018. Today I received the delivery and guess what washer is missing and after escalating the matter, I was told that this is very common leon's practise. after I spoke with Sales associate I was told that internally matter have been escalated and Leons general manager is trying to reach manufacturer to know when the washer will arrive in Canada. after follow up call I was told that washer will come on Nov 12, 2018. Leons Sales associate was speechless when I asked how will I manage without washer. I highly recommend to family and friends, Please don't waste your money, time and energy to shop from Leons.

I recently ordered a 2-piece Danielle sectional on-line at the advertised price of $1299.00. I have been contacted by the local store and was informed they would not honour the on-line price as it is a glitch in the system. There was no disclaimer on-line saying there could be price discrepancies. (I was informed there was a notice on the door of the local store). Due to the increase in price I have had to cancel my order. Very disappointed and feel like it was false advertising.

Purchased in Abbotsford Sumas Leons. Mike salesperson guaranteed it was a popular set and that they guaranteed it. I purchased the extended warranty protection on it as well. Delivered in March this year and we were out of the country until August so no-one sat on it. It's like a piece of crap as wrinkled up so bad and looks old! Phoned the store and sent photos and no-one is taking responsibility for it and advising me that they no longer carry that line. They inform me that natural leather does tend to wrinkle which may be so but not after 4 months! This is crap and I want it out of my house and full refund. There were holes in the bottom that the medic had to repair and they forgot to send me the battery pack which I had to run all over and pick up myself. I purchased an electric fireplace which had to be sent back as damaged. Table and chairs that are all scratched up. I want this suite gone and the Abbotsford store are not taking responsibility for it. I'm prepared to go to better business with this and social media as really fed up with being taking advantage off.

Purchased this very expensive coffee table recently in September. about a month later this table has stains on them left by a glass. a coffee table is meant to put a cup of coffee or glass of juice. how can it stain the top. i emailed customer service and their manufacturer is saying that liquid being left is not covered under warranty. why would liquid be left! clearly in the picture you can see its a stain of a bottom of glass. a $500 coffee table damage in a months time and no one is willing to take responsibility of this. extremely disappointed. this should be replaced.
very rude customer service.. never buying again from them
I had got my leather sofa sets from leon's & the salesman insisted on getting a extended warranty saying it will cover all the rips/damages for next 5 years. Now when I called in, the lady in customer service department was so so rude as if she had to fix it for free or something. Finally she gave me a insurance company's number to contact for the rips I had on sofa.
After calling them I get to know they cover only 1 damage that's accidental and that to only on the seat... I was so mad...

company does not deliver on promise
We moved to Bridgewater, NS at the end of July 2018 and chose to purchase a couple of couches that were in the sales flyer at Leon's (SKU23017010 CIARA SOFA). When we arrived on the second day of the sale (August 5, 2018)we were advised that they never got any stock of the couches we wanted. I used to work in retail for a large chain department store so I am familiar that Ontario based businesses will often put on a sale without ever sending stock which does nothing but annoy the customer and the salesperson is left trying to explain where the product is. The salesperson assured us that the couches would be in within 4 to 6 weeks so we decided to order anyway. When we went back on Sept 24, 2018 were were told they would be in within 10 business days, on Oct 10, 2018, we were to it would be delivered the following Wednesday Oct 17, 2018. On Oct 17, 2018 we were told it would be another week at least and they could not confirm that it would be here even then. That is almost 2.5 months of waiting. We finally went to a different store and paid an additional $400 and got a couch and chair and it was delivered the next day. We were intending on buying some appliances but we will now look elsewhere.
We do not fault the store for this, because as I mentioned before this lost leader approach is quite common and merely leaves the customer angry and the salesperson without support and trying to apologize. By the way the department store chain I used to work for was SEARS CANADA, look how it turned out for them.

Ordered a set of floor lamps. Was told they are in Toronto so would be shipped to Bridgewater store in next 2-4 weeks when they had a "full" truck. 7 weeks went by. I called. They weren't sure what the problem was so had to look into it. Heard back 4 days later, lamps are now on back order and won't be available until November 10th. Why did they tell me they were in Toronto and would take 2-4 weeks. I feel lied to and very frustrated from previous issues with my last purchase from Leon's

I am writing this complaint about the Welland, Ontario store.
I had gone in to this store to look at living room furniture.
I decided to go with a sofa and matching loveseat that I would later switch to the oversized chair, and a bunk bed set for my children.
I had paid a deposit, saidnI would come in in the next day or so to pay the remainder which I did. Total was $2577
I was told as I live in the next town over that delivery wouldn't be until the following two Thursday, as delivery to my town is thursdays only.
Which afterpaying cash is a wait. All items I was told were in stock.
I was called a few days before and told that the delivery drivers would call and there would be a 4 hour span of delivery, on the delivery day of Thursday Oct, 11, I asked them to delivery early as I was going out of town for a few days in the afternoon.
This is already 2 plus weeks from my purchase.
The day of delivery and nothing.
I called the store, and couldn't get an answer as to why my stuff wasn't delivered.
I was told my sales person would call me ASAP, as I was leaving within the hour. 2 1/2 hours later I had to call the store and ask for the sales person.
I was told that "somehow" my delivery was erased and moved to the next week. That the manager was looking into it and would get back to me within the half hour! Nothing for the next 24 hours, until a receptionist called to confirm my delivery for the following Thursday!
This is unacceptable.
I went into the store. And was told by the attending manager, after I said I wanted a full refund, that I should have" rented a uhaul and picked the stuff up myself". On my dime! I don't think so now! Again unacceptable!
I have always shopped at Leon's, and never again will. The organizational skills there are not up to par, or someone has screwed up and they are trying to cover their A$$es for their mess up.
However, after knowing I was waiting twice for call backs and on a time line, it was as if they thought, if they didn't call then they wouldn't have to deal with the situation at that moment!
Hearing from other persons who have had bad experiences with this location aswell. Something needs to be changed if the branch wishes to keep some sort of local clientele
