Lightinthebox.com is receiving orders, taking money for the order and then generating a fake shipping tracker. The item never ships. The tracker does not update over a 40 day period. All refunds are refused. Any attempts to establish a tracking number that works is met with lengthy correspondence that blames outside circumstances and begs for patience for extended delivery delay times. First, with 39 day extension, then 60 day extension, then 90 days, etc. They do not comply with International shipping standards and are not accountable for their defunct tracker link. As I've said, they do not give refunds. You have to sit and wait for 3 month's and never received the product. I've researched them on Twitter and other social media and many, many people have experienced this same situation. Do not order from lightinthebox.com the way they are. You are being scammed. If anyone else reading this has experienced the same thing, please let me know and we could go for class action maybe.

I had placed an order for some dresses and a pair of shoes - upon receiving the items they did not fit. Items were not only ordered by their size chart but a size larger because of the price of the items and still they were to small. I have been trying to reach this company after following the return policy before my 30 days are up, and I have not been able to get in touch with the company to speak with anyone or to receive a RMA (return merchandise authorization) to return my packages. I purchased product #[protected] (http://www.lightinthebox.com/customized-women-s-sparkling-glitter-latin-ballroom-dance-performance-shoes-more-colors_p276195.html) on 20 Apr 2017 (Order No. [protected]) and I paid USD $21.64 (USD $14.39 for the item + USD $7.25 for Shipping Charges & Insurance), which was the equivalent of GBP £ 19.04 (GBP £ 12.66 for the item + GBP £ 6.38 for Shipping Charges & Insurance).
I received this product and I opened a ticket because the item was not as described – please see ticket ID [protected].
I then asked to return this item, pay the difference and receive instead product #[protected] (http://www.lightinthebox.com/customized-women-s-leatherette-arch-strap-latin-ballroom-dance-shoes_p591975.html). In order to do that, I was advised to pay a difference of £7.57 on 13 May 2017.

Since then, I wrote several times advising that I still haven’t received anything and requesting for my money back (a total of GBP £ 26.61), but no one seems to take any measures.

This says ‘’Sorry, service cannot be completed. Please contact the sender’’, ‘’ ALERT: Your parcel has been returned to your sender. Please contact them with any queries’’.

I ordered 2 phones for my boyfriend and I from Lightinthebox on April 27th 2017. I paid for express shipping which is 5-7 days. The phones are for some reason sent seperately, and 7 days later my boyfriend's phone arrives. A week goes by and my phone still didn't arrive, so I contact the costumer service who then claims that I have received and signed for both phones and then suggests it's my neighbour who took it.
I then have to go through A LOT of trouble to prove that I only signed for 1 item and therefore never received my phone.
After this they then sent me a new and different tracking number to shut me up, yet after another week nothing happens. I then contact DHL and they say that, yes the tracking number is in the system for some weird reason, but they have never received a package to send off to me.
Costumer service now says that it has been sent back to the logistics department due to some costumes issue (funny that the first phone arrived without problems, no?) and they wont do anything before they receive the phone back. At the same time I have now gotten 3 new emails saying that my item is on its way, BEFORE and AFTER they say that it has been sent back to the logistics department.
This being said, it is a computer who writes me those stupid answers. I keep writing them, each day, attaching all proof I've got and I get the exact same answer written by some computer, saying that I need to have patience and that they will contact me when they receive the phone back.
Since the phone was never sent, they will never receive it back at their logistics department and I am now without a phone and missing $200.

I have nothing good to say about LightInTheBox, in fact they are one of the worst companies out there, don't buy from them. I have purchased several items from their site and was very disappointed with everything, very poor and cheap quality, also there was that strange chemical smell which I did not like.
I, of course, tried to return, but they didn't let me do that. Their rep in a very poor English said that their policies didn't allow them to accept anything back under no circumstances.
I was stuck with all these items and wasn't able to do anything, and also lost my money.

On 30.04 I placed an online order for 2 items for around £20 plus about £5 for P&P (25% of the cost of the items) and paid by Visa Debit.
On 04.05.2017 I received an email telling that one of the 2 items was out of stock and that they will reimburse me the price of that item. That would have meant that I was going to pay the same P&P for half of my order which made the purchase not feasible. I requested the cancellation of the whole order for full refund as they had made an unsuitable change to my order. They agreed.
On 08.05.2017 the refund for the out-of-stock item was credited to my original bank account and I have been waiting for the remainder since.
There is no UK phone number for customer service to contact (nor any other number is displayed on the website). There is no email address to contact. The trader’s website does not even provide a means of contact; everything has to go through the Order Number and/or ‘ticket ID’, but the Order Number has been closed and the ticket had expired. The website takes the user into endless loops with no result.
The bottom line is that I want the remainder of what I had paid and they agreed to refund be refunded quickly.

I made a big mistake of buying an electronic product of around Rs 1000/- from Lightinthebox. They said my product will be delivered in 10-20 days. After 30 days with no delivery, I contacted their customer care by raising a ticket. They said to wait for 40 days and closed the ticket. But after 40 days also the product was not delivered. I raised another ticket in which they mentioned please wait for 90 days as sometimes the package is stuck in ships due to bad weather etc. Since then I have been repeatedly chasing them for refund which they are not doing. Please read this funny response from Lightinthebox customer care "The reason why we can run successfully for more than 10 years is because we care about our customers’ bla bla. Unfortunately your package was delayed due to an extremely busy schedule of the courier.So you still have great possibilities to receive it within 90 days, before [2018-09-12]. If you do not receive it by that day, please open a new ticket to us and we'll file a case with post office to check."
