No Means of communication on their site! It tells you to click on your order # & it will give a box to contact them. This does not happen! The only way to message them is through their Facebook page. The items I ordered are for my son's wedding on 6/6/15. I paid extra to have the items expedited (3-5 days) . This order was placed on 5/19/15 & it is still processing! When they did respond to my message on Facebook they told me the order will ship on 6/4/15 & they told me to be patient! There is no way I will get it in time for the wedding! I asked them to cancel my order & refund my money but now they aren't responding to my request! I would not recommend this company to anyone!
the seller hasn't warned me about custom charges
I placed large order on the website www.lightinthebox.co.uk. I paid about $200 for the order, but the seller hasn’t told me that I would need to pay for the customs. I got the bill for $50, and it was mentioned that I need to pay it within 30 days or I wouldn’t get the order. What the hell? I tried to reach the seller, but this scammer ignored me. I won’t buy from them again.

The dress I ordered was too small. Lighinthebox refused to give me a refund stating it was my fault for not giving the correct size. I measured the dress and found it to be the incorrect measurement for my size. They relayed to me the instructions on returning the dress which I did. Received an email stating to click on following link which I did and nothing. No link activated by lightinthebox. I'm starting to feel the run around. I will never order from this company again.

I ordered a dress from this company. It arrived in a timely manner, however it was not tailored to my specifications and according to their charts-they cut it way too short than what I told them. I have tried for the last three weeks to get this problem resolved. They list a phone number that does not answer. They have given me nothing but the run around if they answer my messages at all. More than a month ago I ordered a black jacket with red fowers at Light in the Box, via internet. About 2 later I received an email from Light in the Box that the item was no longer available that they had cancelled my order. Today I noticed that Light in the box has charged my creditcard (Visa) for €15.50 allthough I requested at the time of their cancallation to retourn the amount to my credit account (Visa). In answer they send me the https://www.lightinthebox.com/index.php?main_page=ticket_after_detail&id=9150359 which is non existing according to google. How do I get a refound, I no longer trust Light in the Box, I want my money back.

There is no link on this page. I especially got 3-4 days delivery and it didn't come within the 4 days. I paid $25 for this delivery. So I could have for my holiday. I have now changed address. My new address is 4D/6 Bligh place Randwick 2031. Or just give me my money back.

On Friday 20th March 2015, i went on the Light In The Box site for the first time, before paying through my Pay Pal account for two android phones, these cost me £113.91, i then paid a further £15, 99 for the" Expedited Shipping & delivery costs " ( 3 to 5 days) to my home address, and was led to believe that this would cover everything, then they shipped it to another Chinese shipping company called UPS, and they are causing all kind of problems & driving me crazy! they now say my parcel is in Swansea & want me to pick it with £32 for tax & shipping costs, I am a 66year old housebound pensioner with chronic health problems, I have no one to help or advise me of how to deal with this difficult company, i do everything online, Shopping, Banking, Pay bills & have accounts with a lot of companies but i have never in the last five years ever come up against a company that are blatantly lying & deceiving consumers, I have a pension ( credit) every week & it is going to cause me great hardship if i dont know how to handle these thieves, With Respect, G Palmer

Hey I also bought a product from light in the box. It came eventually but very late. I suggest u pay for the tax because if y don't u will simply bit get your money back that u spent on the phone. After u clear this mess up plz do not ever use light in the box. They r not scammers just very cheap and try to do things in the most inexpensive way possible. EBay uses the same methods but are trusted and will give u an estimated delivery time.

Ordered a dress at the end of February. On March 11, 2015 I received an email stating that the item I purchased is no longer available. I would receive my refund for the purchase price within 24 hours. It is March 16th, and I have yet to receive my refund. Only way to contact company is via E-mail. Don't order from this website. missing shipment
I have been trying to contact this company for weeks. They don't give you a customer phone number, their e-mails are automatically generated and marked "non-reply" and on their web site where it tells you how to contact customer service, just has you going in circles. On the web site they said the problem was resolved, but wasn't. On one pagethey claimed the order I placed on Dec 13th was shipped on Dec 3rd. WHAT ?
They shipped it 10 days before I ordered it ? I have been trying desperately to contact them about my order. All to no avail.

I bought 2 dresses on Light in the Box website and one dress was $15 the other $12. There was free shipping on those items until November 23rd and I ordered them on Nov 21st which means my order should of been free shipping which would bring my total too $27.99. When I ordered I found out they charged me $15.00 in shipping charges. They sent me a confirmation email to tell me money was taken out of my account and that 3-5 business days my order would ship. Then I get an email saying that I didn't pay and that I need to pay still. They already took the $42.99 out of my account because it says on my account at bank which has their name Light in the box $42.99. Then I get another email saying I now owe $43.99. I was suppose to only pay $27.00 with free shipping and I get charged the $15.00 for shipping then they tell me I owe money and then they try to get me to pay more. It says on that website in my account that order is pending because they are waiting for me to pay. I already paid and I also got a confirmation email saying my account was paid and they will ship my order out in 3-5 days. I don't know what is going on but I will not get scammed. They took my money now I want my order shipped to me. If I have to I will make sure to trace their IP address and file a complaint with better business bureau and with anyone else that I have too to shut them down. I agree with the earlier complaint that someone may be skimming credit card numbers from miniinthebox.com.
I bought something at miniinthebox with a prepaid credit card that got from my cable company (Comcast). I had only used that card 4 times prior to buying this thing at miniinthebox, and all of those purchases were at established US companies where I shop all the time. 5 days after my miniinthebox purchase, a charge was placed on my card for a website I have never heard of: getnamenecklace.com. It turns out that both miniinthebox and getnamenecklace are Chinese companies.
The good news for me was that this was a prepaid card with a $200 spending limit. The bad news is that the customer service for my card from Comcast is not that good, so the process for trying to get my $32 back is long and painful, and may or may not succeed.

I made a purchase on 31 / 7 / 2014 and yesterday i found that my credit card information got stolen during the purchase. It was used in online purchase from a website i never knew. I think this website is not well secured, how did this happen? I don't know. I dealt with them before and got my friends to do the same, but from now on i will never purchase anything from this site again.
The worst thing was when i sent them inquiry to complain about it, the pre sales team replied me by an auto - message and when i replied them, i got nothing until now.

Having trouble getting return address of Light in the Box so I can return defective car stereo. They have agreed to refund my purchase price if I return the stereo. Now they will not give me their address. This has been going on for 6 months.

Ordered a two sided clock. The two faces are held together by a small piece of solder that could not withstand the stress of handling and it snapped. I have another two sided clock with a well-made hinge...this clock is NOT well made.
The return process is a nightmare. I have to send them a picture of the faulty product to prove my claim, when all they have to do is look at one in stock to see how poorly constructed it is.

I lost money and got fake tracking number
I bought two phones from the www.lightininthebox.com. I paid about $150 for the order and postage and sent this sum through Western Union. After that I received fake confirmation email and the tracking number, which turned out to be scam. This number didn’t show any useful info. I tried to reach the seller, but he didn’t reply. They are liars and scammers, and I want to find other deceived customers, who lost money. Please we need to stop this company and return our money. Post your comments.
I should have known better
Don't get sucked in. I'm so mad at myself because I didn't thoroughly check this site out before ordering from them. I purchased a few tops from them in similar styles. I'm a size small. No ifs, ands, buts about it. Always a size small. The tops are all supposedly a size small or "one-size" which according to the site fits small/medium sizes.
Unfortunately every. single. top. fits COMPLETELY differently - from being too tight to even put on without ripping it (I'm 5'0/100lbs - did they send me a child's shirt?!) to having the sleeve holes go down to my belly button and the shirt go down to my knees (XL style, like nightshirt worthy).
I thought - oh I'll purchase just one top to see how my order goes, and before I knew it, I was $60 in the hole with a boxful of blouses because they had so many "positive" reviews and adorable looking items. Oh and everything was so cheap!
Well not so much. $60 for nuttin.

I purchased $251 worth of merchandised on multiple items and returned shoes of poor quality and leatherette. You think that was the end of it, right? Wrong - I got the bill $25 for customs (DHL) even though I sent it to an address in the US.
After several correspondence the LITB service rep wrote "We are willing to provide you a USD25.70 rewards which values FULL tax fee or process refund of 50% of the tax fee, which will be USD12.85. Could you please tell us which solution you prefer? I chose refund at a lower value just to move past it. Guess what - I did not get a refund. I got rewards (hardly) at a lower rate which means you get the "rewards " if you shop twice the amount! What a scam. I wrote back - "You said either rewards at $25.70 or refund at $12.85. I chose refund (even if smaller amount just to close the issue) but you lie. Giving me rewards (lower amount at that) and still keeping me hooked into your system by putting more money in. Ive had it with you. You lie.

faulty product
I purchased two tablets in July as presents and now one of them will not charge. I contacted Light in the Box only to be told that I had 30days in which to send it back and that has elapsed so I was offered a $20 gift card to spend on their website. The tablets were cheap but with the delivery and import charges they worked out alot dearer than if I had waited and purchased them locally. Within hours of this company taking a payment from my account, my bank called to advise that someone in Maritus was trying to pay for goods with my card number. They cancelled the card and no monies came out of the account but I am still angry for the theft of my details. This company is disgusting and when was a 30 Guarantee any type of guarantee at all when it comes to electrical goods. Steer clear of this company. They are usless and sell on your details.

just bought a dvr after 4 days stop working, contacted them and they want me to take the dvr to a local repair shop and they will pay me for repair cost.. im very skeptical about refunding the cost.
wrong answer to my complaint

Bought two pairs of dance shoes which were a size to small for me and needed to exchange them for a size bigger. I had read where I had 7 days from the day I received the items to lodge a letter to inform the company for a refund or exchange.
The shoes arrived on the 30th December 2013, but was out when the delivery came, so had to go to the post office the next day the 31st to collect the parcel.
Immediately after I tried the shoes on, I wrote to the company and explained that the shoes were to small for my feet and that I would appreciate an exchange for a bigger size and would they let me know if there was anything else I needed to know before I post them back to them and where should I post them back to, here or China.
I immediately received a very confusing response back, apologising to me for not receiving the parcel as yet (I never said that!) and that they will give me a 20% discount on my next order for the incovenience they caused me. I wrote another email to them and explained that I had got the shoes and never said anything about not receiving them.
I lodged my request to them via email on the 31st. December and another on the same day explaining why I got such a complete different response from them which was not what I wrote all all. The second email has not been answered yet, unlike the first request when they resonded almost immediately. Now, the 7 working days from the day the parcel was received are the 30Th, 31st Dec. An order was shipped 31 Aug 2013 via bulk airmail. As of 16 Sep the merchandise has not been received. Considering that the method of shipping was airmail it should have arrived.
The web site avoids any method of contact other than the email that they originally sent confirming receipt of payment and date of shipping. The "chat" feature indicates that the contact has no access to shipping details. Trying to find a way to check on the merchandise through the site pages forces the consumer from page to page only to end at the starting page. A legitimate company would provide all means of contact to insure a satisfied customer. The complete lack of any means to reach a customer service representative gives the impression that a pickpocket has just stolen your money.
From the large number of complaints found on lists, avoid purchasing anything from lightinthebox.com.

Ordered a ceiling lamp and received a small 2 inch glass bulb. On time delivery, but not even close to the product I ordered.
Entered a customer service ticket and waited... for weeks.. Added some more info and waited... some more weeks.
After more than 2 months I got a reply saying a system fault caused my ticket to be misplaced and therefor non visible, then a question if I still experience problem with my order... what? Obviously I got a standard answer and whoever answered didn't read the ticket. Now after clarifying that I still haven't receive what I ordered, I'm waiting again - another week so far.
I write this so that anyone considering order from Light In the Box is aware of the risks. At this point I've paid approx. 300$ and received a glass bulb worth maybe 30 cent and without any real attention from customer service. Therefor I would say:
Warning, Light In the Box = fraud!
Of course, the standard answer from LightInTheBox, pretending there actually is a real customer support. But without reading my post at all. As if I hadn't a ticket from the beginning...
I guess this makes the fraud even more deliberate, giving an impression of customer support without really doing anything.

I did a trial run of this site by ordering fashion jewellery and hair accessories. I am very disappointed and will never order from this site again. I received my order in 4 weeks. If you have a wedding or special event, this might cause you problems.
