Don't buy from them. They do not get your order right then blame you. Apparently I didn't measure right and my computer lied to me and I got a flaming red dress instead of a ruby red dress! When I told them of this they were always right and I was wrong! There customer service lied to me (after chatting with them online) they said I would not have to send my dress back to China! Well I did. I paid them $124.24 and they will only give me half of the cost of the dress plus I must pay for postage to China! After all my expenditures I get nothing and they get their ugly dress back and my $124.24! They also want you to photograph yourself with measurements to prove the dress doesn't fit! How offensive and classless! Nightmare... Total sham. They need to be on Dateline NBC !

no customer service, no refunds, bad products, fail to deliver in 3 -5 days like they say, 6- 8 days they say after ordered. everything is drop shipped from china, cheap quality products and absolutely no refunds. cheap chinese made garbage is what you get. i wish i had researched them more then i did. if you want wedding stuff, by it locally in america, i am tired of chinese made trash that is inferior. you talk to them and they say there is no quality issue. That 23 days from today, and that's just estimated shipping, that still doesn't count the time it will take to actually get to me once it's shipped. I purchased a dress for my daughters wedding from Lightinthebox.com. Once I received the dress and tried it on the sleeves were WAY to small. I contacted them the very next day to start the return process. First they told me the dresses were tailor made and I would not be able to return it. Thankfully, arm measuraments were not listed on thier website so they agreed to have me send it back. After spending $45 to send it back to China I receive an email telling me they inspected the dress and it appeared to have been worn and could only refund me 50%. They said they found hair fibers on the dress. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! The only time the dress was on my body was when I tried it on. There is no way I could have worn it because it would not even go over my arms and I started the return process the day after I signed for delivery. I have asked to speak to a supervisor so I will update everyone with how it goes. Companies like this make you scared to buy anything online.

I too am having the same problem with a dress that I ordered from Light in the Box! I ordered a dress size 8, which should have fit according to their measurements. I knew better then to order from this web site, because of the complaints that I have read about. However I really liked the dress! The return policy is aweful! I had to take pictures of myself in the dress and prove that it didn't fit! I finally got the ok to return it, so I paid $50 in US postage to receive my $200 refund. Now they are telling me that they only received the shawl, which was part of my order! and they only want to refund me $12. I shipped the dress, shawl and a jacket all in the same box! I fear I will never receive the refund, and I'm out both the money and the dress! A word to the wise, never order from Light in the Box! Unless you have money to throw away!

I ordered a dress and took 3 weeks to get. When I got it the dress was totally misrepresented on their website. The color was no where near the color they had in their website! I contacted customer service and they told me to return it so I did. Brand new, tags attached and never even tried on! They get it back three weeks later and of course I had to contact them to see if they received it back. At first they lie and say the dress came back with tags removed and dress was worn and had scuffs and hair all over it. And can't refund me. This was a total lie! I called them on it because I was smart and had pictures of the dress when I packaged it and sent back. Now they say they will refund me. I have been waiting 6 weeks now and keep getting excuses about my refund. They keep dancing around it and never refunding me. This I rediculous and a rip off. I sent the dress back brand new with tags and they still have my money and the dress leaving me totally scammed. They lie when they say they will refund you because they never refund you. This company is nothing but a scamming lying rip off that sells misrepresented junk!

I ordered several electronics and gadgets over two years ago from this Company for my boy and they NEVER sent it! I had asked them to put the money back into my account they never did- I said, either way, send me my order or refund my money. During this time I had been busy with my investments that it required me to travel every three months so I never checked if it was put in and they never did, they just 'forgotten'. This time I have a bit more free time and I asked them to put the money back and they are offering me a coupon. I dont want a coupon, I want my money back and that's a problem.
This company is a scam- if you are an American be careful! I will make time to write the Better Business Beureau abut this and file a complaint once and for all. If you are an American and knows a way to stop this company from scamming into our country please let me know, because that is what I am going to try to do, stop this company from doing what they do. First of all this company is from China.
If you are ordering from the UK- look out you will be hit with some high tax/customs fees.Fees will run you about: $20-$47.00 per order.I think you are OK if you live in the US.
Let me also warn you about RETURNS-you will be charged for shipping BOTH ways and a restocking fee(& u will never be able to recoup that money).
So make sure you buy something you know for a fact you are not going to return.Even if the product you ordered was delivered broke or the wrong item was sent to you, will still be out the shipping both ways.
In the past i have ordered bathroom faucets from Lightinthebox with no problem but i read many unhappy reviews that have ordered dresses.
In the future if i do order from China- i like to stick with a company that protects the buyer like AliExpreess.The seller does not get paid unless you are satisfied with your purchase.

I purchased 5 vessel sinks with waterfall faucets. After 3 months of use, one of the faucet handles or joystick broke. I tried contacting the company to purchase or get a replacement part. All I get is a run-around. No customer service and they don't disclose on the site that you can't get replacement parts. I spent over $3, 000 on these 5 sinks and faucets and I cringe at the thought of them breaking. The quality of the product is not good and I anticipate the other breaking soon too. I made a terrible mistake purchasing these sinks and faucets from LightIntheBox. Please don't let them do this to others!

I ordered 2 Dropads for my 2 daughter, after 2 months one of them won't charge anymore so I contacted lightinthebox and they did send me a new charger, Problem is it still doesn't freaking charge! Now the other one also will not charge, so it is obviously that these are defective! I have 2 very upset kids about this and for the $$ I spent, I can't believe they don't have a 1 year warranty! I do not have a lot of money so I can't get my daughters anything new so I want everyone to know NEVER use this company! I bought and e-pad with light in the box. after a week I still had nothing received. I checked with them as nothing happened. they said to wait 40 days as deliveries could take long? I then asked for T&T and checked with UPS. UPS apparently stopped by my house just when i was not there. i could see from T&T the package was 60KM from my house waiting at an airport. I then asked to LITB to redeliver. Nothing happened. I asked again. Nothing happened. After another 10 days the package went to Neuss I could see. I asked why it was sent to Neuss in Germany. they replied finally the package was destroyed! so i asekd my money back. the commented they would not do this because i should have stayed home when UPS came by, ie it was my fault. AAARGHH!

I ordered a very big order from light in the box and the order got cancelled by mistake. I sent several messages immediately to continue with the processing of my package but they cancelled my order without confirming again. They did not refund and neither am i going to get my package which is worth $200. I am very angry at the way light in the box untions, without any email id or phone number to contact on. After sending about messages i get one reply of order being cancelled.
I want to return some items that are completely wrong but I can't even get to a login portal! It redirects me to an "internet explorer problem". The clothes are not made the way they appear on the site and 2 of my items wouldn't even fit a doll, let alone a normal sized human being!

I am currently trying to get something happening with incorrect curtains 3 incorrect out of 5. So far they are saying they will give me a 50% refund on 2. What about the third. No mention how they will refund. Very vague. I think I too have been ripped off t. I spent $800 and have two curtains, very expensive. I still have items in my cart that I wish to order but I think it would be wise not to. Any idea/suggestions for me. They tell you to order according to your track size, what do you do when they are too big/damaged.

My order was [protected] i ended up going to pay pal I have to send the order back for a full refund which will cost me yet
again. As it is I was quoted $450 to mend 3 but the pink sheer is damaged and too wide and the pulled threads are not fixable, so that curtain will be thrown out.
Now I will have to pay all over again to get the correct sizes. But will they be correct or will the same thing happen at more cost. I have other things I want to order but unsure and worried.
I have just accepted a 60% refund but believe that to be rather ungenerous, especially considering i ordered a custom size paid extra and it is wrong.
What i can't understand is I put the correct order in Paid good money and now have 2 curtains to big and 1 damaged and unusable. Basically I paid good money for a whole lot of grief.
Do I reorder to possibly be disappointed again, basically I'll be paying 140% for the curtains by the time I reorder. Not to mention the cost of freight again.

in February of 2012, about 2 months ago i purchased a tablet from lightinthebox.com and had no problems with it the first month but after the charger tip broke off i had to pay $40 for a charger at my local store. With in that first week of recharging the battery will not stayed charged and the screen says charging but the battery level went down while plugged up to the charger. The internal battery is messed up and probably was when I got the product. I have been trying to reach someone from the sight by email to return the product for either another working tablet or my money back. I placed an order with LightInTheBox.com for a cocktail dress after reading fairly reasonable reviews on their own website, unfortunately I felt confident after one of their 'live chats' which was mistake. There is no other way to contact the company or seek information nor redress. The dress is not yet due for delivery but I have already lost confidence, a) after trying to contact them and b) reading the quite complaints here.
My conclusion is that this is not a very professional set up, they are borderline fraudulent and very dodgy. With hindsight, I would not deal with them.

After placing my order, a iPhone accessorizes kit, I was able to follow the order after logging in on their website and they let me see that the item was shipped. But it never arrived.

I spent $240 on shoes- ordering 6 pairs in the one size. They arrived promptly about 2 weeks later- beautifully made but all in different sizes. Of the 6 only two were actually close to size. When I contacted the customer service they asked me to photograph the shoes with my feet in them (that was a sight let me tell you) so I did- 4 pairs of shoes with my heels hanging over the edge of the shoe.
After waiting almost a business day to get a return from the email I sent (in immediate response to theirs) they admitted error and gave me 4 options. I chose the option of compensation (half the amount of the shoes I purchased) and renegotiated the price - stll out of pocket. They then tried to reword it so I would not receive a refund, rather a store credit or coupon -which will never include postage. I have refused this version of the option and am still waiting on a reply which. after reading all the blogs here, Im thinking will probably not happen.
I paid through credit card as they did not offer the option of paypal- my huge mistake and one I will never make again. NEVER deal with this company if you cant pay through paypal- in fact dont ever deal with this company if you actually want to get what you paid for.

scam tactic to avoid refund for return
I ordered a dress from them and after good communication throughout the process and while waiting - it was late but they offered a partial refund for this as compensation - I was not happy with the dress as it was much bigger than expected. Instead of 33 1/2 inches around the bust this was around 35 inches, it was huge and could not be altered because of the built in bra, it also had fabric bulging inaesthetically instead of the draping on the original model and the strap on one shoulder was much wider at the base making it really unflattering. But worst of all, the underneath fabric was a shiny polyester-like material which looked cheap and tacky in flash photography which made it impossible for me to wear at my event. After numerous emails and persistence on my part, I returned the dress accordingly for a full refund.
The reply from Customer Sv was that they 'tested' it and measured it and it was fine so they cannot give me a full refund. As I had said in my previous emails, the dress size - which I have also tried on and measured several times and have photos to prove this - was not the only reason of my disappointment with the dress.
I could not have worn this dress even if it was the correct size because the underneath fabric was shiny in flash photography and looked like a Christmas light, reason which I have mentioned again and again. I would also like to point out that the photo on the website did not show the dress as having this cheap tacky shiny underfabric but it showed it in a soft delicate pastel, effect which is completely lost in flash photography - which there would have been plenty of at the event I needed it for.
I am profoundly disappointed with this tactic, I sent the dress specifically for a full refund, not for them to 'test' it and say whatever they want now that they have it and it's sort of my word against them. This was a lot of money for a dress that did not match the standard shown and modelled on your website, leaving aside the matter of the sizing.
I was so excited and pleased with the decision of ordering this dress and it has turned into a complete nightmare. I would not order from them again, really difficult to deal with and a waste of significant money.

Be warned that if you order a pair of shoes or clothing item in your size, but it doesn't fit well or you aren't satisfied with the quality, they do not accept refunds. I ordered a pair of shoes, size 38, and they are too small. I would like to exchange them for a pair, size 39. My order number is 4173147. Horrible experience, I order faux fur jacket, in size XL ( my size is 16 or 18), nobody mentioned in order Junior sizes ), I believe " size XL will be right for me.. This item is like size 8, ( no possible even put my arms in to the sleeves., Is noT possible to return back with contacting that company.No any e-mails is working to contact them, and no any phone # to find out.

I agree I ordered a bolero from them and they won't even acknowledge I ever dealt with them I have sent an email lodged a ticket to return and also put a poor review on their website - the review was taken down, the ticket was deleted and I keep being told there is no ticket lodged will never deal with them again
