I will receive Macy's weekly add. When I go into the store to shop I find that a lot of the products in their add doesn't match up to the shelf price. The shelf price is also more. I consistently have to point this out to the inept and rude employee who works at the customer service desk. This sometimes takes fifteen minutes or more to resolve the issue...

Macy's Wedding registry customer service unethical behavior

Incident : 07/01/2021 while on a phone call to [protected]
Wedding Registry acct: 7257321

I called the wedding registry customer service line regarding an issue with some items being shipped to a completely different address than the one listed under my acct. I spoke to Kaytriel, not sure if that's the correct spelling.
She provided information but with a passive aggressive attitude, as the customer I got fed up with it and when I asked to speak to supervisor she denied it at first. Then I got very aggravated and she finally put me on hold and transferred me, I am still on hold 17 minutes and counting. She told me I had an attitude and that "I deserved an attitude back." She also told me that I could just cancel my Macy's wedding registry.

I want the items that are missing to be replaced, I am not interested in a refund. I also think she is a terrible customer service rep.

I will attach proof of delivery to the items I never got.

Macy's Pre-sale purchaseDispute

I made a presale purchase at the Naples Florida Macy's on 1/27/21. Used my suncoast credit card. I returned 6/10/21 to pick up my 2 items, with my receipt and drivers license. I was told the purchase had been picked up on 2/1/21. I was shown the signature on their form which was not mine. I spoke with security, who asked me to wait while the security cameras were checked, which I did. The security guy Diago stated no pick up was shown for that date which was their date stating it was signed for. I was advised to call the next day as the Managment office was closed it was after 5 pm. I called several times the next day and spoke with a Daniella. No solution was found. I was repeatedly told the items were picked up. I continued to explain I did not pick up the items, and asked for this to be investigated further.

Macy's credit card and payments

I called to make a payment of over $5000.00 Of course I spoke to one of the people you employ overseas. I explained to her and we went over the payment 4 times. I wanted it paid on the Payment date of June 8th. She took it out May 8th resulting as an overdraft fee and then impacting my credit score. I spoke to a supervisor in the US the and he assured me I would be getting a response shortly. I asked him if this would be forgotten and he said absolutely not we value our customers.

Evidently he was full of it. I never received a response and when I called to speak to another US supervisor in credit on June 3rd, she insisted that it was my fault. I not only spent over $30, 000 last year but I am also a platinum member. I am inclined to pay everything off and destroy the cards. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE

Macy's Charter Club Sheets Ripped

I purchased several Macy's Charter Club Queen and Full sheet sets and three Queen fitted sheets ripped after limited use. I have brand new sets that I am afraid my tear as well. Love the colors but quality is poor. Wish I could get my money back!

Macy's Erroneous Billing Practices

I applied for a Macy's credit card and used my standard, 6-digit credit union checking account number for billing. Later, Macy's claimed that I had not paid my bill - when my checking account had thousands of dollars available. I could not understand this so I contacted Macy's and they said my account number had insufficient digits. I then contacted my credit union and they said that the 6 digits was all they ever required. I have used my standard account number with the IRS, international banks, other credit institutions and brokerage firms for over 20 years without any issue. However, my credit union provided me an additional 6-digit prefix for my account. I relayed this prefix to Macy's and asked why my account was validated for use if the account number was considered incomplete or invalid. The Macy's representative told me not to worry about it and that it would not be reported to the credit bureaus. I am applying for a mortgage now and was shocked to see this Macy's delinquency as the only negative incident on my otherwise perfect credit report! Macy's Auto-bill pay was setup, and there was a more than sufficient balance in my checking account at all times - yet no one at Macy's attempted to explain to me WHY my Macy's account was not being debited successfully. This was an anomalous billing practice by Macy's - unlike any of the 30 or so financial institutions I routinely conduct business with. I am additionally disgusted that the assurance I received from the Macy's representative was an unreliable representation of Macy's policy. Upon learning of this billing discrepancy I immediately paid off the entire balance of the Macy's account. As this billing practice was unknown to me - and should have been disclosed on the credit application - and was no fault of mine - I demand that Macy's REMOVE the delinquency status on my credit report.

Desired outcome: Removal of payment delinquency from my credit report.

Macy's Online order that arrived to my home

On May 17, 2021,

I was delivered an online order that was unbelievable! The white shoes that i ordered were dirty on top and a blue streak on the right shoe that was not a part of the shoe's emblem. Secondly, I received a comforter set that was used with a return pink sticker on the comforter. I took a picture of the receipt. Due to these two items being used, I returned the 3rd item due to my disgust that I have been a card holder in good standings with the company since they were the Jones Store Co. I will never place another online order! I needed these comforter sets for guest coming in for my son's graduation. Totally disappointed.

Macy's RUDE unprofessional clerk

Transaction #R1137192001834857107 2:43 pm on 5/17/2021 Customer: Patricia Lathan, Greenbrier Mall, Chesapeake, VA

I was purchasing a pair of suit pants and the pants. During the transaction I ask the cashier three times to keep my items on the hanger and to hang them in a bag. The reason I old her 3 times is because she repeatedly continued to get a bag rather than the hand up bag. When she finished, she proceeded to take my items and pants and the top and boiled them up to stuff them into the bag. When I told her the fourth time to hang them up, she threw my clothing on the counter. Once she threw the clothes on the counter in anger, I told her o call a manager several times before she called the manager. The manager provided an additional discount on my items and hung them in a hanging bag as I requested. The cashier lied to he manager and said she didn't throw the clothing. I know it's hard to get help these days, but she needs to fired. The cashier does not need to be taking care of customers. It perplexes me why they don't know there are cameras which record everything they do. My Macy's account [protected] -910. Managers name : Sharika

Macy's service

After staying home and having to wear a mask even while I was vaccinated, today the CDC announced that people who were vaccinated no longer need to wear a mask. I was so happy I went to Macys asap to shop and do a return. While I was waiting in the return line I went up to the register and the young girl standing behind plexi glass and wearing a mask asked if I wanted a mask. I told her about the mask and people who were vaccinated do not need to wear one. At that point she then asked "how do I know you are vaccinated? I said "Why would I chose to put my health at risk after following the guidelines and getting the vax? She walked away from me without a word a left me standing there. I have shopped at Macys a long time and have never been treated so poorly. She was RUDE and should not be dealing with customers. I tried to shop after that but was disgusted . She will be dealing with alot of people without masks. How will she treat her next customer who is not wearing a mask? Thank you, Tina Cassese

Macy's customer service

on this day tuesday may 5/11/2021 i had gone to macys in the mall here in stockton ca. and had the most bad kinda not so go exsperince you think after going out my way get a last minute gift i choose out all stores to take my business to purchase a 150 dollar perfume and to get it and not have it put in a nice bag or asked if i wanted in in a small bag not in a huge bage like im going to a grocery store then as i proceded to go ask another spose emploee said rudly no in the most descusting way i ask if they do wraping and didnt even give me a chance to ask anything else i saw other people purchase at this time other items and recieve a small but nice white bag the could have gave me at the time of purchase i hope they talk to everybody in the morning to set a time to how to treat anybody .

Macy's Service

You lie to your employees. You make them sign off that they have read the Code of Conduct but what difference does it make because they don't adhere to the rules. They say they will not tolerate harassment but it's a lie. If you report it then you are the one that is punished. I hate the freaking store.

Macy's Unlawful penalties and late payments fees!

I am writing to you in regards to my Macy's store credit card account. I have a problem with my account increasing instead of decreasing, even with my payments toward the account! My statement balance for February 2021 $ 152.52. I called in and spoke to a Macy's representative Mr Sergio, and made a payment of $ 29.00 in which should reduce my balance to $ 123.52. Since that time I have not receive any statement from Macy's till March 10, 2021 for the statement dated March 4, 2021. The statement was received late due our mail problem with the post office of Mar Vista. Unfortunately, i have no control over the mail and I am under their mercy to receive my mail on time and that sometimes is difficult due to this issue. My account balance on account is $ 198.95 due to the extra fees and late fees that macy" is attaching to my account.

This exaggerated balance and extra fees are not acceptable. Most of us are staying home due to the Pandemic collecting unemployment to make ends meet. We are all together in this situation and Macy's be compassionate toward this situation.

We are not here to cheat you of your funds but in the mean time we do not want to "gouged" with extra additional fees.

I called you client services on 3/10/2021 and spoke to three of your reps including supervisor Melody, employee # [protected] to resolve this issue, in regards to the extra fees. Unfortunately, Melody informed me that she is not able to help me with this issue.

I do not believe is is ethical nor lawful to use the limited funds I receive from EDD that is used to put food on the table for my family to pay exaggerated extra fees to Macy's. I would like to work with you with a positive resolution to this matter. about this matter. I do not want to file against Macy's at all the applicable agencies (FTC, FCRA, CRA, BBB, CFBP) and the attorney General yet till I hear from you. Looking forward to your response. Thank you

Macy's Return of merchandise over 60 days

Well today, March 8, 2020 I talked with 2 Supervisors and Customer Service.
My complaint is if you purchase an item and its over 60 days and if its jewelry, they WILL NOT EXCEPT THE PRODUCT BACK NO matter if you are in good standings and a long term valuable customer.

I did get the Diamond Baguette necklace, only to wear it for the first time on March 7, 2021 and half of the necklace it discolored. Its a manufacturer issue, but does Macys care or understand NO...

I didn't take the whole necklace out once I received it because I just looked at the front of the necklace because of COVID and I wasn't going anywhere at the time. (Big Mistake on my part)

I would think Macys would try to resolve this issue, but they say they have to go by rules and regulations... That's understandable, but the customer pays their hard earn money and can't receive quality merchandise from your company.

Well. Macy you have lost a valuable customer and I will tell all my friends, family, and Facebook my experience I've had with Macy and with no real resolution to this matter. The only script message I received was, "It's Our Policy". Sometimes, policy in this day and time with COVID, there should be some type of resolution other than, I'm Sorry...

Now I know how and where Macys stand on the behalf of their customers...

Macy's Service and craftsmanship

It is unfortunate that I am taking time to report this but this has just been a nightmare. I purchased a sofa and ottoman on September 21, 2020 knowing the items were out of stock until 10/19 for sofa and 12-13 for ottoman. This is what took place and is still ongoing.

[protected] Looked on the site and sofa was listed as "available" by 10-5-20. Called representative to change date.
10-12-20 Received call to schedule delivery of Sofa.
10-21-20 Sofa delivered
11-18-20 Received email-delay on ottoman until 12-28-20
12-22-20 Receive email-delay on ottoman until 1/7-21
1/20/21 Ottoman delivered but its the wrong ottoman. Same color and fabric but different dimensions and removable top cushions were vertical instead of horizontal. I spoke to the rep and the rep informed me that they don't even make that in those dimensions so this was definitely a defective piece of furniture that they just sent out anyway! She ordered another ottoman but said it won't be available until March 6th. I'm currently waiting for an email that will tell me that it will be pushed back again per usual. While furniture was being delivered, the delivery person pointed out to me that the center peg on my sofa was not touching the floor and it was supposed to be for support. I mentioned this to the rep and she forwarded me to a Macys contracted service dept. They were not able to give me a date to come out and said they would call me back when they found out a date when the serviceman was "in my area".
1-25-21 Received call for service visit and scheduled for 2-19-21
2-19-21 Received call because they had to cancel service appointment and would call to schedule another appointment when "in my area".
2-23-21 Called to schedule service appointment but rep told me they couldn't because manager wasn't there and they didn't know schedule but she would call me back as soon as she found out.
Meanwhile I have an ottoman that is defective and not what I ordered and a sofa that isn't crafted in a way that it is not supported the way it is supposed to be supported and the back left side pops in and out as if the back board has come unglued or unfastened in some type of way. But my money is paid IN FULL!

This whole experience has been frustrating and I expected so much more from Macy's. I did it once but I will never buy furniture from Macy's again and I wouldn't advise others to.

A very dissatisfied customer.

Macy's Sofa

We purchased a new sectional sofa from Macy's in August 2020. It was delivered in Nov 2020.

Less than 2 months later we noticed a rip in the fabric behind the couch (which was around 6 inches from the wall) and a piece of metal sticking out.
We reached out to the company to evaluate and they sent a person who said they won't cover it under any circumstances if it wasn't present at delivery.

Very unclear what the manufacturer warranty is, but multiple calls to Macy's did not get us anyone who would support fixing this.

Desired outcome: Fix the rip in the fabric and correct the metal support
