Macy's producing refurbished mattresses

Mattresses Need Consumer Protection Laws: My mother is to receive her "3rd" replacement under warranty of Macy's Hotel Collection "Cushion Firm by Sterns & Foster" due to quality defect (mattress sinks after 1 month of use). Sterns & Foster (Sealy) is telling me that they manufacture to order and they manufacture this particular product in Patterson New Jersey. I suspect that Sterns & Foster (Sealy) are either producing refurbished mattresses for the Hotel Collection and are selling them as "new" or producing low quality and selling them as high quality (ripoff). Mattress manufacturing guidelines are different for each state, and in some states, tags need to be sewn into the mattress (yellow or red) to indicate that it is a refurbished mattress. I really don't understand why the government does not set up strict guidelines for mattresses... believe these manufacturers are getting away with conducting consumer fraud and hoping people do not report the warranty issue within the one year time limit and then the consumer gets stuck with something other than what is described as new. These mattresses from Macy's are not cheap; they are priced from $1500 to $2000. When my mother receives her "3rd" replacement..I will ask the delivery person to write "new" on the paperwork to aid in pursuing this matter w/ the PA State Attny General's office. Statisically, what are the chances that my Mom has received two defective mattresses w/in less than one year with the same brand/product. Something smells fishy to me. Sterns & Foster customer service doesn't even want to look into the matter...they quote a 1.3% defective rate for all their products...which you know is nonsense, based on the inspectors that arrive to classify the mattress as defective. If I was Macy's, I would take the high road and return my Mom's money if the 3rd mattress is defective. The time and effort being wasted on communicating this defect is worth more than the mattress at this point.

Macy's inhuman corporate human resources

I recently applied to several ads that Macy's had posted on job sites for Visual Merchandiser in the NY/NJ area.

Macy's does all contact through email but there appears to be no, or little communication between the corporate human resources and the actual store management. Macy's human resources can not be contacted by phone and does not answer email inquiries.

I first received e-mail invitations for a phone interview, and then a conflicting note the next day for an in-person interview. I made several inquiries and after 2 days Macy's finally got back to me that the phone interview note was a mistake and that I should schedule an in-person interview at the Paramus location. - This I did.

Macy's asks that you arrive 15 minutes before the interview to fill out paperwork and it's an hour drive from my home to Macy's Paramus. 20 minutes before I was schedueled to be there, Macy's Paramus calls my home to cancel my interview. I had driven an hour in 93 degree heat, changed into my suit in a Starbucks bathroom and arrived on time. An english accented woman at Paramus Macy's human resources greeted me with scorn because I did not get the cancellation message that was not made until I had actually reached the location. She told me that no-one could see me at this time. I was really crushed, but politly agreed to rescedule for the next week.

I wrote human resources, but they did not respond.

I arrive on time at the re-scedueled appointment and the department mgr. (Michael) was there, but could not see me. I did speak to one of his assistants and although I thought it went well, I never heard from them. I realize now that the re-scheduled interview was just a pacification set up by an employee outside of the actual department. Thank you for wasting my time and gasoline.

A month later, Macy's posts another job listing for the same position at the Cross County Yonkers NY store. I apply though their website again and receive and invite for an interview from Macy's human resources corporate. Arriving early on Wed. at the Yonkers location, the staff does expect me, and the Visual department manager is on vacation. (How can they schedule an interview when the manager is not going to be there?) After some confusion, I do get to meet with his assistant. The interview goes very well (!?) : The assistant is very excited about the possibility of getting me on board, and she will speak to her boss as soon as he returns on Monday. I leave hopeful.

First thing next morning I receive an automated rejection email from Macy's human resources that can not be responded to, saying that my qualifications do not match the job. - This is the exact opposite of what I was told in yestereday's interview.

Again, Macy's corporate human resources can not be reached by phone, and again they do not respond to emails. So I contact the assistant at the Yonkers store who is shocked also. She herself can not get an answer from human resources, but it is speculated that something might have came up in my background check. (When you can not get a straight answer, you can only guess) Macy's application clearly states that they will inform of any refusal of employment due to background check, but they certainly did not contact me. - I have no record, never been arrested, or in court or even gotten a speeding ticket... so I can't understand.

I have no way of knowing because Macy's will not answer.

As a sincere, well qualified applicant I deserve a fair chance at a position and straightforward, open communication from the large impersonal corporation that for some reason I would like to be a part of.

During each step of the process, Macy's corporate human resources has shown a callous lack of communication with complete disregard for prospective applicants and their own store employees. There is no "humane" at Macy's Human resources and one has to question the ethics of a company that randomly and erroneously makes appointments without the store's knowledge and has the policy of not responding to sincere email inquiries when email is their only form of contact?

Pretty evil huh?

I just had the same experience of going through the process of being "Invited" for an "Interview" at Macy's from the mystical OZ Human Resources Department. After spending my entire morning preparing for the interview which included finding a sitter for my sick mother, purchasing the perfect outfit, getting my nails done, designing a resume specifically for this job and driving to the specified location 15 minutes early just to be turned away from the pathetic lone receptionist stating that the job I applied for was actually not available and there was no time to contact me when my appointment was at 3:45 p.m. I asked if I could still have an interview for another "seasonal" job position and was told that I would have to re-apply online and the mysterious person I was to have an interview with had just left the office for the day. No apologies, it is just how things work at Macy's, there is no Human in Human Resources and no consideration for their applicants. How is it possible to be so out of touch when applying for a Retail Business demanding top Customer Service when they can't have same qualifications. I would never want to work for such an establishment, just wonder how they treat their employees if this is how they treat a qualified applicant. As for Applying for another Interview, I don't think so ... a big waste of time and expense.

MACY’S RECIPES FOR HIRING PEOPLE AND ABUSING THEM
Macy’s managers are well paid to abuse Macy’s workers and employees
Macy’s managers enjoy the good life, driven very expensive cars, getting high as much as they want to and promotes violation of labor laws for Macy’s benefits with the advised of some lawyers working on the Labor Laws ethical borderline
Very well paid Macy’s managers abusing a lot of employees justifies their very high salary, because they are saving a lot of money to maintain a large number of employees paid at the minimum wage and making a lot of profits on its sales as well on the low wages paid to employees.
No employee hourly increases, in other words nobody gets a dime, never, even after working many years for Macy’s and having an excellent performance on the job
Macy’s profits came from a combination of paying low wages to employees and very high mark ups of cheap merchandise bought from Asia
Violations of labor laws is the norm at Macy’s and well and cheating and deceiving.
Macy’s is having Lawsuits for paying less hours that the hours worked by the employee. Not one case, but on many cases on employees working in the USA
Also taking more deductions than the law allows on employees paychecks
HOW YOU CALL A COMPANY DOING CHEATING AND DECEIVING AND BREAKING THE LAWS?
“I know the name you have in mind, but unfortunately you can not say it here, because it is a bad word and some people may feel offended by that”
The best you can do is not shopping at Macy’s
Show Macy’s smart ### managers getting high all the time, who is the boss!
Macy’s without customers, won’t go anywhere and Macy’s managers will not get the money to buy the drugs to get high and doing illegal things on employees
But obviously, Macy’s managers are receiving orders from the CEO or others very important people at Macy’s to act illegally
MACY’S, WHEN A DOG STILL AT LARGE!

I have a Macy's credit card that I opened several months ago. I have a low balance and made sure I paid my bill on time every month... until a couple months ago, I made my payment 3 days late. Unfortunately, Macy's does not allow you to have reaccuring payments and the only option is to pay by check, phone (for a large fee) or online. I was charged a $25.00...

Macy's employee abuse

this is the worst company i have ever worked for... first at all when i got the interview they said they count my experience (5 years of retail) because it was not in the USA. so they will put me on probation to see if i really deserve the job ok that passed, i took the job for 8 dollars an hour. after my probation i went to see the hr about the Promes(a rise) they said well you have to wait another 3 month. i was really good at costumer service i have been recognize every single day i participated to all rewards i was just the best on my department with 100/100 every month. then i to talk to them and tell them that i will leave if they don't rise my paythey gave me fifty cents more! i was at the same trying to find an other job but every time they call my manager he says bad things because he did not want to lose me! i figure it out when i applied to an other store then they called me to the interview everything was ok they said we just have to call your manager to confirm what you told us! they never called me back!this is just unfair. i left anyway because they make you work like a slave for nothing in exchange plus they want you to lie to costumers when they want to meet their goals. for example when a costumer credit card doesn t work they tell you to put him back in the system without knowing it the costumer is applying again and thats gonna count for the manager!

Macy's no credit guidelines

So confused and the same thing happened to me. Macy’s told me there are no credit guidelines but that if you want something just bring it to the counter and they will try to accommodate your purchase…WTF! I tried to spend 180 dollars the other day and was denied in front of a full line mortified since I have had my credit card for 11 years. I didnt use it for a couple of months so they told me the most I could spend was 49.00 WTF. Then I called Macy’s C/S and I was really upset they said they would pull my credit report to see if they could accommodate my purchse I told her NO that will go against my credit score which she agreed and then I told her I may want to just close my account because its not worth having.

Come to find out today after speaking with the Macy’s complaints department the w**** closed my account without my permission. I am livid and not going to stop until I get some kind of compensation for my embarrassement and closing my Macy’s account without my permission.

Macy's credit card fraud

I am stationed overseas with US Department of State. On 7 July 2011 while on vacation at the town of Clearwater, Fl my wife and my USAA bank debit cards and Ripley Master Card were stolen; immediately the cards were used to make fraudulent charges at the Macy’s East store #832 located in Tampa, FL. One of the charges were for $417.30 on my USAA bank debit card; however, I am still trying to get the statement for the other charges made at the same Macys department store with my other credit card since it is from an overseas bank. I blame Macys for not enforcing their sales associates to very the customer’s identification when making a purchase with a credit or debit card.

I work for Macy's Department Store, although it's not currently our store policy to check credit cards, I do. When a customer states that they are using a credit card. I state respectfully, "for your protection" can I verify your credit card with your identification. Not one person has had a problem with this, they continually states thank you. While I don't blame Macy's, I do think that sales associates should provide customers with this service, this is considered as optimal customer service, which is what Macy's selling platform is all about. As a Macy's employee, I deeply regret that this has happen to you, as I know personally how much of a inconvenience trying to recover stolen items can be. Best of luck, Macy's employee

You slide your own card at Macy's. We don't even touch/look at them. Also, if you talk to anyone in loss prevention at Macy's, they don't waste their time on credit card issues unless it's a Macy's charge that's being used fraudulently.

Plus, we can't confront "guests" or make accusations, ever. Big no no. And Macy's would lose money if we denied suspected fraudulent purchases... losing money just isn't an option to them.

Macy's rude mall clerk

On Sunday I went to Woodbridge Macy store on 7/31 at 3:56 pm. I purchased a black dress with my Macy Black card. I didn’t want to keep the charges on the Macy card so I told the sales clerk I would like to pay for the charges with the debit card. So I placed the debit card in her hand and she in return put the debit card on the counter. I don’t think this a normal business practice with Macy. I am a very valuable member with Macy’s store and I think she needs to be spoken to on her behavior. Here are the two transaction numbers listed below so you can identify the saleperson.

Macy's ms. manny, compliance dept

Macy has confused me with another card holder, and has maligned me with the credit reporting agencies. I have a letter from Ms. Manny stating that they had confused me with another client, and would make sure that their error would not reflect upon me negatively. They haven't corrected their error, and now they have attached someones elses account to my name. How do you get someoness attention at Macys?

Macy's worry no more

I purchased worry no more gold coverage for my outdoor furniture set in june 2010. This was to cover a $ 2, 800.00 patio set. I was told that it covered me in full, for full replacement or repair, for my entire set. My 11 foot umbrella cracked in half recently. Not even used a year. Macy's had the nerve to offer me $ 45 dollars under their plan. I told macy's that a new 11 foot umbrella is at least $ 300.00, so this is not full replacement. They told me since the original $ 2, 800 set included a 9 foot umbrella as part of the package and I paid $ 45 dollars to upgrade from 9 to 11 foot. This is why they only wanted to give me $ 45. To me, this is a scam. If it's full replacement, it should be just that. After pushing them for at ;east 6 hours of phone calls, they offered me a $ 250 gift card plus the $ 45 dollars. I suppose that is more like it, however I should not have had to go through hell to get this far. Full replacement gold coverage, should not defy common sense. Maybe my broken umbrella that they refused to deal with should have hurt someone, then they would have paid a lot more than this. I really hate being taken advantage of.

Macy's order never received

I ordered 16 placesettings of dinnerware on August 6. It is now December 1 and I am still waiting for the last three placesettings to arrive. I have contacted Macys.com over fifteen times. Each time they promise to look in to this and call me back but no one ever does. I often ask for a supervisor but they are either not available or also promise to call me back but never do. It is unbelieveable the stories they have told me about why the dishes have not arrived or where they have been sent in error, it is really endless and changes every time.

Okay now where do I begin. Macy's is one of the worst places to work at for several reasons: 1. They change your schedule without telling you 2. They lie about fitting your school schedule!! They expect you to live your life for macy's 3. They treat the employees poorly and unless you open up 2-3 macy's cards and make your sales goals every week, it'...

Macy's they just don't care

There's a reason why it seems like Macy's is always hiring... once you get in, you're dying to get out. I've worked there once and have had two interviews since then, so let's just talk about the interview first.

Whatever you apply for, won't be the position they interview you for. I applied for a sales associate, they try to make me become a beauty adviser. I apply for day full time position, they try to convince me to work a nights part time position. It seems a little fishy to me that every time you go in for an interview for whatever you applied for that they try to convince you into doing something else. I truly believe that they post those job openings just to get people to come in so they can try to persuade them into crappy jobs. If you say no, you'll then soon get an email saying you weren't a right fit for the job you applied for, even though you are, they just wanted you to work something else.

When you do work there they'll throw you out on the floor all alone to cover a few areas, even if you didn't have full training yet. They won't tell you what to do, they'll just leave you to fend for yourself. I remember my first day I was left to cover three areas alone. I was terrified, I didn't know what to do! I thought I was doing well until finally a supervisor came over to me and gave me crap for not cleaning out all the fitting rooms every 45 minutes. I didn't even know!

Just how at another Macy's store I went into one day, they had a huge sale in shoes and the girl working in the shoes all by herself was having a hard time. She kept apologizing to everyone saying it's her first day and she hasn't had all of her training yet. Her supervisor came over to her and yelled that she wasn't working fast enough.

Their biggest concern is how many credit accounts you can get open. If you don't get so many a week they'll give you complete crap for it. You can't force people to open accounts, especially at this time when our economy isn't doing so well!

When I was working there I either had to get a ride home or take a few buses. I worked at the Macy's farthest from me, and just about everyday they would ask me to work late if I wasn't already working a full shift. When I told them no for obvious reasons, they would get really upset with me.

The co-workers are one extreme to another at each store. You will work with some very nice people, and then you will work with the people who hog the register so they will reach their sales goal, while you won't be able to get to half of yours.

To be honest, Macy's Inc. doesn't really give a damn about their employees. You're just another number to them (really, you get a number.) You get in there and the only thing they care about is how many credit accounts you open and how high your sales goal is. I understand it's a business, and you have to really work, but there's no reason to treat employees poorly.

It all looks good from the outside when you're just starting. They'll tell you about this great program they have if you ever have a problem, and how you can earn "Macy Money, " but really it's not worth it. Unless you want a retail job that you're miserable at, and have to work like a dog for peanuts, then find anywhere else to go.

Again ILC3 I didn't go back to work for them. I was blessed to have found a higher paying job. I turned the offer down. Maybe you should go work for the company and see how much you love it. Every single person I know who have worked for Macys Inc. hated it because they were treated poorly. Educate yourself before you attack me.

The only person who needs to "shut the ### up" is you TheLoveFist V. I see you comment negatively on everyones postings. You don't like what I have to say? Then don't read it. You have no valid point in your comments if all you can say is to "shut the ### up." How classy of you!

Wanderinghebrew I do count my blessings. I've worked in a factory in the dead heat of summer with no A/C, doing hard physical labor. I've worked days from 5:30 AM to 4:30 pm. I know what a real days work is. The conditions weren't great, but at least they didn't treat their employees badly. That's my point.

It has nothing to do with the actual work you do at Macy's, but how they treat you.

Update by The HappyEmployee
Jun 28, 2011 9:50 pm EDT

Actually ILC3 it's extremely hard to find a job where I live, I'll do anything I need to do to help my family to survive. Not everyone in this world has that luxury.

I guess if you haven't worked there you wouldn't know how bad it really is. I've worked other places and never have been treated badly like I was there. So if you don't like what I have to say, then don't read it.

Wow...I started working at Macy's in Pleasanton, CA around the time this complaint was posted! I totally agree with everything you have said...what's even sadder is the lie's they tell the Christmas help. In my department the manager feeds employees and others info that may or may not be true? I am starting to question so much...especially how a associate still has a job who was drunk at work the other day in the morning...then laying on the floor.
It's been a real eye opener for me...I am an employee that really respected my company and I still give my job 100%. I just feel that there are so many scams and lies going on that I will be moving on... BTW...I am a business owner as well and this has pretty much been so disappointing.

Macy's arrogant customer service

I had misplaced my invoice from last month and was charged a $25 late fee. When this rare incident happens, I always try to talk to customer service, - most service companies will reverse a one-time late fee charge without a problem as long as it is not a recurrent offense.
After spending 45 minutes of my life trying to get through to a customer service representative - I finally got hold of this arrogant guy who is negotiating a $14 fee for paying over the phone versus my late fee of $25!...geeee, I am saving $10! I told him I did not appreciate his tone and the way he was handling the situation. He just kept wanting to know when I would pay my amount due. I finally told him I would pay off the full amount and NEVER AGAIN use Macy's credit card! I am just wondering how Macy's can afford loosing customers in these tough times?

I work in collections at Macy's and I do not appreciate ranting and raving imbeciles who refuse to read their billing statements... or contact us in a timely manner. If customers have issues receiving their on line billing statements they need to call [protected] and we will be happy to work with them. Every one of us deserves to be treated with respect and it's a two way street. If you don't understanding something ask questions... but don't waste our time asking us to review every transaction that you have made for months...

I've had a late fee on my account a few times over the years and it's never been an issue for me. I called and quickly got someone, explained my situatution and they waived the fee. I call with kindness and respect that they have the right to say no because it's my mistake after all. Never had a problem.

Macy's beware

Actually, this should be a -3 stars because working at Macy's is a joke! I can only speak for my own store and experience but if you are in Houston, Tx DO NOT go to the West Oaks Mall Macy's. The managers are lazy and delegate all their responsibilities to the AST members and then yell at them for not getting their duties done. Speaking as an employee no wonder the turn over is so high. It's the most unprofessional, catty hostile work environment I have ever worked at. Employees are written up for everything from not making sales to not smiling enough (true story). The store manager shops and puts merchandize in her office till it goes on sale so she can get it for pennies on the dollar. The store looks like crap and no one has loyalty. I am sorry but when you are nit picked to death, you as a employee don't have much "Magic" to spread around. No wonder your satisfactory rating is below 50%. I hope this location closes in the near future. Even as a customer I will not shop in my store. Actually, this experience has closed me off from ever shopping at Macy's ever again.

I work at Macy’s and unfortunately I had been continuously harassed by a black lady. I filed a harassment case against her. A couple of months later I get called to HR. They made me sign a piece of paper that said if anything else came from it I would be terminated? I could not believe it. I was the one being harassed. So our store made a path to growth bonus. They would not give me my bonus because it was a final warning even though I had never been written up before. The lady I filed the report against received her bonus. I have contacted a attorney but not sure yet if it will do any good. I told my boss that I had contacted a attorney and he asked what he could do to make things right. I said give me my bonus check that I worked for! I can’t believe I have been treated like this. The have a code of conduct rules which is a joke. They say they don’t tolerate harassment but that is a lie because I reported harassment and I was the one written up? WTF

First off, i was recently laid off from my job in June. Im a college student and dont get financial aid because my parents make too much money. I had heard from some people that macys was hiring (Hmm i wonder why). I loathe retail. I used to work at forever 21 and even i witnessed alot of crap. Im pretty sure i can handle macy because forever 21 is a messy, hectic, and stressful place. I had been applying for stores for a whole month and macys was the only place that responded. Anyways, i purposely put on my application i couldnt work friday, sat and sunday nights. I know how those retail stores work. I knew they would schedule me for the ### hours so i didnt put them down. Aftering offering me the position, the guy said friday, saturday and sunday nights were the only hours available. Plus, being scheduled for those orientation days tues/thurs is ridiculous. I go to school tues and thurs and i dont understand why those are the only days that are offered. Uggh i knew at that moment that macys wasn't going to be as understanding and helping as i thought it to be but, being a person that has bills to pay (car insurance, car note, food, gas etc) i told them that i could work those hours as "on-call." I am pretty sure i am going to regret working there, but i dont plan on staying for long. I just needed something to get me buy till october till im done with school and move.

Macy's charges and fees

I shop at Macy's store once in a while. Every time I pay at the register, the sales clerk usually tries to entice me to sign up for the card to get extra discount. After a few of such attempts by the sales clerk, I finally agreed to apply for the card. The trap has been set.

I later made a purchase at the store worth of $30 and put it on my Macy's card. Here's the mistake I made. I have many credit cards and am on top of making consistent payment. I don't use the Macy's card very often, so i don't really check my statement every month. A a result I missed my payment. The late fee? It's a whopping $27 on the $30 I owe - that's a 90% increase. This is a sure way Macy's can make a profit kill fast, and forget about selling the products.

And unfortunately I missed my next monthly statement. So now I'm charged $37 fee because I owe them the inflated $57 from previous statement. The total I owe now is $94. By this time I realized what was happening and called in to resolve the situation.

I wanted to pay off the entire balance over the phone. Oh by the way there's a $15 charge to make a phone payment (no kidding). After my plea, the phone payment charge was reduced to $5. So made a total of $99 payment over the phone.

A week later I got a call from Macy's collection dept. saying my last payment attempt didn't go through. Why? Because the last agent didn't put the correct info into the system. So they got a return check. Oh by the way, a return check will cost me $25. So now I owe $124! Unbelievable.

Today I gave Macy's collection dept a call and try to square this off. The agent wanted to charge me yet another phone payment fee of $15. I was furious, and told the agent that this is supposed to be making correct for my last payment, not a new phone payment. He agreed and dropped the charge.

Conclusion - It is just not worth the potential trouble you'll get into applying the Macy's card to save some money. No, in the end, I lost a whole lot more than I save. And Macy's has just lost a royal customer. This is a loose - loose game, Macy's.

For those of you shopperholic, maybe the card does you great savings if you are really on top of it making full payment every month. For there rest of us, my advice is just use your regular credit card and gain milage rewards on your card instead.

Macy's vulture policy makes sure they won't loose a penny to anyone and can make a good profit kill at the same time. In the end, they also loos some customers for good.

@ heath2011 + starlet
I've been using cards for 15 years and have more cards than i need. You think I don't know about penalty and fine print? How do you like for being given a parking ticket for $5, 000? I can tell you, well next time don't park illegally. You've never made a mistake in your life before? And if you did, you'll take any penalty given to you no matter how ridiculous it is? Bunch of square heads.

@heath2011, @Shawn Rinzee, @Here We Go Again

I don't think you guys get the deeper layer of the story i'm trying to express. Sure, i'm fully aware that it was my mistake not paying the bill. And sure, Macy's was just enforcing its "rules." And i don't need your sympathy over the fact i had to pay for my mistake.

Here's the more important part most people over look or just assume that's part of life and become suckers. The policy itself is just plain unfair and written at the company's advantage. How do you like if you mis paying your phone bill of $50 and end up paying $95 as a result?

This practice is done more often in the banking industry because these companies know as a fact that there will be always a small percentage of customers making this type of mistake, and the company may as well turn this into a very profitable business.

If you were to run a restaurant, and a customer spills his full cup of coffee by accident. What would you do (remember this is the same customer coming almost everyday) -- do you say, no problem, let me replace your cup of coffee at no charge, or say, well too bad, you need to pay for cleaning fee and for your replacement, too.

I relate 100% with the first story written here about Macy's and their horrendous credit card scam! That is exactly how they get you too...why use your DISCOVER Platinum card with your excellent credit rating that goes totally out of their way to make you happy and keep you happy by trying not to charge you even low interest when you can instead take out a Macy's card with a company that lies about sending out statements. Then they wait three months and with 26.99% APR and an insane $38.00 monthly late charge...your $50 pair of slacks you missed is now pushing $300.00 and growing! We are so done with Macy's and now have become huge supporters of telling others...warning them really...to avoid Macy's at all costs! Oh...and don't bother with the BBB or your state's consumer (UN) Protection agencies...Macy's rules every time!

I called macys and got the payoff on my credit card in August 2015 paid the whole bill off. Then in November 2015 I get a bill for 2.00 in intrest I went to macys to ask them whats the interest on when my account was paid off in full in August. Got a manager she was on the phone calling macys and low and behold they told her they are sending me back 14.95 plus the two dollars in intrest and I still dont know why nor did the store manager. But its better off in my pocket rather than theres. Id suggest making sure you check your bill regulary. If they charged me 2.00 interest on nothing imagine how many are also getting charged for a closed account

Macy's customer service

I went to the mac counter to get a color match. After Eboni, the artist turned around and asked if we had been helped, she did not help us after she finished with her client. I only needed a quick color match that took less than 5 minutes and I think her name is Jessica helped me although she had a client (who kept getting on the phone). There was another artist who did not help me because "I have to leave" and a group of people who arrived after me were helped. I started being very rude and loud because that is ridiculous EBONI. I walked back by the counter and Eboni had left also. I ended up going to Bobby Brown and Sara was very helpful and attended my needs quickly.

I supported you until you said this "I started being very rude and loud because that is ridiculous EBONI.". If this is your means of solution to poor customer service then you are part of the problem.

Macy's time limit

There has been a stain on my $2000 sofa for about 3 months. I dug around for my worrynomore brochure, but could not find it. A wedding and master's degree program got in the way of further investigation. When I finally called, they informed me that since I did not call within 10 days of noticing the stain, they cannot help me. I started crying because in an economy such as the one we are in $2000 + the cost of the warranty is a lot of money to lose, and they hung up on me. I have never been treated so poorly by customer service agents in my life. Shame on you, Macy's. I can tell you one thing -- I will never shop there again!

You did not call within 10 days of noticing the stain. How is that Macy's fault?
