Menards mastercraft exterior door

We purchased a mastercraft door in july 2018 from menard's in virginia mn. This door was a display model, which we paid $1, 100.00 for. A couple of days ago, the 3 point lock system failed. We could not open the door from the inside, nor the outside of our cabin. To get the door to open, we ground the lock off. Currently, we need to use a crowbar to get in, and a crowbar to get out. What has corporate menard's provided for us? The reason that we bought a "display" model, and it isn't under any warranty. Warranty? That is well beyond the basic scope of this problem. This is a serious issue, of being locked in and locked out. We bought a door that is defective. Why would menard's sell a display unit if it isn't going to work?
As is. Uh huh. Gotcha. We'll be furthering our request for compensation.

LIP SERVICE - for compensation. After purchasing a Mastercraft Exterior Door in July 2018, the 3 point lock system failed in May 2019. To exit our cabin, we crawled out a window. The lock was stuck, and inoperable from the inside and outside. This door was BRAND NEW, on an end cap at the Virginia MN Menard's store, and considered a "display" or "bargain", "as is" unit. This door NEVER left the store until we bought it. YES, a bargain at $1, 100. Hence Midwest Manufacturing will not compensate us for this DEFECTIVE DOOR. Why sell ANY product if you can't cover your liabilities for a FAILED item? Lip service from company reps is the compensation that was offered.

Menards damaged merchandise

Went to manards indy south store @ 7140 s. Emerson ave indianapolis in 46237 on 5-10-19 and bought a samsung microhood 1.7 # 4657811. Took it home and unpacked it to install and microwave was all dented up like a fork lift hit it. So called store and they said they would exchange it. When we got there they said all we have left is the one on display and before I could say anything the person said and we are not going to lower the display microwave if you want it. I said well it all dirty and door has open and close many times so we said we did not want that one so she said she would call another store well we live in greenfield in and she found one farther away at 300 s. Marlin dr greenwood in 46142 well we spent 5 hours that day buying a microwave and forth to two different menards store been a long time customer but not to happy this time richard l mcgill [protected] adress 3328 w sunset dr n greenfield in 46140 somebody damaged the microwave and looked likie it was repacked after looking at it closer.

Menards 25 percent "restocking" fee on "special" orders and rude customer service staff

Ordered the wrong kitchen sink online, returned the unopened box to the Eden Prairie, MN store three days later and was charged $54 because it was a special order? What is "special" about ordering a sink online? Most of Menards stock must be ordered online as it is not in stock in the store. Plus, the customer service staff at the returns desk are giving new meaning to the old adage, " adding insult to injury." Won't be shopping at Menards again. There is something really wrong with the culture, attitude and policies of this company and I suspect it originates at the top and permeates throughout.

This is a HUGE issue. There is nothing indicating that an item is a special order unless you click through a certain number of screens and even then, it is in exceptionally small print and very confusing. I am in a similar position and have filed a complaint with the consumer protection agency in Wisconsin for deceitful business practices. What state are you in? I am going to be filing a small claims court case in my situation, and I wonder if a "class action" suit may be a better way to hold this bad company accountable. I am happy to be contacted about this, and am not sure if this site will allow me to put my email here, but will try. nzuider@sbcglobal.net Please get in touch. If enough of us have had this issue, a class action suit may be the way to ensure that Menard inc pays for their deceit.

Menards Appliance

Our wall oven went out. We looked online and found one we liked at the Owensboro Kentucky store. My husband called the store and talked to a guy named Sean to ask if that store had the oven. The store associate verified the oven was there and even read the stock number off to my husband on the phone. My husband told the associate that he would be there to purchase the oven. The store associate told my husband that he would take the oven to the front of the store for purchase and pick up. We live an hour and a half away and my husband drove all the way there to find out the product was NOT the wall oven that he was told they had. The oven was going to be a surpise for me for Mothers Day. So just imagine the fustration and anger to drive 3 hours total. We have purchased alot of product from Mernards. I know it doesnt mean anything to you all because we are just the little people but it does to us. I will remember this when friends and family ask about Mernards.

Menards wilderness dog food

Sale paper ad shows wilderness dog food with a $8 instant rebate At checkout they said that only the blue color bag had the rebate. the ad only says wilderness dog food, what's the deal? Can you explain what was on the instant rebate. got a popup that said you probably would not reply to this complaint because it was too short. what a poor response that requires long notes to answer customer questions.

Menards service covering my extended warranty on a washer bought there

I bought a whirlpool washer at Menards and I got the extended warranty for it. When the washer broke down, I called them right away. The first time they could come look at it was 2 weeks, then they ordered the wrong part since they didn't come look at the washer before ordering the part. They just assumed they knew what was wrong with it. Then they had to order the right part which took almost another 2 weeks. Then they finally call me to tell me they got the part but I would need to wait another week for them to have an opening for them to fix it. That is rediculous, they can track the part and know when it will be in and they should automatically schedule me in to have the work done. I bought the extended warranty so that I would have a washer I could count on. I have had to go to the laundromat every weekend for the past month, that's expensive and time consuming and not fair. I have shopped at Menards for many things, I had a new roof put on the house last year and bought all the supplies at Menards and I still like Menards but I will never buy another appliance from them as long as they have this company servicing their warranties.

Menards customer service for returns

4-25-19 - Justin (wouldn't give me last name) which in itself is ridiculous. He doesn't want to he says. Isn't it on the board?
We purchased 10 arb shrubs in 2017. We returned them last year as every one of them had died. We are very pleased you offer this service and that makes us shop even more at Menards. When we returned the bad we went to the front desk. We showed them our receipt. They told us to leave them there and get new ones and bring back to front desk. We did. They told us OK that was all we needed to do. They did double check the receipt with the sku on the shrubs. That was it. We asked what if these ones die. We were told to just bring them back. I guess I should of questioned it further but as a consumer I feel that you guys should know your procedures. I, however, did keep my receipts. (According to Justin, everyone keeps their receipts from 2017) Well, 7 of them that are dead, we dug them up and brought them back. Justin (with no last name) had informed me that I need a receipt from 2018. That is policy. As I explained to him that if that is the case, why wouldn't they teach there employees to follow that policy cause I never received anything. The funny thing is that he said "I'm not calling you a liar" which in turn you just did and with an attitude. He asked me the name of the person who returned these last year. Really? Really? Do you know the turn over in that store. What did they look like he asks? Ok...cause the only thing I have going on in my life is to remember what the person who returned my arb looked like. Actually, I bet JUSTIN hasn't been there very long if you check. I am at that store at least 2 to 3 times a week. Not only for personal but for business as well! I can tell you who has been there awhile and there are not many! If we were given the proper paperwork last year when returned this would not be an issue nor would I question your Policies. But we weren't. I bet if you went back and looked at the number of shrubs returned to the number of return receipts it wouldn't match. I know when we were there, we weren't the only ones and they returned them the same way. JUSTIN needs to do his job correctly by not huffing and puffing and trying to blame us for his policy procedure failure. If he is the manager then he needs to manage and teach his staff the correct way to handle these situations. Not calling me a liar was a huge mistake on his part and you should evaluate how he addresses customers. I run a company and he would be fired for the huffing and puffing. He is doing his job and following procedures but I can tell you not all do obviously and that puts consumers like me in a very mad state. I shop there he doesn't. Customer service is everything to me and a lot of others!.

Menards flooring

DO NOT buy flooring from Menards! They will not work with you on problems you have had with it. I had contractors place the flooring and followed all of the correct measures and the adhesive was a complete failure. Menards won't refund me a dollar. I had an inspector from the flooring company come out and Menards still failed to help me in any matter. I will not ever purchase a single product from the store again. I will use Home Depot from here on out. Horrible customer service and horrible products.

Menards gas hot water heater for mobile home

March 24, 2018, ordered gas hot water heaer for mobile home. Email said it should be shipped on april3, so i checked the update, it wasn;t shiped till april4th, and' should' be in baraboo, the end of this week april 11tho 12th.
I am a 77yr old lady, and hauling water from my neighbor.
I always shop at menards several times a monthlove the store, but very dissapointed trying to get this order, almost 3 weeks, is not very good service.
Would like to think you would comensate me somehow, but then having over 3oo stores, sure you don't really care, but hope you do.

Menards mastercraft front doors

Please do not make the same mistake we did. Mastercraft is an extremely inferior constructed door. My husband and I made the mistake of purchasing not one but two Mastercraft front doors. Our first Mastercraft door started to pull apart shortly after installation. After contacting Mastercraft and Menards multiple times with absolutely no support we realized we were stuck with a piece of junk door. My husband repaired and caulked this door about every 3 months until it could no longer be repaired. I'm very embarrassed to admit that we were sucked in by Menards 11% rebate and purchased another Mastercraft door. This time we selected a fiberglass door because we were told by the Menards salesman that fiberglass would stand up to our northern Minnesota weather better than our original wood door. Well it took about a year and our $2, 861.39 door has pulled apart and is allowing snow and our -35 degree wind chills (I'm not exaggerating, check our temperatures) into our home. And yet again Menards and Mastercraft will not stand behind their piece of junk product. Mastercraft has offered to send us a new frame. So that means my husband has to remove the door and do the repairs himself with no compensation. It's a good thing for us that he is able to do this himself. For others who may not have the know how or the strength to remove a door themselves, they would have to hire someone to do the repairs. And once we have repaired this door, what's to stop it from doing the exact same thing. Please, please, please heed our warning... DO NOT BUY A MASTERCRAFT DOOR!

Menards mastercraft doors

I bought 12 mastercraft split jam doors. I had to special order them. No issues with this process. The doors arrived quickly and I picked them up and all was good... or so I thought. When the doors arrived on site, they were unpackaged and the doors were removed from the frames for painting. My painter was inexperienced and did not stop to tell anyone of all the problems. The problems are all workmanship. The 45 degree corners on the face frames are sloppy. Some contain 1/8 inch gaps which look like crap. The frames are attached to the jams with huge staples. There is no methodology to how the staples are applied. They are everywhere and many break through the casing... which will cause a problem during door installation. Because I had painted the doors I can't return them. It was then that I went online and researched Mastercraft and realized this company builds nothing but crap. There are hundreds of complaints. I trusted thus company because Menards typically doesn't buy/sell [censored]ty products. I will never buy Mastercraft again and I will go out of my way to tell people the same. Menards cashier

Dana at Defiance, Ohio store did not scan everything from my order that had been placed on the counter. These items were too large for a plastic bag, so once she gave me a total, I placed the large items back in my cart and paid my total due. After I had made my payment, she asked me if I already paid for those items. I was unsure what she was talking about until I asked which items. I asked if she scanned them and she told me "No. I didn't know they were part of the order." Attached is a photo of the receipt with the large items.

Menards discrimination

My son was shopping at Hermantown store. Was approached at checkout being accused of stealing ("that they were watching him on camera") he had an item in his cart - but put it on a random shelf before checking out because he changed his mind. They made him go through the store to find the item, DID NOT APOLOGIZE when it was made clear he never stole anything - was still treated badly at checkout and being watched. This is a man who has shopped Menards for years and years and spent a ton of money - has had 2 failed back surgeries and feels bad enough about his situation - to be treated like a criminal. I want direct contact information for someone who can actually apologize to my son and reprimand the cruel security crew at that location.

Menards custom kitchen cabinets

My husband and I ordered custom kitchen cabinets from your store, we spent almost 13 thousand dollars and not only did we not receive what we ordered but the quality was horrible. We have been trying to work with the cabinet company and Manards to resolve this issue. Ive posted pictures below of what we had problems with. The cabinet company (Cordell ) is replacing all the split doors but said they can not do anything about the Poor workmanship of the cabinet boxes themselves that we had to deal with Menards to see what they could do for us. And we are getting no answers as to what is going to be done to rectify this problem. Im very disappointed in your customer service. We not only spent money on the cabinets but we also spent almost 6 thousand on a lumber package. I really hope that something can be done so we can continue to shop at your store.

Menards barracuda 100 amp battery

Purchased a Barracuda Pumps 100 amp battery from Menards September 5, 2018. Lifted battery from shipping box with carry handles, observed both handles in grooves, carried battery 20 feet when battery separated from carry handles. The battery fell on my foot crushing thee toes breaking bones in each before tumbling down a flight of hardwood stairs damaging several steps, denting wall, and finally crashing on the tile floor in the basement. Contacted Michael Sales Ltd and Crown battery for reparations, after several weeks was told Crown cannot confirm any defect with the battery. This means that just by using the carry handles advertised on the box you can be injured or have property damage. I strongly recommend that Menards investigate the safety of the products they sell.

Menards customer service

I was in the Merrillville store on [protected] when I saw a racing track on sale for 9.99 at least that is what the shelf price said marked down. I picked it up and when I went to check out it came up for 12.99. The cashier put her light on to get help the customer service manger called for a price check. The person named JOE did the price check and it took him about 20 minutes I told the lady I would stand by the item and look for him. We got to the item at the same time he looked at the tag on the shelf took it down put it in his pocket and told me that it was in the ad so the shelf tag didn't make a difference. So I left everything that I had. If that's the way you treat your customers you are going to lose a lot of business.

Menards lyons contour soaking tub

I purchased this tub and am having the same problems with the floor cracking however Menards says they don't keep records of special orders and I can't find the receipt. It's now leaking. It was installed by a plumber but you can feel when you stand in it that the tub flexes ALOT between the built in supports. This is a manufacturing flaw. I am now seeing that I am not alone and will be taking action not just bluffing. Maybe we need a class action lawsuit. It's not just a matter of a new tub it requires drywall, new surround likely, and pulling up flooring which I am not paying for. It's absurd the number of complaints for the exact same problem in the same time frame.

Menards customer service due to damage

Special ordered a Covington Suncast 10 x 7 storage shed. It shipped to the Menards store in St Joseph, Mo. When we were able to pick it up the boxes were damaged. They assured us that everything was ok. We had the building started when one of the side panels was damaged. Due to being special order all I could do is contact the local store and report the damage. The lady I talked to wanted me to return the entire shed to the store. I explained to her that I had to wait due to the weather and for my shed crew to have a weekend to do this project.
I am unable to return the shed by myself. She then told me that I would just have to call Covington for replacement. I asked for a phone number and she said just Google it. They also informed me that they could have sold my shed to anybody that wanted it due to it being in their store for a few weeks. It took me a bit to coordinate having people to put it up for me. I am not sure as to where the damaged occurred on the shed but I hope they didn't receive it as damaged in the St Joseph store. When we went to pick it up it was on the highest shelf in the garden center.
At least the lady with Covington was very helpful and sent me the information for replacement.
Your customer service could use some work. Last years black friday this store sold gun safes and you had to load the gun safe on the store carts yourself and your vehicle on your own. They refused to even help us ladies. We had to call my sisters husband and he loaded gun safes by himself. You were lucky that none of these safes toppled onto other shoppers in the store. For safety safe don't you think it would be wisher to pick up a tag, pay at the register and load in the back?

Menards service complaint

I went to my local Menards in Sioux City Iowa and was looking to purchase a hand rail for my outside steps. I asked 3 different employees for what I was looking for and was sent to 3 different locations in the store. I finally get to the building parts desk and walk up to the counter to again wait to ask for help. I was left unnoticed and as 3 other customers walked up to the counter in front of me to be helped. I was never addressed so I head over in front of the girl working and ask her why she never addressed me as I stood over there. She didn't reply. I asked her to see if she had what I was looking for, at which point a gentlemen stepped up to help. He said they didn't have what I was looking for. I said I though I saw something online and he said in a snotty, cocky way, I know my inventory and I know we don't have that. Never have a felt so looked down on as if me being a woman at the building counter wouldn't have a brain. I told him I would be leaving to go to another place to shop. Not once did he try to talk to me or problem solve. He clearly didn't care about me as a customer. I did visit with the GM of the store and he too didn't seem to care that I was upset with the way I was treated. I did find out that the gentlemen that helped upset me was also a manager, which is unfortunate that as a manager he had zero disregard for me as a customer. It's sad in our world when customer service is so rude and people are treated like who cares if you shop here. Well I will be shopping somewhere where I am valued and it won't be at Menards.

I was at my local Menards store in International Falls, Mn today. Upon check out with 10 Fifty pound bags of whole corn, I was offered help to put these in my vehicle. I pulled up with my vehicle and waited. No one ever showed up. I can say I was greatly disappointed with the customer service. I have always had excellent customer service at this location. Why has it changed ? Please reply to debdunn73@gmail.com, I will in the future be giving Falls Feed and Tach my business with whole corn and other outdoor products

Menards delivery service

I paid for a refrigerator to be delivered today Oct 17th and the cost was $94. The driver called me at 12:30 and said my truck broke down and we are going to get another one or get this fixed and I will call you back. After an hour or do no call back I called Alex at the Menard Manchester Mo location and he said let me see what I can do. I told him I took the day off for this delivery and he said he will contact me back. After 3 hours I called him at 5 pm and he said let me check it out and call you back. No call back it is now 5:20 pm.
What kind of unprofessional service is this. I will be contacting the BBB.
I will not be purchasing merchandise from Menards in the future.
