Menards Troy built weed eater

I bought a Troy Built weed eater,got it home took about 100 pulls to start,then still have to run with the choke on.,Took back to Green Bay store for a return, they said I needed to take it 40 miles the other direction to get checked out before they will take it back,don't think it's my problem,to spend $20 in gas for their junky products,if you can't help with returns you shouldn't sell the junk

Menards Allura siding

My builder installed Allura siding on my house in 2016. They purchased it at Waukesha Menards on May 10 2016 and installed it the next 2 weeks. It began cracking in 2021 and has now gotten severely worse as it has over 60 cracks and is warping and bowing as well as shrinkage. they refuse to compensate fully for the replacement and will only pay for the purchase of new boards for the cracked ones and the compensation doesn't the replacement and subsequent painting to match the rest of the house. They blame this on improper installation which is bogus as 2 sides of my house (N and E) have very few issues but the other 2 sides (S and W) have major issues which will require me to replace 90% of the South side which is a large area and 40% of the West side. How does an installer do good work on 2 sides and totally forgets how to install the other 2 sides so this is ridiculous. Their product is defective and weather caused and not improper installation. They have had a class action lawsuit for defective product which was finalized in 2021 and claimants have until June 2023 to file. I am excluded because of the dates of purchase and install. Their problems are continuing as a WLS investigative team in February 2023 found people in a subdivision in Naperville having the exact same issues which Allura again said it was improper install

I am not blaming Menards for this but I surely would not do business with them as they are not to be trusted. Their product is defective still but they will not compensate the consumer properly. I did nothing wrong except to have their product on my house but am expected to pay for replacement and subsequent painting to match the rest of the house. I would implore you to not handle their product as their problems continue to be defective. I gives your business a bad name because of their inability to admit they are defective.

Menards Menards 11% rebate program

I like Menards as a hardware store but I am very disappointed with their 11% rebate program.

I submitted original receipts with the form and mailed it as instructed by Menards. It's been 6-7 months since I mailed it and I still have not received a check. I contacted their customer service about 2 months ago, and they confirmed that the check was mailed. Hence, I have not received it, they voided it and mailed another check.

However, I am waiting for that 2nd check over two months. it is absolutely unfair and should be illegal business practice across the USA. I am surprised that Menards is not investigated by the authorities since there are so many complaints.

I cannot believe that their two checks that they said were mailed long time ago were allegedly lost without any explanation.

Also, they do not have a phone number to talk to a live person. It's all through an online form.

Shame on Menards for misleading and scamming their loyal customers.

Desired outcome: I am hoping that the rebate check will eventually arrive in my mail.

Menards Order arrival

I placed an order for about $1800 in Ultradecking from Menards. I was quoted an arrival date or 3/3/23 (arrival at the Paducah store). It is not 3/4/23 and I have workers waiting for material. The online tracker shows the order to be sitting in Sullivan, MO for the 2nd day now. I called the Paducah store to try and get an honest answer on when the order would be in. I was told by a very rude young lady in orders/deliveries that it would be here when it gets here and the "ship" date is 3/5/23. I have the original order email that states the date it would be available for pickup in Paducah is 3/3/23 and the online tracker says it will be available today (3/4/23). I asked about the differing dates and got nothing but "oh well". I asked about cancelling the order and was told it would be a 25% restocking fee! When I told her this is unfair because Menards has already failed to deliver on their quoted date, she hung up on me! We have spent over $10K at Menards in the last year as work our way through or full house remodel. The 11% rebate is NOT worth the unreliable availability quotes and the extreme rude "customer service". We will finish our remodel over the next several years dealing with Coles, Lowes and Home Depot--stores that actually value their customers.

Desired outcome: I want a 100% refund on the order and a refund of $400 that it has now cost me to have workers waiting with no material.

Menards Two 4x4x96 sleeves and four 4x4 base Not able to return

I tried to return three items (40040404PB that has 4 items in the box, two of 400504408PS is 4x4x96” sleeves) on 4/26-23 for in store credit as I couldn't locate my receipt. I was told because I didn't have my receipt and the items were special order they wouldn't help me at all. I was not asking for cash I was expecting to purchase other items with the in store credit and my cash. This was at the at the Perryville rd location in Rockford IL

Menards Small tiller to return

Bought a small tiller yesterday try to use it and it was too much for me I have a bad back I called menards to see if I could return it and the gentleman that I talked to said I need to have it looked at. He gave me 2 different places that I could choose two have my tiller looked at. He said to have the guy write me out of slip saying that nothing was wrong with it and to also have him remove the fuel And for me to bring it to them for a refund. I did as he asked and when I got there to menards I was told that they could not accept this tiller because it had gas in it which was removed. I told them That I talked with a gentleman over the phone and this is what he told me to do, And that he did not tell me that I could not return it if I had already put gasoline in it, I was told that I would have to come back the next day to talk with menards manager. So today I went this morning to talk with the manager his name was bill He was rude! And told me that he could not take this back when I explained to him that I had talked to a gentleman and that he told me exactly what I needed to do to so I could get my refund. He told me I was missing informed and that I also misunderstood what he was telling me. I told him that I wish I had asked the gentleman's name and that I Also told him that I understood everything he told me and that I did everything he asked me to do. Bill told me that I did not need to be raising my voice and yelling at him I did not do either 1 of those and I told him I was not yelling at him. He told me that He would not accept the tiller and I asked him for corporate's number and bill told me that he did not have it And to go on The website Then he turned around and walked away. Bill told me that he would not be able to sell this tiller And for me to put it on marketplace.

today I went to Menard's on university Ave Saint Paul Mn. do to having foot surgery i needed to use a scooter and I brought a friend about 30 min into shopping we were approached by store security and my female friend was asked to leave because she was allegedly high on drugs or wait does she have a neurological problem. it took me a lot to even get her to come with because of this condition now again she does not want to come out of the house. so now i needed to fend for myself no extra help at checkout when i asked to see the store manager another associate came out and i politely asked him how he would feel if he was asked to leave because he was Asian. he got very offended and mean mugged me. bottom line the store manager sided with his employees and told me to leave the store i would like to comment we stole nothing we had ample cash funds to purchase the items and more that i could not get on my own do to my injury also I have spent well over 100000.00 in my years at Menard's. here is my issue we are the people that provide them their jobs if it wasn't for me and 100 of others there would be no Menard's yes I am one person but I spend 500 to 1000 a month there. Please this was very disconcerting and my friend has lost months of self-worth and refuses to come out of her room or even the house. In conclusion THANK YOU MENARDS . please copy and repost this make people aware of the devastating ordeal a few have done to two people.

Menards Designers image flooring

We purchased designers image flooring from Menards in Mishawaka, Indiana in August 2022. We had it installed by professionals and within two weeks of having it installed. It was peeling and buckling and popping joints and scratched up all over the place even though it’s anti-scratch. I proceeded to contact Menards through customer service, and they told me to fill out an already installed. I proceeded to contact Menards through customer service and they told me to fill out an already installed. Complaint, Menards forwarded my issue to the designers image manufacturer United Weaver, and they sent out a inspector months later, and while the inspector was at my house, he agreed and even pointed out how badly the flooring was made, and he even said he was shocked at how bad the scratches and things were after just a couple of months, but then, in his report, he was dishonest And said that it was installed wrong, which would have nothing to do with pieces peeling and scratches. So my warranty claim was denied and Menards is continuously saying there’s nothing they can do even though I have yet to speak to an actual person it’s just snail mail. I am absolutely floored by Menards, customer service, and their desire to stand behind a product that they still sell in their stores. I have now read multiple other issues with this flooring from other peoples complaints on other websites like this. I have $1200 worth of flooring that will have to be redone and I am at a loss of what to do, we are constantly getting socks, snagged on the broken pieces, and there’s probably a dozen places where the seams of broken and popped up. .

Desired outcome: I would like to have my money refunded so I can have a new floor laid

Menards Cabot solid color oil stain

On February 6, 2023 I placed an online order for ten Cabot® Solid Color Oil Driftwood Gray Deck Stain - 1 gal. (order #[protected]). The order was delivered on Feb. 10. Today I took off from work to stain my dock, and found that all ten gallons were white base only - no tint had been added to produce driftwood gray.
Prior to this order, on Jan 2, 2023 I had purchased 1 gal of this product to see if I liked it (order #[protected]). When it arrived, it had a sticker on the top of the can detailing what tint had been added to produce the driftwood gray color. None of the cans in my 10 can order had such a label. I have attached photos of the original 1 can order showing its label.
Because I had taken off from work and hired two laborers to help me, I needed to get the job done today. I took all 10 cans to Lowes, and had them add the tint needed to produce driftwood gray. Attached also are photos showing those cans, with the Lowes label, and their charge of $25/can.

Desired outcome: Please refund me the amount it cost me to have Lowes tint the white base:10 cans x $25/can = $250

Menards Return policy on 2 - 100 amp breakers

I returned 2 100 amp breakers
1 was a BR 100 amp 2 pole breaker
1 was a HOM 100 amp 2 pole breaker
I had lost the receipt.
Therefore I was given $ 83.67 in store credit
Merchandise return: [protected]/12/23 5:10 pm 3262 Ben
Which is not acceptable the reason being
I just purchased the breakers within a 2 week time frame
The price I paid was $ 66.75 and $ 68.25 total of $135.00
The instore credit was $ 83.67.
you owe me $ 51.33
$51.33 is the difference between what I paid and the instore credit.
Your return policy is of course not to benefit the customer.
As the in store credit for the 2 breakers are $ 51.62 and $ 25.85 = $83.67
With the explanation the you will receive the lowest price for these items since you have no receipt.
But I purchased the breakers 2 weeks ago and there was no sale on them.
They could not tell me when these lowest were or the dates of the lowest prices. Because if you had a sale of $25.85 on a 100 amp breaker there is no way you are making any money if the current price is $ 68.25.
So I am disputing your policy and would like a refund from Menards for
$51.33 a check. As an instore credit will benefit the store and mot myself as I paid cash for these items.

Desired outcome: send me a check for $51.33My information is Peggy Johnston 25873 State Hwy 6Maywood MO 63454

Menards Fellow employees

And again I work for the Fairborn store and this complaint #2. Today March 9,2023, the same Headcashier I complained about a few days ago decided to boss me around and yell at me with guests around. How you gonna let your guests hear another employee yelling at another one? And then I’m talking to another coworker bout something I didn’t get to let them know at Service Desk and another DM stuck there nose in our conversation and started going on off on me bout the situation between me and the Headcashier. No GM’s working, no DM for the front end cause it was his day off. Everyone higher up was all off today so nothing I could do but clock out and go home. I DID NOT QUIT cause I told my manager on duty I needed to go home and settle down and she said ok. The front end really needs help with its Headcashier before people start quitting and start making their own complaints other than me.

Menards Cabinets and overall poor customer service!

Re: INTERNATIONAL FALLS, MN Menards.

We built an addition to our home and against the advice and negative comments from others about Menards, we decided to go with them for our needs anyway. It has been nothing short of a nightmare! And to rub salt on an open wound, there is such POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! They clearly do NOT care about their customers, or making things right for the customer when it is Menard's mistake.

We live in Canada, 80 miles from our nearest Menard's store. We ordered a big, oak double door and it arrived without the correct options. It was unknown until we got it home and went to install it. It was also damaged. So that was a completely wasted trip. Had to reorder, wait another week to get the door again to install.

At that time we ordered some cabinets. They arrived with a broken piece. The piece had to be reordered. When it arrived, we made the 80 mile (one way) trip all the way there, only to find out that they had reordered the WRONG part! ANOTHER WASTED TRIP!

They reordered it again, and this time, it took from February 17 until March 3 before it arrived... should've been here in 7 days! Upon receiving email verification that the part had been delivered to the store, my husband made the trip yet again, FOR NOTHING! He got all the way there, and there was no part there for him to pick up! So now this is several 160 mile round trips wasted, not to mention the time, wear and tear on vehicle and the high price of gas for a damn $25 part!

I spoke to the store manager with my heavy complaint, and telling him that we should be somehow compensated for these wasted days and trips. It's not like running a few blocks to pick up. It is a TRIP in itself each time! No go... manager not willing to do a single thing to compensate, other than re-ordering the part. WOW! BIG DEAL! So in other words, at this point, they will do NOTHING to compensate customers for their (Menard's) screw-ups!

He apologized profusely, but also said his apologies were all that we would receive. I should have listened to others when they recommended AGAINST using Menards, but we wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Desired outcome: We would like to receive an adequate monetary compensation (can be in the way of an in-store credit) for our wasted days, wasted gas and wasted time/wear and tear on wasted trips to their store!

Menards Kitchen cabinetry

To whom it may concern, I am writing this letter in hopes of someone in Corporate getting to read this. I want to voice how Dissatisfied I was in my purchase of cabinetry with Menards and your manufacturer CabinetWorks Group. I purchased my cabinets back on October 30,2022. What I received was cabinetry with very poor workmanship. I spent over $10,000.00 in cabinets and accessories only to realize that the cabinets were falling apart when I received them the day of delivery. We immediately contacted CabinetWorks Group to voice our dissatisfaction and requested replacement for some of the cabinets that arrived assembled wrong, or they were damaged. I as a long time Menards customer was surprised that a company such as yourself would even do business with this kind of a company. To make a long story short our cabinets didn't all arrive and get installed until the middle of January. We incurred 4 months of storage fees for our countertops because we didn't have the necessary cabinets to have the counters installed, we also incurred extra fees from our installer because he had to come out 3 times to install cabinets. I can assume other customers have encountered the same issues I have no doubt about it. I will not recommend anyone to purchase cabinets at Menards because of all they will certainly encounter in doing so. Again, for the amount of money that we spent I would have expected better service and better product and not be told that all Menards does is order the cabinets for the customer and that any discrepancy has to be handled with the cabinet maker. Rest assure I will be sending CabinetWorks Group an email of dissatisfaction and their failure to make quality cabinets

Desired outcome: What I would like from all this is some sort of compensation to cover the extra fees I incurred and an apology from Menards for not really caring about their customers
