Backyard Creations Patio Table
We purchased a patio table from you (Backyard Creations Manufacturer) less than a year ago and the top is peeling. Tried contacting the company but got no response. Any suggestions on what we can do regarding a fix or replacement of this poor quality item?

I have sent a rebate in and sent emails
I have a rebate for $207.24 from October last year. I sent it in twice and emailed them 2-3 times they do not even acknowledge me. It was sent in November 1st and then I did not receive anything so I emailed them still nothing then I mailed it in again and still nothing and it was sent in within the rebate time. The rebate number is #0815002072470801844490359800 (10/17/21-10/23/21) Mail in by November 13th and it was way before that. Then after I emailed them again I said I mailed in again. I have been remodeling my home so I have been spending a lot of money at Menards and do not understand why they do not acknowledge me. I would like them to send me my money amount of $207.24. Please send me my rebate.
Thank you
Desired outcome: For them to send me my rebate of $207.24 Will someone please take care of my problem.
Company return policy
I wanted to get the word out to everyone just in case you haven't came across this to avoid this from happening to you.
DO NOT SUPPORT MENARDS!
We purchased a vanity on [protected] and with major shipping delays due to the pandemic which is understandable we have been patient to finally have arrive [protected].
We picked up the same day later realized not all the parts were included and a major crack. Due to all the delays we decided to return it.
I purchased with a credit card and paid this a year ago and the only solution is an in store credit. No flexibility at all. I really don't need anything right now that I don't want a $640 going to an in store credit. I understand the 90 day return policy however the item didn't arrive in 90 days and it was defective again not in my control.
I lost out of the intreste I could have made on that, I had major building delays caused by this, the extra gas to return and so forth.
Why is it so hard for a company to do good to customers when all I'm asking is a refund back the way I purchased it.
Furniture companies don't charge until it has been delivered. If Menards did this than I wouldn't have had any issues returning it in the 90 days. With the pandemic and shipping delays this is out of our control.
Share this so that we the people can stop getting stomped on. Let our voices be heard.
I sent this to the BBB and in the process of seeing what other options I have. Just don't let this be YOU as it's unfair when I did everything correct.
If you know what other actions or things I can do please let me know. I appreciate you taking the time to read this so let's change this world and make a difference together!
Desired outcome: To refund the same way the item was purchased instead of in store credit.
Rebate from Menards
I sent in a bunch of the rebates to Menards for my son's business. Not only have a got rebate check they have not responded in any way. Not though E-mail. Do believe it is a scam. Well think about it for spring jobs to look into fleet farm or Home Depot
Desired outcome: Like a response to what happened
Menards online ordering
I have tried to cancel an online order for 4 cabinet pulls amounting to $35. Only after I placed the order was I informed that the items would have to be on back order and not be available for 6 months. I immediately tried to cancel the order by calling their customer service number. Customer Service recording first asks for the last four digits of your credit card number and then immediate transfers you the a Capital One operator in India. I was told that the credit card company could not dispute the charge for 5 days and to contact the retailer. Menards does not responds to emails and their store will not help with online cancellations. The Indian operator gave me a phone number of a Menards store in Ohio when I asked why I was talking to her instead of a Menards service rep when I called Menards customer service. Such a go-around.
I will never shop at Menards again. Very shameful business practices.
Desired outcome: I expect a full refund of $35.20.
Rebates
I have submitted three rebate forms and proper documentation on three separate occasions and I have never received a rebate! When I check online the website has no record of them! Really guys? Three times? You cannot tell me that all three were lost in the mail! Menards needs to be investigated for false and misleading advertisement practices. Straight up fraud!
Desired outcome: Give the discount at the register!!!!!!
Former employee
Last friday march 4 I was in your store in plover. I was verbally assaulted by an employee. He was fired the same day. I still cant get over that. I went to the flooring department to ask him if he can help me figure out how much it would cost me for carpet and vinyl floor. He would not. After a while he went psycho, calling me every f. Word there is. Calling me karen, yelling that I am not his mother. My witness was dylan. He seen and heard it all. Even he was schocked. Then I went to buy some paint and asked if somebody can walk me to my car. It was scary. I didnt know if he was waiting outside. After the violent out break he left your store. The managers know about all. Today I went to file a complaint with the plover pd. That was a waste of my time. The guys name is maurizio. I know he is not working there anymore. But now I worry. I am 71 years old. I dont need that in my life. The managers were very nice to me. I am paranoid now because of that
Desired outcome: it would be the greatest if you would offer me something towards the flooring i am planning on buying
Refund
I purchased a jacuzzi tub in September 2021 and took advantage of 11% rebate. The tub didn't come in as promised due to shipping delays and unfortunately, I lost my contractors. I had to tell Menards that I needed to cancel the order. They promised me a full refund, only to find out later that the refund was minus the 11% rebate that I never received. Here it is March 2022 and after months of hour long conversations with creditors, I am forced to pay $100 for an item I did not receive. I will no longer shop at Menards and do no business with anyone who does business with them. I wish I would have read customer complaints about Menards before even going there to shop for my home. Please do your research, Menards has a bad habit of ripping their customers off!
Desired outcome: Receiving a full refund for an item I never touched. Not being charged for a rebate that was never sent out.
I worked there AWFUL
On FEB. 20TH, I had called Menards to inform the reason why I wasn't available to work on the weekends when I was scheduled: I had covid symptoms that made me have life threatening to the extent I needed to go to the E.R. My woman supervisor in the front end answers the call and yells at me.
"...well didnt you have the time to call us?" I am appalled by the behavior and I just said no. I couldn't because I was dying. Likewise, menards don't have the same values for someone's life. They don't pay for covid leave and I went home crying when their only solution was to transfer me to stockings. Absolutely racist as I'm the only Asian there which is I assume why the supervisor reacted that way. H.R and manager didn't apologize when I told them of the incident, I knew they acknowledged who it was and wished to keep her instead. If she didn't care about my life, I'm sure she's done some things too.
Menards, you're a horrible company.
Desired outcome: I'd like an apology and please give me money for covid leave.
rebates
purchased waterheater in dec. 2021 checked on rebate, rebates ended in november how convient called office they claim they never recieved any paper work of any kind really easy to offer a 11% rebate when you already know your not going to rebate it. should have went to lowes at least I would have a military discount immediately there
Desired outcome: i just want a rebate for waterheater
Making your employees wear masks.
Unacceptable guys! I'm a local contractor that spends around 30k a year at Menards. I can't hear well so I read lips. I can't communicate with anyone at your store. Please drop the masks! Until then I will be shopping at the other lumberyards that no longer wear masks! P.S. I know a few of your best employees left to work for companies with no mask policy's! un mask or loose more good workers!

I ordered appliances online at Menards 09/30/2021 for over $11,000 and received a rebate check (rebates can only be used in store to purchase products). I have not used the rebate and have the check. I had to canceled my order since my appliances are on backorder from the manufacturer.
Menards refuses to refund my full purchase amount and is deducting the unused rebate along with shorting my an additional $80.00 on my refund, I am only getting a little over $9800 dollars back.
Online cancellations can only be communicated via email. I have not been able to speak to a person and after asking via email for a customer service contact there has been no information provided.
The management at the stores "have nothing to do with online orders" and can offer no help.
Desired outcome: I want my full refund and can give them back their rebate check that can only be redeemed by purchasing from their store in person.
Customer service
we shop at Menards a lot! I topped in a few weeks ago to drop off free tickets for the remodeling shop downtown, Our company give them to us every year, It was 30 minutes before closing, and the employees were lottering by the customer service desk. I looked around to see where everyone was, but they were right there staring at me, and not coming over to help. after 15 minutes this young guy comes over finally, ask what he could do for me. I told him I just wanted to drop off free tickets. He said we don't take solicitation, I told him they are not solicitation just free tickets to the remodeling show. His show of uninterest was obvious, as he turn to walk away so flippantly. When back to his co-workers doing nothing. He was the most unprofessional sob, that thought he owned the store. I'm going back to Fleet Farm for now on, because as far as care Menards is turning into a Walmar.
Desired outcome: Better employees
Got the wrong product paid almost 200
I received the wrong product and I faucet I purchased from Menards in Cedar Rapids on the southside went to return it because it leaks and I’m being told that it’s not the same product and that they will not except the return the associate told me that it didn’t have any tape on it and two seconds later said that it was taped up so it’s not really panning out to what I’m understanding to be the truth
Desired outcome: Return or replacement
Been SMSing don't know how many times but never got a call wow what a waste of airtime 😢
I have also been smsing but never got a call i think this is a scam

Commercial garage doors
I bought two commercial doors (10'wide X 12'high). I purchased them on August 9, 2021. The original delivery date was November 9. I then get an update that the doors were pushed back to Dec 9. I'm assuming this was due to them not being put into the system/ordered until September 25. Now, fast forward to December 11, 2021. I still have heard nothing from anyone. I called Menards and they tell me my doors are laying in the storage area. For how long? I don't know. So I drove an hour to the store, only to find out my doors aren't complete. They don't have any springs included & the salesman didn't order the additional brackets I need for openers. I was told by the manager at the store they are expected to be there by Dec 22. They then call me sometime after Christmas, before Jan 1st and tell me my springs are in. So I drive another hour, only to find out they only sent ONE spring for each door. The guy at Menards argued with me that those doors only need 1 spring. So after realizing it's doing no good to argue with him, because he's the salesman and obviously knows more than me about garage doors, I drive home, another hour. I installed the spring, only to find out I WAS RIGHT. I do need two springs. The next day, another hour drive, each way, to the store and back. To get my other springs they told me "must be there somewhere", only to then be told they weren't delivered. They told me they should be there within a week. Well it's now been three weeks, I still don't have doors I can use. I built a $50, 000 building and my trucks sit outside. I can't plow my driveway because my tractor is stuck inside. Why? BECAUSE I CANT OPEN MY DOORS! I have spent a lot of extra time and money on this issue.
This is unacceptable.
Thank you
Desired outcome: I’d like to be able to use my garage doors I payed for. I feel like some sort of monetary adjustment is appropriate
Assembly of a TV Fireplace Stand
We went into Menards in Antioch and found a TV Fireplace stand. We found two works talking and asked for help. One worker assisted us and attempted to answer questions on this TV Fireplace stand. We told the worker that we wanted it assembled and delivered. The worker said it comes in a box and it will not require much assembly. I explained that we did not want a large assembly project. He said it would only need the heater put into the unit and it would be easy. We purchased the unit. Paid for delivery. The delivery men said upon delivery that there shouldn't be much assembly with no drawers. We opened the box the the delivery guys laughed. This Unit comes in a million pieces. A ton of hardware to install. the Unit comes completely disassembled and is required to all be put together. Needless to say how disappointed we are. We attempted to put this unit together and it isn't going to well. Not surprisingly, because we are not handymen. We called a handyman service and they want TIME and another $350.00 for two hours work. We have already paid for the Unit. Paid Menards to deliver and put in lower part of house and now we are expected to shell out another $350.00 or more.
Menards workers failed to tells us this unit needs total assembly.
They lied to us by telling us it would only require a little easy assembly.
We were very clear about not wanting to assemble a TV stand and would rather purchase one already assembled.
I will NEVER buy or go into a Menards Store again.
I will tell everyone I can how messed up this was and costly for retired people. I will find a social media site and explain to the buyer beware.
I called the Store requesting to speak with a Manger. I got someone very young identifying herself as a front manager who sounded young. After explaining the delivery and issue, she stated I will transfer you to delivery. I asked her if that is how we resolve this and she said yes. We don't come out and assemble. I spoke with Menards delivery and he stated that I would have to PAY to have them come out and return the unit. I asked him why would have to PAY again for something that was not our fault and we were mislead by store employees that we would be okay. I asked to speak to the Upper manager of the store and was transferred to the General Manager. I explained to him the whole story, explained that we attempted to put it together, wasted a day, lots of aggravation. So, I requested to have the store waive the delivery fees for all the trouble and call it a day. We were disconnected. No answer to my request.
Desired outcome: Buyer beware

Stolen Rebate Check
I am owed a rebate check from Menards in the amount of $48.30. They sent the check to me on 11/03. The USPS email I received concerning the day's mail indicated it was coming on 11/08. I never received it and it was cashed by someone else on 11/15. Since Menards does not require ID when people cash these rebates, it is like sending money in the mail. I have contacted Menards rebate center and they brushed me off and told me to tell the police. I sent a letter to the corporate office and they said the same. If they are going have this tedious rebate system, they need have protection against these rebates being stolen. Without checking ID, there is no protection. Just give us the 11% rebate at the store.
Desired outcome: A rebate check for $48.30
Good luck. I’m still waiting for my 11% rebate check for $2000 worth of garage doors I can’t use (They were shipped incomplete). They told me I needed to send in original receipt, so I did. Now they “have no record of it” and won’t except a copy of the receipt for proof. So basically, I’ll never see that rebate check!
My pillow
While shopping for many things in the Menards ad, they were out of almost everything on my list. When I found the My Pillow, I was very happy as it is one of the few things "in stock" and what my kid asked for. When I go to the register it rings for $10 more than what is in the ad. The checker calls the manager and says after looking at my product that it is the wrong one. I told him there were no other ones over in the section. After he comes back from looking he tells me they are out of stock. I asked him if I could get the one I have for the same price. The manager says no instead of going ahead and accommodating my request. I tried to explain that three force of the things that I came there for, that were in the ad, we're out of stock. The manager seemed as if that didn't matter. It would've been nice as a sign of good customer service to do that one thing.
Desired outcome: I would like to see Menards in accommodating the price difference of the my pillow sense like so many other things they were out of stock.
Kitchen countertops
About 2 weeks ago, I sent a complaint form into the corporate office via snail mail. I was told by our local Menard's (Lancaster, OH) that I could expect to hear back from someone at corporate regarding my complaint. I have not received any calls from you that I am aware of. I would hope that if someone calls and I am unable to answer that they would leave a message. I am trying to find out what your response is to my request. I tried calling, but the recording only states to send a letter via USPS or an email. Now, I hope to hear from you since I have now tried all my options. What happened was that when we picked up and installed our new countertops, afterwards I realized that the two sides of the kitchen did not match. Our local store has since replaced the incorrect side.
Thank you, Laura Burgett
Desired outcome: What I had requested was that you cover the expense of having the incorrect countertops to be removed and the new one installed. I included an invoice for that work to be done in the paperwork I mailed to you.
