Microsoft microsoft store complaint

Four days ago I attempted to order Windows 7 Ultimate Upgrade - (Download), for $219.99 at the microsoft store web site. I also opted to have a DVD copy shipped for an additional $14.95. Upon clicking to submit the order, the instructions stated I would receive an email containing the link to download the product.

I waited hours and hours and then for a whole day and did not receive any emails or confirmation. I logged back on to the microsoft store web site, and was able to check the order status which was still shown as "Pending".

About 34 hours after placing the order, I called their contact number and spoke to a customer service representative. They told me that sometimes orders get randomly chosen for review, and in those cases I should receive an email from microsoft 24 to 48 hours after placing the order. I told them that in such cases where they are choosing to delay processing an order for a customer, they should at least minimally send an immediate email to let the customer know what is going on. They made no such effort and did not integrate that sort of consideration for the customer. I was assured by their customer rep that I would be emailed or see a status update on the order within the 48 hours after I had placed the order. The customer service rep gave me a reference number to copy down.

The 48 hours from the time of order passed and I received no email whatsoever from microsoft, and no status update of the order on their website (still "Pending"). After a few hours more, I called the microsoft store contact number again and spoke to a representative. They were apologetic but could not provide me with any useful information. They said the order was still 'being reviewed' and they offered to cancel the order if I preferred. I reminded them that the sole purpose of online product (Download) ordering by customers is to get the product quickly, or have reasonable communications etiquette with regards to the customer. I told them that treatment of customers in this way, no communicating anything at all for 48 hours, not giving any order status at all via email/web site for over 48 hours, shows a serious lack of consideration to the customer by microsoft. I asked the customer representative if all the microsoft customers get treated in this way. Again they were apologetic, but could not give me any useful information or updates about the order, at all. At this point I had called them twice, whereas they had made no consideration to to update the customer (myself) during this process for over 48 hours.

Although I expected no credit problems, I called my bank's card services department to see if the order had been attempted and if so were there any problems. They told me there had not been any transaction come through yet, from microsoft or for that amount. Microsoft had not even attempted to transact the order yet, after all this time.

During all this time I had a system I had planned to upgrade and was at a work stoppage due to microsoft's extended and unexplained delay. I did not know whether to just go out and buy the product at a store myself, or just keep waiting - because microsoft did not show consideration enough to inform me or let me know any updated status of the order. Ultimately, I got tired of waiting and went straight out to Office Max and bought myself a copy without any issues at all.

These problems with the microsoft store were in no way credit related from a customer standpoint. I had ordered many items, had plenty of reserve to spend on orders. Microsoft apparently chose to withhold processing of my order without any explanation at all.

After four days, I finally received an automated email from microsoft store, (image attached). It stated that a problem was encountered and my order was not placed, and that if I preferred, I could attempt to place the order again. 'Come now!' - Do they really think I would want to risk going through all this again!? Their email also stated the email address was not monitored. Everyone, is the true current state of Microsoft's attitude toward customer care. They have become so big with their monopoly they have so amassed, and thus their value model reflects no actual concern for any individual customer. That's long gone.

I buy from them because of their monopoly and have no choice. But, if given another choice of an equally suitable product, I would definitely choose the non-microsoft product. They are not listening to customers. They only incorporate features in their product after someone else does it first, and then they take it or buy the company, or both. This type of customer treatment is why I hope the likes of Google and others will continue to be a thorn in microsoft's side, and ultimately I think it should be broken up like the oversized telecom of long ago. Something has to get their attention, because they pay no attention to customers anymore.

I agree with this complaint! I will never order again from MICROSOFT. I order from the MICROSOFT STORE ONLINE and they sent the WRONG PRODUCT TWICE. NEXT they said it's a TYPO on their website. Well why is still on INCORRECTLY after ONE WEEK!

Microsoft bad service, cheating customer

Put an online order on Feb 9, 2010 for Dell Adamo Pearl using online coupon. Order confirmation from microsoftstore.com received right away. On Feb 10, 2010, received another email from them said Order has shipped, including a UPS tracking number ( I chosed next day air saver service). My credit card was charged on Feb 10. Feb 12, nothing showed up and then call customer service. Put me on hold for 10 minutes and told me order actually not shipped yet for a couple of reasons they didn't exactly know. What the F**K. Talked to supervisor who can say nothing but apologize. The item was out of order. What is the real reason? Bad management, no committment. How come you've charged your client's cc and then after two days, you just told you customer you don't have the item in stock.

Go to hell. I used buy.com for many years, they never let this kind things happen for once, never. I look forward to the day google kills MS.

The Microsoftstore.com website makes it next to impossible to buy anything with its security and verification methods. Even worse, through 6 techical support and phone sales calls...neither can their employees and customer service figure it out ! After 3 days of trying to buy a notebook computer for my college daughter, a MSS tech service employee finally told me that Microsoftstore.com is having reload issues. Their tech support and customer service are mostly off-shore /3rd party contractors who walk me through the same fixes that don't work to make the website function and take the order. They show at least 12 attempts to buy this laptop and none work ...noone at MSS.com can decide how to fix their website problems. They have great offers on laptops for students and software but I am beginning to wonder if they really own the inventory and are simply trolling for customers to set up Hotmail accounts... Bad service, bad customer service knowledge, bad software...don't even bother as you'll waste considerable time and better to pay a little more and buy from a merchant who can actually load online systems that function. Haha...a software giant who can't figure out how to make software function.

I ordered games for xbox360 on Black Friday. Star Wars Kinect for $9.99. Microsoft store cancelled the order due to oversell, and still charged me the full amount on my card. When calling, I was assured they did not charge me the extra for the cancelled order...bank account says otherwise. Not good business to oversell, then cancel on customers during the Christmas season. Its 2 weeks later, I am scrambling for the game, and have to pay $40 more for it. Don't purchase through the website. Terrible customer service.

Microsoft abuse and threats

My best friend is being sent abusive and threatening emails from an hotmail account. She is a very nice person and is presently married.We cannot think as to who would want to do something like this to her. I wish to let hotmail know about this and shutdown that account but I do not know how to file complaints against specific hotmail accounts..if anyone can guide me as to what action I should take please let me know.. Your help is very much appreciated..

everytime I open to check my mail I recieve this "there is a problem with this website security certificate " or "the security certificate presented by this website has expired or is not yet valid aaa'

Someone got into my account and is requesting $2900 from those in my contact. Saying I am in the UK and needing money for a tictet to get back to the US. I want this investigated to find out the source. Plus, I need to know what to do immediately. I do not want a identity theft created. Plus, I do not want anyone in my contacts to send money. The fact that you are using a free account from a third party solution shows that your IT team isn't doing their job, the business team is putting customer information into the ether, and your company as a whole could be liable for any number of federal violations.

I hope that you've let someone in your chain of command know of this screwup, and you should talk to your IT staff about some security awareness training.

Mt e-mail at Hotmail.com was hacked yesterday making it so that I couldn't get on it. All items had been changed and now all of my customers and contact are receiving e-mails from someone in London wanting $1500.00 sent to them and they are signing my name...What can I do about this. I have been referred by tech support for your help. I have been hacked into my email acct. marymonaco00@hotmail.com. I have been blocked with my password. I opened a new account which you can reach me, marymonaco12@hotmail.com. I need to get into my old account either to use it or delete it. I cannot just leave it in limbo. My address book is very important to me. I went into Home Depot to print out a coupon, and FLV Player said I had to install their program in order for to print, I was instantly hacked, lost my internet and my email account is now blocked. Please respond, I need your help.

Microsoft wrong product, just to make a sale

Subject: i request a refund.
I did make a purchase from specialized solutions (known as quickcert ) only for the following reason:
That this online study (and dvd study) can be used by a person in different career (not with any programming background).

The sales person, steven vang, at the time before my order went back to ask 3-4 times.
If this misunderstanding (i hope not a big lie) did not happened i would not be ordering any these on line material.

The following is the time and date i have been in contact with quickcert in attempt to resolve this matter.

I wouldn’t purchase microsoft 70-536 from quickcert, if i have not been promised that, quickcert courses are working for absolutely newbie.
All book and courses i come across do require minimum of 2 (two) years of experience programming (c#, vb ...).
I did some research what i need to take mcts 70-536 exam, .net framework application development foundation. i already have some books and all stated at the beginning you need 2 years of experience to be able to use this material.
I was looking for something that will work for me, since i did not have c#, c, c++, java, vb or other developing/ programming experience.
The sales person, st. van g., from quickcert did assure me, after consulting with and expert, they have the right product for me. i was skeptical. since i already own the microsoftpress book and 2 others.
He consulted back several time and like he put it “i am going to ask if this course is for a person who is in different career and is looking to get into .net framework and take 70-536 exam” .
First he promise me 1 free course, that according to him and quickcert experts should be a preparation for been able to use 70-536 course.
I was not convinced, so he give me a 2 second free suppose to be the very basic of what i need it to get ready to use 70-536, which i will buy.

Well i believed mr. st. van g., i did pay, unfortunately, for :
1. microsoft 70-536 ts: microsoft .net framework - application development foundation c#
2. microsoft 70-502 .net framework 3.5 - windows presentation foundation - c#
And, i he let me 2 free lessons that suppose to be a stepping ground to go into mcts 70-536 exam., here there are :
Core foundations of microsoft .net 2.0 development - c# - this is the same like microsoft 70-536 i paid for, but just the older version .net 2.0 . the first 3 to 5 module are word for word the same. may be the same after that.
Microsoft introduction to microsoft .net - is nothing but a sales pitch on all possible certification you can get, but nothing to build up your knowledge on c# so you can use 70-536 .

Microsoft billing with no product/download

I made several purchases on Jan. 20th and 21st for computer software/downloads. I have been charged for these products and downloads but have not been able to download anything at all, at any time since. I have paid in over $4oo so far. I have called Microsoft, Digital River, and orderfind.com. EACH and ALL has told me they have NO RECORD of my purchases yet they ACKNOWLEDGE billing me. My bank has given me all transaction information which shows each. debit to my account. They all come from Microsoft/Digital River/orderfind.com.
AGAIN!, EACH OF THESE COMPANIES HAS TOLD ME VERY EXPLICITLY THAT I AM THE ONE IN THE WRONG AND NONE OF THEM HAS ANY RECORDS OF MY NAME, EMAIL, DEBIT CARD NUMBER OR ANYTHING!HOW in the world is that possible?!?!
I wanted Microsoft home and student 2007, a Professional upgrade, I converted a trial period into a full purchase, I HAVE RECIEVED NONE OF THESE SERVICES OR PRODUCTS! I WANT MY $400 BACK! The bank is investigating as well, they see very obviously!, charges. This is disgustingly obnoxious fraud! You lied to me AS YOU ACKNOWLEDGE me, then tell me Im wrong, Im out the money, and conveniently enough, there's no record, EVER, of any purchase! I am filing charges with the bank, on my own, and notifying several agencies. Bill Gates doesn't need my paltry dollars! Give them back, Ill purchase elsewhere!

Microsoft microsoft online store

I purchased a Toshiba laptop from the Microsoft store online on 1-1-10. Delivery was scheduled for 1-8-10. Microsoft hired UPS to deliver the computer. The computer was delivered to someone else, and the someone else who signed for it denied receiving the computer. Microsoft, from the first to the third phone call has done nothing but jerk me around. It refuses to refund me my money or send out another computer. I would not advise anyone to purchase anything from them. I have had much better luck with high price purchases at places like Amazon and BuyDig.

I am out the money and have no computer to show for it. The customer service people act like they are in India or some faraway place and do not care. Be careful when making high end purchases from Microsoft.

They had a good deal on the Toshiba laptop, but now that good deal seems too good to be true. I would rather have paid more than to have this hassle. They (Microsoft) is anything but consumer friendly.

Microsoft pre order cancellation

I placed an order - 9724324 with Micosoft store on Dec 24 2009 but due to some issue in authorization they said to call them back on Monday the Dec 28 when the Authorization deppt is open to process the order
The Call reference number is -[protected] with Microsoft store associate.
But the associate on Monday suggested me to place the new order at the same price as was earlier. He took the new order -9831194 with the price of $749.25.However the deal was over by that time but he helped me to place the new order at the old price because
Later on when my confirmed the status of my new order i was told that the new order can't be processed because the price was changed to
$999.00 when the new order was placed.
They agreed it was their mistake but said they cann't help.

I think i have been cheated. Because of this i did n't order any other deals available to me.and now they are asking me to pay extra $250.

Same situation here. Ordered two laptops online but didn't get the confirmation. I Called them next day, the lady got all my credit card info tried to reorder at the same price on which I ordered my laptops but failed, giving me the ticket number as their servers are not responding and told me that your order is on hold and we will process as soon our servers respond and asked me to call after two hours. But when I called, another rep told me the price is no more available and if I want to order the same laptops I have to buy on the newer price. What is this? This is not my fault. But he refused to help me in this matter and ending up with big SORRY.

I have received a similar kind of mail and they have stated that I have won 500, 000.00 USD as prize by Electronic Balloting System. In that mail they have attache Yahoo and Windows live logos. The most surprizing thing is that they have 1st mailed me with a name as shari@2momsintheraw and have told me to contact Mr. Mohani Adez at ibibo.
Ibibo is an Indian website and 2momintheraw is a company for raw foods. I am amazed how these people can use such domains. At 1st I didnt know who he is so I contacted him and told him to give me an explanation about it since yahoo or MSN are not stupid to give their money away like this, instead that person sent me a Payment Approval Form. then I searched this man on yahoo and got to see your complaint about this person. Just a minute ago I repleid to him that I will not provide you with any information untill you contact me on my cell phone. Thank you very much guys...

I ordered Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 Full License-English on 8/26/09. The order number given was CNL201462969. The total of the order was 109.98 which included 99.99 for the Software and 9.99 for a License Lock Box:Digital backup service and License key for 9.99.

The Product key was given in the Order Printout but the Software nor the License LockBox were never delivered.

Microsoft tampered xbox 360

My Xbox 360 with less than one year of life showed last august 3 leds error, sent to germany for repair the Xbox return non repaired and with a letter that state that the consolle was "tampered" so Microsoft removed my guarantee sticker.
The consolle once was fell over and broke a little piece of plastic but then work alright for several months.

Microsoft did something totally wrong and illegal, I will never buy again their products.

The funny thing is that I had always bought legal full price Games (20 in one year) for the Xbox and never went on the web with the consolle, so it was not banned or in some way modifyed...

I had the same problem with sending my xbox to the Germany service center. They are claiming I tampered with my xbox and the serial number is different on the disk drive than the one on the outside of the xbox. Someone has broken something in my xbox because I can hear a piece moving around. They are claiming to have recieved pictures from the first service done on my xbox because of the red ring of death. These pictures show the original serial numbers all intact. Any advice?
